A great place to find local & handcrafted products located in the heart of Norfolk. It’s close to the library. Support local!

We are so grateful to have Selden Market in Norfolk. Not only is it a vibrant hub for independent businesses, but it also carries a rich history. As a local, the Selden family and name are very well known so it is nice to see the legacy maintained. We have recently learned that the Selden Market is a "retail incubator" for local, small businesses. This is even more reason to support the businesses here. Conveniently located in the heart of the city, Selden Market is easy reach of many other Downtown landmarks and services. It's got several tasty food options as well as retail spaces with specialty items from local artisans. The quality and uniqueness of the items are amazing. It is also directly connected to a parking garage/hotel as well as to the Slover Library. Whether you’re a visitor or a local, please check this place out. You won't be disappointed!

Nice little assortment of small local shopfronts and coffee/ tea places. Some shopfronts were empty and I would’ve spent more time if there was more open but overall nice quality of goods. Highlights were potted tea shop and Norfolk candle co.

As a mum, I absolutely loved visiting Selden Market in Norfolk, VA. It’s such a refreshing spot to take a little break from the chaos of everyday life. The local vendors offer such unique finds—everything from handmade jewelry to funky home decor—and I even managed to pick up a cute gift for a friend without breaking the bank. The vibe is relaxed, with friendly shop owners who genuinely care about their craft, and there’s always something new to discover. My little one enjoyed the open, cozy atmosphere, and the nearby coffee shop saved the day when nap time got delayed. It’s the perfect place to support local businesses while enjoying a little me-time.

Selden Market is such a hidden gem in Downtown Norfolk! The mix of small businesses, handmade goods, unique fashion, and local food vendors makes every visit feel fresh and exciting. The atmosphere is welcoming, creative, and full of personality—you can tell the vendors put real heart into what they do. It’s a great place to support local, find one-of-a-kind gifts, and discover new favorite shops. Love being part of this amazing community!

There is a new restaurant in the strip called "Amale Tre Focacceria", The Best Italian Sandwiches and Pizza I have ever had! So delicious, bread was so soft, ingredients so fresh, he makes everything from scratch, sauce, mozzarella, the breads, pesto (which was the best pesto ever)... everything!! Will eat here any chance I get! 😋 So So Good!

Yelp
Selden Market is such a cool little gem in the heart of Norfolk. It's full of small, local businesses and has a creative, welcoming vibe that makes it perfect for a casual evening stroll or a quick stop if you're looking for something unique. Whether you're browsing for gifts, grabbing a bite, or just exploring, there's usually something interesting going on. I love how it gives small businesses a space to shine. Definitely worth checking out if you're in downtown Norfolk and want to support local or find something a little off the beaten path.

Yelp
I noticed this small indoor shopping center while visiting downtown Norfolk. I walked through to see what stores there were but nothing was really open after 5pm. There is a restaurant but they were having a private event and there was also a shop that did 3D printing which was cool to look through the windows to see what was being printed. I saw a bunch of signage stating they were doing some future renovations and new shops would be coming in. I look forward to checking out the pop up vendors on my next visit.

Yelp
So cool! A few funky boutiques for unique items, tourist items and tasty treats. Check it out, worth it.

Yelp
Selden market is a closed walk though market in the heart of downtown. You can find pop-ups, a Made in Virginia store and so much more that rotate through according the season. Dining options within walking distance. If you're having a hard time finding parking; the Mac Arthur Mall SOUTH parking is only about 10 mins at a brisk walk to the Selden Market Arcade
google avatar

Yelp
There's just nothing really there except some good and a couple of vendors. Wasn't worth the walk.

Yelp
Two weekends ago, Sophia and I drove here to one of our favorite spots in Hampton Roads. Smores Amore was holding their 6th anniversary and it was a long time since we've stopped in for a visit. But a little bit about this location. Selden Market is a shopping center located out on the Waterside District. Located inside are retail shops and eateries, with some of them being pop-up stations. We first came here during the pandemic running into S'mores Amores before they obtain their own permanent section. The one thing I love about this is they have so many options to choose from. Recently, after dining in at Granby Waffle Shop, I found out they have some new businesses: Potted, which is a plant nursery, and Amale Tre Focacceria, which serves Italian fare. For the price of items, they seem reasonable and within budget. Nothing that'll scream out 5-star dining. And if you prefer to eat inside, there are plenty of tables in the area. We've done it before and had no issues at all. Parking is inside starting on the 3rd level if you're not staying in the adjacent hotel and you can pay per your ticket upon exiting the door or at the ticket machine before you drive outside. We were actually lucky to snag a parking spot right outside the back entrance located by Granby Waffle Shop and The Stockpot. Pure luck indeed :) Well there you have it. A diverse selection of retail shops and eateries for various crowds. Definitely can't beat that for a nice city like Norfolk.

Yelp
Go here and explore! Worth just a walk through to window shop the stores and if you make it out without trying one of the many food, coffee and snack places then you are better than me! Definitely a must visit if you're in the Norfolk area and walking around!

Yelp
Went to the Filipino American Heritage Day Vendor Market this past weekend and had a really nice time. It was fun browsing around the different pop up vendors and the stores, as well. The vibe was enhanced by live music which was a fun addition! Shopping local is always fun to me especially when there re such creative people displaying their talent. I also like how there are four restaurant, two at each end, for those who want the sit down experience. Check it out!

Yelp
I love Selden Market. Located in the historic Selden Arcade, this incubator of small businesses showcases a rotating lineup of the city's up-and-coming concepts in retail and food. The current tenants have their own shops and spaces with regular pop-up tenants running down the middle. I frequent Selden at least once a week and there is always something new to see from either the tenants or the pop-ups. This is a space of creatives and makers and they're giving their best. One of my frequent complaints, when I was a younger resident of the 757, was that there was nothing TO DO downtown except eat. Selden fixes part of that problem with their monthly events like vintage Sunday, the Baker's Market, candle-making classes at Sugar & Grace, the 757 plant swap, and more. This team is excellent at curating gatherings for people with diverse interests and I hope we get more spaces like this as Downtown Norfolk continues to grow.

Yelp
The building was smaller than I expected it to be. Cool spot for you to see small businesses. We got some really amazing waffles while they were here. It was quick for us. Wasn't worth the $10 parking fee in my opinion. I would say overall 5-6 out of 10. I would say check the website and see which businesses are here during your visit.

Yelp
5 star shops that were there. I'm giving Selden Market a 4 because 1/2 of the stores were EMPTY. My husband felt the same. We just felt like we were missing out on a 5 star experience. A few of my friends turned me onto Selden Market and they speak highly of the shops. I don't live close so we made a special trip. I did all my research before going. I looked up all the yelp reviews. Made my list of awesome sounding shops. We first stopped into Pure Lagos. It was so colorful it pulled me in. 5 star S'mores Amore was our next stop. This store was the top of my list and well worth my visit. 5 stars for sure Next was Slide Thru #FAM. Lumpia was the best. 5 star Next we had to visit Vessel Craft Coffee. Didn't know coffee could be that good. 5 star. We saw a sign for a couple of shops but no one there. We went on a Saturday because the reviews I read Saturday more shops would be there. So why were some just not there? We felt a little disappointed. But I am going to give the shops we went to great reviews

Yelp
Discovered a new pip up shop location today. Had never heard of Selden Market but I see it has a lot to offer. There are some stand alone shops but a lot of the sellers are pop shops. Lots of cool places to check out.

Yelp
Place is awesome for pop up shops. Finding hidden gems. Great for supporting local and small businesses. There is a plethora of "good eats" available! From Smores! Fresh baked bread! Cookies! Filipino food! Desserts! Coffee! Fashion lovers- there's local artisans who makes jewelry. Candles. Cards. Face masks. Vintage clothing! Boutiques. You name...they have it. They have certain shops that are constant. BUUUUTTTT the pop up ones are the best! You never know what you will randomly buy! If you are looking for a gift that you know no one else will get....then this would be the place! Best time to go is during the weekend.

Yelp
I haven't visited many times since my last review. Don't get me wrong, I still embrace the idea behind this indoor bizarre (low cost space for startups and small business to setup) along with the benefits of developing close relationships with owners/brands and other loyal customers. It's great for area companies or habitual visitors to downtime looking for artisan treats and treasures. My challenge is distance and convenience. I'm seldom (Seldom Market?) in the area, and when I am, it's usually not during their business hours. When you factor paying to park, I'm less likely to make a special trip. I due hope shops thrive and that the market grows; if ever in the area during open hours, I'll try to do my part, especially at Vessels coffee and S'mores Amore!

Yelp
I was a bit surprised to have found Selden Market. I was actually on the search for a particular small business, and it happened to be located inside this building. At first, I believed it a typical indoor mall that I was walking into - however, I was pleasantly surprised that Selden Market was more of an indoor area where up-and-coming small businesses rotate to showcase their ideas to the public. Pretty neat! Vendors range from vintage clothing, handmade/artisan goods, accessories, footwear, apparel, coffee, jewelry, toys, and eateries. There are also pop-ups and events, such as wellness classes and kid-friendly activities. I didn't find any, but I wished there was some type of a projector or some type of a brochure, displaying where a specific vendor/stand was located. I am thinking that maybe the Market is also encouraging you to peruse and check out the different businesses along the way to your destination! Limited paid parking in the area. +rotating small businesses +pop-ups +various events +limited parking

Yelp
The boy and I were looking to grab a good cup of coffee before battling the beach traffic home. Yelp led us to Selden Market, a local pop-up featuring everything from food, crafts, vintage, toys, jewelry, stationary, and all the eye candy you can imagination! This hip little enclave is home to artists and makers a like! I drooled over the dainty necklaces and earrings at Lorak Jewelry, browsed over the crystal and palo santo selection at Velvet Witch, perused over the inventive Vietnamese-Filipino fusion menu at Slide Thru (my only regret was they were closed at 11 am in the morning!), and got a caffeine jolt at Vessel Craft Coffee. It was well worth the detour and I was really impressed with all the local flavor this little market had to give. For gifts or just a beautiful place to look around, this hidden spot is your go-to!

Yelp
Very nice gem in Norfolk! Similar to farmer's market but with local small business stalls in the center and standing shops/ restaurants inside! Small business vendors when I was there ranged from baked goods, organic artisanal soaps and body scrubs, and art. Houses some great restaurants and the Slover Library . Overall very clean and had tables to sit at in the center. See my picture for information on parking validation for garage nearby! There is some metered street parking as well.

Yelp
Two UP Two Down...VA for life! Hampton Roads taught me the importance of creating space and opportunities for others by genuinely sharing your time and talents with the community! So, I was ecstatic when I discovered the Vintage Sunday + Clothing Swap pop-up event at Selden Market in downtown Norfolk this weekend! Selden Market is a fabulous collaborative space for emerging entrepreneurs to sale their hand crafted artistry, food, and merchandise to the public. The Event Coordinators, Sydney and @dej.rae informed my cousin, Denice and I that Selden Market holds similar pop up events quarterly. Note: The vendor booth rental rate is only $50 a day and reduced to $25 for pop-up events. Also, while at the event we met @savannah_curls. She was selling artisan hair and skin products free of additives to promote healthy hair growth and skin. Denice and I was impressed with her presentation of the products. My cousin purchased the oil free topical geared toward tension alopecia.

Yelp
Beautiful location that I've never noticed before, but can't wait to visit again! Located right by the grain, it is a tucked in gem. My friends & I visited for "Vintage Sunday's" which we saw advertised on one of the vendor's instagram. It's like a little hall of pop-up shops and I loved the vibes! Everyone was so sweet and welcoming amongst the variety of shops they had around. Unfortunately I'm taking a break from sweets & we just had brunch next door, so I wasn't able to partake in the goodies the shops had available but they looked great! There were at least 10+ vintage sellers inside with varying styles (and prices). Somewhat reasonable, but we did purchase a couple things. There was also a store called Velvet Witch with many 'witch' crafty things and I loved how knowledgeable the owner/employee was about everything. Definitely a place I'll come back to visit to see all that they have to offer. Also interesting that Slover Library + more are directly connected!

Yelp
What a perfect place to shop small and shop local!!! I feel like every tine I'm in the area I'm finding a new gem and Selden Market is clearly added to that list!!!! If the outside does not call to you the inside definitely will!!! Shops ranging from in variety provide a little something for everyone to enjoy!! Best thing is because most of the shop owners are locals, they can each give you their own perspective on what to see, what to do and where to go!

Yelp
Based on reviews from other sources I had in my head that this was similar to Faneuil Hall in Boston, or Charleston's marketplace with lots of vendors, artisans, etc. So we decided to head there first and then plan the rest of our day in Norfolk from there. Well, I was completely wrong. There are only a few stores amongst the restaurants, and other than the store selling wares made in Virginia, nothing I was interested in. We spent maybe 20 minutes, then moved on to other activities. It was an interesting walk-thru, but I wouldn't go out of my way to see it.

Yelp
I usually don't venture to Norfolk for shopping, but after visiting Selden Market that might have to change. I stopped by on a whim after I ran race at Town Point Park. I had seen a few of the shops on Instagram and figured I would pop in just to see what it was all about. Since I didn't want to be on my feet too long- I just did two quick laps around the market to see where and what everything was. Then I went to a few of the shops that really bought my attention- skipping the food options because I had already eaten. The Selden Market has modular spaces that can accommodate a variety of pop up and long term businesses. The center of the market seems to change frequently. I visited on Saturday morning and again on Sunday afternoon and was heartbroken that S'mores Amore wasn't open for me to score some s'mores after my Sunday race. Lesson learned- don't assume you know Selden Market just because you have been there before. That's what I think is so great about it,; even though now Im still bummed I have to wait to get my hands on S'mores Amore! The shops on the outside seem to be more long-term. I enjoyed my coffee from Vessyl and chatting with one of the managers at POP Toys. Both shops have been long term residents at Selden Market. Keep in mind however, this is a space built for up-and-coming businesses to thrive together before out-growing their space and moving on. There is a little bit of everything though from artists to a toy store. The prices were all more of a "premium" price tag which didn't bother me just browsing, but may have sent me elsewhere me if I had been shopping for something specific. The good news is, the quality of items generally matched the price tag pretty fairly. Everything is very bright and clean with several plants throughout to bring the space more life.It was noticeably quieter on Sunday afternoon, but there were more vendors on Saturday. I'll definitely be back soon to spend some more time checking out all of the different shops and checking out what they bring in next!

Yelp
Maybe Covid? Maybe not? This place was kind of a Ghost Town... A lot was closed, some shops were very niche... Unless you knew exactly why you were going there... there was nothing to see. A few people went for a specific food place.
google avatar

Cristina Cici B.

Yelp
What I love about Selden Market is the sense of community amongst all the traders, the small businesses that are mostly made up of local people, and the cool items available. Whilst it is on the pricier scale, chances are you won't find the unique things in here elsewhere - or you will, but they aren't artisan and are probably mass produced. I'm a big Vessel Craft Coffee fan, and a doughnut from Doughminion Donuts always goes down well with my nitro brew - they're my first stop when I'm Downtown. If you're looking for a unique gift, try this place first before you head anywhere else and support local businesses, especially these cool start ups. I love how there's access to the Slover Library through here, and also that come rain or shine, it won't ruin your Selden Market experience as it's covered indoors.
google avatar

Jeannine C.

Yelp
Not like it used to be prior to COVID. There are hardly in stores in there now. And only 2 food shops. Not the Selden Markets fault but hopefully as the world opens up more shops will return. The only thing I can say is for the parking I would suggest parking in The Main Hotel parking garage because this place is located in downtown Norfolk, so you can imagine how bad the parking is on the streets. Also if you do park in The Main Hotel garage, its easier to get to the market because the hotel garages elevator will take you directly to the Selden Markets floor.
google avatar

Janelle L.

Yelp
It is a nice place near the mall. I usually like to go to the waffle shop and the Stockpot in there.
google avatar

Yelp
I have decided it was time for an updated review during my second trip to the market! My experience this go round was much better not to mention the fact that there are more vendors to choose from. The market on Saturdays is pretty busy at least it was this time with performers performing an authentic Filipino dance routine. My friend, my mom, and I decided to stop in after visiting Slover. The location is perfect especially with it being in downtown Norfolk adding a sense of more small businesses to choose from. The aroma of Slide Thru FAM smelled so good! (Maybe next rime), but we did stop by the Smore amore both, the owner was very sweet, we tried samples, and the Golden flavor won! You can get a sweet treat with a fun experience of watching the staff add a marshmallow toasting (like a real campfire) it taste even better this way. These sweet treats run about $3.50. All in all good trip to the market!
google avatar

Yelp
It's a neat little marketplace to check out some cool places. One of the cool things about Selden Market is that there are unique goods and great food. Great vibe to come out with friends if you're looking to explore. Awesome way to support small local businesses!
google avatar

Maria G.

Yelp
Selden Market was a place that you can find some good finds from local businesses. It wasn't crowded on a Saturday afternoon that I went. It was also not as big as I thought it would be, so that was a little disappointing. But as short as this review is, is as the adventure here was! LOL!
google avatar

Alison M.

Yelp
So Selden Market is a great idea and I LOVE the thought that small pop-ups and start-up businesses can rent a space here for relatively cheap (I hope) prices to gain a following. I know Doughminion Donuts started here and are moving to a more permanent location after a few years of loyal following. I've had this on my list of places to visit for a few months and decided yesterday to venture down to downtown Norfolk (unheard of usually unless I'm going to MacArthur for a quarterly visit or a Dr. appt). I parked in the Main St. garage which is about $1.50 per hour and is directly across from the downtown Marriott and easily walked - it's like 2 minutes and still pretty much connected to the building. If you aren't sure where it is - it's between the Marriott and the new Hilton on Main. When I arrived a sax player was at the entrance busking. Kind'a charming. It was about an hour before close and a Sunday so a lot of the shops were closed and there wasn't a lot of foot traffic, but I was able to wander around and see what was going on. It's not a lot of shops - there is a toy store, D'Egg is here, a coffee shop, a jewelry store, a few arts stores, a skate store, a leather good store, a burger place, and it is attached to the library as well. I don't know if it would be a solid 4 starts - maybe more like 3 or so - but I want to give it 4 for the fact that this is an awesome place and a great idea and simply knowing that there are things like this available to folks who want to branch out and start something on their own is fantastic. If you are already in Norfolk - or want to spend the day exploring - this should be on your list for sure. You might find some cool things from local sellers. Always a win.

Yelp
I love Selden market! I love the idea of it and the vibe! My favorite are the plant swaps! I do wish they had more shops but hopefully with time!

Yelp
After hearing so much hype about this place we decided to visit. This place is just OK!! It looks like the start of something good and minimalist, hope they grow more in the future, just don't expect to find to much in terms of clothes and other things. It is located near Slover library also close near parking garage so parking not a problem for this place.
google avatar

Rushelle T.

Yelp
This place is so my scene! Everything looks minimalistic with indoor plants. The bistro string lights gives it a great touch. I give the interior decorations an A+++. We came around 7 o'clock and it was pretty dead. The outside is still under construction so you can't even tell if they're open or not. You can also enter this place through The Main and I think Slover Library. They only have a couple of stores open for business. They have coffee and donut shop, a clothing and jewelry store, handbags, soap, wood furniture, plants, toys, pastries, and other cool stuff. It's a great place to hang out and walk through for quick bites and buys if you don't have time to go to the mall or what not. Support your local businesses.
google avatar

Martha R.

Yelp
I'm on a business trip from out of town and stumbled across Selden Market in the middle of the day on a Friday. I loved how it has several small vendors and a nice cool place to walk around and have a few small eats and poke around in the shops. I wish it had more but I think it's still getting more vendors. I got a Lavender Fizz tea from Vessel, a Bun-mi from Slide Through, and a couple s'mores from S'mores Amore.
google avatar

Yelp
Nice change of scenery for the area! Resurrected from an old art studio, by what I remember, comes a cute spot to see some local creations! There were stores that I've never seen before outside of these walls. Tiny kiosks here and there with easy access from the street. Okay parking nearby and the surrounding buildings architecture are beautiful. I stopped in here to pick up a wood piece from some friends that are more into wood than beavers. Stop by if you're in the area. It's pretty obvious which cubby-hole is theirs! I didn't stay long in here but I got enough of a taste that I want to head back soon to see if anything new has popped up. I'd like to thank Norfolk for providing such a place for artists/creative types to express their work and make a buck or two! The six cities will hopefully have something like this one day. I hope that the advertising for the tiny shops inside of this gem pick up somehow. The people of this beautiful city deserve it!

Yelp
This is a place no one should miss on the visit to Downtown Norfolk. Inside this small mall is a Maker Space connected to the Slover library. My fav coffee spot is Vessel where you can purchase Nitrogen infused coffee. Also, the donut spot is a favorite for the teens in your life. The donut was HUGE and filling. The lemon poppyseed was great and fueled my teens for the next 2 hours. I also love that new businesses have a chance to set up and sell at the monthly popup. Today I had Philippino chicken and rice with a mango chutney. My teen ordered from the s'mores popup. And if you are into handmade bags, check out Werther Leather Goods. Handmade bags and leather goods are available, including a ring bearer pouch. If you want toys, stop by POP or Power of Play. Coolest toys for young and old. Best balls ever. Food, shopping, and the library all in one place. Take time to enjoy the Selden. You won't regret it!

Yelp
I decided to take my family exploring out in Norfolk today. The weather called for it. So we checked out Selden Market. Such a cute and sweet place. A lot of the local shops have set up shop in this market. Some of my favorites were Hummingbird Macarons and Doughminion Donuts. Connected to the Slover Library, this market definitely calls the whole family out. We cannot wait to make another visit here!
google avatar

Kathryn M.

Yelp
This marketplace houses local artists rather it be in food, apparel, or just services. Hubby and I came here on a Saturday and it was poppin'! We heard live music being played. There was a coffee shop. I could see all types of food vendors trying to put their name out there. We tried #SlidethruFam with their filipino handhelds. There is also a husband wife team selling smores in their unique kind of way. Attached to the market is Slover Library. Maker Space is also connected to the library and definitely worth your time to visit and see what it's all about. I love the idea of local business coming together for the greater good...and that would be to share their passions with other in the community. You'll find this here at Selden.

Sharon M.

Yelp
It was our first time, my two daughters and me. It was a nice place with little shops. We were able to grab dessert from S'mores Amore. That was delicious! We walked into Slover Library and enjoyed our afternoon there. There was an event celebrating Black History month. Definitely be back and try other businesses there!
google avatar

Nita W.

Yelp
Building is beautiful. The existing shoppes inside are and it also connects to the Slover library. It isn't a place locals would go to buy everyday things, but maybe something specific. Needs more shoppes to make it more of a destination then a side stop. Remember- you have to deal with the hassle of downtown parking and paying.
google avatar

Jeff Y.

Yelp
I want to rate this place higher just because of the potential of what this place could be, but 3 Stars is what this place is right now. Located right next to the Slover Library near MacArthur Center is a small strip of specialty shops. You can find artisan jewelry, retro fashion, and some small eateries. Aesthetically, this is an Instagrammer's dream. The idea of Selden Market is that local startup businesses have a place to set up shop and attract customers. It offers fantastic location, though foot traffic can still be difficult. When we were there on a Saturday afternoon, there was hardly anyone in the entire market. We took a look at some of the shops and were turned off by the gaudy prices immediately, and understood why none of the businesses were very busy.
google avatar

Crystal R.

Yelp
What a cute Marketplace with small local businesses. I like walking into a place and discovering those small personal touches. There were definitely some cool spots. It's a great place to buy unique vintage clothing, purchase some unique art, and purchase a great cup of coffee, food, and desserts. The ambiance is intimate and small, it is the perfect place to visit local vendors. It add's a unique touch to the Norfolk Downtown area.

Yelp
Ventured out to the Grand Opening of the Selden market this afternoon. I had heard a lot of PR buzzing around this location on the news, facebook and other social media and needed to check it out for myself. Upon arrival, Norfolk has a done a great job with a sense of overall arrival but not so with the S.M. The entry of the building is still under construction and lacks that welcoming luster like many of the surrounded bldgs. There was actually a mother with her children who almost didn't walk in if it wasn't for me blazing the way. Meh, reminded me of New York city, always under construction somewhere... Parking: I parked at the lot over by Blue moon and ended up paying $10, ugh. The moral of the story is: there is no private parking for this venue. I totally get what they are trying to do here and love the concept: providing young businesses with retail space that won't break the bank while in the start up phase. The stores are lined on 2 sides and smaller kiosk style "stores" in the middle. There is a shared kitchen for store owners that need food prep. The grand opening was pretty busy: there was a raffle, live music and adult beverages for purchase while pursuing. Some of the stores included: donut shop, speciality coffee shop, toy store, leather bag company, jewelry store and a few other unique venues. Personally, I spent 6 minutes walking around and was done... Again loved the concept but something was missing from the experience that I can't put my finger on....Best of luck to all the business owners!

Yelp
So for the weekend outing thought we would try this location for a little Christmas shopping and maybe lunch. We had planned on spending the day in Norfolk and thought this would be a good place to start. So we parked in the nearby Garage and walked over. We walked and and were surprised at how small the place actually was after reading other reviews we just had I guess you would say Greater Expectations. So yes we did a walk through and all I can say is we encountered one disappointment after another. I think my wife and I both were expecting more of an Art theme and for some reason many of the food locations were closed. we expected to spend a couple hours in here and instead we were in and out in under one. Now time to find a good lunch spot!

Yelp
A nice surprise in the midst of the business dominated Downtown Norfolk. On a regular basis you can walk through the arcade and peer through the windows of several local artist studios. Some work and sell out of their spots and others host workshops. You might even catch an artist sitting outside their door working live. Make sure you always compliment them :) Currently a fundraiser sponsored by the Food Bank, CANstruction, features structures created out of canned goods by local architecture firms and school teams. There are some amazing structures and each team was really creative - check out the Angry Birds one! Who doesn't love a game of Angry Birds? Downtown Norfolk is really trying to revive their art scene and this is a nice staple to stem from. Check it out if you're ever in the area! It's just a nice place to walk around when I hit the carb coma at work and just need somewhere to hang.

Yelp
This is a lovely home to local business and is a must see if you are visiting downtown Norfolk. You can count on a warmly, friendly greeting upon entering the building. It is nice, neat, and clean inside as well. I have visited the Slide Thru #FAM restaurant here and my personal favorite, the S'mores Amore booth.

Yelp
This was my first time coming to the Selden Market since it opened and was in love with this market style! Love the lights and how each shop had its own unique style. It has 15-20 independently owned shop. Cute kiosks in the middle especially the Bohemery company which sold plants and cute little plant trinkets. It's a Sunday and we came super early shops weren't open until 11 am so the only shop open was Vessel Craft Coffee for those who needs coffee early in the morning. It is all connected to the Main, D'Egg diner, and Slover library. Eventually i would like to update my review once I come back with all the stores open.

Yelp
This place isn't like a mall, or even a market. It's basically a bunch of local small business owners and vendors. Their stuff is ridiculously cool, a bit overpriced. But very very neat. I picked up a Selena candle from Velvet Witch and am in love! I would've got a succulent ornament from one of the other vendors but, I decided against it. They have a burger place I didn't get to try but I'll come back to try it soon!

Yelp
What a fascinating and exciting hall way that full of Art Gallery outlet. Very small place though but enough to say a different types of creativity from abstract to representational art and figure art to portrait drawing. A tiny attraction located in Downtown Norfolk. It is also few steps away from the Town Point Park.
