The Breakfast Club: 6 Soya Beancurd Places To Get Out Of Bed For

"Selegie may be something of a chain now with outlets all around the island and even delivery service, but it still serves up a mean traditional beancurd with dough fritters for breakfast on the go." - Rachel Tan

Selegie Soyabean at Upper Serangoon Road still serves our favorite, authentic soyabean curd and soya drinks. It’s great to see that the stall has undergone some upgrades—it's now brighter and more inviting, with a wider variety of options to cater to younger customers' tastes. In addition to their classic soyabean offerings, they now serve a selection of pastries, adding more variety to the menu. There’s also a small seating corner where customers can enjoy their treats on-site. Overall, it’s still as good as ever!

Selegie Soya Bean offers a decent, traditional taste with its creamy and mildly sweet soya bean milk, which is a comforting treat for many. However, the experience is somewhat marred by the poor quality of the takeaway utensils—the flimsy spoon bends easily, making it frustrating to use, and the thin, unstable bowl feels like it could give way at any moment. While the drink itself is enjoyable, the subpar packaging and utensils detract from the overall convenience and satisfaction, leaving room for improvement in presentation and practicality.

Not very late, yet alot of eatery already closing. Back to this all time fave soya beancurd that they were still opening for biz. First time eating their peanut fried bomb. Cos their fritters oos 😋 Updates : recently just went back again to have both cold soyabean drink & soya beancurd with red beans 😋

April 2025 Good soybean milk. Sadly gave us the wrong item, we need the soybean curd and the 鲜草、 but gave us the soy milk instead.

Yummy soybean. A cold bowl for $1.80 with plenty of sugary sauce. Fragrant, decadent, and tasty. Would eat again! Not crowded until it's like 7.30pm so come here early to get a seat!

The soymilk is smooth and not too sweet, they have other snacks here as well, service staff is good, they are attentive and prompt. Best is you can stop your car at the roadside and hop in and out. Parking is a issue if you drive here on peak hrs!

One of oldest traditional soymilk brands in Singapore. Although the shop has upated their menu with more trendy items, such as soymilk with bubbles and soy puddings, I always go back for their $1.80 classic soymilk without sugar. The staff is also also cool with customers like me who byo reusable cups/containers. Thumbs up for being so accommodating! The muffins are also quite popular, but I have never tried them before.
