"When tequila shots and a techno version of “Don’t Stop Believing“ aren’t in the cards for the night, Second Story Liquor Bar is an excellent choice for a tamer night in Old Town Scottsdale. This is a place you come to sit in a comfy leather chair and go through their long list of whiskey and scotch-focused cocktails. Although drinks might be your priority here, they also have a small-but-solid menu of snacks like falafel with whipped feta and pork belly lettuce wraps." - Joanna Boyle

Had a good time here in old town! It was a prime spot for happy hour and the ambiance was relaxed and the the aesthetic was a dark moody yet classy vibe. They had a decent happy hour and Wednesday $1 oyster special which was appealing. Overall, I enjoyed the company and service here. The food was good but some dishes lacked some flavor. I’d recommend their Crispy Sushi Rice, Korean Pork Belly on Lobster Roll, and French 75.

We went for the tomahawk special as a birthday celebration and it was such an amazing experience! We had reservations and they seated us 10mun early. The vibes were immaculate with low moody lighting and beautiful chandeliers. They brought us Caesar salads right away that were fresh and tasty. About 20 minutes later (even though they were PACKED) came the steak, potatoes, and the best brussel sprouts I've ever had. The steak was cooked beautifully, was incredibly tender and flavorful. The waitress wished me a happy birthday and comp'd a dessert for us--we ordered the cheesecake and the caramel Custard and both were so delicious and she even comp'd the higher price dessert which was sweet. Service was amazing and attentive and I cannot wait to go back!

Well that was disappointing! We ordered 2 of the tomahawk specials, one came out looking well seared with the right amount of char. One came out with no signs of being cooked properly. It was returned and came back looking the same as it did. The manager then brought us a new one that didn’t look much different. 1/2 of the steak was fat and neither a tender or quality steak. He did mention that he had 18 tomahawks on the grill. Apparently trying to do too much and sacrificing the quality. The Caesar salad was horrible and sides were very small but good. “Broccoli & Potatoes” Biscuits were just OK and same on the Oysters! This was my daughter’s B-day and suggested this place as she seen it advertised on Instagram. We left very disappointed and will not be returning. Giving it a 1 star based on food alone! Service was great but we did sit outside as indoor was not available. Would not suggest for 5+ people. Not sure how this place is getting good reviews? For $500+ dollars you would expect a much higher quality food!

Very nice happy hour and the food is absolutely delicious with many different flavors and offerings even for happy hour! The drinks are tasty and made with care each time. The flavors were consistent and very good! Service was exceptional even the chef came out to meet and greet people and Madison was delightful taking care of us all night long!

Google
Roasted spring carrots, jerk chicken, Korean pork belly, meatballs, tiramisu! All excellent and recommended. Great service from Rachael. Thank you chef Jordano. This location has a bar and food to satisfy the body and soul. The carrots came out especially good, as well as the chicken. The meatballs were not my favorite but not bad. The charred pineapple with rum jus added a unique twist to the fried rice. Certainly noteworthy.

This is such a fun spot! Whether for a personal hang out or business meeting, the Second Story is a favorite of mine in Old Town Scottsdale. I surprised myself by realizing I hadn’t given some details here yet. My go to is their Old Fashioned and sometimes I mix up the bourbon with either Jefferson’s Small Batch or a Whistle Pig. For food, I’ve tried a fair amount but most recently I had the Caesar Salad, Korean Pork Belly, Crispy Sushi Rice, and the Tomahawk Ribeye! The Pork Belly and Tomahawk were great and highly recommend! The Pork Belly comes as a little sandwich which was delicious. The Tomahawk was about 32oz and I’m not entirely sure what the sauce was but I loved it! The Caesar was good but nothing special here. While I can’t place exactly why, the Crispy Sushi Rice didn’t do much for me. It was good, nothing bad, but just nothing stood out as amazing. Overall, hard to go wrong here. Hope you enjoy as much as we did!

Google
This place is amazing. They have the perfect ice balls for your scotch, or whiskey! We had the spicy tuna on the sticky rice which i have never had something like that and it was so good. The tomato on the bread was absolutely amazing, the bread was so good everything went perfect together. They have a nice patio with misters and pretty lights. I would definitely go back again. Lori was our waitress and she was really nice.

Came in for the tomahawk Tuesday deal. For starters, great food. Everything was seasoned well and it was a great portion for two people. The drinks were wonderful and unique. The place itself was equally amazing. Great mood and the tables weren't too close.

Yelp
Do yourself a favor and order the "should we be bad" cocktail and the meatballs! Does lemon pair well with red sauce? Jury's out. Either way, both were absolutely divine. We also ordered biscuits and burrata for the table and both were big hits. Such a fun spot for a date night or a girls night out!

Yelp
Warning: Drink review only! It was love at first taste for me with the interesting trouble! It was the perfect blend of intrigue, conflict, and passion!! Couldn't have asked for a more exciting drink! From the first sip to the last!! Service was great! We got seated right away. Our waitress was on point! Didn't miss a beat! Our waters were never empty, and she knew exactly when we've had enough and brought our check without us having to ask! I'm pretty sure my clothes and the rest of me smelled like seafood when I left, as seafood may have been the top dish this night, but u know what?? When i'm smitten head over heels with my drink, roll me all up in that fish sauce baby!!!

Yelp
Great vibey spot to have a date night! We came here for our second anniversary and absolutely loved the food. I had been here once years ago and was excited to try it again. Second Story knows how to make GOOD bread, whether it's the biscuits, the garlic bread that comes alongside the pasta, or the cheesecake as a whole. Absolutely fantastic food! The seating was a bit tight, we struggled to get in and out of the "community style" seating, but that was our only qualm. Service was great and we will be back.

Yelp
This place is such a romantic little hidden gem. The walk in was super cool with a dimly lit brick hallway leading upstairs. Inside it's not super big so I recommend making a reservation in advance. It's the dim lighting and mid century modern vibes for me. I lucked out during my weekend visit with it being restaurant week and was able to sample quite a few things. To start was the biscuits - were they good? yes, were they life changing? Personally to me, no. I'd still get them again but I guess I was expecting more with a name like that. Next was the melon & burrata salad. I loved it, crispy & refreshing. For my main I had the miso sea bass. It was cold when I got it since we had waited a significant time between dishes and it was too fishy for me. I wouldn't order it again. My husband's main of the ragu was fantastic though, should have done that instead. Overall the meal was enjoyable. A great spot for a date night.

Yelp
Second story is so amazing that I was tempted to keep the review to myself so others don't find it. It is an amazing atmosphere with incredible food. They have the best biscuits I have ever had- and they change the butter and honey seasonally (tonight we have a blueberry bourbon jam and hibiscus honey). The service was attentive and our waitress have great recommendations for us. Highly, highly recommend Second Story for intimate celebrations and date nights!

Yelp
First off, the management at this restaurant should be ashamed of how they are running their business. Tonight they had a total of 2 servers, 1 hostess, 1 bartender and NO management. We sat at our table and it took 23 minutes to just get a glass of water and our server to come by. Once they dropped our waters we ordered alcoholic drinks and food. Both the food and drinks came out at the same time. When we ordered a second round of drinks it took an additional 17 minutes to come out. Featured in the second picture is bartender sitting on his phone for the entirety of the wait time. Again, this is something that should have not been an issue had any type of supervision be present. Mind you the restaurant was roughly 3/4 full with several empty tables. Our server was very sweet but not attentive to our table or the other tables around us. I can't fault her for this since her management set her up for failure by not properly staffing the restaurant. The scenery was great and I enjoyed the theme of the restaurant. I will note, the restrooms play a narration of the history of baseball in the 1970's. Personally, when going to what's supposed to be a fine dining restaurant, not something I would want to ever listen to. The food was great quality, but not nearly enough to make up for the other blunders. With all the other options in the area, I would not recommend this establishment.

Yelp
$125 tomahawk dinner...yes please! Hubs saw their ad on Instagram and I am so glad he did. Our overall experience for the night was very pleasant. Our server, Victoria, was very sweet and attentive. Our reservation was made within the same week but with the tomahawk dinner special, I think spots will fill up quickly! Just as a tip, they have happy hour from 4-6 PM on Monday thru Saturday. So if you want to experience the $125 Tomahawk dinner, I suggest booking your dinner reservations around happy hour on that Tuesday so you can get the best of both worlds - steak plus happy hour prices on some of their other menu items. Now the cocktails were a bit on the pricier side. They had classics like old fashion and other various cocktail creations to choose from. My husband ordered one of their Mescal drinks and although he enjoyed it, he felt like he didn't get much for the price is all. The ambiance felt upscale and romantic. The place was dimly lit and the music playing in the background was classy and not too loud. Parking directly behind the restaurant is very limited. So I suggest parking in the free parking garage that is in the corner behind the B&B restaurant if those closer spots are filled up. Overall, I highly recommend giving Second Story a try if you're in the mood for a fancy steak dinner. Definitely try their $125 tomahawk special if you have the chance! It was so much food that we took home leftovers. Happy eating!

Yelp
Five stars for this experience in Scottsdale! Not only is the food out-of-this-world delicious, but the service is so fantastic that I'm convinced they must have a team of culinary ninjas working behind the scenes. And can we talk about their accommodation for non-dairy options? As someone who's always on the lookout for dairy-free options, I was thrilled to find that Second Story was not only willing but eager to cater to my dietary needs. They whipped up dairy-free alternatives with such finesse that I almost forgot I wasn't indulging in the real deal. I got the Yakatori sea bass that was their special. It paired well with their cold soba noodles. All around, great flavors. Crispy rice was probably the best I've had around. A bit smaller with the appetizer, but you can split the 2 rice squares into half for a bite for everyone with a table of four. Their happy hour drinks seemed short poured, so I'm not sure if that's normal. The second round happy hour, the drinks were fuller. Whiskey flight was decent, but two of three were a bit harder and had some bite, so I would recommend getting the middle flight (slightly more expensive). So, if you're looking for a place where your taste buds can dance with delight, your dietary needs are treated with respect, and the service is as warm and welcoming as a hug from your favorite grandma, look no further than Second Story Restaurant. It's a culinary masterpiece with a heart of gold! P.s. our waitress was super nice and even lit a candle on a plate for me to blow out for my birthday since I couldn't have any of their dairy desserts. Love it, nice touch!

Yelp
Saw this spot on the IG promo for Tomahawk Tuesday's and was like I have to try it! It's located in the Old Town area of Scottsdale. Parking is not great so you have to pick up on a good spot. They do have about 8 parking spots in the back of the place. Nice corner location on 3rd . It is called 2nd Story...and yes it's on the 2nd story of the building! Traditional bar setting on the inside. They do offer outdoor seating also. Inside is not huge but it's nice size. Hostess was very nice and sat us down right away. We did have a reservation thou which I suggest you make sure you have because the spot filled up pretty quick. Our server Madison was great! The appetizers came out pretty quick. It was happy hour and they had some great food and drink specials. It wasn't Tuesday but we got the Tomahawk special anyway. It is well worth the price tag! I would recommend this on a date night! I had a pineapple martini and it was delicious! Atmosphere 3/5 Service 5/5 Location 5/5 Food 5/5 Parking 3/5 Drinks 5/5

Yelp
We looking for a place to grab food and a quick drink on a Wednesday and this place did not disappoint. It was packed - but we got a seat at the bar without waiting. I would recommend making a reservation before you go. The bartender was great and has some recommendations for us - we both got an old fashioned, which was excellent. I had the spaghetti - it was flavorful.

Bill G.

Yelp
Comes up very short. Basically the restaurant is nice, staff was good, food was not. Had no theme and the menu items were extraordinarily random with very inconsistent portions. I would say it was akin to a Vegas buffet with the main items missing. Has potential but needs to be better.

Kat V.

Yelp
We went in for the Wednesday $1 oyster. They had two types of oysters to choose, one is for $1 and another one is for $2. One type is larger than another one. We got both types and they were fresh and delicious. We also got crispy sushi rice and crudo. They recommended us to have crispy rice and crudo together. I ended up dipping the rice into the leftover crudo sauce. They were tasty. Kimchee fried rice was also delicious. Then we put the order of sailor style mussels. This one is the highlight of the day! The mussels are huge and juicy delicious. We only ordered from happy hours menu. I am surprised (but happy) that the portion of mussel dish is so huge. The sauce/broth was flavorful and we wish there was more bread to dip into the broth. They are not busy on Wednesday. We made an early reservation. The restaurant has a dim light, so I need to put the menu under the light so that my my old eyes could see.

Yelp
What's up everyone!! Stopped by to check out Tomahawk Tuesday which features a 40oz Tomahawk Steak, 2 Cesar Salads, and 2 Sides, was fire. I'd thought it was worth it for me, if you go between 4pm-6pm you can also catch their happy hour menu which includes half of select wine glasses. Overall, made a great dinner night. Ambiance was dope, small intimate, good music and our server was awesome!! Definitely worth checking this place out on Tuesday, definitely recommend. Cheers!

Elicia N.

Yelp
Great lil hidden gem. Great menu, creative option, delicious mocktail juices. Darkly lit so a great date spot. Very cozy!

Erin Tevis T.

Yelp
If you are coming here for the food I would definitely not recommend. The portions size was way too small for the price you are paying. The food was also really mid the only thing that was amazing was the biscuits with pin-a colada jam. The tuna crispy rice was so salty. The vibe of the place was just a restaurant full of drunk people but it is also a liquor bar so just be prepared for that. Service was pretty terrible besides for one tall blonde girl she was great. This restaurant has so much potential due to how nice it is inside and outside and the location but staffing and either price or portion size needs to change.

Ashley B.

Yelp
I come here every other month or so. Decent happy hour, but if you catch them on their dollar oyster days (while quantities exist) makes it really worth it. I typically always sit at the bar, although very limited seating so get there early if you're wanting bar seating. I've done appetizers to full on meals and out of all my experiences they only miss the mark flavor or combination wise 10-15% of the time. Which isn't bad, but their entrees can get pretty pricey. I always provide feedback at the time of service to provide to the kitchen. The whole vibe of the place is dim lit, intimate, very pretty. Walking up the stairs is incredibly dark, so hold the handrail going up and down and the bathroom has some odd recording that plays, that I've never thought to ask why. Overall, should be on your list of places to check out if you want more of an intimate vibe or softer conversations. Not somewhere you'd find everyone walking over drunk after a spring training game.

Mimi N.

Yelp
This place came highly recommended by a lot of Phoenix locals so we had to check it out one night for a fun girls night out. I loved the ambience and the cool bar located in the restaurant. We happened to come in right at the end of happy hour, and we were able to order a lot of dishes for a good deal. I especially loved the Short ribs on a lobster roll which literally melted in our mouths. If you want to try the "crispy tuna roll," you need to order both the yellowtail crudo and crispy rice dishes separately, and then combine them together which a lot of people tend to do. I think overall, the food was OK, but a tad expensive for what we got. I probably would not come back unless it was for happy hour. Still enjoyed the experience overall though!

Kandi R.

Yelp
Where do I start! We enjoyed Everything!!! Please order the WTF Biscuits...somebody grandma made these to order.......I ordered an additional order! Had salmon and my gosh it was simply the best I ever had Atmosphere/vibes: Halloween weekend Very low light, very loud, hard to hear while at your table The whiskey flight was not worth $35 This place is not cheap FYI Staff very friendly, restroom very clean

Treverly F.

Yelp
This has been on our list to check it out for a while. I follow them on Instagram and have seen the many Tomahawk Tuesday posts. Hubby and I decided to give it a try. It's been n the second floor of the building. Very quaint atmosphere. We liked the feel of it. Waitress came over right away and assisted us. Of course we ordered the Tomahawk meal. We had the smoked old fashioned, delicious. We also tried the biscuits which were pretty good also. The Caesar salad was just okay, nothing special. The meal came out and the presentation was beautiful. Came with broccoli(wish we had more not a lot for two people), mushrooms and fries. The fries were tasty also. Overall, it was a great meal, great service and great atmosphere. Check it out!

Kelly M.

Yelp
We returned after going to happy hour a few months back, only to be disappointed. It definitely does not live up to the hype. Glad we did tomahawk Tuesday rather than a normal day. The vibe is cool and the location is convenient. We had a reservation and were seated immediately, but it was downhill from there. It took 15 minutes to be greeted by our server after numerous staff walked by several times making no eye contact. Our server, Lily, finally greeted us and told us the special and took our drink order. We said we wanted the special AND the biscuits for an app. After waiting 45 minutes, we asked if our meal was coming and she apparently did not understand or recall we wanted the tomahawk. She then put in the order and it took 35 more minutes to come out. Caesar salad was way too salty this time and it couldn't be finished although we like salt. I'd say the biscuits were the best part and we rated the steak an 8/10. Overall, this place is way overrated, save yourself the time and the money and skip this spot. Service 1/10 Drinks (way overpriced) 7/10 Food 8/10 Ambiance 8.5/10

Yelp
We loved the food here! It's been awhile since our last visit, but we only had a few minor setbacks. First, if you are OK with a loud ambiance in a small place, you're fine. It was tough to hear our friend across from us. My only other request is better couch seating. Man, it was pretty low and my back was sore at the end of the night. I'll remember to grab a chair next time. Maybe I'm just getting too old. Lol! The food was great! We started with the biscuits and last night they were featured with apricot chutney and whipped butter. Very delicious and biscuit cooked to perfection! Next was entrees, I had the mussels and glad I did. The broth was perfect and the toast points with it were wonderful to eat with the leftover broth at the bottom. Yum! I would suggest a plate or small bowl to discard the shells. My spouse had the bison with asparagus, broccolini and whipped potatoes. Lovely dinner, bison felt a little smaller than expected for the price. We really enjoyed our meal. If you want an amazing cocktail, this is your place. Long list of whiskey and scotch.

Chacho T.

Yelp
Esthetically speaking Second Story is a beautiful designed restaurant. However it is relatively small and the outside balcony is also quite small. The Caesar salad was great however our cacio pepe pasta was very salty and would not recommend. The portions were also very small leaving a lot to be desired after eating. The staff on the other hand was the saving grace. They were constantly checking up on us making sure we were doing well on our meal.

Shelby L.

Yelp
Our group moseyed on over here and got in immediately. Our server was not very attentive and we ended up staying longer than we intended because of this. I ended up taking our bill to the bar area to cash out. It wasn't super busy, so not really sure what the hold up was. I ordered the Interesting Trouble, which was good... but ended up with Curious By Nature because my friend didn't like her drink. Ended up being the better choice for me. Very good drink.

Amanda L.

Yelp
My husband and I came here for date night and were greeted before we even made it to the top of the stairs up to the "Second Story." We were seated right away by hostess Shannon and the vibe is so relaxing. There are adjustable lamps on every table so the brightness is up to you. I could have brought a book and sat for hours. The music is perfect, not too loud but sets the tone. And then the food!! GET THE BISCUITS. Just trust us. Our server Rachel was so knowledgeable about the menu and did custom appetizer pairings for us. Between my husband and I we tried most of the signature cocktails and each one was delicious and different from the others. The most fun part was the delivery of the smoked whiskey. Not only delicious but also a unique experience that added to the joy of the entire night.

Courtney C.

Yelp
Came here for happy hour on a Wednesday, its a pretty small place but has a great atmosphere! Oysters were SO good and only a dollar, wish the menu was a little bigger, food rangers from light or very heavy not really a grey area. Biscuits are a must also!

Tia T.

Yelp
This place was nothing but spectacular. It's located above a pizzeria. There is a small parking lot attached behind the building. I walked up the stairs and felt I was in another world. The black quilted walls are very sexy. I was seated at the bar. Every server was so kind. I even met the owner Corey, incredibly hospitable. If you are unsure of what you are wanting to drink, Skylar is your guy. Skylar gave great suggestions and made a smoky mezcal cocktail that was to die for. It was so smooth with a refreshing after taste. Often it's too spicy for me but it was memorable. I will be back for that cocktail. I waited less than 10 minutes for food. I decided to go for the shrimp. I mainly got the dish to try the polenta and it is creamy indeed, fluffy, filling. Proud of decision. There's a cute patio and dining seating as well. All and all can't wait to come back with friends.

Lisa G.

Yelp
I was looking for something new and different and made reservations for some friends and us at Second Story. We sat on the balcony which is tight but nice. A lot of reviews say the inside is loud and it did seem so, outside had some street noise but we still did fine. My friend had a semi set menu (she got to make choices) as part of Restaurant Week and the rest of us ordered multiple items trying to get a medley of what second story had to offer as even tho we had read the reviews, the menu changed and items weren't available. So we had change your life biscuits which were very good, reminding me of my moms southern biscuits. The Caesar salad was really good and the men raved about it. All of us loved the radiatori ragu the best! The Ragu was so tasty and melted in your mouth. We also liked the Korean pork belly on lobster roll, the fresh oysters with pomegranate, the yellow tail, and the mussels were great too. I think our least favorite was the pressed jerk chicken but it was still good. We had several cocktails with our dinner which were well made - I had my normal New York Sour which was great. We wrapped up our meal with very tasty flan. Overall a great experience!

Justin B.

Yelp
The space here is smaller than we expected, but the outdoor patio is nice and intimate. We had happy hour drinks here over the weekend and the service was exceptional. Tried a couple cocktails and the biscuits; that jam on the side was fantastic! Good bourbon list (although this wouldn't hold a candle to some of the spots we have in Chicago) and the prices for a two ounce pour were fair for Scottsdale. Even got a parking spot in the lot behind the building! A great night; thanks to Lily and the staff for the accommodations.

Luis T.

Yelp
Went during happy hour. The food was really good. We got the $1 Oysters, Caccio e Pepe, French Fries and Pork Lobster Rolls. The oysters were ok, everything else was pretty good. Excellent customer service!

Sara Z.

Yelp
We stumbled in the 106 degree heat, looking for a place to have a few drinks before dinner and I am so glad we found this place. As this was not planned, we did not have a reservation and were seated immediately. The menu is a little overwhelming but they do have a full bar as well, so you can order pretty much whatever you want. I wanted a vodka-based drink and ordered a vodka sour (!! it is a thing) and it was phenomenal. They made my friend a vodka lemonade with strawberry vodka, a french 75 with strawberry vodka, and lastly, sex on the beach. Our server was superb, checking in on us to see if we wanted any other drinks or food. Highly recommend!

Phyllis S.

Yelp
This restaurant is super amazing. Everyone was so professional and comforting and also welcoming. Our waitress was awesome. She made sure we were comfortable the entire time me and my family were there. Jordano, the chef was amazing. The food was seasoned so amazing. Overall everything was delicious. I recommend this restaurant to friends and family whenever they come for a visit. This place made me feel like it was home. Me and my family will be visiting again soon Again thank you guys so much for your warm welcomes and lovely smiles. Keep up the amazing work

Suzi L.

Yelp
2nd drink , first had so much ice.. $18 You think it would be a nice pour.. Place is cool small menu Drink was good just small !

Tyler B.

Yelp
Best service and food I've ever had! Definitely coming back and they set a new bar for the rest of the industry!!!

William M.

Yelp
Fine food, handmade specialty cocktails. My companion noted they were missing some particularly rare liquors but hey, what do I care? I'm there for the food. Consistently excellent.

Michelle M.

Yelp
Great atmosphere went here for their specialty drinks lil spendy but fun come Tuesday for tomahawk experience 75 bucks

Victoria T.

Yelp
Giving this a 2 stars. For the price, the food was mediocre, I guess we were expecting more. It was out first time and took our friends from Canada to celebrate my friend's birthday. We ordered oysters and bruschetta for appetizers and tomahawk and short ribs for entrees. This restaurant is on the second floor, hence the name, and no elevator. Our server was good and attentive.

Cindy L.

Yelp
Second story, Paul Harvey was playing in the bathroom, I miss him. Genghis Khan cocktails, delicious, smoked old fashioned, a great presentation. Lauri was amazing and wonderful, Cory made the place run smooth. Loved the deck, love the views. I WOULD RECOMMEND.

Christine R.

Yelp
First time at Second Story for a double date dinner and it was such a pleasant experience! The ambiance starts from the second you walk in the door. The entrance is a narrow, dark, and moody stairway and then it opens up to the restaurant. The restaurant is on the smaller side so I highly recommend making a reservation unless you are just going for drinks. The cocktails were quality - our table ordered a Manhattan, Old Fashioned, Dirty Martini, and an Aperol Spritz.. everyone enjoyed their drinks. Now food wise, the life changing biscuits (I think was the name) were the STAR of the show - they were fluffy biscuits paired with this yummy butter and marmalade. We also got the mussels, crispy sushi rice, oysters, and tuna sashimi. All seafood items tasted fresh, were nice and cold, and flavorful. I was pleasantly surprised by the oysters - they dressed them up subtly with pomegranates and it was tasty. Treat yourself to a nice dinner here with friends or on a date night for sure.

Andrew H.

Yelp
The ambiance is spot on for a cocktail lounge. We didn't make it outside on the patio with the misters and sat at a hightop near the bar. Our server was very attentive and informative. They had a menu with a variety of bites. Good things happening here.

Yelp
The food was outstanding. We were a party of four. We came here to eat a seed oil free meal. We ordered the bison filets. Spaghetti and meatballs, To share we had a side of carrots and french fries. For desert we shared the apple pie. Everything was so delicious. We cleaned every plate. They don't have coffee and they were out of the beef short ribs. The service very good. This meal was both a culinary experience and comfort food. We would go here again but it was pricey. Btw we also ordered two rounds of drinks from their drinks menu. I've eaten at so many restaurants and this one stands out as one of the best.

Yelp
Second Story is an absolute gem of a restaurant, boasting charming decor and a romantic chic ambiance that sets the perfect mood with dim lighting and elegant chandeliers. The cocktails are expertly crafted to perfection, and each dish we ordered was a delightful culinary experience. The friendly service adds to the overall positive atmosphere. Without a doubt, Second Story is a must-try that I wholeheartedly recommend for anyone seeking a memorable dining experience.

Yelp
Ambeiance is nice. Server, Erica was great. Cocktails were watery and not worth the price. Caesar salad was also watery/bland as can be and not worth eating. There was something wrong with the muscles, they were mushy with was scary. The broth was delicious and of course Noble bread is always good. With 34.00 left on our gift card, the mgr. would not let us give it to Erica! So, we paid her cash and left the balance for which he probably took for the restaurant. Had been wanting to go there for years, was disappointed at every turn. After spending 70.00, we went to a nearby place to gret great food. Would never go back or recommend. Hope Erica finds a different plae to work where her services can shine together with good cocktails and food.

Yelp
Unfortunately mediocre Valentine's Day dinner. The service was unreliable and slow. The hostess had let us know that there was a 2 hour dining limit...although their service took over 2 hours...what a joke. We also incorrectly received courses at the wrong time. Had to send back our palate cleanser for our Second, and had to have dessert sent back so we could receive our mains. Very awkward... -Sour Cherry Soup -Chocolate Pear & Blood Orange Salad - A handful of arugula....and there was maybe a single sliver of blood orange...for the two of us to split. -Chocolate Linguini Carbonara - this was my favorite dish..al dente pasta with a lovely creamy sauce...salty bacon bits. -Italian Ice Intermezzo -Cocoa & Citrus Glazed Salmon - the salmon piece was about 3 inches by 1.5 inch..this main was not up to my imagination for a finer dining experience -Mocha & Chipotle Crusted Filet Oscar - +$65 for this main option - was delicious and seasoned well, but did not have a great sear on it. The amount of crab was very little for an "enhanced" dish with a high upcharge. -Chocolate Budino and mini cannolis - This chocolate was just a no. It was gritty and thin. -1 Old fashioned -1 carousel flight -1 glass of Prosecco At a total of $438, we are sad to conclude that we should have dined at literally any of our other favorite restaurants in town and been very happy at that price point. I will say I appreciate the effort and excitement with the chocolate themed menu, but the execution was laughable at best for a special date night.

Yelp
Drinks/mocktails were good. Biscuits were incredible. Caesar salad was okay. Tomahawk was ordered at a medium rare and it was medium well at best, so to say we were disappointed is an understatement. Came here for husband's birthday and we were looking forward to it for months (just moved here a few months ago). Didn't send back out of respect as it's a $100+ steak and wasn't even sure if they'd take it and bring a new one. Needed a lot of sauce to get through it. Friendly service, took a while to get a box and check but before that our server was attentive. Might come back for apps and pasta but will find a steak elsewhere.

Yelp
Came for dinner on a friend's recommend, with the friend (weird how that works), and the food and atmosphere was a cut about your average Scottsdale steakhouse. We ordered the waygu frites and it was a courageous run at a great cut of Kobe. Most chefs really would have the sack to serve it this way, in my experience; but these boys did, and it was a absolute victory for the Scottsdale food scene. I salute this, recommend them, and am excited to see what this fearless crew does next.

Yelp
This was an awesome find for great food and cocktails. We had the market fish and the truffle tortellini and both were excellent. Their description of a speakeasy-style place with whisky focus is spot on! The place was definitely vibing! Lori was incredibly knowledgeable and her recommendations for us were on point. We will be back for sure. And we enjoyed reading the owners replies to previous reviews when deciding where to go!

Yelp
Went for my bday dinner with my hubby. We enjoyed the tomahawk dinner with side order of the kimchi fried rice. Everything was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious. Definitely will come back.

Yelp
Came for the Tuesday tomahawk special and they didn't have any more... at 7pm with a reservation. Literally the only reason we came was for this. Disappointed in that but the old fashioned was good, service was ok and ambience was good. Will try to get that one more time
