Venturing forth, the adventures began with a sense of excitement. The environment felt incredibly clean, with a refreshing atmosphere. As we explored, we happened to notice many starfish along the sandy shore. Delicate and beautiful, the starfish added to the wonder of the scene. Numerous crabs scuttled across the wet sand. They scurried away as we approached, always cautious of the unknown. Such a place provided a delightful experience. Experiencing such a scene felt memorable. 😎🌴🏝

Sebastian Inlet State Park is a special place. There are two sections of the park: one north of the inlet bridge with ocean beach access, food concessions, and a swimming cove on the inlet side and one south of the bridge that offers a campground, fishing museum, gift shop, bike trails, boat launch, and fishing piers. The facilities are clean and the staff are friendly. Admission fees are reasonable. Highly recommended.

We love this park and will return every chance we get. All natural Florida without the expense of a resort. Beautiful beach, fishing jetty and beautiful lagoon, shallow clear water off that Sebastian Inlet, dolphins will swim in and out and are regulars at this lagoon. Nice campground and fishing museum and another Treasure Coast museum.

Google
Beautiful camping spot! Take your fishing gear and bicycles. Lots of wildlife in and out of the water. We saw a lot of birds, manatee, dolphin, etc. Take note, there are a lot of mosquitos and no-see-ums, but that's typical of Florida this time of year. The museum wasn't open and that was kind of disappointing, but there is so much more to do!

Google
Great place, I love it. The rangers are super friendly. The only bad thing is the mosquitos and no-see-ums. Go prepared if you camp here during June and July.

Google
Campground has beautiful water views in a lot of spaces. Electric needs upgrading. We only had 1 AC on and never had more than 110 v. Lovely spot to fish, watch the dolphins, boaters and just relax. No See ums were horrible this trip! Deep woods off didn't touch them. So cover up if you are allergic like my poor hubby.

Google
Hmmmm. The views of the inlet are beautiful but during our stay the 3rd week of March 2025 the wind was so bad we couldn’t leave our awning out on our camper. And it was too blustery to sit on the beach. But the absolute worst thing was the No-See-Um bugs that made it miserable to sit out. The campsites are very close. I don’t plan to return here just because of the No-See-Ums. Too bad because the views and sunsets are amazing.

Google
We traveled to Sebastian today to check out the State park. It cost us $8 to drive in. Make sure you hold onto your receipt because it will get you entry to each entrance of the park. We walked around in the shallow water picking up shells, catching little crabs and watching the dolphins swim nearby. We loaded up, drove over the bridge to another part of the state park. Showed the nice lady at the booth our receipt from before and we were in. This side had a nice size lagoon. Fairly shallow water for kids to play and dolphins would chase fish in and out. It was super nice. I will be back

Yelp
By far the best beach and swimming inlet we have ever been to. Our favorite summer memories reside here at Sebastian. We live a hour away, but if we were closer we would be regulars. I have had so many magical moments here with my family embracing Mother Nature. My first advice is to come during the week or after lunch time. On peak summer days it can be at capacity and pretty busy. The water is crystal clear. There are no aggressive waves. The water is gentle and nice for little ones. When it's high tide you can snorkel around the rocky areas. I would suggest bringing water shoes, a small net and a pail (for fishies/crabs) . Our kids have been delighted to catch and release fish and crabs. Something amazing about Sebastian Inlet is the Manatee's! We have seen them just inches from us and it's amazing. Put on those polarized glasses and those giant looking rocks floating around are actually Manatees. They are known for being here. The beach is just outside the outlet and dolphins are also known visitors. They love chasing fish inside. As if I haven't already convinced you this is the best spot ever, the beach right outside the outlet is known for the best surfing. You can always find some awesome fishing spots here. Overall you can always anticipate a beautiful day here. Don't miss out on one of Florida's best kept secrets.

Yelp
We're in town celebrating a graduation and we decided to pass by and hit up this beach. We arrived early (8:00 am) to avoid the crowds and get parking close by. It was an absolutely fantastic and beautiful beach. The park fee isn't too bad it's only $8.00 per vehicle. The are was well maintained, clean and welcoming. We enjoyed the day and would highly recommend it to anyone that wants a relaxing and pretty beach.

Yelp
Sebastian Inlet State Park is absolutely beautiful. I love this area of Florida and when I lived in Florida there wasn't a State Park I haven't visited. Sorry I don't have photos. In my park walking and hiking days I was absorbed into Mother Nature. I visited this park with my daughter and friends and family on a regular basis. Butterflies, birds and insects abound. I love the boardwalk that's clean and comfortable on the feet! I'm recommending to anyone that loves hiking out in the Florida heat and humidity. Or go in December when the kids get their school vacations!! That's what I did! Sebastian Inlet State Park is a Florida state park located 10 miles south of Melbourne Beach and 6 miles north of Vero Beach in Florida. The park lies on both sides of the Sebastian Inlet, which forms the boundary between Brevard and Indian River counties. The land for the park was acquired by the state of Florida in 1971. In 2010, it was the second most visited state park in Florida.

Yelp
Family friendly tidal pool , world class fishing dock, they have a Campground boat ramps, and a small store. Friendly employees and it's very clean.

Yelp
We usually love coming here, but today was not our day for fun in the sun! The person in the front entrance was very nice- they charge me $7 for my type of vehicle. Once in, there are at least 3 parking lot, all pretty close to the water area and bathroom. Once parked, we heard thunder but no rain yet- we were hopeful. We took our things and headed to the water area. Good news- there were not a lot of people, bad news- we came in a low tide day. The area was not full of water but the kids still have fun. We saw a bunch of seagulls catching fish, boats passing by and people fishing. We found a lot of different kinds of seashell. The only, slightly, negative note I have is that the bathrooms were hot when we were changing (no air flow).

Yelp
This was an interesting park that I would definitely like to return to. My main experience with state parks is MacArthur State Park in North Palm Beach, so I when I saw this park, I wanted to try it to. It has 2 seperate sides, on the north and south side of the inlet, which unfortunately I did not see all of because... we list our ticket! Don't lose your ticket :) A major plus is there is a sectioned off portion of the inlet at its mouth, almost under the bridge, a protected area that is perfect for kids. Reminds me of Dubois Park. We lunched under the trees in a grassy picnic area, grateful for shade and seating. We saw grasshoppers and a gopher tortoise and birds. The parking area there has zero shade, which is unfortunate. The parking adjacent to the picnic area is also behind an entire building here dedicated to bathrooms - and this was one of the nicest park bathrooms I've ever seen - with changing rooms and a huge ceiling area. It was terribly hot though, with no fans or air circulation. Behind the bathroom, a short boardwalk led to an unguarded beach area north of the pier. Pretty crowded on a holiday weekend. The showers are in the middle of the boardwalk; I appreciate them not being in the parking lot! There was also a two-story restaurant here and we did not go to it. It was way too hot to do much of anything!

Yelp
Overall a nice beach to visit at least once.. Thetr seems to be 2 entrances to the park off A1A. We took the 2nd entrance heading North on A1A. We got there around 12:30pm and there was a line to enter the park. We were in line for about 20 minutes. I preferred the beachside next to the Surfside Grill and Gift shop. The side to the right of the pier with the shallow water was crowded and people had chairs and tables in the water. The sand was full of shells and other debris. It had a sticky texture that did not wash off easily. I appreciate the quantity of bathrooms and separate stalls for just changing clothes. The ramp from the parking lot 3 was a short walk to the beach. The water was beautiful. It seems to be a popular area for people to go fishing on the pier. There are a lot of picnic tables to bring food and eat there.

Yelp
Sebastian Inlet is located in Sebastian Inlet State Park in Brevard County. The park offers surfing and fishing opportunities and has a bathing inlet where one can swim close to the dolphins. We appreciated a sunny day relaxing by the inlet beach, and enjoyed the pleasant surroundings.
google avatar

Stephen L.

Yelp
Just a nice state park. The park is on both sides of the bridge, so it covers some ground. I love water and this park has it; nice beach with a local store for food and souvenirs. Will come back when I'm in the area.

Yelp
Omg The whole year I wasn't able to swim in the Atlantic Ocean cause of waves and gross seaweed with flies and when someone told me about this I jumped to check it out. I gave 4 stars for the seaweed. The dolphins do come in to eat fish and people flock here early cause they get full fast.

Yelp
We were staying at a rental home about a mile or two away, but wanted to explore a new spot, as well as find a beach with less waves for our little kids. On that front, this was a nice spot to spend part of a day. I believe it was $8 per car to enter. The inlet that we came for turned out to be the highlight of the visit. Sure enough, not many waves, lots of very shallow areas for the kids to walk around in, little crabs to look for, and the energy of everyone else being there (more on that in a second). There are other areas with a long fishing pier where you might catch some dolphins hunting for their next meal (we didn't) and rows and rows of fisherman. Unlike the nearby inlet, the current running alongside the pier would whisk you away to the Bahamas it looked so strong! The only knock on this place was that we were coming from a quiet, private beach to this and it was super packed. Most people were great, but then there were some kids chucking rocks at people and folks setting up mere inches from our beach spot that made it a little uncomfortable. I think it's likely worth carving a few hours on a nice day to be here, but if you've got private beach access, soak it up there instead.

Yelp
We stopped here on a whim and it was so worth it, it's 8 bucks to get in. We went to the north side to walk out on the jetty, which was such a nice view. It's a mini fishing village out on the jetty, they come to stay all day. You get to see a ton of Pelicans and other birds pretty up close and personal. The beach to the left of the jetty was so nice. Great for shelling! We went on a Wednesday and the beach was empty. There were quite a few people back in the lagoon though. We will definitely be back here and wanna try BG's Surfside after a chill day on the beach.

Yelp
Beautiful beaches and an amazing sea turtle nesting program by Sea Turtle Conservancy!
google avatar

Saphir S.

Yelp
My family and I spent a night camping here. The views are beautiful and if you book early enough, you can get a campsite right on the water. The park hosted a fun evening of live music during the weekend we stayed there, which was super fun. Bathroom facilities were clean and even included showers. The main issue was the no-see-um bugs at the campsite. We had a hard time enjoying ourselves despite covering up in clothing layers and spraying with insect repellent. We were bit throughout the night and had a hard time sleeping in our tent.

Yelp
I really enjoy this park. It's absolutely gorgeous and if you catch it at the right time the water is crystal clear! I have to say though, the ocean is much better than the inlet. The inlet is kinda gross to me so I don't swim over there. LOTS of wildlife. I was swimming with my partner and we saw a sea turtle just one foot from us! We've seen dolphins, manatees, sharks and stingrays. With that being said, if you bring your littles make sure you are watching them closely. No lifeguards. Beach is free of trash and never crowded. Sea turtle nests in season. There is also a cafe with food. It's not award winning but it'll get the job done. It's $8 cash to get in. My only complaint is there is no showers. Showers would make this place far above all expectations!
google avatar

Kristin S.

Yelp
This place has wildlife galore. There is something for everyone from clear water, boating, fishing, crabbing, we swam with a sea turtle here. Lots of very nice locals. Bring the family and stay for the day. The water does have lots of crabs so would suggest water shoes. We did the nature trails to start the day then did swimming, and shell searching to finish. Its beautiful, not over crowded. If in the area check it out!!!

Yelp
I must say this is probably the nicest campground we have ever stayed at. First time camping in a state park but this one totally rocks. We were right on the Indian River right where the river meets the ocean. Beautiful beautiful light blue water and yellow sandy beaches within steps from this park. We rode our bikes all over and went downtown by car onto Indian River Drive to have dinners. A road on the river full of restaurants and shops! Many many fishermen out in the river at the park and everybody's catching! If I had to give any negative it would be for the Noseeum's. They were thick and biting us and all the neighbors too!
google avatar

John G.

Yelp
Amazing place. Large state park with trails, camping, and two large piers for fishing. Large inlet where the sea rushes in and out of the Indian river. Very popular for fishing from piers, shore and boats. Also has a restaurant with not very good food but great views. Easy access to beach and fishing piers. Lots of wildlife including dolphins, whales, turtles, and sea birds.

Yelp
Good place to visit for people looking for surfing, beaches or fishing This is located south on A1A on both sides of, you guessed it, Sebastian Inlet. The cost for a one day pass to the park is $8/car. The north side of the park has access to 2 very different beaches: one is calm and the other has surfing waves. There were about 20 surfers on the day we visited and the waves were 2-4 feet. There are 2 piers. One extends under the bridge and one is one side of the ocean side to the inlet. If you are a fisherman, this seems a good place to be. We saw a lot of fishing going on both of the piers on the north side of the cut. There were at least 4 places to access the ocean beach and 2 buildings with restrooms. There is a 2 story building that has a store and food. The easiest method to get from the north to the south side of the park is to drive there. You have to show your pass to the ranger on the other side. This side has a museum, more small fishing piers and camper parking. The museum is only open until 4 pm so we did not get to visit. Overall it is a very nice park. The staff were friendly. The entrance fee is reasonable and there is a lot you can do at the park. Enjoy.

Yelp
I am loving this state park. We have a waterview from our RV campsite. We arrived after 4. Quick & friendly checkin. Got to our campsite and just after setting up another park ranger stopped by and gave us suggestions of things to do during our stay. Really friendly. It is pouring rain and hopefully it passes tomorrow. We are looking forward to walking "the Hammock". And walking the beach, and just sitting by the campfire (fire pit, picnic table, electric and water provided). When we check out we will swing by the restaurant the ranger recommended.

Yelp
Wonderful gem of a State Park. Many opportunities for fishing, birdwatching, surfing and beach walking. Campground is hard to get into but worth the effort!
google avatar

Melissa R.

Yelp
Beautiful state park. Wonderful fishing areas, swim areas, snack bar, campground. We loved everything about it. Has a small fishing museum and a shipwreck treasure museum that are super interesting. Great place to camp or just spend the day. Lots of wildlife, manatees, dolphins, crabs, starfish, bald eagles, sea turtles etc.

Yelp
Nature! Beautiful! You can find a lot of peace here! God is here! It is always nice to be around nature and wild animals and plants/trees. Absolutely the best!

Yelp
This will be our second camping trip to this park and we truly enjoy it! I am a beach lover and the beaches in Sebastian are amazing, with very few people on them. The campground is on the Intracoastal side of the park and it is a very nice one at that. If you can get a site on the water towards the boat ramp, that is a newer section with larger sites. They have water and electric hookups and nice bathroom facilities. The rangers are visible daily and available if needed. There is an ice machine that is very convenient located near the small fishing pier, first I have seen of it's kind... swipe your debit/credit card and the door opens and grab your bag of ice. The area and park itself are amazing, wildlife seen daily from manatees and dolphin swimming by to all types of water fowl. On the beach side of he park out on the jetty you can see groups of manatee and schools of stingrays pass, it's just magical. We love sitting on the beach watching the few surfers catching some waves, just a very relaxing beach. It is about a 15 to 30 minute drive to the closest grocery store depending on which direction you go. There is minimal traffic through this stretch of AIA and if you really want to disconnect from the world I highly suggest this park !! We will be back to camp again !!

Yelp
This is one of the best state parks that Florida has to offer. While you won't see frills here, that's exactly what makes it so special. It's very well maintained and clean which makes coming here an enjoyable experience. There's a restaurant on premises which offers casual dining amongst nature. Be prepared to pay the daily entrance fee to access this park which helps keep the park maintained and and staffed. Florida has so much more to offer than busy cities and a bountiful nightlife. They have a beach area on the inlet that isn't overly crowded either which makes it easy to bring children. They also have a campground which is a waterfront gem in all its rustic glory. There's plenty to explore so a trip here is always worthwhile and scenic.

Yelp
What a fun place! Pack a picnic lunch as they picnic tables to enjoy it! Nice Pier. Great time indeed!

Laura H.

Yelp
This park is full of no see ums. I will never come back here. my husband and I are covered in bites. We were told the bites will take two weeks to heal. Would of been nice to have a little warning . Now our trip is ruined. We are both miserable and thinking we will go to urgent care in the morning. Don't come

Yelp
I just absolutely loved this place it was fantastic such a beautiful park with amazing ocean access, clean natural public beaches, and it was very relaxing. I enjoyed a nice lunch here when I visited and sat looking out at the beautiful Atlantic while hearing gulls and other birds going about the day. This park has numerous trails, water access for fishing, boating, and swimming on the interior of the park. They do charge about 8 dollars a vehicle to drive into the park so be aware of that. They've got a very cool fishing pier on the inlet that was packed with folks taking in the views and fishing. I loved this place you will too!
google avatar

Emily M.

Yelp
I love going to this inlet! I like that the water is calm and clean. We were there once and saw three manatees swimming in the water! It gets really busy in the summer time, however we just went (early December) and we were the only ones on the inlet side! It was enjoyable. I also like how there is a restaurant there for you to eat at, and bathrooms.

Yelp
First I will start by saying overall we really enjoyed our camping trip to Sebastian Inlet State park. We were in campsite 8 that had a lovely view of the water. We stayed for 2 nights. I would recommend that anybody that is into camping give this location a try. I am knocking my review score down a few stars for the following reasons. 1. The bitting insects were very bad. We arrived on a Friday evening and got chewed up while trying to get set up. There is a bit of a warning about this on the state park website, but it was way worse than I imagined. My legs and arms are covered in bites. Insect spray and candles did nothing to stop the bugs. 2. The bath house is kept fairly clean, but they are in major need of a remodel. The grout in the showers is very worn and moldly. Everything looks old and rundown in the bathroom. 3. My biggest issue is the very poor Ranger woman who was on duty when the second half of our party arrived. I made my camping reservation for 6 guests and 2 cars. When the rest of our family arrived, this woman charged them $8 to enter the park. Now $8 is not alot of money, but the point is they were camping guests that were already included on my reservation. When I went back later, this woman flat out lied to me ans told me there was a charge for camping guests. This is not true according to the information I booked on Reserve America. This woman is very poor at her job, and needs to be retrained or let go. All in all we enjoyed our 2 night stay, and will most likely be back again someday. Hope I do not have to see the very poor Ranger that does not know how to do her job.

Yelp
In 1965 this concrete bridge spanning the Sebastian Inlet opened and was considered state of the art and quickly became a design that would be utilized for decades to come across the country. If you were to take a closer look at this bridge it's far from typical and its impact on the Environment and Eco-system couldn't have been imagined during its design and construction phases, but it wasn't long before it became apparent this bridge that the locals and anyone traveling A1A came to love was an obstacle for marine birds wintering in southeast Florida and was contributing to the death of many, so many in fact that something had to be done. Starting in 1989 a three year roadkill survey was conducted to document bridge deaths, this study showed this bridge contributed to the deaths of royal terns, brown pelicans, sandwich terns, black skimmer and countless other species that might have been considered expendable, some might say this is a small price to pay for the positive impact this bridge has made on the economy and those traveling this north south route. Most of the dead birds were about six-months old - too young to judge safe flying heights and instinctively this fly-way was unobstructed since the beginning of time so it was in their DNA you might say. Apparently the numbers were great enough to justify implementing preventive measures to further reduce the number of deaths of these migratory birds, the FDOT and the FDEP partnered to design a solution which included attaching 122 vertical metal poles, each measuring a little over 9 feet long, to both sides of the bridge. The silver-colored poles were placed close together to discourage the birds from flying between them. Although a few of the poles were lost to tropical storms, hurricanes, and metal stress, the remaining poles successfully direct marine birds over and away from traffic. To show a return on their investment the deaths were estimate to have been reduced by 64 percent, so for those of you that may have noticed these poles now you know, the most common answer given when asked of their purpose is "lightening rods". For those that have never noticed, well it really doesn't matter this is the least of what you're missing out on.

Yelp
While the Sebastian Inlet covers a plethora of activities and options (camping, surfing, fishing, birding, bicycling, boating, hiking, and so on) my review is solely for the "Inlet Cove" as they call it. I grew up going swimming here regularly and it is an awesome place for smaller kids to swim and play. It is big with a lot of shallow water so people of all ages and swimming abilities can get into the water. There are often opportunities to see fun sea life here such as manatees, small crabs, and little fish. And there are no waves since the jetty keeps the water calm. You can bring in your own food, drinks, umbrellas and so on and make a whole day out of your trip here and that's what I'd advise. Since it is a park there is an entrance fee. I believe it's $8 per car for up to 8 people in that car. On my recent road trip with Sir Nicholas we stopped here for a day (to dip Ephraim into the ocean for his first time) and one thing I love is that the Inlet in general changes very little over the years. Although they do use the fees for area improvements and to keep everything as safe as possible. One word of warning for you - be careful of getting to close to the jetty when swimming. The ocean current there can be very strong and I'd hate for any of y'all to be swept out to sea.

Nick D.

Yelp
Filthy! There was trash everywhere on the beach. Used diapers, cans, plastic. Very disappointed. Was also very crowded. The people next to us were smoking and had loud music. We stayed less than an hour. On a good note the small Cafe there was good. We got some chicken wings and fries. The staff was friendly. Also the restrooms were clean. I will not return, definitely not worth the $8 admission.

Yelp
I've been to many beaches and this is one of my favorites. It's GORGEOUS! Imagine a long drive (if you're from out of the area coming from say Orlando), and you're passing beautiful mansions, row upon row upon row of mansions. You start to see parking areas and people unloading surfboards and all their swimming paraphernalia, while you keep driving, and driving wondering, "Did we miss it yet? Is this it". No, in fact, you didn't. This baby is WAAAAAAAY down the street. It's a drive but so very worth it. Like many of our beautifully kept beach facilities this one has a fee which you shouldn't mind paying because it goes back to the beach, the life guards, trash pickup, restroom cleaning, so on so on. There is a fishing pier if that's what you want to do or you can save that for a nice walk at the end of your visit. Many folks were piled on the rocks fishing which is a big no no at Jetty Park, our closet beach in Orlando. No one seemed to mind here. What I love about this beach is that there are two areas to swim; the beach side where surfers can do their thing and a calm tide pool area that's nice to just sit and relax in or enjoy especially if you have little kids with you. My nieces (6 and 3) really loved being able to walk around on their own and looking for little crabs, fish, and other creatures in the tide pool area. It's a great spot to teach confidence in swimming as well. We ended up going back and forth on both sides which was pretty fun. You'll also find a rocky area close to the fishing pier to explore for more creatures. Bring shoes! It kills your feet. On the way to the restrooms we also encountered a turtle, we stayed far away and I used my zoom to get a picture of it, but its just one of the many animals we saw on our second visit there. We also seen manatees and dolphins. This is definitely a worthwhile visit! There is webcam on the pier so if you're ever curious about the weather just before you drive out there, Google, 'Sabastian Inlet Webcam'.

Yelp
Snorkeling: This review, and the 3 stars, is all about the snorkeling. It is hard to find good snorkeling in Florida except in the keys - but this was enjoyable. There is a tidepool that is very easy snorkeling and some fishes. The visibility can be poor. On the plus side there were 3 manatees when we were there. On the ocean side there is a swimming area on the north side of the jetty. If you snorkel along the jetty the visibility is better and the amount and variety of fish are better. But no manatees. If you are in the area and enjoy snorkeling I recommend it. But it does not compare to the Caribbean.

Yelp
This place used to be my go-to fishing spot. For some reason (probably overfishing/over harvesting) a lot of the fish species we target are not as prevalent anymore.

Yelp
Great state park as always I love state parks it was a great place to visit only problem was our stay was too short

Yelp
It WOULD BE really nice beach cove, except there is SO much TRASH!!! This is really sad. You pay $8 for what? My son to come out of the water with trash in his hair? To get cut on plastic? Put trash cans out here, and use some of our money to get people to clean it up! TERRIBLE!! You all should be ashamed.

Adele W.

Yelp
I would love to give this park a 5 star rating because it is really beautiful. However nothing can ruin a camping trip worse than bugs. Although there was a nice breeze the No seeums would not let up, they were literally at our site all day and all night. I am back home now (a day early due to the bugs) and want to warn people. No bug repellent of any kind works, wearing long sleeve clothing does help but because we are in Florida not everyone in our party even brought long sleeves. Another one of our friends actually packed up their camper after the first night and left. Also after reading another review I also was charged $8 to enter and did not know I shouldn't have because we came and stayed with family in their campsite. Possibly in the freezing winter the bugs would be better? But that is rare in Florida too.

Yelp
One of my favorite places to go in the summer. I love how close everything is and how clean the beach is. It was very nice to go to a beach that wasn't overly crowded and dirty

Yelp
Nice and quiet place to stay. Good for fishing. Clean. Cute little playground. Friendly workers there. Wish there was more to do around that area.

Yelp
Stunning!! Where do I begin? We only made it to the lagoon entrance side, but with the receipt ($8 for vehicle) we could have entered the other park entrances as well. We arrived during high tide. This is important to note because of two things. First of all, it meant the ocean side had incredibly huge waves and this coming from someone who's been I the ocean my whole life. We went as far as to put out feet in but the the dramatic swells caused us concern. When low tide came in, tons of people made their way out in the water safely and had a great time. Since we didn't stay ocean side, we walked across the parking lot to the lagoon side. Because it was high tide, this meant the lagoon was full of water, which was great. Since you could see the bottom, you could see that fish were swimming everywhere. So cool!! When the tide changed, half of the water from the lagoon went out to the ocean. Besides the ocean and lagoon, there are a few piers and a jetty where you can catch fish. We sat on the rocks and watched tropical fish swim around. There's a little grill on premises that offered great lunch choices at affordable prices. My only complaint was the smelly trash cans and port o potty at the lagoon entrance. (There's a clean restroom in the grill) You should definitely take a day and visit this fantastic park.

Yelp
We went here at the recommendation of a waitress. She suggested going at high tide but it just didn't work with our schedule so we stopped by to take a look. A great place to see wildlife, birds, fish and manatee! We waded in the water, climbed on rocks and ventured out to the pier to see the fisherman. It wasn't busy and both my daughter and I enjoyed our time here. It's a state park so you have to pay an entry fee but it was nominal.

Yelp
PHENOMENAL! My grandparents have lived in Sebastian since 1992 but I've never been here! When I go up to visit, we mostly stay in the house but Jeremy C and I had cabin fever so I used Yelp to see what, if anything we could do. The park has a few "sides" to it. We pulled into the fishing/pier side that also had beach access. The woman at the front was incredibly friendly and informative. There is an $8 per car fee. We walked on the pier and the sights were beautiful. We saw a sea turtle! The beach was rough because it was windy that day so we got back in our car and drove to the "Cove" side. A small beach shaped in a semi circle that butted up to the inlet that opened up to the ocean. We walked to the end of the circle and saw a manatee. It was so close and posed for pictures while a half dozen people watched in awe. It eventually swam off and Jeremy and I went for a dip in the cove. The water was cold but tolerable. A line buoys separate the cover from the ocean. We swam to it and realized it was just a rope with the buoys- nothing separated the cove from the ocean. I got a little worried because the current was swift and we really couldn't see what was in the water that far out so we quickly moved away from it especially with the warning flags that were up indicating "dangerous marine life". We laughed about it though. There were a few fishermen on the cove side and pelicans were abundant. It was quite a sight that made for excellent pictures. There was also free beach access points before the paid entries into the park. Again the water was too rough but surfers would love it. They had public bathrooms and showers. If the beach is too rough, I definitely recommend you pay the 8 bucks and enjoy the cove.

Yelp
Had a camping/fishing trip planned out get to the park upon arriving at the site I had to remove a bunch of cinder blocks sticks and debris so it was clear that somebody did not clean or maintenance this site before we got there also when I put the water hose up to the RV and turn the water on the water pressure was very very low with the water regulator on I call the office they had a Ranger come out and the Ranger tried to tell me that I did not have a water regulator even though it says clear as day on the package water regulator... seems they don't really know what they're talking about and will just give you bad advice they also didn't have any other back up site available so had to make it work if they had better employees that kept sits clean and had good water pressure I would put five star but because of the cinder blocks ,cleaning the site and the water pressure issue plus the Ranger telling me I did not have proper equipment when I did I simply have to give it a two star and wish they had been more helpful

Yelp
Everything you want all rolled into one! This place is worth the 2hr drive! They have fishing, a marina, camping, fishing museum, surfing, hiking trail, snorkeling, and an area for the kinds to enjoy the beach with no waves. Its a beautiful view all the way. I felt like I was not in florida. The beach was super clean. If you have kids they have an area where there are no waves and the water is warm. You can take food and they have picnic tables right by the beach. If you have a boat or like to fish, this is a fantastic place to go. They also rent the fishing equipment if you do not have it. The beach area was not full at all. We were not bothered with too many people. The waves were rather large but good for the surfers. We took our own food so we did not get to try to concession stand. They have a playground in the camping area but we could not find it. I think we had to park and walk there. We asked about the camping prices. $35/night and its right next to the ocean. You can not swim in that area but the view is amazing! Everyone should go here at least once! We will be back!

Yelp
Very nice! Easy parking and very clean beach. I didn't walk to restrooms but I would imagine they were in good shape. Lots of nice picnic spots. Even ones in the shade. Tables too! A lot of families with young kids. Fishermen too! And lots of pretty birds. It was neat watching boats go under Wabasso Bridge. Be cautious of tiny jelly fish. They don't really sting in the larvae stage I think it's called but you can end up with swimmers itch that honestly is worse than black fly bites. I ended up covered in them! I am hyper sensitive so others should be OK! Just change and wash bathing suit if they are prevalent when you visit...ask at the gate. And rinse off with warm water.

Yelp
This is about as good as it gets when it comes to surfing in Florida and it can get quite crowded. Kara is right they do have an awesome snack bar, but they also have a marina and a concert series also.
