⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I ordered the Panini #4 and it was absolutely perfect — hearty, fresh, and packed with flavor. The bread had just the right crispness, and every bite felt balanced and satisfying without being too heavy. To pair it, I tried the Agave Lavender Matcha and wow — such a calming, smooth drink with a subtle floral note from the lavender that blended beautifully with the matcha. The touch of agave added the perfect natural sweetness. It felt like a little wellness ritual in a cup. Overall, Seeds never disappoints — fresh ingredients, creative flavors, and a vibe that makes you want to linger a little longer in SLO.

Stopped in for lunch while visiting SLO and I’m glad I did! This is a great little spot with a clean, healthy menu. They offer Toasts, Paninis, Health Bowls, and a few other options. I ordered Toast 1 with a side salad. It was a light, healthy choice with great flavor — I’d definitely get it again. Overall: friendly service, relaxed vibe, and very clean. If you’re in SLO and looking for a healthy meal, I definitely recommend checking this place out!

Google
It has an okay environment, I preferred the tables outside, music was okay, a little loud probably because I sat right under the speaker. The food was good, without milk, so my toast #6 didn’t have cheese and my smoothie #6. Both of them together wasn’t good in my opinion, too much green for my taste apparently. I will try again their smoothies not the toasts, it wasn’t tasty without the sauce. Sauce was great. The poppi drink was good, something new to try for me. The service I receive was ordering and then the food was brought to me. Not much to go on and not social interaction was involved.

I got an açaí bowl for the first time here and the base of it tasted weird. It was similar to the taste of fridge water, I didn’t taste any of the açaí flavor. I ate only the fruit on top which where good, I just couldn’t eat the smoothie base. I’ve only gotten their smoothie #6 which is really good, but their bowls didn’t meet the same expectations

Google
I went to this place for the first time today hoping for a good experience. I was very disappointed in the service. I had ordered a $13 smoothie. it sat on the counter for five minutes before our other food came out, and they did not tell us that our food was ready. Minutes later, I saw them walk out food to another person. Since our food was stacked poorly, we ended up dropping and spilling the smoothie all over. I went up and asked for napkins. They gave me a small stack to clean up a whole smoothie. Me and my boyfriend were on the ground trying to clean it up for 15 minutes and they offered no help. One of the workers even wiped down the table next to us that was completely clean with the wet rag and walked right past us offering no help. The only thing they did was restock the napkins station multiple times after we had to clean up our smoothie. they continue to stare at us from behind the counter and ignore us and do nothing about it, even though they clearly saw us. we will never be coming back. Worst customer service ever. Also, they never apologized or offered us another smoothie after we cleaned up the entire mess for them.

If you are craving some feel good food, I highly recommend this place. This lunch was the perfect fuel and energy I needed before our hike. They have vegan options. It’s a very hip place so you may even make a friend. My girl and I will definitely be back.

Google
Employees are really nice. My first time there so I love how the place looks both inside and outside. My order was delicious🫶:)

Google
Paid 13 dollars for a strawberry matcha. The girl making it was taking her sweet time making it, talking to those around her and I saw her grab the whisk with her hand before putting it in my drink, hopefully her hands were clean. I was utterly disappointed after taking the first sip, I had high hopes for a 13 dollar drink.

Yelp
Good Healthy Fresh Food! Good Service and Atmosphere. Hard to find good food like this and know it is good for you as well.

Yelp
I ordered two flatbreads, generous portions, served hot and fresh, and absolutely delicious. The acai bowl was a bit basic and not very sweet; minimal honey and granola left it feeling more like pure açaí than a balanced bowl. The matcha latte followed the same theme, not too sweet, but really smooth and refreshing. Ordering was a breeze with the self-serve kiosks, and the open indoor-outdoor setup gives off relaxed SLO vibes, perfect for a sunny breakfast or casual lunch. Would definitely come back for the flatbreads alone!

Yelp
Breakfast/brunch place downtown SLO in an alley just off Higuera Street with indoor and outdoor seating. Order at the counter and then place your number on a table and food comes out to you. Great selection - açaí bowl was perfect size. Avocado toast had a generous portion of sprouts. Panini was good, could have been toasted a little more. Seating options inside or outside with plenty of umbrellas and shade. We went on a Saturday late morning and they had a DJ playing music that was so loud we couldn't hold a conversation inside. Was a little better outside but still too loud. It was Family Weekend for Cal Poly so maybe that was why they had the DJ. Probably will go back the next time we are here.

Yelp
Seeds is always reliable and delivers with a delicious, fresh açaí bowl. Their location is so cute in the brick courtyard with nice outdoor seating - a great spot for a sunny day. The service is fast and reliable. I love the classic, bowl 1, with all the toppings it comes with. Love how they have the option to add protein powder, too. I always love stopping by Seeds for a bowl when back in SLO town!

Yelp
Came here for lunch with my parents. It's a fast casual place where you order at the counter, find a seat, and then they bring you your food. There is outdoor and indoor seating, and the service was good. The sandwich was good, but a bit pricey for what you get. The flatbread was excellent and more worth the price imo than the sandwich.
google avatar

Iris H.

Yelp
This place has a cute outdoor seating area and their menu offers tons of light and healthy breakfast/brunch. I really enjoyed the smoothies #5 (contains coconut water, pitaya, strawberry, coconut banana... etc). It's light and not too thick in consistency for a smoothie.

Delaney A.

Yelp
Everything about this place is excellent!! The food options, staff, and cleanliness of the seating area and bathrooms especially blew me away. It's so satisfying and never fails me. I always bring family and friends here when they visit and will keep coming back. Keep up the good work, looooove the matcha btw :)
google avatar

Valentina B.

Yelp
lots of seating!!!!! The food options look incredible although i didn't try any on this stop in, the smoothies were okay (i got the mango blend not sure the exact name), very $$$ especially if you add protein etc. Employees were all very kind and welcoming, can't wait to try more options next time I'm in town!
google avatar

Yelp
Was in search of matcha and saw this place has a collab with lululemon matcha menu. We ordered a coconut matcha and one of the best I had! The sweetness was perfection, the coconut taste was there and can still taste the matcha. I need the recipe now.
google avatar

Justine D.

Yelp
Everything was pretty darn good here... but the croissant sandwich was exceptional! We got the number 1 and it was so flaky and flavorful without being greasy. There was an abundance of seating. They had the garage door open so it was super chilly. The açaí bowl wasn't bad... a little too much ice and not as much flavor as others that I've had... but not bad.

Yelp
I've been here a couple of times now and the food has been really good. It's got a "healthy hipster" vibe, which can be cool, as they have an indoor/outdoor patio with both communal and private tables. I've always ordered from the kiosk when you first walk in, and had my food brought to me. Service has been limited but always friendly. Overall it's expensive and this last time I was in there the music was cranked up loud and made it a little difficult to relax. Otherwise, I'll probably be back, but maybe not during peak hours.

Yelp
A girlfriend and I stopped in here for a pre-hike meal during a recent girls' weekend in SLO. This place is everything I could ever want in a restaurant. Sunlit and airy interiors, with healthy and delicious food and matcha. I found myself forcing myself to order a salad. It's so rare that I enjoy a salad. When I received my salad here, I was blown away at how flavorful and delicious it was. The produce was so fresh. It might have been one of the best salads I have ever eaten. If I lived in SLO I would come here once or twice a week.

Yelp
Three of us girls picked this place to meet for a brunch. It is a nice and clean shop with indoor and outdoor seating. You can either place your order at the self service kiosk or work with the counter team to place your order. They offered self service water which was fine for us. The foods they offered were definitely on the healthier side with many meal options available under "Toast" and "Salad" sections. They also offered Bagel and Croissant sandwiches which had the egg and bacon style options. The food was tasty and so delicious! This felt like clean eating, which was a nice change as I was traveling and hadn't found many restaurants with such fresh options. We all enjoyed our meals and would come back.

Yelp
Seeds is adorable! Everyone there is so kind and attentive! I often find myself at seeds and the food is always amazing and I love their lattes! Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a cute, clean place to eat!
google avatar

Yelp
Seeds is such a great healthy option in downtown SLO to grab a bite! Their smoothies and açaí bowls are absolutely delicious, and some of the best I've had! I most recently tried their panini 3 with chicken, veggies and chipotle aioli and it was amazing! They have delicious options for flatbread pizzas, salad and bowls as well! The service is always friendly and efficient, which is always extra nice! I love this place so much and highly recommend it, especially if you're looking for a healthy spot to grab breakfast or lunch.

Yelp
Had breakfast here; love the clean, modern environment. Ordering is quick and easy because of the great overhead menus, and the food came out quickly even though it was fairly busy. We had the Toast 1( avocado toast with egg and chili flakes) and the Toast 5(avocado toast with smoked salmon, capers) and both were absolutely delicious! My only pet peeve with any type of avocado toast is that it should be toasted--crunchy, golden brown toasted, and neither of our bread was really toasted. Otherwise, it was so good! Since it was raining we were inside, and there was a large table of women celebrating something, which was nice, but they were so loud that we couldn't have a conversation. Just an FYI that the ambient noise can be a bit much at times. I've always sat outside in the past. This is a great option for a healthy meal with fresh ingredients prepared with great flavor!
google avatar

Jane S.

Yelp
Seeds always has great food and great service! The toasts are great and the flatbreads are huge. Everything on the menu is a good choice. The outdoor patio is nice and dog-friendly. The staff is super helpful!

Yelp
Such an awesome spot with literally the best matcha latte ever. Matcha Zen, iced Great attentive staff, adorable location and just awesome food!

Yelp
What a gem of a find located in walking distance from our adorable boutique hotel. A wide open space with outdoor and indoor seating allows for a relaxed meal to start your day. The options are healthy, delicious, and fresh. It was so good, we went back the next morning before driving home. The service is amazing, with a friendly wait staff ready to make your experience even that much better. We both opted for the toast, #5 with avocado, smoked salmon, cucumbers, capers, red onion, and creme fraiche, and #6 with prosciutto, burrata, balsamic glaze, avocado, and honey. Both were amazing. Day 2, opted for the #5 again, it was just that good. Coffee is amazing. Check in with Yelp and you'll land yourself a free Kombucha. This is reasonably priced and well worth it. You will leave feeling happy and healthy!

Yelp
One of the best salads I've ever had! I love this place, if I lived in SLO I would come here daily. We had great service from Bailor and the cashiers! All of the food was amazing, smoothies, salads, and toast.

Yelp
Seeds has become one of my fave brekkie/brunch places to go to in SLO. The store is super modern and clean with plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. It's more pricey in my opinion and not as filling, but great flavors and quality. The Matcha Cold Foam Coconut Water is $10, which is a little ridiculous considering my toast was $9.50. However, it's the best matcha I've had in SLO and I've tried matcha at most coffee shops too. You can order using the kiosk or a cashier can help you out. Note that it is a cashless business! ig: @cravingswithcat

Yelp
(I changed my review from four star to five star and please be sure to see the edit update at the end) Cute atmosphere, awesome employees, delicious food! I do have a couple gripes though.... The greens #3 - which overall has great ingredients and is delicious but you could tell the onion was sliced probably first thing in the morning and onions seem to get more intense with each passing hour since it's been sliced, so just make sure you really like onion if you get an item that has onion, or get it without if you are averse to strong onion flavor, which tends to happen within hours of onions being cut they kind of get more strong-scented and flavored as time goes on. And the avocado is clearly old and brown, which is such a bummer when we live in the land of amazing delicious, perfectly ripe avocados. Other than that, the salad was lovely. I loved the tahini dressing, and I also got an açai bowl that was amazing, although they did forget my sliced bananas on that as well. And smoothie #6 was awesome (the almond milk, almond butter, banana, maca, spinach, and cacao). It's actually the only thing in my 3items that they didn't mess something up (although actually they might've missed something and I would never know because it's all wizzed up ‍) kind of a bummer about the other items, but the ingredients were mostly quality and the place is really cute and the employees were really kind. Edit update: WHOA! Amy just called me apologize profusely and refunded my entire order cost, all because of not perfect avocado on my salad. I am blown away impressed and I will definitely be back! We also had a lovely chat. She is all about quality and it shows. Thank you, Amy!

Yelp
Trendier than I normally like. They sell swag, coffee, bottled juices, kombucha, fizzed and flavored waters...all great. Some local. Greens 4 is a firm yes for me (pictured). It was a pretty slow 10:45am at SEEDS that Wednesday. But you wouldn't know it by the music. I have to admit I was a bit disoriented because the very young looking, very sweet college student staff were playing my "driving music" station on pandora which includes the likes of Kendrick Lamar, glass animals, and cannons. At least I know my music taste is still trendy? Or do just old people point this out?

Stacy K.

Yelp
Our lunch at Seeds in San Luis was fantastic! Annie took our order and recommended my salad. She was super sweet. I got the Number 2 Greens with added chicken and my husband got the half Number 5 Panini with a green salad. My salad was very hearty. I only got through half of it. They don't skimp on portions and definitely not quality. I've had several of their smoothies and they're always tasty. It's a must if you're in downtown SLO!

Yelp
Came here for a quick smoothie--we had been eating a lot of non-fruits & veggies so we needed a fix. This place has a cool vibe inside, cool merch. The smoothie we got was blue & it was decent! For the price it makes it harder to love it I think, but that's just most smoothies these days I guess.

Dea G.

Yelp
This place is absolutely amazing. Have tried so many things on the menu and everything was 10/10.
google avatar

Yelp
We liked how this was the healthy food restaurant actually open on a Sunday. The food was a little sweet for what we were used to, but the restaurant is clean and the staff were friendly. The weather was amazing, so we at outside on the patio. My toddler had to use the restroom and liked that there was a urinal but I didn't let him use it because it looked a little germy. Btw, I checked into Yelp and got a free kombucha which I ended up leaving at the restaurant untouched because I had too much kid stuff to carry and forgot my bag of food to go that had the kombucha.

Yelp
Edit to add: I am updating my review to 3.5 stars after speaking with the manager again, whom is very professional and assured me she spoke to staff and gave me a refund. I would be willing to try it again due to the salad and smoothie and management. We had late brunch here today. It looked busy and popular. First the ordering computer sucks. I can say the smoothie was good. The custom salad was fine. The breakfast panini I got was not a panini. It has cold cheese and half the sandwich was cold soggy bacon like I thought the bacon was raw. I asked if it was precooked and heated or if it was raw. One cashier said it was cooked from raw. She didn't apologize and was rude and just was like do you want it remade or not? Then they sent manager out whom was nice and said it was preecooked and that they would remake it. They literally made the same sandwich and it was even colder than the first. Did they do that on purpose? Based on the rudeness of the cashier I would suspect yes. A breakfast panini should be hot. I left it and just took the side salad.

Kennedy W.

Yelp
Always busy and not good food and very overpriced. Do not recommend. I found a plastic piece in my food. Never again. Workers very rude I waited 20 minutes for my food
google avatar

Cassie J.

Yelp
We went in to purchase 2 beverages...from the case. Basically it was just a transaction, can't speak to the food or anything actually made on site. We ordered 2 beverages and it came to over $9. My Pellegrino was $5. The case said $2.50. When i told the cashier we were overcharged she just said "Its $5 in our system." I said, "The case says $2.50". Her response was, "Thanks for letting me know. We'll have to change that." They should have honored the posted price. Will not return. Insane mark up and terrible service.
google avatar

Audrey Kaye M.

Yelp
Great Food. I ordered the Toast 4 (Substitute for Gluten Free Toast & Add Avocado) It was...phenomenal. I will definitely be back next time i'm in the area. On the locally made gluten free toast was a generous layer of burrata cheese, sliced cherry tomatoes, avocado slices, arugula greens, and topped with balsamic glaze drizzle. Beware: I had to use a knife and fork since it was pretty messy, but worth it. Its in the heart of Downtown SLO, and the vibe was very nice, especially in the outside seating: Service was good, very nice and speedy at their work. Sad I forgot to picture the plate before I dug into it, but here's the aftermath LOL.

Yelp
First meal (brunch-ish) and stop on a college roadtrip with my son. We left San Jose super early (7:30am), and arrived in SLO around 10:00am quite hungry! We wanted something somewhat healthy and my son picked Seeds. Pros- the ingredients were fresh, I really liked the side salads accompanying the panini sandwiches. Strawberries, seeds, and mixed greens. The breakfast panini had good flavor from the chipotle aioli (a little spicy, but it added flavor). Cons- I did not care for the consistency of the bread. Paninis should have a nice toast, but not a crunch! The outside of the bread was overly toasted and the inside was kind of mushy... it didn't hold up to the wet ingredients. For me, it was a weird textural dining experience! No pictures, I was too hungry and tired from the drive (and early wake up time!)
google avatar

Nicole D.

Yelp
Awesome healthy food in SLO! We were looking for something quick and healthy and Seeds hit the spot. We had a chicken panini and a salad and split them both. The Lemon Tahini dressing on the salad was excellent. Portions were good sized, food was fresh and delicious. Service was quick, attentive and friendly. Clean and well designed, we enjoyed spending time in their space. I will absolutely be back.
google avatar

Jessica C.

Yelp
You pay a premium for marketing. Nothing special here. There was too much overripe banana was in the smoothie, thus was a bit too slimy and pungent. Seeds unfortunately did not sucSEED my expectations. $9 is an over kill for a mediocre smoothie
google avatar

Catherine T.

Yelp
The staff at Seeds is so wonderful and friendly. The food is really good, too. I like that this company often participates in local events and tries to foster community around healthy eating and active lifestyles.

Yelp
My friend and I stopped by this clean, lovely place for a light bite one afternoon after I finished work on a weekend. I got kombucha and the second signature bowl = a spectacular combination! The bowl was refreshing and full of flavorful berries. The service there is swift and friendly. You can also get various types of toasts (and they use thick bread!) and beverages. I would love to try more smoothies here too!

Back P.

Yelp
Great food and excellent service! But soooooooo expensive! I paid $34 for my lunch. $34 for one person!!! I got a flatbread and a latte. That's it! Bummer! But if cost isn't an issue for you, then this place is fantastic!

Sheldon S.

Yelp
A great find in SLO. Pleasant atmosphere indoors and outdoors. But best of all was the excellent flatbreads and sandwiches. Best chicken panini I've ever enjoyed.
google avatar

steven c.

Yelp
Everything here is great but Panini#1 is the best breakfast sandwich in at least SLO county in my opinion. Please feel free to let know if you find one better!
google avatar

GM H.

Yelp
Good açaí and pitaya bowls. For vegans they also offer avocado toast. Bread has honey in it if that bothers you. Bowls too, but you can get them without. Good matcha latte. It's unsweetened, so I got mine with two pumps of syrup. This place has a great atmosphere, though the music is a bit loud. Fine if you sit outside. Staff was friendly.
google avatar

Isabelle W.

Yelp
Seeds has been a go to spot for my since college! They recently moved locations and it is a bigger space which is great for seating options. Everything they have is amazing and healthy. Their toasts, açaí bowls, and smoothies are all amazing. Highly recommend this place if you are looking for a healthy breakfast or lunch option!
google avatar

Anmol L.

Yelp
This place exceeded my expectations! The flatbread was mighty flavorful and enjoyable. It was a great dish to split as two and it did truly taste fresh and crispy. It is a seat yourself place. It is decorated modern and chic. The frozen rosé was very interesting, but later on the chunks of fruit made it less enjoyable.
google avatar

Lynn U.

Yelp
Seeds' façade provides clean modern cafe minimalism in ever-adapting downtown San Luis Obispo. This chic eatery promotes "the first 'fast social' brunch concept" and offers high quality eats at quick service. Walking in, a comforting bookstore vibe. The menu is easy on the eyes, few simple categories (smoothies, greens, panini, toasts, flatbread and replacing descriptive names for a numerical organization (ex: Smoothie 1, Greens 4). I ordered Smoothie 3 and Greens (a rice bowl) 2. The service took no longer than 10 minutes. The cook was hustling in the back! The smoothie has a pineapple and banana foreground and an almond butter background with a lovely blue spirulina tint. As a smoothie lover and part time smoothie critique, perhaps mostly at home ;), the quality is top tier with this flavor. The greens (rice salad) is scrumptious and the flavors juxtaposed, yet complimented one another eloquently. The brown rice, sweet potato, baby kale, avocado, red onion, and chèvre is a delicious and fiberful combination. The dining area is clean and inviting. Compliments to the staff! I was also impressed by the top notch AMASS - four thieves botanic soap available in the WC and ultraviolet light air dryers! This is my first time in and my experience was more than five stars.

Audreyhuynh ..

Yelp
had visited from the bay area to see one of my close friends this past weekend and this place is one of my absolute favorites! loved toast #1, the chipotle aioli really tied the entire thing together and smoothie #5 (the really pink/purple one) was amazingly tart and delish. overall, i would definitely come back here if i were to visit SLO again :)

M F.

Yelp
We love this place. It's very special and the cashier that works there named Keira has the best personality ever really really wonderful place. Highly recommend
google avatar

Tara L.

Yelp
Their matcha drinks are pretty good but soooo expensive! $10 for the matcha foam coconut water. We're a family of four and I ended up only buying three drinks because I couldn't fathom paying $40 for drinks. I just sipped everyone else's drinks, lol. We also tried their pistachio latte. All good but super pricey.
google avatar

Brissa M.

Yelp
Stumbled upon this place because the breakfast place was slammed. We were looking for something extremely light and small for my toddler. So, why not give a Nutella toast a try..let's just say he devoured the whole thing. It had fruit and honey and just simple and delicious. My mom had a spicy toast which had egg and some sort of spicy aioli.. I had a small bite but kind of regretted not getting one for myself. Service was quick and easy. The vibe is pretty much industrial coffee place vibes with lots of seating and an openness due to the large doors and windows that seamlessly transition from indoor to outdoor area. Good location, lots of shops and things to see around. Was tempered to buy some merch but they unfortunately did not have the size I was looking for which was a bummer because it was a cute shirt..

Emilio V.

Yelp
The service/staff were warm and welcoming. The food was delicious. Also had some good brunch drinks but didn't get the chance to try them. Outdoor seating was pleasant also.
