Secret Bar at Son & Garden

I'm glad I stumbled across this restaurant during my recent solo travel trip in San Francisco. Is it in the best location?...No, but it wasn't the worst. It is very chic in the inside. Very much girly girl tea party. Great for photos! They are very generous with the food and the drink I had was delicious and refreshing. It was definitely a summertime drink named "Into the Forest". The chicken sausage was ok and so were the eggs over easy. The highlight for me was the deep fried French Toast. Some of the best I've had! The right amount of crunch and not overly sweet. I can definitely visit here again. The staff were very nice!

This place is amazing! The staff are so friendly and attentive. The decor will knock your socks off - definitely did it for the 'Gram. To top it off, the food and drinks were just as delicious and beautiful as the ambiance. It was fairly easy to make a reservation - just make sure to put that you want the Secret Bar when you reserve online. We were able to reserve for a group of 8, and we had a fabulous time. It's busy so they will ask you wrap it up after 90 minutes. Totally worth it!

First time here, came on my birthday... had the Mama Monte, so delicious! Chicken cooked to perfection, the crispy bite of the Monte Cristo sandwich 👌, I'm a foodie and rarely do I sit at any place and thoroughly enjoy the food. Docked a star because I asked for the cocktail served in a bird and was given a gummy bear cocktail that tasted like a green apple jolly rancher, I didn't complain because the overall experience was good. I came here by way of an Instagram influencer and sorta wanted to try it.

The Into the Forest drink and the other drink names were unique and interesting. Definitely want to try them all eventually.

It’s a beautiful Instagrammable bar with some unique cocktails and food. We tried 2 and loved the Snow Queen dessert cocktail.

Exceptional food and drinks. Very friendly service. Would definitely visit again.

I wanted to say something really important about this restaurant— the staff, food, drinks and decor a truly wonderful! So this review is nothing to do with the establishment that’s why I’m giving 5 stars because it is definitely worth five stars. I just think it’s important to recognize that this restaurant is in an incredibly dangerous area . I took my sisters and mom here for after a fun wedding appointment ; my complete fault for not doing my research of where it was located in the city - it is smack dab in the middle of the tenderloin and in a very bad and rough area - I was shocked at the location and we were running to get back to our car as the homeless people in the area were very aggressive and using , people being chased , and fires in random spots on the sidewalk. Again , this is just really important to note that be prepared for the area , don’t park your car nearby and come with a group .

This place is very pretty, great vibes and interiors(instagram perfect). I loved their cocktails and brunch options as well. There usually is a long wait, so keep this under consideration. Dress up and take pictures with your girlfriends, enjoy food, tea party vibes!

I have been eyeing this place for a few months after I saw a video of their drinks on Instagram at SF Bucket List but it had to be with the right group. Décor and Ambiance It's the perfect place for a girl's night out for drinks. I really hoped they had space for dancing and a DJ for a fun girl's night to dance after all the drinks that we had. The decorations are amazing and this place is definitely a bucket list place to check out in San Francisco Drinks and Menu The drinks were amazing and mesmerizing. I hope that someday they offer a flight option of all the drinks they offer. We had the fries and lobster Mac and cheese and did not disappoint. I will be back for more drinks and try more food options Service We had a nice server and she took good care of us. Normally the limit is 2 hours but since they weren't bust we stayed longer than 2 hours and that was nice of them. I wished that they were open later

It's a great place for friends, dates, and hanging out, catering to a more feminine vibe, but anyone is welcomed! You're here for the aesthetics and the aesthetic food and drinks (don't be alarmed by the expensive prices). Their drinks are shared by Son & Garden (same restaurant basically), but some are only available through the Secret Bar from my understanding. We tried their Beauty and the Beast and the drink with the bird glass (forgot the name). The drinks were pretty aesthetic, but aren't strong. Beauty and the Beast (the one with the rose) was really fruity, but good. I had their portobello Benedict (vegetarian dish) and the pineapple salsa was okay with it. If I were to get it again, I'd just ask for it on the side. My poached eggs were overcooked, and didn't really run when I poked it, but it was still an overall tasty dish. Potatoes were well-seasoned and crispy, which I enjoyed! Again, a great place for tea, girls' night out, and a place for the aesthetics to target the millennials. I'd come back here for the vibes though LOL.

This place is an overflow spot for the Son and Garden next door. Food is good but very expensive. At least it has a shorter wait than Son and Garden.

My family and I stumbled upon this gem on Christmas Eve. We had dinner nearby and were looking for a bar since we had some time before our show. When we arrived, the bar looked closed. We went into the restaurant and asked, and they actually opened the bar up just for us! The service was amazing, the staff were friendly, and the place has such great vibes. The decor is amazing and the drinks are so creative! Everything was delicious- we tried 6 different cocktails between 3 of us and everything was great. I'd love to come back for brunch and work my way through their menu! I'll definitely be back!

I LOVE that Son & Garden and Farmhouse Thai decided to have a baby and make SECRET BAR. Ever since Son & Garden unleashed that IG reel of this gorgeous ass bar, my friend feverishly tried to get us reservations at this place. you have to make a reservation at Son & Garden and then make a request to seat here. The first moment you step in, you see the whimsical and gorgeous decor. It is 100% catered to IG pictures and foodporn photography. Since we were three people, we were able to get a larger table in front of the bar (not the large table in the corner) Since we had got to Son & Garden before, we wanted to order menu items that were only for Secret Bar (mostly appetizers and drinks). -oysters: SO PRETTY, they had gold flakes and caviar on them. I think they come in a set of 2, so we asked to get an extra one (they charged half). they were sweet and delicious. -grilled corn: this were passable... they were okay but we tried to be all classy and cut the corn. DO NOT do this lmao. the corn flew off the plate. its just a small piece of corn, grilled and seasoned like an elote -truffle parmesan fries: LOL we were debating on getting this because truffle parm fries are the same everywhere you go hahah. but this was nice as finger food to munch on -seafood platter: This was basically our meal! comes with a whole lobster, scallops, shrimp, mussels, calamari, tuna poke, oysters, and some crab meat. This was super filling! -truffle chicken pate: I absolutely loved this. comes in a puff pastry like a pot pie. it was savory but I wish there was more of this! -my little ruby bird: My friend got this one, but I ended up liking this the most! it is the red bird perched on a branch. It is a light and fruity drink -the weekend: This one comes in the cool dry ice box. This one is a whiskey drink. I am not a huge fan of mezcal so I didnt like it too much haha. it comes with candied bacon! -la la land: This drink is the one with the big bubble full of smoke! I watched them make it and some of them deflate, so you don't get too much time with it before it goes BYE! I dont remember how this one tasted like, but it was fun to watch -Lavender peacock drink: I'm not sure what this one was called. It was one of my drinks. It has a little bit of gin so there is that aftertaste. I enjoyed it and LOVED the peacock design on top. I think it's made with sugar. it was sweet when I ate it at the end. Also kind of fruity! -Rose drink: Not sure what this one was called, but another drink that I got. Reminds me of beauty and the beast (maybe the name is related to that?). I wanted to get it because it had cinnamon in it! It actually tasted a bit like horchata and on the sweeter side. I liked this one a lot The waitstaff was super nice and accommodating! They answered all of our questions and helped us take pictures at the end. I am glad that by the end of our dinner, the place was empty enough to take pictures around the room. I didnt take a picture of the bathroom, but it was so cute and aesthetically pleasing. It reminded me of a massage room (minus the toilet) because it was slightly dark, decorated with flowers, had a candle going and smelled nice. Overall, such an amazing experience! You definitely pay for that here

During my work trip to San Francisco I came across this restaurant.They were super packed so they walked me over to the "Secret Bar" next door that had the same vibe and served the same menu. I got : - Mussels: 6/10 half of them were just shells. The waitress gave me a fresh batch which was amazing CS, but they were lacking a lot of flavor. The garlic bread was delicious. - Lobster mac &cheese: 7/10 the Mac itself was decent but they only gave you a half of tiny lobster tail. I didn't think it was worth the money. - Lazy Bird Cocktail: 10/10 sooo flavor, delicious, and potent! Overall: - Decor and Ambiance: 10/10 - Service : 10/10 - Food: 6.5/10 -Cocktails: 10/10 Would I come back... Yes for the drinks and vibes

The drinks are incredible. The atmosphere is incredible. However, the service and attitude of the staff is not so great and the area of downtown it is located in is VERY sketchy. I did not feel comfortable walking in this area or parking my car here.

Omg this place is so fun!! Every drink order is an experience!! I spent $45 with tip on two drinks no food. However, I would go back in a second. It is great for groups but I went solo and still had an amazing time!! The food looked good but I wanted to try Tommy's up the street so i just got drinks. I will be returning, I need to experience the other drinks and try some food next time!!!

I've to Son and Garden with friends before coming to Secret bar and lounge last night with family for my sister in law's birthday and both experiences was great! The host, I believe her name is Britta was super attentive and very polite the whole time. We were one of the last ones there before they close and they didn't make us feel rush at all. The food and drinks were delicious! The fried chicken was really good with their special gravy sauce! I also like the Loco Moco. Calamari was crispy and tender just how I like it! The drinks are unique and cute! The decor of course, are instagram vibe. They have a special area for a photo shoot with ring light and everything at Son and Garden, and at the secret bar, the wall are a nice background for photos. I'll be back again in the future! thank you for a great service! P.S. Make a reservation!

I've never been this impressed by a restaurant or establishment. But to keep it simple. 5 stars is being meek. If I could give 1,000,000 stars, I would. Brain child of Farmhouse Thai, this place is by far the best in food, ambiance, drinks, creativity, aesthetics, service, collaboration, all of it. I had the most wonderful time tonight and I can't stop raving and thinking about how well they did with this venture. Farmhouse Thai really did it for me when I discovered it. It's a speakeasy type of spot, even the name, Secret Bar & Lounge was brilliant. You walk into a whole new world at each venue which are literally next to each other (divided by a boutique hotel entrance). I actually liked how mysterious it was to walk from the line at SG to SBL. I got the pork chop and the drinks were not just beautiful and appealing, but they were damn good too...all the decor inside was enchanting. Like I said, a whole new world. It was nice to escape the chaotic world that we currently live in today right in the heart of the TL. I Love SF.

Had a happy hour/ dinner with friends here last night! They were able to get us in with no reservation Drinks are a work of art and super tasty. Definitely a fun spot to come with a group for great pictures, the decorations are beautiful! For the price I thought the food was a good portion and everything tasted great. Will be back soon

What Ana amazing find?! Super cute! Creative fun drinks. Great atmosphere. Great customer service. My friend and I can to experience the drinks and be in a fun space. We got both. I would definitely recommend. Drinks are on the pricey side but your paying for the experience.

I usually don't write reviews but, I thought it was very very worth it! Everything was very nice Decor was outstanding and very polite hosts Definitely recommend the cloud 9 and into the forest the best drinks I've had so far.
