I debated writing this review because I generally am pretty understanding and I know, having worked in restaurants for many years, and my family owning and operating restaurants, the impact a bad review can have overall. However, after a few days of thinking on it, I felt compelled to leave a note for the management of this restaurant. Two of my best friends and I came in on a busy Monday night. We waited to be sat for our reserved table (which is fine I don't mind waiting), but as we were waiting, a two top came in, clearly 'VIPS', clearly walk-ins, and was sat immediately at a 4 person table that had been empty since we arrived; then another couple came and was sat for a reservation time after us. Again, busy night, okay, fine. We get to the patio and it is packed. And windy.
During the course of our dinner, which was going okay, but at a certain point a couple comes and sits on the patio and lights up two cigarettes while their SUPER loud dog sat and yelped in one of the chairs. You also can't help but be distracted by their huge propane heaters. The patio is warped, so they shake and are very unsturdy. The entire time other tables were asking the staff to shift them around and at one point we have about 4 of them within a foot of our table in the center of the patio. My friends and I were having a serious conversation and all of a sudden, one of the heaters quickly fell HARD onto my friend's back and her head. The fact that nothing caught fire on our table was an absolute miracle, but it definitely caused a scene and we had other guests asking if we were okay and checking on my friend, who kept insisting she was okay, but was, as we all were, in shock - however the pain hit her throughout the next few days. Once the heater was lifted off the table, not ONE person on the staff or the manager came to apologize or offer to move our table to another spot. What if it had been a baby, or an elderly person? SHAME ON management for this behavior, we expect a response!!
