Chef Doug Turbush Is Closing Drift Fish House and Oyster Bar at Avenue East Cobb | Eater Atlanta

"A sibling concept located at Merchant’s Walk on Johnson Ferry Road, this restaurant has been successful and will begin hosting the other venue’s cocktail dinner series starting in January; it may also run the popular summer patio Pop’s Lobster Shack pop-up. Aight dawg this place is pretty legit. The food is good and you can tell the cook actually knows how to do their job. The restaurant is very cute inside and semi-upscale. I would say it's expensive for the portion sizes for sure, but honestly anyone that lives in this area doesn't care about cost so it doesn't matter. It was $90 for two people tho if that helps. I would def recommend this place for like a nice dinner or fancy brunch with friends. All the employees were extremely kind!!! The drink menu is very extensive and the Plate of the Day option sounded really good even tho i didnt get that. There aren't that many menu options but all of the things ON the menu looked RLLYYYYY GOOD. So trust and believe whatever you get will taste decent. If you're into sandwiches and that kind of thing

As usual this place does not disappoint. The duck was amazing. The beef tartar was a tasty app. The cocktails are on point. The patio is enclosed with heaters and has super cute and festive Christmas lights up and there is a special menu you can order from. This place has become a neighborhood staple will always recommend 10/10

First time here. Will definitely return. Started with the hummus which was excellent. Beet salad exceptional. Hubby enjoyed the peach salad and sockeye salmon. My crab cake was good can’t say it was memorable. Just a good crab cake. except the salad on top was excellent. Our server Carmen was very helpful and attentive.

Google
Absolutely fantastic service and delicious food! Carmen was my server and she was one of the kindest and most accommodating waitresses I’ve ever had the pleasure of being served by. The whole staff feels like one big family who truly cares about the restaurant and its story. As a Muslim I loved how many seafood options there were. Get the signature pan-roasted blue cod and the lemon mascarpone cheesecake. Both absolutely delicious and worth every penny. I’ll be back as soon as I can, God willing!

Atmosphere was great, good ambience, great service and communication by our camarrera Naya, Shoutout to her. We got served Smaller food portions than I would have liked but I guess I'm different, lol! On the bright side, Our food was really tasty.

Google
Every time I dine here the quality of the food and service is outstanding. The servers are very knowledgeable about the menu and what goes into each dish. The food is absolutely delicious, highly recommend the salmon.

Google
Is this place worth the hyped?! I’d say no. They definitely have some standouts on the menu, from the Schnitzel to the Korean Short Rib, to the the Fritters, but they were not stars. As I way value against flavor profile, these dishes were way overpriced and over cooked. Both the short rib and the Schnitzel were dry even though that aspect was trying to hide behind the mashed potatoes or the mustard sauce. That was disappointing especially considering the price point. I could have heated up a frozen schnitzel from Costco and had a pretty similar tasted and texture. Now if there is one absolute stunner on the menu, it is their Tres Leches cake. Oh my gosh! Somehow they’ve mastered one of the great Latin American desserts. It was soaked in cream and milk yet somehow the cake itself was firmer in texture yet still permeated with that wonderful creamy sauce. It was accompanied by some fresh berries. It was the winner! Now the restaurant is fine with its open air design yet we were stuffed with our family in some side room around a junky corner with some tacky decorations. We did not enjoy that part. I’m sure the wine bar is good, but the full restaurant experience is not worth it.

Google
Seed Kitchen and Bar has been around East Cobb for a long time. This says a lot because restaurants come and go here very quickly, even chain restaurants don't make it for too long in this area. Seed has a great menu, which I will post the current one in the images of my review below. They also have fantastic cocktails with an unusual twist and a very nice wine list. I will be honest I don't ask for or want a menu when I go in because there's only one item on the menu that I get, and that's the Asian fish sandwich. My wife and I cook quite a bit and so when we go out to eat we like to get things that we typically won't make it home. This sandwich is one of those. They have many seasonal cocktails to choose from, as well as your traditional favorites. Their seasonal cocktails have homemade syrups and herbs that complement the liquor that is used in that particular drink. During our most recent visit, our server Nallely had a great knowledge of both the drink menu and food menu. She was very attentive without being overbearing and had a phenomenal personality for the restaurant business. If you're looking for a tasty and unique menu to dine from, then Seed Kitchen and Bar will not disappoint.

Yelp
Portion were enormous. My DIL chose this eatery and we were not disappointed. I do wish you lunch time was longer (i.e. till 3pm). I had surgery and my appetite was small and had to take the rest of my BLT home with me. Thanks

Yelp
We had a wonderful visit to Seed this evening to celebrate a couple of birthdays. At the beginning of the evening there was a mix-up that led to a delay in getting our order taken, but once they realized it, they went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make it right. The service after that was excellent. The food was wonderful. Some of the stand-outs: WHITE CORN GRIT FRITTERS - creamy balls of delight HANGER STEAK FRITES - my son loved these. Our waitress recommended trying a jalapeño cream sauce for dipping the fries & the combo was a wonder. MISO MAPLE GLAZED SCALLOPS - perfectly cooked. A well constructed plate where the flavors complimented each other beautifully. BUTTERNUT SQUASH AGNOLOTTI - an excellent chose for the flavors of early fall CHARRED SPICE BABY CARROTS - my 13yo liked them so much he asked for a list of the spices so he could try to replicate the blend CHOCOLATE PEANUT BUTTER TORTE -wonderfully rich. If you like peanut butter pie, this will not disappoint. CARAMEL APPLE BREAD PUDDING - another great fall flavor. Not too sweet & the cinnamon ice cream was a treat LEMON MASCARPONE CHEESECAKE - about as light as a cheesecake could be. The lemon was present without overpowering. The blueberry compote complimented it well. POMEGRANATE GINGER ALE- my 13yo would have ordered this by the pitcher if we had let him. My thanks to everyone involved in preparing and serving our meal. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
East Cobb - can we all agree that Seed is sliding quickly downhill from its prime?! So many people love this place - or rather love the idea of what this place used to be. I've dined here over a dozen times since its inception and admittedly, I've never left overwhelmingly impressed, but things have gotten worse. In my most recent visit, the cod, claimed to be flavored by some kind of Thai herb vinaigrette was so flavorless that the only thing I could taste was the awkward red onions hastily plated underneath the fish. Nothing special. Nothing memorable for $34. Daughter ordered a kid's cheeseburger. And I know kids menus are kids menus, but it was the DRIEST bun and patty I've ever tasted. Is this how they treat their $23 Merchant Burger? If yes, that's a disappointing burger. If no, why not take pride in ALL of your dishes? Cocktails were all way too sweet. Old fashioned was overpowered by some kind of syrupy mess. Worst of all, the bathroom. You can tell a lot about how a restaurant is cared for by the way they treat (or don't treat) a bathroom. Doors were broken and many rusted. Dirty. Clearly once decorated about 15 years ago and left forgotten. I hate to leave such a negative review of Seed, but it is clear they've been hanging in some wilted laurels as of late.

Yelp
Just sat down to give Seed a second chance after a bad experience a few years ago--when my party left upset, our server in tears, and the manager made everything worse with a defensive, confrontational attitude. But this afternoon ? Totally different. The vibe is 100% better. Staff is warm, welcoming, and present. Whatever changed (hopefully the management), it shows. Hoping the food matches the energy this time.

Yelp
Another lovely meal at Seed. It's our anniversary and we already had dinner plans so we decide to do an early lunch at Seed. Seed is always a good choice and today was no exception. I ordered the fish sandwich with a cup of the best clam chowder I've ever had! The cod was perfectly cooked and the sandwich was delicious. (Be sure to have them leave off the cilantro if you don't like it.) My husband ordered the chicken salad sandwich on grilled bread and he loved it. He's quite picky about his chicken salad but this really made him happy. The service was as amazing as ever, and the manager made sure to check on every table. Seed is such a pretty restaurant and a lovely choice for an anniversary. The manager surprised us with a piece of their tres leches cake with fresh whipped cream and berries. So good! Parking is ample and the food is always on point!

Yelp
E X P E R I E N C E We came as a group of four on a Sunday night around 6:00 p.m. we did have a reservation but it wasn't necessary as the restaurant was probably 25% full F O O D merchant burger: 1/2 lb, carmelized onion, white cheddar, oven dried, French fries, add bacon Pan seared bay of fundy salmon: melted leeks, truffles vinaigrette, sub parmesan garlic fries Roasted beet salad: Pistachios, pomegranate, arugula, orange goat cheese, fennel, add salmon Chicken schnitzel: miso mustard , over dried tomato, arugula Brussel sprouts I was a little taken aback that my salmon was smaller than my friends salmon that she added onto her salad, but nonetheless the food was incredible. The chicken schnitzel sauce was A+ and I don't even like chicken like that. The brussel sprouts were delectable. It's a must order. There's a little sour sweet twist to the near perfectly burnt Brussels. Wow. S E R V I C E Alex was fantastic. Friendly. Courteous. Food came out quickly. Personable. P R I C E 137 + tax = 146 = 30 tip

Yelp
Enjoyed a great dinner on a girls night out. Our waitress was fabulous, she described all of the entrees, and it was hard to make a decision as they all sounded fabulous. We had the calamari as an appetizer and I can truly say it was one of the best I've ever had! That sauce, whats in that sauce?? I had never had a sauce like that, it was so delicious. For dinner my friends had the cod. They liked it. I had the hanger steak - also very good (big portion). We all loved the parmesan fries. Give this place a try! You wont regret it!
google avatar

Dave S.

Yelp
The appetizer was a complete waste of money. $16 for four little balls of "grit fritters", but other than that, the meal was excellent, and the service was good. I recommend the place other than the overpriced appetizers. Ambiance was a bit loud and uncomfortable, a bit cramped. Overall, though, a great experience. The Happy Anniversary menus and card were delightful and appreciated.

Yelp
If you're in East Cobb, Seed Kitchen & Bar is our go-to spot for lunch and dinner. I come here often because... The menu is consistently delicious. You must try the white corn grit fritters as an appetizer. I didn't order this time because there's four to a serving and I was alone. Reservations for lunch and dinner are always available. Walk-ins are also welcomed, but there's always a crowd here. The staff are incredibly efficient and friendly. Always. I have never had a bad service experience or anything close to it. The ambiance is the only thing I don't love, but it's okay. Seed is intimate, but very loud. I took a picture of my latest lunch. I picked the daily special, which includes small portions of a sandwich (pulled pork pictured), salad (this one with bacon Parmesan) and soup (butternut squash with toasted pumpkin seeds). It changes daily as the name implies. Parking is tighter with the new Marshall's, but really never a problem.

Yelp
After searching for a farm to table restaurant we found Seed. Their menu options appeared to be what we were looking for and so we went there for lunch in celebration of our 10th wedding anniversary. The experience was wonderful: the service was impeccable. Our waiter was very attentive but not invasive. The food was wonderful: we had the crustini appetizer, the cod and pumpkin ravioli. The ambiance was open, calm and inviting. In addition, the staff presented us with a card and mentioned our special day on the menu. A very thoughtful gesture! We topped off our meal with a piece of Tres leche cake: yummy!!! We would highly recommend this restaurant for a celebration!

Yelp
What a delicious meal! I stopped by for lunch, and everything I had was absolutely amazing. The service was attentive and spot-on. I chose to sit outside, and the covered patio was perfectly cozy--not too hot or too chilly. I ordered the Haywood Turkey Sandwich, and I'm still thinking about it as I write this review. The bread was perfect, the sandwich was toasted to perfection, and the flavors were incredible with avocado and cheddar. I also had the parmesan garlic fries and wow --no artificial tangy truffle taste here, just fresh garlic and parmesan goodness. For dessert, I tried the tres leches cake, which was so moist but not too heavy and rich. It was a refreshing and comforting meal. I'll definitely be coming back whenever I'm in the area and spreading the word about this hidden gem. Highly recommend if you're looking for a casual yet thoughtfully crafted dining experience!

Yelp
One of my favorite restaurants. chef driven menu, great wait staff. I mean I literally can never decide what I wanna get when I eat here which is on a pretty regular basis. Great signature cocktails as well. highly recommend the smoked chicken tacos, the deviled eggs, the salads and the salmon.
google avatar

Jennifer H.

Yelp
The food is good and most of the staff is very friendly. But on more than one occasion I have had the same two bartenders flat out ignore me. It makes it worse when the other patrons have to call them out on it.

Yelp
Excellent food at Seed! We had the grit fritters, lamb loin and pork chop!! So incredible. Carmen really took care of us! I had a nice gin drink with ginger and bitters - so refreshing. The lamb was cooked to med rare perfections and I loved the za'atar is like an herby delish thang! The israeli couscous, ellijay mushrooms, fava beans, baby carrots, chermoula, herb yogurt were a match made in heaven. It came highly recommended by our server as well as the hickory-smoked pork chop. The polenta, greens and red wine reduction were so smooth!

Yelp
Place has a great Sunday brunch. We go over after church some weeks. Food is fabulous, staff is great, great atmosphere and prices are sky high. If you don't want to drop some coin, go to Waffle House. The customers in the store didn't appear to mind dropping coin. Perfect for the Yuppies.

Merrie L.

Yelp
The food and ambiance were great! Service was A+! I intend to return, but it's off of our beaten path, and we haven't had an occasion to return yet. I do recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Great food, great drinks, great service! Had an awful experience at Marlows, so I decided to check this place out. Glad I did! This will be my new go-to when I'm in this part of town. The lovely Lady behind the bar Kristen made our day! We had a delicious Prosecco Elderberry with a lemon twist. So yummy! She also gave me a taste of their Moscow mule they have on tap. So good! They have an amazing cocktail list. We'd had a few bites of an appetizer at Marlows, so we were not hungry. All the food came out and looked amazing! Atmosphere was bright and airy. Everyone happy. The bar stools were so comfortable and made put of real high-grade leather. My friend and I decided this would be our go-to spot when I come to visit. Looking forward to one of their wine dinners or tastings!

Louise A.

Yelp
Wonderful service and delicious food. The peach salad on the specials menu is not always available but it is a must have! I dearly want the recipe! Does anyone have it??

Annie M.

Yelp
This place is absolutely delicious! A must try in my opinion We came on my birthday and everything was perfect. The staff were so friendly and told me happy birthday! They even gave me a card they all signed & a menu with a happy birthday, Annie, just for the occasion. Literally top notch We tried the corn grit fritters upon our servers recommendation and they were positively tasty. Very impressive. We also got calamari which tasted fresh & crispy! For entrees, we got the braised short rib & the salmon. My husband just about licked his plate clean of the salmon with the truffled potatoes. I loved the short rib! It was so tender and the sauce was tangy and flavorful. They gave me a tres leches cake for my birthday and I was so full but honestly it was the best tres leches I've ever tried so I found some room for it... Super moist & creamy & sweet. I'm drooling just remembering it. They have plenty of parking in the strip mall parking lot Well definitely be back to try more items!

Yelp
Food is pretty good my issue was how long it took for us to get the food. Once my brother raised awareness to the woman that brought out our appetizer the entire attitude of their team switched. The server got really angry and literally snatched silverware out of my hand as I was handing it to him. Everyone at the table was in shock. Why did it take an hr for the food to come out if we didn't order anything but a few salad type dishes and 2 sandwiches? The hostess and the server (ours atleast) were so mad that we questioned the time or how long it was taking because we were in a rush to go to another place. I wouldn't come here again but hey atleast the food is decent.
google avatar

Nicole L.

Yelp
Make a reservation or you will be sitting out side which is fine if the weather is good. The place is really nice and the food is Good but the prices are off the chart. 12 bucks for kids burger (tiny). Our meal was 100 bucks and we did not order drinks or alcohol. It really is just unreasonable. Maybe it is inflation but I think we will find a cheaper place next time, 30 bucks for 8 Ravioli blows my mind.
google avatar

Angela B.

Yelp
It's rare that I take the time to review a restaurant a second time, but my second visit to Seed Kitchen & Bar was even better than the first. I left feeling completely satiated. I loved the smoked chicken tacos and the flavor of the ravioli in a burnt butter sauce was amazing! Well done Seed Kitchen & Bar! I'm looking forward to making my way through more of their menu.
google avatar

J. M.

Yelp
Four stars based on my usual experience. The food is consistently good, but there's nothing I've had there that I'd classify as great. I like the schnitzel and the calamari. But I wanted to write this review because there aren't any discussing the brunch chicken and waffles. I love chicken and waffles and was encouraged by the description of "hot honey chicken." The beauty of chicken and waffles is that it has the savory chicken the sweet waffle and syrup. But I found this dish to be mostly inedible. The chicken was pretty good, but very rich and I tasted no hot and no honey. The cheddar and chives in the waffle was overwhelming. It was extremely rich, and I couldn't eat it even by itself. So rich on rich just wasn't a good combination. I gave my wife a bite of the waffle; she liked it enough that I asked them to box up my leftovers. They went away and never came back. I gave up and left.

Yelp
Very high quality food and service. Easy to make a reservation online and we were promptly seated upon arriving. Not a chain, and the pride of independent ownership shows through in the quality of the food and service. Chicken schnitzel, scallops, and salmon were all amazing. You want a good quality meal? Try this place!

Yelp
Everything was great. Service, ambiance, and food. Their hummus is extraordinary. We look forward to our next meal there.

Yelp
Yummy meals and great service! Gluten-free options too! Delivery option is appreciated for those nights when you don't feel like cooking but want an excellent meal.

Yelp
The vegetable plate, chicken schnitzel and hanger steak are my go tos. A favorite amongst our friends.

Yelp
Wonderful lunchtime or dinner in East Cobb. Have never had a bad meal. All the servers are great, especially Carmine. Make reservations and be sure to let them know if it's a special occasion. Clean. Comfortable. Can't wait till Fall weather arrives so we can eat on the lovely patio Be sure to make a reservation

Pam C.

Yelp
Great service and great dinner! The lobster roll sandwich was delicious as was the salmon!
google avatar

Greta Z.

Yelp
Seed may actually be my favorite restaurant in the area. I love the ambiance and the menu. I'd give them five stars except that not all dishes are created equal. I've tried at least six entrees, and my husband and I end up playing a game of "You won!" And the other person sits sulking that he didn't order the best dish of the night. When in doubt, go with whatever ravioli is on the menu; it's always spectacular. We were excited by the anniversary tasting menu, and it was good but not great. Memorably delicious were the steak tartare, the ravioli per usual, and the blueberry cheesecake. Everything else was fine. The Maleficent cocktail tasted exactly like apple cider. I'll keep coming back, but I know what I'm ordering!
google avatar

Lenora S.

Yelp
The best of high brow and quiet lunch. Met here for a girls meet up. They ask at the door for a reservation. We didn't have one. We were sat immediately. Hands down one of the best waiters I've ever encountered. Courteous, gracious, and sweet. If that's not enough to draw you in, the food was marvelous. I'll go into detail the next time I visit. Embrace a mindful and oasis place for a meal.

Yelp
I owe this place a new review. I was told that I needed to check this place out for dinner instead of brunch so I did just that. A friend and I came in a few months ago without reservations. We were lucky enough to snag seats at the bar. Our servers were attentive and provided recommendable customer service. We decided to try a number of items. We tried the following items: 1. deviled eggs ( house smoked salmon, jalapeño cream, pickled onion, capers). 2. Corn grit fitters ( jalapeño pepper jelly, thomasville tomme) 3. Smoked chicken tacos ( pimento polenta, chipotle lime créma, red pepper, radish, cilantro) 4. A sweet potatoe pasta dish. When I tell you that this was a memorable experience in a great way! Everything we had was simply amazing! We were honestly taking about this place weeks after dinning here. I am so glad I gave this spot another try following a mediocre brunch experience. In addition to the food being good, the staff at the bar are nothing short of amazing! Great interaction! I would highly recommend checking this spot out for dinner. Reservations are strongly encouraged!

Cara E.

Yelp
We had brunch at Seed with some friends. It was our first time there, and we enjoyed it. The restaurant is located in a strip mall, so I wasn't exactly sure what to expect, but it is really nice inside. We ordered two appetizers: the pimento cheese crostini and the deviled eggs. The pimento crostinis were my favorite by far! The table really liked the deviled eggs, but I personally prefer a plain deviled egg. I ordered a glass of the freshly squeezed orange juice, and for $5, I was pleasantly surprised with the size. It was tasty! I wish I would have ordered a mimosa after tasting the orange juice :) We were seated next to the counter that dishes that were ready were placed, and everything that we saw looked good! I wanted to try the French toast, but I ultimately chose the farmer's breakfast. The grits and sourdough toast were delicious! I definitely want to go back and try other dishes for brunch, lunch, and dinner.

Yelp
Great East Cobb establishment. Great place for anniversary, birthday or chillax'in Don't forget to check out Seed.

Yelp
Seed's strong reputation stands with reason. Service is phenomenal as servers are quick and helpful. Food-wise, Seed doesn't disappoint yet the only thing that surprised me is the small amount of steak on the steak frites. While it is made up for with the plethora of fries, don't be shocked when you see it. I tried the cornbread and calamari, both being satisfactory and everything you'd expect. The steak frites are pretty average yet still good. I got a hint of a smoky flavor from the steak which I enjoyed, but overall nothing mind blowing or unique. For dessert, I received a complimentary skillet cookie and tres leches for my birthday. Both were phenomenal and while the tres leches isn't necessarily authentic it is still enjoyable. Overall, Seed is definitely a gem and I can see why it is highly regarded in East Cobb.

Yelp
I mean this is truly the only 5 star experience in East Cobb. I wish we had more like this...but alas. Top notch delicacy, great staff, and wine pairing. If you are looking to splurge, this is the only fine dining experience to visit in the EC.
google avatar

Yelp
I had a chance to check out Seed Kitchen and Bar for dinner Saturday night. My girlfriend recommended we check it out since she had heard good things. We didn't have a reservation but there were open seats at the bar which was fine for us. Our bartender was really good and gave us recommendations on popular cocktails and food dishes. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer and it was really good with the sauce. For my entree, I ordered the Springer Mt. Farms Chicken Schnitzel which appears to be a very popular dish here. It was great! The chicken was seasoned very well and I like the salad on top of it with the sauce. It gave a healthy dish vibe. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice as well. I would come back and try their brunch and other dinner options.

Will M.

Yelp
It's a favorite in the EC neighborhood. Stellar service and taste. Try the Deviled Eggs, White Corn Fritters, and Chicken Schnitzel. Been many times.

Yelp
To start, best place in East Cobb and top 5 in Atlanta. The whole staff serviced the dining room with exceptional speed and efficiency. The food is created to excite the senses and wow the imagination. It was truly an honor to be served by this team and if you're around the area or even in Atlanta visiting, please don't miss out coming here. Thank you, Andrew Cohen

Yelp
Completely forgot to take pictures of the food, but trust when I say everything was delicious. Because of the food, my rating went from a 3 star review to a 4 star one. Reservations: I was joining for a friend's birthday. The wife did make reservations ahead of time. I'm not entirely sure if it's 100% necessary, but I would recommend it just to be on the safe side. Parking: There is ample free parking, as it is located in a pretty big shopping center. Food: Goodness - the food was delicious. Our table ordered apps, entrees, and dessert. I tried the crostini, the fritters, the Korean Short Rib, the Maple Bourbon Crème Brûlée, and the Peanut Butter Chocolate parfait. Literally all of it was incredible. The prices are kind of high but recognizing they try to source all their ingredients locally helps with that. Their menu changes seasonally to keep up with what ingredients are in season. Drinks: I ordered the mule and it was delicious. I could've kept drinking it all night (if only I didn't have to drive back home). They have a variety of cocktails, wines, and more. Everyone at the table seemed to really enjoy their beverages. Vibe: Our waiter was super nice and attentive. He shared his top picks from the menu and I just loved his attitude. What I really didn't like (and the reason I originally thought this would be a 3 star review), the tables are fairly close together. It was a tight squeeze for the wait staff to go by and I thought surely they would find another route once I sat down. Some did; some didn't. My chair kept getting knocked into the entire night. I wasn't thrilled. The chair itself was scoot as close to the table as I could, and it didn't feel the most sturdy so I was nervous trying to even scoot it closer. Also, the lighting is pretty dim in the space and I personally wasn't a big fan of that but some people may like that. Overall, I probably won't be going back anytime soon. But the food and my drink were so good I'll probably return at some point.

Yelp
Always a treat to dine at Seed! Delicious food and fabulous wines and desserts ! Convenient East Cobb location and service is terrific. We recommend Seed for lunch or dinner.

Yelp
Quick Tips: Make a reservation, Expect to pay a decent amount, and Ask the Server for suggestions! My husband brought me here for date night. It is an upscale casual vibe so you don't have to get all glammed, but you don't look out of place if you do. It also seemed pretty crowded and we did an early dinner so I'm glad we had a reservation. Started with the Rosy and Mary cocktail- it was delicious. Kind of like a light liquor old fashioned. We got the Crispy Calamari as a starter. It was a good portion and had good flavor, but a bit overpriced in my opinion. I asked the waitress for some suggestions because there were so many delicious things to choose from. I'm a sucker for Risotto anyways and the Scallops did not disappoint. My husband got the special entree - Crab and Lobster Spaghetti. It was good but not incredible and WAY overpriced for the amount of meat you get. That's why I say ask before you pick just to make sure. Our server was honest and helped steering me in the right direct to something I would enjoy.

Yelp
5 Stars Yes! I'm a regular yepper and this is a first in a while I get to brag a 5 star! We found their Fathers Day Lobster Roll special thanks for Facebook! My husband is from New England and he was no at all disappointed with their Maine style LRoll! As a matter of fact, He said "give this place 5 stars!" The bread was soft and perfectly grilled! The lobster was falling out of the sandwich! The size looked small at first but after the very last bite, it was PERFECT! We so enjoyed every bite! Hubby had the chips which were crunchy and I had the fries which were hand cut and hot! Even the pickle was perfect! It had just the right bite to it! The service was friendly and on point! Daniel filled our tea and water and we LOVED the sweetener delivered to the table which we got to sweeten are own tea! Fancy we were so happy with the entire meal we split the cookie sundae which came to the table hot with the ice cream melting, delish!!!! I mean absolutely yummy We celebrated Father's Day and this was the perfect stop! We drove from Canton but it was so worth it! Oh, they even have a table holder for your purse The food was as fresh as the decor! Hats off! You guys nailed it!!!!

Yelp
I was visiting the area, and this restaurant came highly recommended. We absolutely loved our appetizer, the corn grits fritters. They were absolutely delicious! The Parmesan garlic fries were also delicious. Our table of four split two plates of them! I ordered sweet potato ravioli, and it was heavenly! Another diner at my table had salmon and asparagus, and said it was perfectly cooked. Another dining companion of mine had the crispy fish tacos. I was able to sample one. They were also pretty yummy. Our waiter was prompt and courteous without being overbearing. The restaurant wise beautiful inside. I would definitely return!

Yelp
My husband and I have been dining at Drift Fish house and Oyster bar for a couple of years now and figured we would have a similar good experience with their sister restaurant. We tried Seed Kitchen and Bar for the first time at the height of the pandemic when everything we ordered was basically to go and the food was ok. We ended up trying Seed again more recently since our food experience was decent but not on the level of Drift that first time. So this time we ordered to go . The Food was ready on time and brought out to our car. We ordered the calamari, which was ok, nothing to write home about. I don't mean to keep comparing but Drift has the best Calamari that we have ever had so Seed should probably adapt that same recipe. My husband had the Bay of Fundry Salmon which came over mashed potatoes, it was cooked well and quite tasty. The sauce that came with the meal was different, I wasn't a fan of the sauce. I had the Pan Roasted blue cod with caramelized brussels sprouts & cauliflower, and thai herb vinaigrette. My fish was excellent, it was fresh and cooked to perfection. The veggies were well made and tasty. The sauce was different, it didn't taste bad had a nasty smell. Overall the food that I have tried here is ok. I have not dined inside so can't comment on the atmosphere, but it looks nice.

Yelp
The hostess and manager were arguing while I stood In Front of them for several minutes waiting to be greeted. The server never introduced herself or explained the menu and was very rude. The food was overpriced but tasted good. The server was totally absent until time for the check and then she turned on the charm. I will not be going back.

Yelp
Service at the bar was excellent. My wife wanted to order the swordfish after it was recommended by two different groups sitting nearby. Sold out at 7pm. The calamari I ordered as a starter was mediocre and the nearby groups told me 3 different restaurants that had outstanding calamari so they maybe they tried it too. And at $16, it better be great. My fish, of fish and chips, was way over cooked.

Yelp
A delight. Good service. Fresh food. Good menu. Well prepared. The calamari appetizer was outstanding. I had the scallops. Perfectly cooked. And for dessert the pumpkin creme brûlée was amazing. Give it a try. You won't be sorry
