A Disappointing Dining Experience – Overpriced and Underwhelming
I recently visited this restaurant for a solo dinner, despite noticing its relatively high prices. Hoping for a quality meal, I ordered a lentil soup (120 TL) and a kebab plate (420 TL).
Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start. The lentil soup was, without exaggeration, the worst I’ve had in Istanbul. It lacked depth of flavor and, surprisingly, was not even accompanied by a simple wedge of lemon—a basic expectation for this dish.
The main course was even more disheartening. For 420 TL, I expected a satisfying portion, but what arrived was merely two small pieces of kebab, barely enough for four bites. Considering the pricing, neighboring restaurants offer far more generous portions and superior quality at a fraction of the cost. The value for money here was simply unacceptable.
To make matters worse, when I paid in cash (600 TL), the staff did not initially return the correct change, only doing so after an uncomfortable three-minute wait. This, combined with the lackluster food and inflated prices, left me feeling taken advantage of.
In conclusion, this establishment fails to deliver on both food quality and service, making it an unfortunate experience overall. I strongly recommend avoiding it and opting for better alternatives nearby.
