Yelp
The ABSOLUTE WORSE, experience. I was there on 1/22/24 looking at a 2015 Xfinity QX70s, 65k mi. Although it had to be jumped off and needed an oil change, Al H. (my salesman) insisted "you're getting a new battery and an oil changed whether you like it or not." We laughed and completed the test drive. After the test drive, Al took the vehicle back while I waited. The General Manager, Scott started to converse with me and asked If I'd like to place a hold on the vehicle. I agreed to the hold of $1000.00. On 1/24/24, My Credit Union informed me that they we're unable to finance the vehicle because it was over 7 years old. Well, I contacted the dealership and informed them of the issues. Scott, then says, "Well you signed a Non-refundable partial payment, and I changed the oil and battery (which they were going to do anyway, so that's no favor for me) because you agreed to buy it by Monday Jan 29th" This was NOT a hold in which he asked me to sign. The form also stated that "Purchaser may cancel this contract and receive a full refund (Including any non-refundable partial payment made) at any time with written letter of cancellation. Well, I sent that email to Al on Wed 1/24/24. Al and Scott both stated that they need to contact the dealership's owner to see if he'd agreed to return my $1000.00. Of course, they didn't call me back so I continued to call them and Scott answers and say, "Look man, he's not returning your refund, it's not our fault your bank wouldn't finance the vehicle, you should check with your bank before coming here. At this point, I was livid and argued that You, Scott, LIED!! You said it was a hold. I requested that the Owner of the dealership call me which haven't happened. After the call ended, I contacted the consumer protection agency and Better Business Bureau and I am NOT giving up without a fight. Loyalty goes a Loonnnggg way and clearly Selden Motors lack that!!!.
