SeaWorld was really fun! Not only do they have sea life animal exhibits and shows, but also some cool roller coaster rides. There were about 4 roller coasters that are for thrill seekers. The Manta ride is where you are in the superman prone position going through loops. The Mako ride is a fun roller coaster where there are several ups and downs so you get to feel the zero g's a few times. The Surfing roller coaster is the coolest coaster, where you are riding in a standing position. You are still be supported be a "seat" between you legs and a shoulder harness. A few of the ups/downs where you could be lifted off your feel, really thrilling. The roller coasters are included with admission. If you go during peak times, the wait may be long for these lines to ride the coasters.
I was really happy to see the manatees, beluga whales, orcas, and walruses. These are animals I don't get to see where I'm from. I get that most people say Seaworld is bad for the animals keeping them in a prison. From what I can see with my limited animal experience, they seem to be well taken care of. Also, Seaworld does say that a portion of the proceeds from ticket sales. We did the Rescue Tour (additional cost), so we were able to see the research facilities, medical facilities, and rehab facilities that help the animals. Seaworld also takes part of animal rescues, such as turtles, manatees, dolphins, birds, etc. During the rescue tour, we were able to see the boats and the big truck vehicle used to transport the animal, like an ambulance.
We spent 1 day at the park, it was just enough. I would have liked to have an extra couple of hours to see more. If I could foretell the future, I would have avoided the sea lion / otter show. Their show was a little on the mediocre side, I've seen better shows/training. The orca show was really cool to see from underwater. The dolphin show was fun. But if you had been to other parks, this one wasn't anything special.
The food was expensive here. I spent the whole day at the park, had looked at the restaurant menus and did not see anything worth eating with the price they were charging. So we just made do with a snack bar and waited until closing to go find somewhere else to eat. At least you're allowed to bring snacks into the park. So I won't dock them on their rating for the expensive food.
