3.5 stars, but rounding up to 4
We came in as a 5:30pm reservation on a Friday evening for a girls holiday happy hour. When making the reservation, they are clear that there is a 2 hour max and provide you with the secret passcode which is required for entry.
The interior seems pretty small, but surprisingly
can comfortably fit a decent amount of people without ever really feeling packed, and is decorated with a cool retro east meets west vibe.
Once we were seated, we were provided with a drink menu, as well as a small bites food menu. Unfortunately, the drink menu doesn't really give you any kind of deciphering information as to what you are ordering. After asking our server, there were only 2 vodka drinks on the menu, and both seemed pretty sweet, so I ended up just ordering a Tito's and water. One of our table mates tried ordering an espresso martini and was told that they won't really make anything off the menu unless it was something simple like my order, which is just something else to note.
After what seemed like ages, our drinks finally arrived. We found that most of the menu cocktails are pretty sweet, which some of the girls really enjoyed, but it's just not my thing. We ordered some small bites and everything ordered was pretty good. Zero complains in the food department, but that's not surprising as we have always been a fan of the restaurant on the other side. I ordered the bbq pork and salt and pepper squid, both of which I really enjoyed
Our experience wasn't terrible, but it also wasn't really anything to write home about. The amount of time it took for the drinks to come out was pretty excessive considering there is a 2 hour max for the table reservation. No joke, we literally waited about 30-45 min to get the first round, but I would be willing to give it another try in hopes that it was just a one time fluke.
