"This cozy, rustic wine bar focuses on bottles from Spain and Portugal, including lesser-known wines, alongside a menu of tapas dishes. This family-owned and run spot not only has wines curated by the family but they pitched in on building the place too. Its named for the city of Segovia in Spain, where the family traced its genealogy back to." - Courtney E. Smith

Google
This is my favorite place in Waco! They have a great wine selection and if (like me), you’re not quite sure what you’re looking for, they are very knowledgeable and can guide you to something that you will love! They make it so approachable! The tapas are great. I’ve tried many of them at this point and they are all great. Again, the staff is really great at leading you to a good choice for you. I’ll be back any time I’m in town!

Google
A bit expensive, but they had a very good charcuterie board with a nice wine selection. Unfortunately, the grill had closed when I visited at 8:45pm on a Thursday. I didn't like the Ostatu Rose as much, and they were out of my second choice, the Bandini does Cauces, but the Toro de Piedra Gran Reserve (2021) that Courtney suggested was smooth and delicious at a really good price.

Google
An amazing place to sit, drink, eat and enjoy! The food and wine are both exceptional. I had the patatas bravas and they are the best potatoes I have ever had :) I also had the tuna salad pintxo, which was excellently seasoned. The environment reminded me of a European bar, where you can sit, eat and drink after work or for hours on the weekend. They also had live Jazz which was so nice to listen to while enjoying our meal!

Run, don’t walk! Best breakfast I’ve had in a long time! Potatoes, melt like butter in my mouth, eggs cooked exactly to my request, everything was fresh and delicious. Courtney the owner was an absolute sweetheart! Also the wine she recommended was exceptional! I will frequent this establishment every time I am in the area!

Google
Courtney (one of the owners) was absolutely fantastic! She runs an amazing crew and we came in as first timers. We wanted to try a little bit of everything and her recommendations for food and wine exceeded our expectation every moment of our experience. It is an elevated and upscale restaurant that is a must try!

Google
Wonderful place! The owner’s personally greeted me and my fiancé and sat us at our table. Then walked us through their very comprehensive list of wines and tapas. The food was delicious, and the wines carried are of great selection. Everything was amazing, and I would definitely recommend their brunch to anyone I know.

Google
I absolutely love this place! Great wine, food, and the owners are personable and hospitable. Have tried a variety of the tapas and all have been so good. Mushroom pinxtos were my favorite! Decent amount of vegetarian options which is always nice. The staff give great recommendations. The atmosphere is chill and laid back. It is in a touristy area but does not feel like it, which I love. I have been here twice and will keep coming back!

Google
Great place! Wonderful food and service. They do tapas better than Spain does tapas!

Yelp
So I went to Waco to visit my friend and we chose this place for lunch. We had tapas and wine. We got the pan con tomate and the patatas bravas. With the pan con tomatoe you take the garlic and tomatoes and crush it over the bread and then you pour some high-quality olive oil on top. After that you sprinkle some salt over it and eat it with the wine. It was honestly a really great way to eat bread. I had never actually scraped garlic on bread before, but it honestly tasted so good and fresh, this was something super easy that I could also try at home which I really loved. The patatas bravas were also really good. It had Dallas with a gravy that tasted amazing and the potatoes were very crispy and cooked well. Of course, this was a wine bar and the wine did not disappoint. We both enjoyed the wine that we got. Needless to say we were happy with our experience here. The ambience is really cute and would make for a great date night. the waiter was also really nice. We enjoyed the service here as well.

Yelp
We found this gem on an early Friday evening. The place is a perfect size. It is not too big and it's nicely appointed. i particularly like the light fixture in the center of the bar area made from bottles...it's fun! Our server, Ariel, was amazing. She gave great recommendations and we tried different plates and enjoyed them immensely! The wine list was extensive and varied while still holding true to the Spanish-Portuguese theme! I would definitely come back!

Yelp
Quaint wine bar that specializes in Spanish wines! The owners are super nice people, you would go there just to hang out with them, but then they have som delicious tapas offerings and wines to charm any palate. Highly recommend that you stop in and try this place out!

Yelp
We had a pleasant time at the bar eating tapas and drinking wine. We were provided with excellent service by the owner who truly cares about her guests and is very knowledgeable on what is offered to us. We were given great recommendations on the wine. We ordered 3 pintxos which was served on delicious crisp baguettes. We had the manchego & serano, majorero & chorizo and one with mushrooms. All tasted amazing. Another tapa we got was the chorizo al vino. It was sweet and savory after being cooked in white wine. It had so much flavor and was really juicy. If only we came here on an empty stomach we would've tried more. If we ever come back to Waco we would definitely return and try more of what they have to offer!

Yelp
Amazing ambiance, servers who know how often to check in and are friendly. Great vinho verde, and the sampler is toppings on toasted bread was very good, along with the pan con tomate which involves rubbing garlic on toast and topping with perfectly ripe tomatoes for the freshest taste ever. Definitely recommend!

Yelp
We came for brunch and it was AMAZING. The vibes were perfect, the service was attentive and informative. This is a hidden gem! I want to keep all to myself but it's way too good to keep hidden.

Yelp

Yelp
Love this precious wine bar!! Great service, great recommendations, very friendly! It was very laid back with live music, sit where you want kind of place. Good wine selections and we asked the server to pick three faves of tapas and he did not disappoint! Excellent food choices! Potato, meatball, and shrimp! Yum!!

Yelp
This place is a gem! I would not be surprised if the owner who waited on us is a sommelier. Incredibly knowledgeable and recommended the perfect wine for both me and my wife. Can't wait to go to their weekly Saturday Jazz nights. This is a must when you're in the Waco area.

Trenton V.

Yelp
Food was incredible, could tell that the chef was a pro. Especially the sopa calabaza , tasted amazing. Nice low light relaxing ambiance. Staff attentive enough and laidback/casual, happy to give recommendations. They were nice enough to put together a little box with a bow that my wife put them up to , to tell me that she is pregnant, so that was very nice. This is a great place to come and have a very pleasant dining experience , thumbs up for sure.

Yelp
Delicious. Amazing. Unique. Perfect. Brunch was the BEST. Salmon Pintxos and Spanish Benedict and Gambas Al Ajillo are all a must. Get three and share with a friend. Waco, run don't walk! Love. Excellent service. Great location. Beautiful setting. Sit outside and have a mimosa or glass of wine with Brunch. Ariel is a doll! great service.

Paul U.

Yelp
There's a difference between being passionate and being pretentious. For us on a lovely Saturday evening owner Courtney was definitely the former. Scrumptious small plates. We left quite contented with a vow to return soon. The live light jazz was perfect as well.

Sandra P.

Yelp
The service was amazing, David was great! The place was small, quaint, and the food was amazing! Definitely recommend.

Anonymous F.

Yelp
Fantastic service, food and wine. Staff is helpful, friendly, accommodating and make great recommendations! Jazz band on Saturday night was a special treat! Highly recommend.

Cornelius B.

Yelp
The vibes in this place are always amazing. I love the service and the live music. Nice place to sit back and have a beer after work and the mushroom and date flatbread is the best.

Monique A.

Yelp
Food was great, wine was great. Looking for somewhere different to spend your evening in Waco, this is the perfect spot!

Yelp
Segovia bills itself as a wine bar with tapas. They are highly accomplished in both areas. The wine list is extensive with an emphasis on Spanish wines. They are more focused on reds, but they introduced us to a White (Abad Don Bueno) that knocked our socks off. We bought an extra bottle to take home. The food is incredible. We had three tapas and one coca (flatbread). It was all excellent. The patatas bravas were crispy potatoes with a garlic aioli and house made sauce. Amazing! My wife ordered the pisto mancheco as an afterthought, and it was so fresh and tasty, we were glad not to have missed it. Think wonderful ratatouille. The spinach coca (flatbread) was crunchy and flavorful. I couldn't finish it all, but plan to eat the rest for breakfast tomorrow with a poached egg. This is seriously good food and wine. I will admit the crowd was sparse, which tells me that Waco hasn't caught on yet to a wonderful new dining option. That's probably a good thing for those of us willing to try something new. We will definitely put this on our list to visit often!

Yelp
The ambiance is great, love the lounge seating. Owners are great and very informative!

Yelp
What a lovely addition to Waco! Welcoming atmosphere, great service, and yummy food and drinks. I enjoyed the Cava cocktail and pinxtos (tapas from northern Spain) for happy hour. I look forward to coming back for dinner and more drinks!

Diane E.

Yelp
Went here tonight for first time with husband daughter and son-in-law. We all decided it was a must do again. We were assisted in finding a lovely bottle of wine and started with a charcuterie. We proceeded to order about half the menu and it was all lovely and yummy! I'm looking forward to going back on a weekend with live music.

Jenna F.

Yelp
I'm so excited that there are tapas in Waco!! I went last night with some friends and we greatly enjoyed the tapas, wine, and live music. Highly recommend this place for snacks and drinks when you're downtown.

Chris M.

Yelp
Delicious food in the Tapas style, an amazing wine list and a fun relaxed ambiance - plus they have Jazz music!

Liz M.

Yelp

Laurinda T.

Yelp
The food is outstanding! Get every Tapa on the menu and share!! The wine list is extensive and amazing! The owners are gracious and very kind! Try everything...you won't be sorry!!

Yelp
Fabulous service--our server was knowledgeable and just attentive enough to make us feel cared for but also didn't feel smothered at all. Shared plates were also delicious and fun. We all tried something new and loved it all. It was a little hard to find even though I knew where it was, so just know it IS there! Great place to visit with friends and have conversations where you can hear one another. Have recommended it to others and they also loved. Also great for a happy hour or date night.

Jessica G.

Yelp
This place is exactly what Waco needed - a real wine bar with a great grazing board and tapas menu. The service was excellent. They were very knowledgeable and friendly. When we went, there was live music, but not the obnoxiously loud type. It's downtown close to the silos, but if you are local, don't let that stop you. This place is really great. Definitely go. Definitely get the mushroom, date, and goat cheese flatbread. And definitely enjoy yourself.

Blythe S.

Yelp
We had the pleasure of going to Segovia on a wine tour and let me tell you it was our favorite stop! The beautiful couple that own it are so lovely! The food was amazing, especially the gazpacho!!! All good fresh food! It's a must try! If I lived here I would frequent!

Morgan H.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, the staff is AMAZING and so knowledgeable. We got a delicious chilled white wine to get out of the heat in this Texas summer. It was a good find and we would definitely come back. The tapas was great and the wine is delicious!

Kelly M.

Yelp
Loved the tapas! We just got back from Espana! We visited Segovia while we were there. My heart smiles because Segovia Wine Bar reminds me of Espana...the food and ambiance truly represents their name

Robin M.

Yelp
Very happy to have this hip tapas & wine spot in Waco. We went for Sunday brunch and look forward to trying their lunch and dinner menu in the near future. I started with the gazpacho. It was fresh and flavorful with tasty toast for dipping. Husband ordered the Campari tomatoes with olive oil, basil, garlic, and sherry vinegar. They were spot on with flavors that enhanced but did not overpower the tomatoes. The great thing about tapas is they are small and for sharing, so we powered on with the Spanish Ratatouille (Pisto) topped with two over-easy eggs. I loved the combination of peppers, onions, squash, and tomatoes with the eggs. It was light and filling. My husband said he could happily have the Jamon Serrano Pintxos (creamy eggs with tomatoes ham and chives on toast) every day. On the recommendation of the friendly wait staff, we wrapped up our meal with Torrijas (Spanish French toast with peaches and whipped cream). Can't say enough about this delightful little gem.
