Pretty good Italian restaurant! We had spinach artichoke dip to start, and the flavor was great, but it was quite runny. The bread that came with the dip was amazing too! The gnocchi and other pasta dish were good. Wish it was a touch fancier, but overall a fine dinner experience.

What a great treat for my husband and me as we traveled along I90 through Ohio. We both had house salads - wonderfully fresh. My husband had the traditional Italian sausage over linguini in a red sauce with olives. Yummy and perfect if you want something a little more substantial. I had Sarah’s pasta, which was grilled chicken and thinly sliced asparagus over long pasta with garlic and hot peppers in olive oil. So tasty. The pasta was fresh and the grilled chicken was tender and moist. I loved it. Great atmosphere and such wonderful service. Highly recommended!!

By far one of the best Italian restaurants we have in Toledo! Food is always delicious, and menu is constantly changing with seasonal ingredients. Weekly specials are great, and if your lost in your decision on what to get they are always a good choice. Highly recommend trying there mussels, the sauce they use is so fresh and tasty. You literally have a large bowl of delicious soup once you've finished the mussels! We tried a new appetizer, some sort of mushroom dip and it was amazing! Both meals were delicious, the lasagna, which does have boiled eggs on top, a little different was great. The three meat pasta was also scrumptious. Highly recommend trying this place! Reservation only, small dining experience is awesome and very unique and personal.

It was my wife’s birthday and I was recommended this place by a friend. The food took 55 minutes from the time we ordered. We had to ask for bread after waiting 30 minutes as well as my soup. The waitress came by 15 minutes later and said she forgot to place the order. The food finally arrived and my 12 hour meal sauce had no flavor and the meat balls had way too much pepper. My wife said her ravioli was too doughy. I complained about the wait and the food but the waitress just said sorry about that. I will not recommend this place to anyone.

Wonderful little Italian restaurant in a strip mall in Maumee. We were fortunate to catch live piano playing during our Tuesday evening dinner. Surprisingly good wine list for such an out of the way location. Good food, good service and good atmosphere.

Incredible Italian food with a Sicilian spin. The lasagna, surprisingly enough, has whole eggs (not eggs mixed into ricotta) actually in the layers! Sounds simple but that amazed me. The richness in the tomatoes in the bruschetta sharply and deliciously contrasts the way they’re roasted. In the shrimp fontina, the sauce was rich with flavors of the sea and the pasta was cooked to perfection. I don’t hype up many places, but if you come through Toledo, you must check out Sebastiano’s. Cozy atmosphere with light music on Friday nights, an evening you can’t miss.

A great place, they fit us in when I thought I had a reservation. They had great service amazing food and amazing prices. Definitely check this place out.

Oh my goodness... what a hidden gem. Homemade food - delicious from every bite. Service is great from when you step in to when you step out of the building. Beautiful little place. So glad we came here tonight. Totally worth the wait if there is one!

What a find!!! I found this place on Yelp and looked at the menu. The second that I saw homemade gnocchi on the menu, I knew I had to try it and it did NOT disappoint. I did the build your own pasta with gnocchi, creamy pesto, Italian sausage, roasted red peppers and asparagus. It was so good I think I danced in my seat the whole meal. ((Also, free bread - can't go wrong there!)) The waitress was very attentive and nice, even though she had multiple tables all at once. It's a quiet little restaurant in an unassuming strip mall, but don't drive by this one !

What an amazing family-owned business serving tried and true Italian recipes. It can sometimes be difficult to get in the door for dinner as they're oftentimes very busy, but you know it's good (and everybody else knows it's good also).

The food is amazing, the service is your treated like family, it's like being at home, very comfortable. You will love the ambiance of this restaurant, it's cozy and you will want to plan your next visit, the music playing while you enjoy your meal is wonderful.

This place is a hidden gem. Nestled inside a strip mall sits delightful Italian restaurant. I highly recommend the chicken piccata. It's perfect: the salt, acid, fat ratio is spot on. The bread was soft & warm. The wine is still being sold at reasonable prices($6 Sauvignon Blanc) . I enjoyed my Caesar salad, and noted that they use almond shavings instead of croutons, which is a really nice touch that I haven't had before. This is a great place to enjoy some solid Italian restaurants menu staples. The service was excellent.

I love this place. It's in a very unassuming location in a strip mall off near the BMV on Heatherdowns in Toledo. Once you walk in you'll know it's a good it's got a great local vibe cozy like a classic Italian restaurant. The wine, cocktails and food are special. It's always delicious and the service feels like a very cool family restaurant which it is. Great for parties, dates, etc.

My absolute favorite Italian restaurant!! The food is always so creamy and full of flavor! I'm also a big bread person and they have some of the BEST!! My go to meal is the chicken Marsala, but I've truly never had anything that I've disliked. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. We only go with a reservation as we know they are often fully booked. We also love ordering the family meals when they are available! Don't miss an opportunity to try this restaurant if you are in the Toledo area - they are the greatest! :)

Friends weekend. There were four of us for dinner. OMG... it was absolutely fabulous. The service was phenomenal. Everyone exclaimed that their meal was the best. The food is freshly made. Mine was the chicken and peas with hazelnut cream sauce. I'm not a fan of peas... but in this instance...FABULOUS. Fresh, fresh, and fresh. I'm sitting here at the table listening to an acoustic guitar and singer. It's a great setting for a peaceful meal and calming music.

When I travel, I try to stay away from chains and support local family businesses. This one was fantastic! I was a bit skeptical when I pulled up but there was definitely no need. The service was great- attentive yet giving me my space. The food was excellent and I would highly recommend.

We had a very nice meal here last night. We sampled specialty martinis, several pasta dishes and bruschetta. It was all delicious. The service was super; attentive and competent and friendly! The restaurant is smaller, cozy and charming. Thank you for a nice evening.

By far one of the best Italian restaurants I've ever been too. I've been wanting to visit for half a year and it's COVID lessening, decided to do so. I splurged and got a $7 glass of wine (not bad!) and an app, entree, and desert. App: the bruschetta is amazing! Bread is served warm and so is the tomatoes - so so soooo good. I loved the flavor of it and not having to worry about soggy bread if I didn't eat it fast enough. The meat sauce pasta - wow! One of the best pasta dishes I've ever had! You know how some Italian places skimp on the sauce, like barely a drizzle and you have to pay for "extra sauce" to actually enjoy flavor? Even if you scoop a ton of the meat sauce with your noodles, you will still have some left over. I added the veal& beef meatballs for $6 and it was WELL worth it. Desert was the cannoli cake. Now, by this point I was actually pretty full, but I i just chilled at the table and slowly worked on it - every bite was excellent, and not very heavy either after such a heavy meal. Great atmosphere. Piano in the corner but no one was playing when I was there. Nice dim lighting but still bright enough to take good food photos (lol). Great service. I can't wait to return!!!!!!

Very good food, excellent service, very clean establishment. Bonus points because it's one of the few, if any, places in Toledo that serves gnocchi. Even the appetizer, bruschetta, was excellent. Decent beer selection, to boot. And they very much seek customer feedback: First, they leave a physical, hardcopy comment card with the bill. Haven't seen that in ages. Second, by the time we got home, I had an email seeking further feedback. These people really want to get things right, and it shows. We will definitely be back.

Last minute decision to dine at this restaurant and it was not a mistake! We had to wait for a little bit since they are a smaller family owned business and can only handle so much volume, but they were nice in working to fit us in with their already full reservation list. It is worth the wait though with the food being fantastic and some of the best Italian in the area. The warm bruschetta and ciabatta bread was the best I have ever had. You cannot go wrong with their classic 12 hour meat sauce and make sure to try the sweet potato cheesecake.

We had a reservation here and showed up 15 minutes late. They had given away our table and couldn't seat us. I understand giving away our table, as we were late, but they could have given us a courtesy of a call.

Ate at Sebastiano's a few times while in Toledo for an extended work trip. It was so good we just kept coming back! Servers were very friendly, and the food was excellent. Loved the appetizer mussels, and the salads with added anchovies were perfect. I'd recommend this restaurant to anybody visiting Toledo.

This place is a hidden gem in what looks like a rundown shopping strip. The food and service were both stellar! It can be on the pricier side but is definitely worth it since everything is made fresh and to order. An added bonus is that this place is locally run and is not part of a national chain.

This place is pretty underwhelming. I ordered the Italian wedding soup and it was brought out in the most shallow bowl in existence. I swear there were three bites of soup. I believe it was 8 or 9 dollars. The spaghetti was good but nothing to write home about. Won't be returning.

The Best & I mean the best authentic Italian food. I am a black, Mexican, Italian that's been around the world & hands down I've never had Italian taste so well. Service & ambiance is great. For yrs I've trying to eat at this place & I always forget about it until 2 weeks ago. I can't stop going there. I'm so glad they're not open for lunch cause I swear I'd be there everyday. Thank you owners for amazing food.

Good food, HORRIBLE service. Like the worst I have ever gotten at a restaurant ever. Came in last night at 6:10pm, early for our reservation. I was so excited to take my partner here because I have enjoyed Sebastiano's on many occasions and thought it was a great restaurant. We were not dressed to the nines, both wearing jeans and a sweat shirt, and I'm not sure if that is why we were treated so poorly or if it is because we are a young couple, but it definitely makes sense. We did not get greeted by our server for at least 20 minutes, and by the time she got to us, we were ready to order. I ordered a cocktail with my meal, and my partner ordered a soda. 30 minutes later after taking care of everyone in the dining room except us, our server (who never even introduced herself or said welcome to the restaurant or anything) walks past us, sees me looking at her, and goes "oh, your drink will be put shortly!" I look at the clock. It's 6:40. I definitely dont want a drink I ordered 30 minutes ago. Then she brings out my partner's soda that we completely forgot that we had ordered because it had been so long. The place is nice, the food was good, and I wish I could have been treated better. I would have tipped well over 20% if our server had deserved it. We probably won't be back considering our server was taking very good care of everyone else in the dining room except us- including a family that had children running around. Nice.

"We really should eat here more often." That's what my family says after every visit to Sebastiano's Italiano. Sebastiano's ISN'T Babbo, but then again, no Italian restaurant in Toledo is. Sebastiano's IS a very nice, family oriented, family owned and operated restaurant that features very good Italian cuisine. The atmosphere is friendly and comfortable, but this isn't where I'd come for a romantic date (it's bright in here...your pupils may be contracted...your date will think you hate her/him). I also wouldn't come here for a quick bite (it's a wee bit pricy), but I'd definitely come here, as a couple, with the kids in tow. It's hard to beat the pasta. I've tried several of the BYOP (build your own pasta) options, as well as the lasagna, and the ravioli. I've never been disappointed. BEER: There's no draft beer, but, I did appreciate the freshly canned options from a South Toledo hot spot, Earnest Brew Works. Sorry, there's no 'Gennesse' on tap...hence the one star review from one of Toledo's finest yelpers. There is a full bar, and I've heard good things about their cocktails (from my wife). Wine? There's plenty...I really should take some time to learn wine. Sebastiano's has everything that I look for in a family restaurant...easy 4 stars. The extra star is to compensate for the dipshit who went low without even trying the food. Again, "We really should eat here more often."

Was in town for a baseball tournament, always try to find local places to eat. Found this one and figured I would give it a try since I was the only one eating. Apparently they only take reservations? Don't see this anywhere on their website, Apple Maps, or yelp? Sign on door says Last seating is at 9:00 on Saturdays. It's 7:35. Dining room was 1/2 full, bar was empty. Was told they already seated their last reservation? So could be good? But I will never know.

Delicious food consistentlyand fabulous service! We love the owners who are local and feel like family when we go there!

On a recent drive from Rochester, NY to Racine, WI we were in the Maumee, OH area at dinner time and decided to eat at Sebastiano's. This was our 3rd or 4th meal thee and it didn't disappoint. Because we were traveling, our dinner reservation needed to be a little flexible. When it became obvious we would be 45 minutes early they adjusted our reservation with not hassle. The food was as delicious as always - and plentiful. The service was prompt, friendly, and attentive without being intrusive. This place is not fancy, and it is not a dive. It is just a comfortable eatery with good food and service - we will definitely be back again.

Wonderful experience tonight....great service by Jess, excellent food, lovely piano music (just the right volume). Plus, food and wine prices extremely reasonable. Started with the bread in oil, so much better than other local restaurants. The house salad, with creamy basil dressing, was literally the best house salad I've ever had (and I eat out a lot, not just in town, but I travel extensively and enjoy dining out). I love pasta, and the ravioli with mushroom whiskey cream sauce was out of this world delicious. Wow! Not my 1st time here, but it's been awhile, and I plan to return more frequently. Went to another local Italian place a few weeks ago, just no comparison. Kudos to Sebastiano's!

We randomly found this restaurant on a recent visit to the area and were very pleasantly impressed! Great atmosphere and very friendly staff. It seemed like the place was full of "regulars"! The Shrimp Florentine and Lasagna were great! If I lived in the area... I could see this being a frequent stop!

After a 600 mile drive we asked the hotel clerk for a good Italian restaurant and were directed here. We are 3 New Yorkers who are very particular and we each had only praise for our meals. We must leave the Maumee/Toledo area but for you lucky enough to be local don't miss this place. Sebastiano's is clean, cozy, and with a friendly atmosphere.

Such a nice restaurant and delicious Italian food. There is a live piano player in the dining room which just elevates the experience. Highly recommend.

Don't let the quiet strip mall vibe fool you, this place is a gem from start to finish. Some of the friendliest staff I've interacted with in ages. The food was amazing with every course and bite. I had the lasagna and enjoyed it a lot. The fresh bread may have been my favorite part. Looking forward to going back again.

Everything is amazing! Traveling cross country and found this place on yelp! Definitely worth it!

We visited on a Tuesday night following their reopening (from the fire) for my husband's birthday. The 12 hour pasta and meatballs and Chicken Marsala was truly delicious. My daughter ordered the Chicken Piccata (which was delicious) that was served over a pasta. My only comment or suggestion would be to allow for a few substitutions. For example.. my daughter didn't want the pasta and asked for a vegetable. We wanted a flat noodle for my 2 year old granddaughter's Alfredo and was told it only came with the short curly noodle. A little flexibility goes a long way from the customer's perspective.

Good and service were awesome- ambiance good but relaxed.... a lovely family run local Italian restaurant- be warned . If a Broadway show is in town - get reservations well in advance or the locals will be enjoying a fine tasty meal and you will have to go elsewhere.

So good! We were coming to town for the Glass City Marathon & I researched Italian places near the hotel where we would be staying and found this place. I made a reservation over the phone with the owner Jon (also a runner) who was super nice. We ended up at a different hotel, but I kept the reservation and was very happy I did. It's is a strip mall, so from the outside it's a little deceiving. Inside was decorated nicely & there was someone playing great music on the piano. As far as the food, I had the ciabatta bread/oil appetizer, house salad, and BYO pasta and my friend had the chicken piccata, everything was delish! The food seemed to take a while, but I had wine & bread so I was good. The service was excellent, they have someone refilling water regularly, everyone was very attentive. I'd definitely go back if I'm in the area! Sorry, forgot to take pics of the food.

You feel the vibe when you walk in and they all smile and say hello to you; get to be a "uh hum" regular and you'll get to know their amazing staff and owners ! Their food is freshly prepared from scratch and is impeccable, no matter what you order from their delicious menu. Order a bottle of wine or have a specialty cocktail, you can't go wrong with Sebastiano's - where small neighborhood eatery meets big city ambiance !!! Their experience brings magic to your palate, every time !

This is our favorite Italian restaurant in Toledo. The food is amazing, the owners and their family make it a homey and welcoming place to eat. And, they have a great selection of food and wine!!

My boyfriend and I have never been before last night but we were on the hunt for a good, authentic, family-owned Italian restaurant, and after seeing the good reviews on Yelp we decided to give it a shot! I'm so glad we did! As soon as you walk in it is so inviting and warm - you instantly know you're going to have a good meal. The atmosphere was perfect, very cozy and perfect for a romantic birthday dinner! The live music was nice as well. The bread and oil was a great appetizer. For entrees, I got the special pasta for the night - butternut squash ravioli with pancetta & my partner got the shrimp florentine. Both were cooked absolutely PERFECT! We stayed for dinner as well and the tiramisu & cannoli cake were also very yummy. Overall, for an appetizer, two entrees & two deserts - the price was very reasonable for the quality of food served. We will certainly be back many more times for the food, quality of service, homey atmosphere, and just how sweet the staff are!!

Moved to Toledo recently, and have been restaurant hunting for the best places to go. Went to Sebastiano's Italiano Restaurant Friday evening. Loved the atmosphere of friendly staff and a fun group of diners, along with an amazing entertainer on the guitar. Dinner was very well prepared a real culinary treat. I had the Mushroom Ravioli and my daughter had Chicken Marsala. You should try Sebastiano's. It is quite a treat!

We are new to Toledo and were so pleased to find a homey, non-chain Italian place. Great wine list (love the choice of a regular or large pour), comfortable service, piano music on the weekend and, best of all, WONDERFUL ITALIAN FOOD. Always great-sounding specials: I could spend a year working my way through this menu. And will!

My Wife and I both had a dentist appointment. We both didn't eat all day. I had green tea and bubble gum so my stomach is on empty. I have been wanting to come here for at least 7 years but every time I thought to come here they were closed. They open at 5pm. It is near the DMV which is the reason I could never go...I always go to the DMV early Lol. Spicy scallops came out smoking. The bowl was surrounded by thinly sliced hot crunchy bread drizzled with olive oil and a few shakes of pepper. I liked it (of course I like spicy foods). My Wife thought the pepper was overpowering. For our meals, Jackie chose "create your pasta"...she picked linguine, mushrooms, spinach with Parmesan garlic sauce. Creamy and smooth. I selected Italian Sausage with multi-colored bell peppers, linguine & black olives in the house Marinara sauce. Both pastas were perfectly al dente. The environment was romantically dark with each table lit. A nice place for couples to have a good conversation. I would recommend it even though we were the only humans in the dinning area. There were people eating at the bar. Maybe, a quiet meal is just what we needed. I'll give it 4 stars only because I like a little bit more "stranger human" interaction. Next time, we'll try pizza.
