We have eaten here a few times but tonight was perfect. My husband and I wanted to come for our NYE dinner. We made a 9:15pm reservation. We arrived 8:15pm to check in. We were seated at 8:35pm. Our waiter. Aaron was on point! Great smile, friendly, didn't let my husbands drink run out(which is a tip killer for him). The appetizers and food we ordered was delicious and so was the white sangria! The festive holiday atmosphere was wonderful. We finished eating around 9:15pm (our reservation time) . We couldn't have asked for a more perfect night.

Google
We really enjoyed our time! The Christmas lights and décor were stunning, busy and bright, but full of holiday spirit. The staff were warm and attentive, and we loved the drinks and starters. The mains didn’t wow us as much (dry chicken and an over-seasoned shrimp/lobster dish), but overall we still had a good experience.

Keep in mind this restaurant is in downtown Fredericksburg were parking is horrible and it's also the home of overpriced under whelming food for tourists in the area. 12-15-25 11 AM Last time we were here was right after they opened and the food wasn't very good. We had a $25.00 e-gift card and this was the only reason we returned. Our initial greeting upon checking in was we have a 90 minute dining limit. We have lived in 6 different states and two foreign countries and never been told we have a set time to eat and leave. That is enough to keep anyone from returning, including us. *The wife and I had an appetizer then ordered our simple lunch. We had 20 minutes to spare when we settled the tab. No alcohol. The staff were attentive and the restaurant was clean. The Christmas music was a little loud but the incoming lunch crowd drowned that out quickly. The wife's crab flatbread and Cuban sandwich were both good. As was my Tai wings and cheeseburger/fries. Very expensive, but good. $70.22 for lunch. $45.22 after the gift card. We can get two nice steak dinners for that in Central Park. Last visit here. *Note this review was completed without using ridiculous un-discriptive terms like out-of-bounds, OMG, on point, awesome, the bomb, yummy, delish, to die for, do yourself a favor, trust me, flavorful, or kids emojis etc.. Describe the food, service (or lack of) and provide details on the cost/copy of check and include pictures! Is the place clean? No disrespect to the employees, but no one cares about the waiter/waitress/clerk names, or if they look like they fell face first into a tackle box. They get changed like underwear and you don't get to pick one. We don't care about your allergies, vibes, how "chill" you feel, or the need for gluten free food. **If you see a Google review posted with just stars & no text, report it via the 3 dot selection adjacent to the review. If the text in the review doesn't describe the food/service report it. This cleans up Google reviews and removes the slugs just trying to get reviewer points by marking a star or "paid" reviewers. Process: Select - Report review. Select- Not helpful at the bottom of the drop down menu. If the review doesn’t help people decide whether to utilize this business or go to this place it's worthless.

Google
Very good place to come and eat. The servers give you ample time to decide what you want to eat or drink. The drinks were solid but not as strong as I’d like. They did give me the wrong drink, but the one they brought me tasted good so I didn’t mind. The food was really good. I ordered the cheeseburger and it was delicious. The beef itself did taste fantastic, but I felt it was a little bland. Good servers, atmosphere, and good food.

Google
Damn good. On Monday they have a $12 steak meal. It is sooooooooooo good ! They cook the steak perfectly & everything is delicious. The vibe is beautiful and the aura of the staff is great !!! Amazing date night. The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is Sarah as a waiter, she is insufferable and rude. If you get her then switching for another waiter is in your best interest.

19AUG.2025 First time here for me and my mate. Brie was a superb waitress for STH. She was pleasant and friendly. She gave great wine recs. Anything she recommended was wonderful. Tuesday’s was drink specials. I had the crab 🦀 stuffed shrimp 🍤 and steamed spinach with garlic mashed potatoes and it was good. The shrimp was a little tough on the ends. My mate loved the portion of his crab cakes with micro 🥬 and fell in love with the remoulade sauce. We will be back and again.

Jessica G.

Google
Second time going and I got the same thing! Shrimp stuffed with crab meat. YUMMY! Our waiter was good but I think they had some call outs today so we had to wait longer that normal for the food.

Kenya M.

Google
The Spicy Thia shrimp was so delicious. The sauce was even better. The house salad was very good too. I used my Thai sauce on it which elevated the taste. The Shrimp Primavera was perfect, and I'm not a pasta girl. I did not like the Thai chicken wings. They were rubbery.

Terrence A.

Yelp
Very nice wait staff. Food is very good. They have diverse menu. The interior interesting has a full bar. A mix of tables to include high tops, booths, and tables. In warm days there is seating outside. A little noisy is my only complaint.

Vincent M.

Yelp
The moment you step in to the establishment, the hostess greeted you with a smile and was ready to seat you. The waitresses were gracious and did their very best to bring your desired drinks. Upon receiving your drinks, the waitress gave us options of the special of the day and gave us ample time to decide on ordering. The food was the best I've tasted, cook to perfection. The ambiance of the establishment is very clean. The restaurant was decked out for the Holidays and it was a surprise. (mind you that it was before Thanksgiving). Overall experience, I've been to this establishment three times and it never disappoints. I'll definitely return.

Yelp
Very good service and quality food. Perfect portions. Took father in law for his 81st birthday here. He got the burger. I got surf & turf while hubby got the salmon. We went to 5 restaurants looking for salmon! Will be back!

Yelp
4 star service, 3 star food. Cara was a great server, and the bar staff was friendly. Great ambience. Amazing beer selection. Family and dog friendly. But the food was definitely mediocre to terrible. I got the vegan burger and it hearkens back to being a vegetarian in the 1990s: flavorless. Not only that, it was cold in the middle. The "roasted " Brussels sprouts were very disappointing - they'd been boiled or steamed, and were not only mushy but salty too. My husband's crab omelette was too salty. My friend's waffles were okay. The kid meals were satisfactory- but I will say the steamed broccoli was hella salty. All in all, come here to drink. Maybe eat some appetizers but for a full blown meal I'm betting there are better options in the area.

Yelp
Service totally lacking; just left the establishment after sitting at a table for 15 mins after being seated. No acknowledgment, no initial offering of water, etc. Waitress just left menus for us , never returned to get drink orders, appetizer order, or meal preferences. Not even a quick stop by the table to explain the long wait. We were seated very near to where the wait staff were coming and going, yet at no time did anyone acknowledge our presence or inquire WHY as customers we had no drinks, we were looking aimlessly around for service yet no one would make eye contact. They apparently seem to be busy, but service just wasn't there, or worth spending my $ on... Instead of waiting any further with no results we walked out...

Yelp
Came here for a girls night dinner and service speed and attentiveness was great. The place is currently decorated for the holidays so it's very festive and fun. We used yelp to book our reservation and it only allows up to 4 people so had to then call to update to a larger party size. We were sat at a booth so 5 was a tad tight with all the food and drinks, but we made it work. Food was great. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
Good place to go any day of the week. They have a good menu. They have a variety of items to choose from - vibe is always good.

The ambiance was fantastic, the service was top-notch, and the food was fresh, warm, and delicious. I'd definitely recommend this place -- it's worth every penny.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, delicious food and good service. We sat outside enjoying the great weather for dinner as we catches up with old friends. The wife and I shared the Spicy Thai Shrimp which was absolutely the best! They hit a nice little spice but nothing overbearing. And the big entree was the Handcut NY Strip that hit the spot. Service overall was good but definitely felt like we were being rushed even after we advised the server at the beginning that we were all catching up as we hadn't seen each other in such a long time so we apologized we weren't in a rush to order food but definitely keep the drinks flowing This restaurant has it a great ambiance that allows for a group of friends to catch up, a big bar area if you're just wanting to be alone or away, as well as areas that allow for more intimate meet ups.

Yelp
I love coming to this restaurant. It's so popular and busy, it located in downtown Fredericksburg. It's definitely busy on the weekends. The parking is limited on street parking but there is a parking garage nearby. We decided to come on a Sunday and was easily seat immediately. We opted to be on the patio seating. Our server introduced herself, I wish the service was a bit more better. We started with drinks and two appetizers the bread basket and chips & guacamole. 10 out of 10. We tried to order another bread basket but I couldn't find our server at all. We waited about 20 minutes to order another basket. We ordered our entrees. I have a Vegan friend. I wish they had more vegan friendly options. My friend was set to a very limited menu. Please add more vegan options. We ordered a vegan primavera option and the stuffed crab shrimp. My daughter got the burger. Everything was good overall! I recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Office staff had lunch on the doctors tab, while they are on vacation. I guess we can call it 'Team Building' because the drinks were definitely adding extra laughter to our great time together. Nice table & great service was delivered. Mya was very professional and was bringing drinks and refills before we asked. Now for the food, we started with the Crab stuffed mushrooms, delicious! Crab/Artichoke dip, delicious! Tempura Shrimp, great! All of our meals were so good, even though a lot went home because of us overeating the appetizers. I have to say, that succotash was the best I've had in a long time. Will definitely go back.

Yelp
Overall, I would recommend this place. I went on a Sunday around 12noon. They had brunch options that I was very pleased with. I went with the Chesapeake Crab Benedict but got scrambled eggs, instead of poached and I was extremely pleased. I wasn't a fan of the brussel sprouts. They weren't crispy enough and they had onions. Also, the breakfast potatoes were a bit too spicy and again not crispy enough. But the benedict itself was delicious. Also, I had the creme brûlée and it was yummy. Our waiter Aaron was awesome, very attentive and answered all of my many questions. Bonus - they have outdoor seating, if you're someone who enjoys eating outside.

Yelp
Okay so I went with my family to this restaurant the day before Christmas . They were smart because they were cooking up all their available inventory before the holiday. The venue is really nice and our server Lindsay was top notch. We were sitting right outside the kitchen so we could hear EVERYTHING lol even conversations that we probably shouldn't have heard. However I get it if I was working on Christmas Eve I may have feelings as well. The crab stuffed mushrooms were not available since they sold out the night before so Lindsay made some great suggestions. We had wings, and the crab flat bread , I had steak, my family had the chicken sandwich, burger and clam chowder. So let's talk food: The shining star was the soup : hot, seasoned and delicious. The less than sensational was the steak and mashed potatoes. Both under seasoned and not really meeting the price tag on the meal. From the feedback of my family the burger and chicken sandwich were both good about a 7/10. Really the best thing about the place was the service. Lindsay was great . I am not sure if I would go here again or maybe I just ordered the wrong thing.

Yelp
Food was flavorful and cooked to perfection! Our server was attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The night we went they were having a charity event for service dogs so there were lots of doggies outside! Outside patio welcomes dogs.

Ashton L.

Yelp
Service is SERIOUSLY lacking for their prices and location. Food is a hit or miss because our spicy Thai shrimp was decent at best!!! It's really disappointing the bar service was practically non existent
google avatar

Avery L.

Yelp
We started with the Buffalo cauliflower. The portion was a little small but taste was super good. Loved the blue cheese with it. The STH burger was a little disappointing, it could have used more sauce and slaw but it was very juicy and the gluten free bun did not fall apart. The real star was the sweet potato fries. They are some of the best I have ever had, super crispy but still fluffy inside. The service was quick and attentive for a busy night.
google avatar

David B.

Yelp
Solid place. Great big bar, friendly staff, and warm atmosphere. Tried the "Devil Pass Dip" after it came highly recommended by the bartender. It was very good not great. Very rich and creamy but I expected a little bit of a spicy kick with the name. Also had the Alpine burger. Cooked perfectly and delicious. I consider myself a self proclaimed burger snob and this did not disappoint. I would definitely recommend and return back to this place.

Yelp
Top experience!! I'm so mad because I had written down the name of our AMAZING waiter and I can't find it now. But WOW, let's start with the service. It's sooo hard to find restaurants with good service these days. Well that's not the case here. Our waiter was absolutely amazing!!!! Sooo polite, fun, welcoming, knowledgeable and with the best recommendations. Even if the food was terrible (which wasn't) I would have come back just because the experience and service were that refreshing! Now onto the food... Do yourself a favor and order the nachos!! They were one of the best I've ever had, the queso sauce was divine and the pork was perfectly cooked. They are huge. Hubby had the black angus flat iron steak, perfectly seasoned and cooked, he had the Brussels sprouts which were great too! I LOVE restaurants that offer a great kids menu and not just the typical nuggets and fries. I ordered the grilled chicken and veggies for my girls and they loved it, it was a nice portion, seasoned to perfection. Our amazing waiter had the best recommendations for beers, we tried the peanut butter stout (epic), creamy vanilla beer (epic) and a cider. Can't wait to be back and to find out the name of our amazing waiter so I can properly give him all the props!

Yelp
Horrible horrible experience. Maybe the worst I've ever had. Came in at 6 and was offered 25-35 minute wait. I gave them my phone number and walked down a few businesses and realized I didn't get a confirmation text. I came back in and asked to double check because I didn't get a confirmation. They told me that I would only get one when the table was ready. Came back inside to sit and wait when it had been 50 minutes. I decided to check. They told me they called, text and called our name out 3 times. I didn't get any calls, any texts and we had been sitting in the restaurant for 20 minutes. They told me because I didn't pick up I had to get back on the waitlist and wait 30 minutes. What an absolute joke of an establishment. The little girls working here were absolutely ridiculous. DO NOT GO HERE. I will never return. Also this was for a special birthday dinner.
google avatar

Yelp
Easy to get into for Thursday lunch. Lindsey was our server and did an excellent job. We had buffalo cauliflower as an appetizer, really tasty. The other appetizer: desert fire jalapeños, also tasty. But, the bacon wrapped around them was near raw and all fatty, except for a tiny 1/8" sliver of meat (see photo). That's pretty bad. Nevertheless, the rest of the meal was so good that no stars removed. 5-star! I had the prime rib sandwich, which is kind of a French dip. It was excellent, as was the Brussel Sprouts that I ordered as a side. Nice ambiance.
google avatar

Chris T.

Yelp
So first off, this was for a birthday brunch where we met family halfway between where we each live. I didn't pick the venue. The good: server was attentive, friendly and efficient. That's what made this a 3 star and not a 2 star review. Bad: I know it's a chain, but honestly, I've had hard boiled eggs runnier than their "poached" eggs for the crab Benedict. Three of us had this dish and 5 out of six eggs looked like the picture. Clearly no training on how to cook eggs and each egg was exactly the same shape, leading me to believe they are definitely pre-made and reheated within an inch of their lives for each order. Also serviced with a hollandaise paste as it could not really be called sauce. Two other people ordered burgers at our table, both medium rare. One came out well and the other very rare. The asparagus was incredibly stringy and clearly hadn't been trimmed which is just basic knowledge, but again, a chain so I don't expect that anyone in the kitchen has been trained to cook beyond what the corporate manual tells them to do. Prices were fine for brunch, but I definitely would not risk the overpriced entrees if this was any indication of the quality.
google avatar

Robert H.

Yelp
Third time here and may not return. Service at the bar was dismal to say the least which has not been our experience in the past. We asked for club soda and FINALLY got just water. There were maybe four patrons at the bar including us, so it wasn't busy. It took forever to order food and good luck getting drink refills! I asked for the Thai spiced shrimp and had to say twice "no, not salmon - SHRIMP!". Burger was served dry with no sauce at all or mayo. Bartender never checked on us to even see if we wanted ketchup with the fries. I was finally able to get someone else to check us out. Restaurant is also very loud. Outside seating would be a better option.

Yelp
Cowboy butter steak was so amazing I can't fine words to express enough .service was great they were very nice. The vibe are cool
google avatar

Yelp
I have always had great dining experiences at Sedona Taphouse. The only issue is no reservations!! Yes, I have four stars solely because of this as the wait upon arrival can be ridiculous depending on the day. The food is always from kitchen to table hot and seasoned to perfection. Devils pass is my favorite dish. The drinks are always on point. The bar seating area is extensive and the main dining room is spacious as well. I've even enjoyed outdoor seating on nice evenings. Another bonus is street and garage parking nearby.

Yelp
Love love love this place I'm here all the time as you can see! Food is really good! Service is good depending upon the sever. And the ambiance is great especially when it's Werner and u an sit outside or by the pit.

Yelp
I absolutely love coming here, the food is always top tier as well as the service! Their steaks are great!

Yelp
Came here with my guy and we had the crab stuffed mushrooms And they were very tasty . For my entree I had the land and sea with Brussel sprouts and roasted corn. The shrimp were a little to salty for my liking but I still ate it. The steak was ok nothing to jump hoops about. Would I go back absolutely. There is so much to choose from the menu!
google avatar

Erica C.

Yelp
I had the grilled chicken, house salad and mashed potatoes. All was amazing. I also ordered the strawberry tinny... it was good as well.

Yelp
Today we were out and decided to go to Sedonas downtown. We found out that on Thursday they have a 25 percent discount for fireman, law enforcement, military and first responders. The rest of the of the week they give 15 percent, a nice gesture to those who serve. My daughter loves the pasta here, I ordered a cheeseburger burger. My son ordered the tacos.
google avatar

Yelp
My husband and I went to lunch on 3/28/25 at Sedona. I was pleasantly surprised to find so many choices. It was hard to decide. I started with a Pinot Grigio and he had a smoked Old Fashioned with the crab stuffed mushrooms. They were delicious, but small. I had the salmon asparagus salad. The salmon was cooked beautifully, the salad was fresh, and the lemon vinaigrette was perfect. My husband had the Crispy Chicken sandwich with buffalo sauce instead of hot honey glaze. It came with shoestring fries-my favorite. Our server was pleasant and helpful. Our food came quickly and hot. Our half booth half table was comfy and clean. The restaurant is light and airy. Looking forward to returning and trying the Prime Rib sandwich and the Acapulco Fish tacos.

Bill M.

Yelp
Went to Sedona Taphouse for the first time last Saturday night, and it was an excellent experience. The food was very good, it was a nice atmosphere, and everyone working there was very friendly. Our server was very attentive, as well. It really had a local feel to it. I was shocked when I found out after the fact that there are some 17 locations. One appetizer, one beer flight, three entrees was around $88, including tax but not including tip. The only room for improvement I found was that the serving size for the shrimp-and-scallop scampi was kind of small. I was really hungry, and I was still a bit hungry after cleaning my plate. I get it that seafood is expensive, but they could have thrown more pasta on the plate and filled me up quite cheaply.

Yelp
Love this place . I've been meaning to leave a review but I forgot . Drinks are amazing , got dirty goose , which is dirty martini . my husband got a Paloma. - amazing . I got steak and crab stuffed shrimp . it is to die for. my husband got fish tacos which were also delish, service was fast . In all , highly recommend !!

Yelp
The food is always delicious, and the bar service is top-notch. Elizabeth is an outstanding bartender--friendly, attentive, and always makes me feel welcome. It's clear she cares about creating a great experience for every guest. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
One of the best spots to eat in The Burg. Steak and stuffed shrimp is a classic. Firecracker poppers are a 10! Fun place!

Yelp
Good food and service. Came early today since I don't like to wait to sit. This place is popular so prime hours you typically have to wait. Great restaurant! Prefer to sit at the bar but it's all good

Yelp
Always had an amazing experience here. The food is so good. This is my restaurant of choice when in Fredericksburg. Staff is friendly and helpful. This is our go to spot for good food and good drinks.

Yelp
Always pleased with Sedona. I love to go there for the wide variety of menu options. The quality of the food is always reliably excellent!

Yelp
Absolutely amazing place! One of our favorite spots for great food, a variety of drinks, and exceptional service! Asia did a phenomenal job. Attentive, quick, and provided world class customer service. And what an environment, lively, hopping, all with great conversation!! Well done Sedona!

Yelp
Food is good, quality is just good enough to justify the prices .. Mostly. The Goat cheese bruschetta... I yearn for the day I have it once more. Beautiful, . Marvelous.

Shari K.

Yelp
The food is excellent and our server was very attentive. Would highly recommend getting the bread with dipping oil and honey butter!

Yelp
The customer service was great food came out hot and the drinks were perfect and me and my husband met the owners at the bar while waiting on our table they were Awesome People. We will most definitely keep coming back.

Yelp
This is a great spot for happy hour and dinner with friends or a group. The $5 old fashioneds on Tuesday were awesome. The menu has a diverse variety and most dietary preferences seem to be considered. The food was delicious and the service was great. I dined with a group of coworkers and everyone enjoyed the experience. I would definitely recommend Sedona Taphouse and look forward to returning.

Yelp
An early Father's Day dinner location. Called in advance, no wait, 15 minutes later, a 30 minute wait but was called in about 15. Fortunately seated in a booth. Service was pleasant and with little wait. The table was clean, the floor was not but who eats off the floor?? Our food was delivered timely and hot. The Devil's Pass pasta was tasty but don't be fooled, it wasn't overly spicy, even I would enjoy it as my entree, but I enjoyed the Black Angus Flat Iron Steak, cooked as ordered!!!! Tasty fries as a side and the 'roasted brussels sprouts' seemed more sautéed but they were still okay. The Havana Coconut cocktail I sampled was delicious but my iced tea was old. More of a beer place I guess. We enjoyed our dinner and would return!! By the way, Sedona is located in a quaint location in downtown Fredericksburg thus, there's not a lot of convenient parking but the walk is pleasant.
google avatar

Yelp
Came for my husband he is a beer lover The food was okay - the grilled chicken was a little dry The mashed potatoes were fair My husband loved his Penni blacked chicken pasta Nicole was our server. We waited for her a few times. I'm her defense she is pregnant. This would be a great place to meet friends

Yelp
My thanks and appreciation to Sedona tonight. We chose to celebrate Veterans Day here and you all didn't disappoint. Everyone from the hostesses to our server were outstanding! A special shout out to our server Cori F who provided above and beyond great service and was extremely professional and friendly our entire visit. We had the nachos, flat iron and surf&turf and it was all amazing! We also always love the ambiance and atmosphere! Thank you so much to Sedona for the amazing experience as always!

Yelp
After 400 miles of traveling we slipped in at the bar on busy Saturday night. My husband loved his locally brewed Mustang Sally IPA and I was in heaven with a citrusy sangria. We both enjoyed the fresh seared Ahi tuna, asparagus & spinach. I also ordered the strawberry beet salad. This is my favorite salad when dining out, but all too often there's too much dressing and the pecans are overly sugary. Not the case tonight - absolutely delightful. Terrific service too.

Yelp
The food was pretty good. The portions served are large. Booths are sizable which, good for families. It feels like a slightly upscale Chilis.

Yelp
well, used a gift for dinner and ordered a filet mignon. literally had been coated with nasty cigar ashes and cooked in them. tried cutting off the wnds but still had bad flavor. horrrrible stinch anf flavor. got sick. scared to return it so i had to take home and throw it out! what a waste! save your money or better uet go to farenheight. waaaay better!
