Just picked up a new bike from Sebastopol Bike Center. It was one of their rental fleet that was never used due to Covid, so got a pretty good dea - $2,000 for a $2,500 bike!
They've got a handful of newish and used bikes left. They seem to specialize in rentals, but with Covid, they've got a lot of extra bikes they are selling. They've got 2020 Scott Addict 10 full carbon bikes with Ultegra groupset and hydraulic disc brakes for $2,000. They've also got a sweet 2016 Cervelo with Ultegra Di2 electronic shifting for $2,400 in a 48cm, which is pretty nice. Plus lots of gear at discounted rates, jerseys, etc. Because I bought a bike, they even threw in an extra pair of shoes they had lying around. Great experience!
I live in San Francisco, so it was a bit of a drive up to Sebastopol, but well worth it. The Bike Center is right on the Joe Rodota Trail, which is a long flat biking trail, perfect for testing out a bike (though no hills to test). And after buying the bike, we went across the street to The Barlow, an outdoor "mall" with several cool restaurants with outdoor dining. I'll leave a review for them, too - really great place to hang out. Point is - if you're a bit far from Sebastopol, it's worth a day trip!
