Good all inclusive hotel. It is about an hour away from the airport. The view close to the beach is great but from the rooms not so much. There is a lot of construction happening on both sides of the hotel which is all you can see. The room was clean but not really ready when we got there. There was no soap and the body wash bottle in the shower was completely empty. The thermostat was not working for half of our stay. The staff was nice until you ran out of cash to tip.. they even stopped giving us water at some point.

The resort is new and visually stunning. The building is clean and the views are great from the rooftop pool, but it doesn’t feel like you are getting enough services and amenities for the price. The wait times and service for the restaurants are subpar and if you don’t drink and eat all day, you are not getting your moneys worth for how much it costs to stay here a night. The food is hit or miss depending on what restaurant and the waits can be upwards of 1.5-2 hours. Top shelf liquor costs extra and the wine selection is terrible. The French restaurant is worth visiting, but a lot of the others leave something to be desired. The rooms and well appointed but most don’t have a view of the ocean.

Revised review: Despite having some initial issues with the room water pressure and long wait times at restauraunts and room service mot being fulfilled, our experience was improved after talking to the chief concierge Tomas. Traveling to the resort during the holiday season (peak time) inevitably results in some challenges with resort staffing, but the overall experience was positive. The separation b/t the adult only and family side of the resort was not always enforced, but the staff around the resort are doing their best and if there are issues, guests should make it aware to the team. The night time manager Alejandro was super responsive and rectified our issues in a timely manner. People who are expecting a prestine beach should be warned that it is rocky and meant for surfing rather than swimming (as the resort name suggests). The spa is well kept and cool features such as the waterfall and nigh time projections were the high lights of our trip. Do your research before booking as this venue is great for large parties/events such as weddings.

Great resort in Punta Mita. Great for a quiet getaway from the busy city. The facility is new and well maintained. Beautiful beach and views all around the property. Pools are outstanding. Staff are friendly. The food is amazing! Every restaurant has many great options. Drinks and bar service are also amazing. Hope to return very soon.

Elegant resort experience with a focus on luxury. The pools, amenities and activities were great. The only drawback is the accessibility between the family pool and adult pool is completely blocked by planters. The buffet was not bad with a wide variety of food options. The service was always great. We ate at the Italian restaurant, taco restaurant, Mediterranean and Mezes. My favorite food is had was the fish tacos at the poolside grills, osobuco (Amazing) and the Baklava from Mezes. Coffe shop was great and convenient as well as the truffle parmesean fries from the pool grill. The room was spacious and comfortable. The refresh plunge was nice but it was too cold to enjoy as the weather didn't quite permit use. I would consider coming back on our own since this was with a company rewards/awards trip, but we loved it here.

I stayed at this hotel for a week before Christmas, and it was an incredible experience! Every day, I could see whales right from the hotel’s pool, which was absolutely unforgettable. There are many pools on the property, and none of them were ever crowded. You can almost always find a quiet pool where no one is swimming. The cleanliness is impressive — everything is spotless. The staff deserves special praise: they were incredibly friendly, kind, and always willing to help. The hotel has so many restaurants that we didn’t manage to try them all during our stay. Our favorites were Blue Water Grill, the French restaurant, and Himitsu. The food was delicious, and our plates were almost always empty. Another big plus is the variety of zones for different needs. There are special adults-only areas where you can relax in complete silence. For children and teenagers, the hotel provides excellent facilities: I saw daycare groups that looked fun and safe. The teen zone is also worth mentioning — it’s exciting, and alcohol consumption is strictly prohibited, making it a safe environment. Our room was perfect. The bedding was always fresh and had a lovely scent. Housekeeping cleaned our room twice a day and always greeted us with smiles. This hotel exceeded all my expectations. I couldn’t have imagined enjoying my stay so much. The only downside was the rocky and small beach, so I recommend bringing special shoes for the ocean. However, this minor issue didn’t spoil my overall experience.

Most of the wait staff were very nice, the room cleaning crew was awesome, Jessica was very nice. Didn’t get their names but room service was also friendly and helpful. The front staff took about an hour to check us in (no lines). Though the problem was related over confusion regarding the age of one our kids. They were very accommodating. There was a room situation related to my mother having to leave early and there was some miscommunication again they accommodated. The hotel overall is beautiful but the layout requires a lot of walking, switching elevators, and getting lost.

2 out of 5 stars We were really excited for our group stay at the resort, but it didn’t live up to expectations. Things started off rocky when we didn’t get the room we’d booked and were put in a downgraded room on the family side of the resort. To make it worse, no one gave us directions, so we wandered around this confusing maze of hallways for a while, trying to figure out where we were going. The elevators didn’t even go to all the floors, which just added to the frustration. When we finally found our room, it wasn’t great. There were spills on the floor, parts of the room were falling apart, and it smelled like mold. The hot water barely worked, and the water pressure was almost nonexistent. On top of that, the shower didn’t drain properly, which was a problem many of us in our group experienced. Speaking of showers, one of our guests actually had a chunk of her toe taken off by the shower door in her room, which was alarming and definitely not something you expect at a resort. The whole situation left us pretty uneasy about the overall quality and safety. The resort is massive, and getting from the room to the pools or restaurants was exhausting. The sheer distance you have to walk around the property was overwhelming, and with the elevators out of order, it felt like a workout just to get anywhere. The service was another disappointment. Some of the staff were friendly, but most didn’t seem interested in helping. Instead, they were more focused on trying to sell us timeshares or upsell room upgrades, with prices that varied depending on who you talked to. We also noticed there wasn’t much personalized service—waiters seemed irritated whenever we needed something. There were multiple safety issues. My girlfriend tripped over poorly maintained areas, and the infinity pools weren’t working, which was a huge letdown. The waterfall at the spa wasn’t running either when we visited, which only added to the sense that things weren’t well maintained. The food was a bit of a mixed bag. Most of it was really good, but a few meals were disappointing. The mixed drinks, though, were pretty bad almost every time. It’s surprising for a resort trying to be high-end. The resort did try to make things right by offering us a complimentary 25-minute massage on our last day, which was a nice gesture, but it didn’t make up for all the issues we dealt with. In the end, this place is trying hard to be something it’s not. It wants to be a luxury resort, but it just doesn’t hit the mark. From safety concerns to service issues, there’s a lot that needs improvement. For the price, we expected a lot more. If they can fix these things, it might be worth it, but right now, I’d recommend looking elsewhere for a relaxing getaway.
