I came here because I saw a baker on IG sells her pastries here and while I was not able to find her pastries, the baker they use is chef’s kiss. I got the cinnamon roll twice! I love the croissant like texture of the cinnamon roll vs the traditional bread base. Their cranberry scone is also very delicious. Their lattes are made to perfection and so lean on the sweeter side. There is ample space to work and they have both cozy and industrial vibes which makes this a place you could easily be for hours. The staff are super patient! Will return again and again.

I love spending my lunch breaks here to stretch my legs and take a break from the office. The atmosphere is always so refreshing, and working on my laptop here has been such a peaceful experience. The variety of options is great, and I really enjoy the natural light while staying cool during the summer. I usually grab a coffee or treat myself to a pistachio muffin from Segundo Coffee — always a tasty delight! I’ve also tried the chicken bacon avocado sandwich from the World Famous Second Slice, and it was absolutely delicious!

Google
Cool little spot. Coffee was good, almond Croissant was ahhmazing. Nice quiet spaces to work with outlets. Also had a lot of cool shops that were closed during my morning visit. Can't wait to go back!

Google
10/10. 1st time visiting and it was good. Churro Latte w/ almond croissant was my most fav. I ordered online and it was ready when I got there easy process and once I was at the location I parked out front ran I side and walked out within 1-2min

Google
Located in a former machine shop, there are shops and a few places to get coffee, juice, or a snack/sandwich all built into shipping containers. Segundo coffee was good and so were the tacos.

Italiana M

Google
Iced Coffee was ok. Service wasn't the best, but they were busy, so I figured hopefully that's why. 10am on a Saturday most of the breakfast food options were out. There were pastries and Croissants. Tried the ham croissant. I'm not sure how long the meat items sit in the counter window. Later on the day I didn't feel great after the coffee and croissant unfortunately.

Google
Neat coffee shop inside the open concept Ironworks, Segundo Coffee House serves up great coffee and offered plenty of comfy seating. The service here is spectacular!

Google
Great place for a date on the weekend! You can have a cup of coffee then visit all the stores they have inside of Iron Works. The Coffee is good, and they have some good tacos too! It's comfortable and a great place to read a book and relax as well. They have plenty of parking spaces, something I was worried about before I arrived, and a really cool looking building with a huge iron door that you have to walk through. Totally recommend this place and I'll be going back soon to try something different!

Megan L.

Yelp
This is an awesome coffee shop tucked in the Ironworks building. I loved the variety on their menu, with unique drinks like Thai coffee and a hot chocolate coffee drink with a $1 charge for oat milk. The variety and creativity in their menu is unmatched compared to other Houston coffee shops I have seen, which I appreciate as someone that is less of a coffee purist and more of a innovative drink seeker. I also ordered a chorizo taco, which while affordable at around $3, was ok - in hindsight, I might have checked out some of the other food options instead, as my friend who got the overnight oats found it to be a huge hit with not only herself but her toddler as well. Service was a bit slow on a bustling Sunday, but that is to be expected. There is ample seating inside, from comfy couches to your more standard dining table set-up. The open air layout makes this good for larger groups with the option to browse at nearby stores as well. Overall, I would recommend this place as a must-visit for anyone in Houston looking for a coffee shop with great drink options and industrial-chic vibes.

Yelp
Good coffee and even better baked goods! Segundo is located in a more industrial part of town, right near some warehouses and train tracks. Inside a big warehouse itself, Segundo has their own little booth on the side, across a CBD shop. There are plenty of drink offerings. My husband enjoyed his coffee, my sons enjoyed the chocolate croissant and I enjoyed the delicious pistachio muffin. If you're looking for something different to do, definitely come by and take a look at all the clothing and trinket shops while sipping on your coffee and enjoying your pistachio muffin!

Yelp
I went today as part of a coquette market event and segundo coffee lab had a niña coqueta latte. This was a white chocolate mocha with caramel, and the drink was very cute and honestly exceeded my expectations for a coffee place! The coffee was perfect and the drink itself was not too sweet. It does cost an extra $1 to sub almond/oat milk. I also got a brisket taco, which I thought was just okay. The taco was $4.50 and decently sized, but the brisket meat was a little dry. I probably would not get again. Service was a bit slow because it was super busy, and they forgot my friend's empanada which took even longer, but overall a decent coffee place!

Katherine D.

Yelp
Came for a quick study session and I think it's a pretty nice place to do some work. Lots of seating and good wifi. But it's not the quietest place if that what you are looking for. Parking was also super easy with the lot across the street. I really enjoyed my drink. I got the Thai especial latte which was a Thai tea and shot of espresso I believe. It had a Thai tea taste but I feel like it was not super distinct and like hard to recognize as Thai tea. But it was really good and had a really strong flavor. I can't say I was a fan of the empanada though. It didn't have much flavor and the texture of the dough threw me off a little. It kinda just felt a bit dry. The workers were nice and helpful. Pretty neutral experience I would say. Either way I feel like I'd come back to try their other drinks and I overall like the atmosphere.

Albana O.

Yelp
I love coming to Segundo! They have good quality coffee and small treats. I recently tried the pecan cold brew and it HIT. The location and Ironworks is also really nice because there's ample seating, plus you can visit multiple businesses without leaving the same building.

Yelp
Disclaimer: I'm on a hunt for the best cafe to work from as I'm working remote. My review is based on factors for a good place to work from and not necessarily the coffee or food. Overall great cafe for work and coffee. Noise level - 64 db quiet conversation Wifi speed - 114 down 144 up Power plugs - around 6 Seats - 10 indoors Parking - free 10 lots The barista was very friendly and introduced me to the place and told me they roast their own coffee beans here. My flat white came within 5 minutes and was delicious. The place is small so you're not fighting with a lot of people to use the internet but you'll have to be here early to grab a spot. I was here at 9am and got a table next to the power plug. The tables are also close to each other so it's hard to have meetings if everyone is speaking loudly. I'll definitely recommend this cafe for quiet work.

David M.

Yelp
Segundo coffee lab is inside of a warehouse with other restaurants and retail stores. This is a great place to spend a Sunday as you can walk around and take a look at the other shops. Segundo is Hispanic themed and many of their drinks are named after Hispanic culture. I got a latte and a bacon egg and cheese danish. This was a popular spot among people in Houston. The service was great and the coffee and pastries were both delicious.

Daisy A.

Yelp
Absolutely love this cafe! Every coffee I've tried has been delicious and the pastries are super good. I definitely recommend the abuelita loca and pingüino latte. This cafe is located inside of the ironworks so you can also get other food options from different food/drink places and there are other different shops there to take a look at! The staff at the coffee lab is super sweet and quick. Pretty huge on the laidback work environment as I've seen many students, workers and meetings going on both individually and as groups. There is plenty of parking across the street in a lot and plenty of seating inside with plugs nearby if you need to do work!

Brandon D.

Yelp
Spent all day studying for school at segundo coffee lab with some classmates I got the Thai especial latte, which is made with Thai milk tea and espresso. I really enjoyed my drink, the Thai tea flavor is strong and the flavor is very apparent. The espresso does not overpower the Thai tea flavor, but it enhances the drink very well. My friends thought their drinks were just ok, but really liked mine. There's plenty of seating but not a lot of them have outlets. There's also free wifi. There's also a bunch of small shops and boutiques inside as well. Drink wise I liked the Thai especial latte, but I probably wouldn't study here.

Joel G.

Yelp
my go to place to go for coffee. they always consistent and never miss on the my drink. the breakfast burritos and salsa is bomb too!

Loren G.

Yelp
Loved the atmosphere! Coffee, loved the pumpkin spice latte and pastries-the Russian Honey cake...pop-up. What a great way to spend a few hours chilling and snacking.

Maria C.

Yelp
I've been coming to this shop since it first opened. Highly recommend to anyone visiting downtown or the East End. I love the iced matcha, caramelo chai, and La Mexicana.

Claudia G.

Yelp
Such a spacious, modern coffee shop. There are plenty of places to relax and enjoy their delicious menu items. There are often local vendor fairs at this location which is how I got to check them out. Not only are they a coffee shop but they are also a non-profit fighting to end human trafficking. Such an important cause especially in Houston! We ordered an avocado toast and their signature Pinguino drink. Service was fast & friendly despite there being a busy crowd. Most customers seemed to be very familiar with their menu & the staff still explained their drink menu to us without making us feel rushed. The avocado toast was smothered with a generous amount of avocado, seasoning & huge slices of fresh tomatoes. I don't remember what was in the Pinguino drink but it was really good! We fell in love with this location, their food & their cause!

Michelle B.

Yelp
Felt that this wasn't the best coffee I've had. I would likely stop elsewhere if given the choice honestly. If you want meh food I would come back. The best part of this spot is honestly the converted shipping containers within the building. Exploring the little shops was nice.

Carlos O.

Yelp
I frequent segundo pretty often. I love their coffee so much. And the staff is always above and beyond excellent.

Amna I.

Yelp
I got the La Mexicana which is an iced honey and cinnamon latte. The flavor was a nice blend of the two but a little too sweet for my liking. The pastry items are also pretty good for anyone who wants a sweet treat. Otherwise, this place is located in an indoor mall of sorts called iron works. There is plenty of parking and other places to eat in the same location. Great place to hang out with friends!

Jessica B.

Yelp
Best drinks in town! They offer a great selection of pastries and food as well. I've tried several drinks, and they're all fantastic--plus, they have fun, creative names. The location is unique, set in a store made from shipping containers in EaDo, and the vibe is really cool. The staff is super friendly, and I never feel awkward going alone. It's always a great experience. They offer different events every night.

Kennedy W.

Yelp
I wanted to love this place, especially after seeing such great reviews. Unfortunately, it was a huge disappointment. I'll start with the pros. There was a parking lot. I know that sounds like a silly thing to rave about but I've been to many places downtown that had inadequate parking and they had a nice size lot right across the street. They also give you the ability to order ahead so you don't have to stand in line. I also appreciated the fact that you can choose what kind of milk you want in your tea or coffee. I had great Taro milk tea with oat milk. As far as the cons, the line was long and in an odd place. I kept having to move out of peoples way so they could scan the app to skip the line or throw away trash. The service during ordering was subpar, it felt rushed and the cashier seemed a bit short. The food was the biggest disappointment. My partner ordered one sausage and one bacon breakfast taco. He didn't like it but he doesn't like lots of things so I didn't pay him much mind. But then I ate my jalapeño and queso tamale which was the worst tamale I've ever had in my life. It was mushy and had no flavor. I usually suck it up and eat food I don't like but I took it back. Luckily, the gentleman at the counter was kind enough to make me another. He said if I didn't like the second one I could get a refund. Unfortunately, I hated it but I decide to just throw it away. I also got a pork empanada which also lacked flavor but was at least edible. Overall, I was unimpressed with the food given the bland taste, unpleasant texture, and kids meal portion despite the adult prices. I likely won't return.

Pooja N.

Yelp
I love coming here for the bean and cheese taco! It's the perfect thing after a tough weekend workout. Their cold foams are also delicious and addictive! I love catching up on some weekend work at this great space in eado!

Amoré M.

Yelp
The churro late and a barbacoa taco are my go-to for the weekend! If they had barbacoa tacos daily I'd probably be giving them all my money! Service is always quick and the staff is incredibly nice.

Samantha P.

Yelp
I ordered the churro latte and it was okay. It felt like something was missing as the flavor wasn't fully encompassed in the drink. I also was surprised at the price for one latte.

Lorraine I.

Yelp
I love their bakery and churrio latte It was pretty good and tasty The shop is in the middle of a market place Bunch of small shops You can really sit here for a while if it's not the weekend Not crowded but if it's Sat or Sun maybe it's gonna be busy

Jando S.

Yelp
No one prepared me for the awesomeness of Segundo Coffee Lab. Having done zero research, I was expecting it to be every other quaint cafe but I couldn't have been more wrong. It's a lovely venue space; complete with boutique businesses for additional shopping and plenty of room to sit around and work / lounge / and people watch. Coffee wise, I'm happy with what I tend to get. They serve a pretty good cold brew, as well as any of their lattes. There is no shortage of drinks, just as there is a number of food items. There are tacos, empanadas, kolaches with a twist, and various pastries (shout out ube muffin!) that go well with any of their drinks. Another plus is their WiFi. I've streamed a number of videos here with zero buffer. It's also quiet enough to get some work done and the best thing about a big place is being able to move around. There is definitely no shortage of parking and I hope they continue to keep impressing is all. Some suggestions to management: create more outlets where there is seating. Currently it's only spots along the wall and/or corners but if there were some in the middle of the room (ground outlets + extensions?), it would be a huge difference maker. Speaking of corners, someone needs to dust off the cobwebs; I've watched a number of people sit in the corners and walk out with (spider) threads attached to their bag / body etc. At the end of the day, this is definitely a cool place to spend some time at. I appreciate the seclusion of the neighborhood / location and look forward to more visits here down the line.

Gene U.

Yelp
Tasty latte! Baristas are friendly. Lots of places to sit and chill. Segundo is inside the Ironworks building. It's one of the few stores inside.

Jason D.

Yelp
Twas a Saturday afternoon, I had just wrapped up at Moon Tower Inn and needed some energy, so it hit up the Yelps for a power station. And Segundo popped up. Located on the back roads of Eado, this place was right on my route back to HQ. The staff were super friendly, and helpful with the menu suggestions. There is some street parking, and a big lot across the street. I hadn't been here before so I was surprised to see a few different business in the same space. Had I more time, I would've walked a round a bit. The coffee was excellent. I went with a large Iced Pinguino Latte w/oatmilk. It was really good but $8.20 before tip. That's quite a bit for a cup of Joe, as good as it was. I couldn't afford to start a habit there if I wanted to. Hoping they might bring it down a wee bit. That said, you won't be disappointed by what you're drinking.

Mohammad S.

Yelp
Unique coffee, stands out. Has a very unique flvor profile. I've been here a few times and always loved the service and the vibe of th eplace. I feel everyone here is super nice.

Lacey D.

Yelp
Delicious and unique coffee, pastries and food. On this visit my husband got the hot churro latte and I got an iced Mexican coffee. Really delicious!

Leo B.

Yelp
Dropped in to study and get a few work projects done. Great atmosphere for working, studying, and/or meeting up with friends. While there, I tried the hot chocolate and two tacos. One breakfast taco (egg, and potato), and one lunch taco(Carne Asada)--both pretty good. After completing work, I did a little shopping and have enjoyed my purchases already. Service was great as well, will definitely be returning!

Jessica Z.

Yelp
Segundo is a really cute coffee shop with lots of open space for studying or hanging out. It gives off a grungy warehouse vibe which is really unique and also has lots of small shops that you can browse a selection of vintage clothing and jewelry pieces. I got an ice vanilla latte which had a great aftertaste but did not really have the vanilla flavor. However, I would definitely recommend coming to try this spot out and their pastries also look super yummy. Will be back again!

Jason Z.

Yelp
Inside Ironworks Market in deep EaDo. Interesting concept; industrial factory setting with shipping containers for each individual shop. Definitely a Denver/LA vibe that they're trying to strongly imitate. Decent coffee options at Segundo and we got the oat milk latte. Coffee is good but they're definitely going for more of the chill vibe. Interior seating is available. Seems like a cool spot to study and vibe!

David C.

Yelp
Segundo Coffee Lab might be the coolest looking coffee shop I've been to in awhile. Located in the new Ironworks building, this place consists of different shops and boutiques all made out of different size shipping containers. I felt like every place here felt like discovering a new hidden gem in Houston. Segundo Coffee Lab has a variety of coffee, specialty drinks, teas, bottomless coffee, monthly drink specials, and an assortment of different Mexican tortas, tacos, and empanadas. They also offer alternative milk options, and the option to add CBD or Delta 8 to any of their drinks. Bottled/canned beers, seltzers, and juices are available as well. This particular visit I tried their July special called "taro cosmico latte," and their shaken espresso w/ oat milk. The taro latte was out of this world because it was the perfect mix of taro and chocolate with their espresso and almond milk. The shaken espresso was really good as well, and I feel like it highlighted the quality of their beans perfectly. As far as seating goes, there's a good variety of seats, couches, and tables. The big industrial style windows let in a lot of natural lighting which I like, but I do wish there were more power outlets available. There were quite a few people here on a Thurs afternoon getting work done, but it was a little loud for me because they're still doing construction on other parts of the building. But as long as you come with some headphones, I would definitely get a coffee and work here again. Cheers!

Ericka S.

Yelp
Second Ward, especially Milby Street, is one of my favorite parts of town, and I've had Segundo Coffee Lab on my list of places to try for a while. I love how various businesses are set up inside the Ironworks building. The setting is unique, and out of the box compared to most Houston indoor dining courts. I walked up to Segundo rather indecisive, so I just let the friendly barista make a suggestion, which ended up being the La Mexicana iced coffee. This is sublime iced coffee with a hint of sweetness and cinnamon, which is a flavor I really appreciate when it comes to coffee. Highly recommended.

Lunden D.

Yelp
Located on the east side of Houston in which you have a great view of Houston's Skyline, Segundo coffee lab is one of my go to spots for studying & to get some pretty to tea options! I also tried a brisket empanada which was okay, nothing to rave about. They have a variety of shopping stores inside as well. Plenty of seating & plenty of parking spots.

Vlad V.

Yelp
I stumbled upon Segundo Coffee Lab one night after my first choice was unexpectedly closed. The coffee shop is located in a really cool building that houses a bunch of vendors, businesses, and is a co-working space. Parking is easy in the lot adjacent to the building. I'm not much of a coffee drinker so I went with an Arnold Palmer and we sat at one of the tabletops that surrounds the coffee shop. There's a good deal of seating and tables in case you're working or studying while you're there. surround. I didn't try any of the food but they do have a limited food menu. To take things up a notch, it's also a CBD dispensary so you can get some of those goodies if it strikes your fancy. I'd definitely come back to work remotely in the future!

Rubeneisha C.

Yelp
I will start off by saying this spot has some really creative drinks yet when you realize how much they are charging you it may change your mind about frequenting. How do you charge someone $1 just add some oatmilk to a drink. First off oat milk is around 4.86 per carton. The splash of oat milk that was added to my drink I felt completely ripped off. Like where is my 1/4 of the container sir Ordered a large plain cold brew and received a regular size another time I went and upon telling said baristas it's an issue to get my order remade. Now please do not think I'm cheap especially when it comes to food/drink pricing, I'll spend designer handbag money just on my food but won't on actually handbags I am also a business woman so I understand pricing when it comes to location and the economy. I should have known by the quick turnover of staff that something was off about this place. Loved the pastries I would select each time I go but when I go to the restroom and see they are coming out of grocery store packaging, yet I'm being charged between $5-7 for a itty bitty small pastry, it's a NO for me. Now not all pastries are store bought I was told some come from a bakery in Houston. IMO if you giving me store bought/prepared food be realistic with your pricing. Last thing is, they offered a military and teacher discount. I thought this was very nice because my coworkers would come in so much but the owner quickly took the discount away because he said items are too expensive. Well sir if you knew how to run a business and get your products at wholesale value and stop going down street to a grocery store you'd see even more growth for your business. It took me almost a year to come and finally write a review just because I wanted to see if my opinion would change. This coffee hub is in close proximity of my job so I use to come in two-three times a week picking up orders for my coworkers and myself. But not any longer we have found a newer coffee shop that appreciated our frequent business and doesn't try to charge unreasonable pricing

Allison W.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday afternoon to get some studying done and found it to be a pretty nice place. It's located inside Ironworks, which has a bunch of small vendors inside. The theme is industrial and each vendor is inside shipping containers to match the theme. I like the concept since there is something here for everyone, whether you want coffee, clothes, or food. We ordered an iced americano and thought that their blend is quite respectable - definitely a cut above most other competitors in town. Specifically, the body and mouth feel just punched a little harder than most other blends we've had in town. We didn't get to try any single- origin coffees, but we have high hopes with this place and it definitely runs with the best in town. There's a large parking lot located next to the building. There's free wifi, natural lighting, and chill vibes.

Madison W.

Yelp
The selection of coffee and pastries was great, there were a variety of items to choose from. I got a churro latte with almond milk which was really good and a warm honey croissant which was amazing. I happened to come on a day where the air conditioning went out or something so it was very hot, otherwise I would've stayed longer. Hopefully this was a one off thing and there is usually cold air and not just a couple fans scattered throughout. There's a good amount of seating and a couple of outlets. The Wi-Fi is free but the password is printed on your receipt, so seems like you'd have to buy something. The noise level isn't too high but there are other restaurants and shops in the building so not the place to come to if you need a quiet place to read or work. Would definitely come back.

Brittany B.

Yelp
Everyone's mentioned the location & the service & the CBD so here's are a few nuggets I've yet to see in other reviews: You know that London Fog roll & chicken curry bun I raved about at The Coffee Spot at West End? We'll I guess this shop has the same supplier...which means, again, don't you dare leave without trying the London Fog Roll. In addition to those two, I'll add the chocolate scone to that list- get it hot! On the drink end, their drip coffee is smooth & their espresso is nice. It took me 2 visits to find a drink of choice so I'd give a few a try. I'll also add the Gato Azul (in the to go cooler) to the "try it" list. It taste like cereal milk...a fruit loop, fruity pebble, lucky charms sort of situation (and its blue...so that's fun). The whole case rocks cold drinks with milk alts (usually oat milk) & so far nothing but delicious. Pro Tip: the owner also owns delta 8, so if you grab a gift card, you can use it at either shop!

Natafei N.

Yelp
Full disclosure, I've never actually had coffee from this location, but the dirty chai at the Galveston location yesterday was easily the best I've ever had and I can only imagine the quality is replicated here. This location deserves extra props for exceptional customer service. I accidentally placed a large online order today for a mothers' day brunch in Galveston, not realizing I sent the order to Houston. When we discovered the mixup, they were incredibly helpful and voided/refunded the order even though the drinks had already been made. Wish I'd caught the name of the guy on the phone. This shop isn't super convenient to our house in Houston, but I'll absolutely make the trek given what lovely humans work there. Thank you!

Sunny B.

Yelp
Segundo Coffee Lab is located inside a new Ironworks Marketplace which is home to boutique shops and stands. It's a very hipster feel - there's a small CBD stand in front of the coffee stand. I was expected a more peaceful ambience but was surprised at the feel. It was very busy and loud when we checked it out on a weekend. Not your place to study and get work done. The coffee itself was a little overpriced. We tried the pinguino and thai coffee drinks. Both drinks tasted almost the same. The coffee was good, but I ordered the thai cofee and was not able to taste the thai tea even if the drink was orange tinged.

Akeylia C.

Yelp
My inaugural visit to Segundo Coffee Lab was fantastic, and it won't be my only one! The cashier recommended the snickerdoodle over the gingerbread chai, and it was just the right balance of deliciousness without being overly sweet. The service was prompt, the atmosphere was delightful, and its proximity to other local spots made it an ideal place to unwind, catch up with friends, or be productive.

Jennifer T.

Yelp
2 HR LIMIT WIFI. Password is on the receipt. Not sure if making another purchase grants you another 2 hrs. DOG FRIENDLY. You can bring your furry friends indoors. Also option to add CBD into your coffee Located in the IRONWORKS warehouse with a large parking lot. Lots of windows so there's a lot of natural lighting & the space feels open. By the time it was noon they already sold out of all their breakfast tacos so I opted for the BRISKET EMPANADA. The empanada was warm, had a good amount meat & delicious! I went with the cashier's reccomendation of the MEXICAN PUMPKIN SPICED LATTE & I was a fan! Not too sweet but still strong & creamy. They play chill lofi music that is relaxing but somehow motivating. The building also houses other local shops for you to browse. The wifi limit is a bit inconvinent if you needed to stay awhile to get work done but it is also a good reminder to maybe take a break & do something else.

Evelyne T.

Yelp
Came to check out the unique setup of the warehouse and it's a little underwhelming. Half the building was empty, unfortunately, so there wasn't really much to see. But the location is great for work - not too loud and lots of natural lighting. There's quite a few tables but not a proportional number of outlets so that may be a hit or miss depending on when you go. For the cafe itself, I would say the teas are overpriced for what you get. I got a chai milk tea and while it wasn't bad, the flavor was nothing I would return for at a $7 price point. The baristas were nice, though!

Calvin W.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday morning to get a coffee and do some light work. The mocha latte i got was decent, definitely competitive with most other Houston coffeeshops. The decor for students and working people here is really Segundo's selling point, since the floor to ceiling windows and industrial vibe really comes together well. Seating and outlet availability are fine, and the place has really been making an effort to accommodate more seats--definitely more seats than when I first started coming here. Unfortunately, what ruined the experience for myself and several other patrons was that a teenager, probably a relative of an employee or a patron, was making several customers incredibly uncomfortable by shooting a toy pistol at random people behind their backs and weirdly laughing. Multiple other patrons and myself noticed this and felt uneasy, and after a couple rounds of him walking by the seating area, customers were getting up and leaving. While I can understand reasons for bringing certain people, even if he was a restaurant patron as well, this sort of behavior is unacceptable and should have prompted a response by staff. One shudders to think what could have happened if he had walked up to an off-duty policeman or veteran and popped his toy pistol behind his head. TLDR; until now, I really loved this place for its beautiful scenery, work ability, and decent coffee. Wi-Fi is robust, floor to ceiling lighting is a selling point, but the inaction of employees with this kind of unacceptable behavior ruined my own and other peoples' experience.

Yelp
Found this gem thanks to Yelp - so thank you, Yelpers! There is so much to appreciate about this new coffee shop located in the East End. First, it's located inside the revamped Ironworks Building, so there's plenty of onsite and street parking. They have a lot of seating, so it's a great spot to get some work done, read, or just chat with friends. And it's dog-friendly (yes, you can bring your fur babe inside, but there's also some outdoor seating). The menu offers everything from coffees and teas to beer, wine, and some sodas. Their turmeric oat milk tea is lovely, as well as their iced chai. Coffees are roasted by Little Dreamer Coffee. And they also have pastries from Koffeteria, and occasional breakfast tacos from a local restaurant (one vegan taco option too).

Yelp
While the huge iron door at the entry may seem intimidating, don't let that stop you from being lured by good music and the smell of coffee beans and breakfast tacos. Whether you're on the go and need a quick coffee with an "elevated pick me up" or want to set up your remote office for the day, Segundo Coffee Lab is a dope place to check out. Full Review Below Menu Segundo Coffee Lab's (SCL) Spanish-influenced menu sets the stage for a quality caffeinated morning. The lab offers a variety of signature beverages, such as the Tes Con Leches (Milk Teas) with bold flavors such as red velvet, honeydew, and Tumeric, in addition to the Spanish coffee classic, Cafe De Olla. SCL also leaves room for the classic espressos, house drips, and latte's with a variety of syrup flavors and milk options for a small upcharge. Sidenote: I recommend all coffee bars consider ditching the upcharge for alternative/plant-based options. For my fellow latte lovers, the Honey-Lavender latte sits on the taste buds well with its warming, mellow sweetness. As for grub, SCL offers breakfast tacos, pastries, and sweet treats to accompany your caffeinated cup. If you can pop in on the weekends, try the barbacoa tacos. If you really have an appetite, check out the tamales and empanadas. No worries for my vegetarian/vegan friends; there are options for you. Lastly, for my folks who like to have a little fun, are living their best holistic wellness life, or are simply open-minded to new things, I recommend adding some CBD or Delta 8 to your drink. It adds a fantastic elevating element fit for the perfect coffee experience. Besides, if you visit a coffee shop with an attached dispensary, you should enjoy all the offerings. Staff & Service While SCL doesn't have the bubbliest baristas, everyone seems to have a quiet, chill vibe. While other baristas may focus on casual convo with patrons, SCL taps into getting through the line quickly and efficiently. Sidenote: I applaud their commitment to latte art amid a busy morning rush. Aesthetic & Amenities Segundo Coffee Lab is nestled in the front corner of the Ironworks market/workspace building in Houston's Eastwood. The industrial warehouse-style building transforms containers into chic mixed-use structures for small businesses, art pieces, and work spaces for community members. Cool, natural lighting beams in from the huge loft windows, and sounds of Alternative/Indie/R&B fill the room, making for a chill, euphoric experience. The seating is pretty good. SCL offers high tables, standard rounds, and cozy sofas/love seats/accent chairs. An element I enjoyed was the dining-style coffee table. SCL is remote work friendly as high tables along the walls have nearby power outlets, and windows provide excellent lighting for virtual meetings. While the Ironworks building is quite large, the SCL space isn't overbearingly loud, so there's definitely space to focus when needed. Further, wifi is available (be sure to keep your receipt), bathrooms are clean, and there's plenty of free parking adjacent to the building. Final Thoughts Overall, Segundo Coffee Lab is a dope coffee spot in Houston with exciting offerings that make for a unique experience. With its adjoining dispensary with many offerings, such as Delta 8 products, CBD, and other holistic goodies, the lab curates a vibey, modern space for professionals, creatives, and local community members to thrive and enjoy a quality cup of coffee. Whether for a coffee date, work session, or Saturday self-care, Segundo Coffee Lab and the entire Ironworks Building are dope places to check out.

Yelp
Solid four stars. I think it's really cool they turn the old manufacturing spot where they made BOPs at into a coffee shop. That is really cool actually. According to them this is where the first BOPs were made in the world. I stoped by because I saw the tacos they carry on IG and thought let me go check this place out. The tacos were okay. Not the greatest, not the world. Middle of the mall type tacos. Like riff Raf would say. The coffee was decent. I had to get a different one because the first one I got was quite bitter. They were nice brought to remake. I would definitely stop in or meet clients here for a quick meeting. Really cool set up with great decor. Very spacious. The people that work there are friendly. Definitely supper local business. I think they have been here a few months now. Give them a shot!

Yelp
I made a pit stop at Segundo Coffee Lab specifically for the breakfast tacos. The building has a free parking lot across the street that made this an easy stop. It took me a second to find Segundo Coffee Lab, but I didn't mind wandering around the market place for a couple minutes. I was able to order right away and opted for an iced Pinguino Latte which was ready at the pickup counter a couple minutes later. I only ordered 2 tacos, because I didn't know how big they were. The cashier only told me that they were a "pretty good size" which means "average to large" or "filling" to me. I ended up waiting for about 15 minutes for my tacos, before going back to the cashier to ask for an ETA. I guess the tacos were in a hot case, and she was able to just hand me the 2 small, street-sized tacos. The breakfast tacos were fantastic when I finally got them. Bacon and chorizo were equally satisfying. Overall a successful solo breakfast, even though the my tacos got lost in the process somewhere. The flavorful coffee and tacos made up for the misses.

Yelp
I could spend all day here This coffee shop is inside a warehouse where they have a bunch of shipping containers as stores! Delicious coffee, yummy pastries and a cool laid back vibe to work or unwind. If you're so blessed to catch it as we were, there's a barista that sings while she's preparing your order (angelic ). Once you're done reading, studying or working- you can browse the other shops...local artisans/shopkeepers that sell everything from clothes and jewelry to handmade soaps and artwork.
