This place has a wonderful atmosphere and the service was very friendly. The food is great diner food. I had the thanksgiving sandwich. The pizza was ok but, I’m mostly used to NYC style pizza, this was little thicker than that.

I came here with friends and my partner last Saturday around 7 pm. The service was good as it was almost empty, but they took a few mins to take our order. The diner looked that someone of us was gonna get a stomachache. I got the Californian burger, apparently, the last one. It looked good and the fries too. Overall it was okay. However, that burger gave me the worst food poisoning. At 3 am I was in the bathroom non stop. The worst part is that I was at a campground. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Honestly, I’m really disappointed with how this place is run. From the moment we walked in, the energy was off. My group and I came in friendly and polite — “Hi! Good morning! How are you?” — and got nothing back. No smile, no welcome, just a flat “How many people?” We said “eight,” and the host looked instantly tired and unenthusiastic. It was still morning! Was it really that bad for a group of people to come in after church to enjoy breakfast together? The diner looks nice in the front, but they seated us all the way in the back, where it felt like a plain storage room — four walls, a ceiling, lots of tables and chairs, and zero charm. The front had open space, but for some reason, we were placed in the back. At first, we brushed it off. But then we noticed something that didn’t sit right — the only other groups seated in the back were non-white, like us. That made the whole situation feel even worse. The service didn’t improve. We waited around 45 minutes just to place our order. When the server came by, we said clearly, “Just water for now, we’re ready to order our food.” They didn’t even acknowledge us — just dropped off the waters and walked away. When the food finally came, it was terrible. I ordered steak and eggs (medium) and got an overcooked steak and one scrambled egg. That was it. Overall, it was a disappointing experience from start to finish. The atmosphere might be nice if you’re sitting up front — but if you’re not white, don’t expect the same treatment. Save yourself the frustration and order somewhere else.

Eggs Benedict was delicious. They have a huge menu and a ton of selections including an entire pizzeria as well. Could’ve spent the entire weekend eating here for each meal with the variety they have. Sister said the French toast was amazing too. Good prices.

Waitress was great!!!! Only two stars though because my coffee and pancakes were good but eggs had way too much cheese. Took away from the taste. Potatoes, some were soft, some were hard as a rock, and corned beef was dry. Looked and felt like card board in my mouth. Just being real with my review because there are not too many restaurants up in the mountains to enjoy. The ones there should be up to standard not lackluster.

Great spot for food if you don't want to cook at your camp site...lol

We visited Kaaterskill Falls and stopped at a diner on our way back, hoping for a cozy experience. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a poor choice. The food was undercooked or overcooked and below par, and waiting 40 minutes for soup, salad, a sandwich, and appetisers felt excessive. We didn't want to complain since they were about to close, but we felt it was important to warn others: avoid this place during your visit. It’s a waste of money, and you won’t find the warm atmosphere or food you need after a hike.

My daughter stopped had breakfast on way back to Long Island and left her wallet there. I called spoke to owner who was very nice and he asked the waitress who had the wallet to call us same day and she did. She took it to post office same day and sent it back to us. You could tell by speaking with both of them how nice and honest they were. It’s really nice to know that people like this still exist. We thanked her appropriately. My daughter said food was great also. If you get the chance stop in and have some good food and meet some nice people. 🍳🍔🥩🍟🙂

Had the pleasure of stopping by here during a snowboarding weekend at Hunter Mountain. The menu is very extensive so if you're craving anything from a typical diner, they probably have it! I ordered the Roast Beef BLT triple decker and it was pretty good and very filling. I didn't touch much of the coleslaw but I'm pretty picky with that. The pickle and the fries were good though! Pretty standard for $15! The staff here are also kind, patient, and friendly. The interior is like a typical old school diner- booths style.

Stopped here today for a work lunch. Not the best ambiance, very "vintage" but the service was excellent & the food/prices met expectations. I had the Cuban Panini with Fries and was very pleased. I'd def return if I should work in area again in the future.

Super convenient diner near the North-South campgrounds in the Tannersville area. This is a small diner with some kind of pizza business combined with it but I stopped in to scarf down some breakfast before taking on a local hike. Service was good and the ambiance was casual. Food was really good with your typical diner options. I most certainly would stop by again if/when I'm in the area again.

Great diner with lots of food options. That being said, we are waiting for the bill at this diner. If I do not report for work tomorrow, it is because I perished awaiting for my bill. Service is kind of slow. Otherwise, everything else is good service-wise. I suspect that the operation runs with minimal staffing in both the front and back of the house. Despite all this, they have a good turn out of patrons on both times we ate here, breakfast and dinner.

The food was decent, albeit overpriced for a diner. The ambiance is that of a dialysis clinic, bad lighting, outdated decor and rickety tables. The most shocking was that when i asked for an alternative to tobasco for my eggs i heard some grumpy noise from the kitchen only to be told that they would charge me for a small cup of franks red hot. This is insane.

The food is always delicious and served in hefty portions. The ambiance is always the best in beautiful Tannersville. And the staff is also very nice and attentive. Selena's is our regular go-to when we are looking to eat at a diner.

If you're in the area and are looking for food, I'd recommend getting an omelette and coffee here. They have a vast menu, but omelettes are my go to at diners. The wraps looked good too. Selena's also had hot coffee and tasty hash browns. When I'm in the area again, I'd definitely stop back again.

First day of a ski trip to the Eastern Vail owned resorts and I drove from Cleveland to Haines Falls, NY to ski Hunter Mountain tomorrow. For dinner I decided to go with something simple and Selena's Diner seemed like a good choice. Located on Route 23A Selena's has a classic chrome and blue exterior and red, pink and chrome interior. The menu is extensive with American classics, Italian food, Pizza and a nice selection of seafood. Service was casual and friendly, they were busy doing quite a bit of takeout orders on this early Sunday evening. I took advantage of the Senior Specials and got the Eggplant Parmigana which came with a side salad and dessert. The salad was fresh and nicely presented. The Eggplant was very good, nicely fried and then topped with a bright tomato sauce and cheese. A side of spaghetti was topped with the same tomato sauce and together with the Eggplant made a generous dinner entree. For dessert I choose the rice pudding which was mild and slightly sweet; nice but it could have been better with something to pop the flavor such as raisins or cinnamon. Overall a great value at $14 for Seniors. If you are looking for a nice meal at a good price in the Hunter Mountain area Selena's Diner is a good choice. Nice people, good service, generous portions at a reasonable price. Plus it is always cool to have dinner in an old school diner.

Quick service and good food! We were done skiing at Hunt Mountain and decided to stop here. We would again! The bathrooms was very clean too!

A deliciously warm lunch in an area that's pretty barren with food options. My partner and I got a turkey club sandwich and corned beef and eggs. Prices are great. Service is great. Food is hot and honestly delicious. Classic diner interior. Highly recommend.

This place is DELICIOUS!! Stopped here after a hike and ordered a random mix of pizza, pancakes, and the appetizer sampler with the zucchini fries, onion rings, etc. everything was FRESH AND SO GOOD!!!! I wish I would have caught our waiter's name he was so great. All staff was friendly and its a huge menu. Breakfast all day. A must try!

Wait: this place serves pizza? Really? I'm from New York. I know decent pizza. I've been to Joe's, and Patsy's, I've had thin crust. I've had thick crust. I know from pizza. You cannot possibly get a decent pizza in a diner on the way to Hunter Mountain in the Catskills. It's physically impossible. I think I read it in a book somewhere. It turns out either my memory has gotten bad, with that book lied to me. The pizza here is terrific. As are the garlic knots, and the garlic bread. I was surprised that they wrapped a diner around a decent pizzeria. I live down the road from this place, so I get a pizza from here pretty often. There used to be another place down the road but their pizza was not as good and it was twice the price. Do yourself a favor: call ahead. They will have it waiting for you when you get there. There's no delivery service that I know of, but at least you don't have to sit around waiting for your pizza. Seriously. It's a decent pizza. In the Catskills. Ask anybody, I'm not lying to you.

We came here and I must say it was good. We had the steak quesadilla and the steak was really good. I also ordered the Italian wedding soup which had flavorful meatballs in it. My sister had a steak sandwich which she said was very delicious. I liked this place the service was very good and I look forward to coming back and trying other items.

Average diner if you're spending a weekend in the Catskills. Large menu with average options across the board for a cheap breakfast

Service was absolutely terrible. Watched our server go to every other table but ours when we had gotten there first. No one said hello when we walked in and we waited ten minutes for someone to walk over (with an attitude) to get our drinks. There were three hairs in our meal and the taste was awful. Won't be back.

Cozy diner with classic styling. The food is good and the staff is friendly. I got chicken parm and spaghetti off of the senior discount menu and it was quite tasty. I came with a hearty cup of soup, rice pudding for desert, and a coke. All in all, good food at a good price.

I have to honestly say that this is the worlds greatest diner - their tuna melt is magical, & so is all their other food. Clean inside, very friendly staff, & fair prices. I don't even love diners, & I love this place. Generous portions & incredible food - I love this place !

Idk how this place got such high ratings, place was ass. Food sucked and service was abysmal. If you want generic diner food that's bland this is your go to. The place was so ass that I had to come here and write a review

Amazing food and service! Fall off the bone charred chicken! One of the best chicken's I've ever had. The staff is super nice and the diner atmosphere is truly welcoming! Will definitely come back in the future. If I had to give it a more accurate rating definitely 9.45/10!

I found this place and I am so happy I did! They have an extensive menu of breakfast meals, lunch meals and dinner! I loved the costumer service and the food came out fairly quickly. Both the chicken fettuccini Alfredo and the burger were amazing! The chicken fettuccini Alfredo came a spinach soup on the side. The spinach soup was creamy, hot and had a variety of vegetables in it. Overall, I am excited to come back and try other meals on their menu!

After a hike in a nearby trail, my group was famished in search of food; oh boy did this diner deliver! As we were seated, the waitress claimed that the diner's specialty is pizza and that the wings are also great. After some deliveration due to the sheer quantity of choices from this old school diner menu, we ordered a large stuffed pizza with ranch chicken, wings, curly fries, and vegetables. For the stuffed pizza, I was expecting a stuffed crust; it was so much better! This was two pizzas baked on top of each other, with the toppings side facing (think pizza sandwich/calzone). The filling was delicious with the pizza itself giving a nice chew. Both the wings and curly fries provided the necessary crunch to immense satisfaction. Overall we were very impressed with the food at the diner and would recommend all hikers to check it out!

The worst customer service ever. Placed order at 6:05pm. Receive a call at 6:07 that part of my order was not available. Estimate delivery at that time was 7:01pm. Received an update on delivery, 7:51pm. Delivery service called because the restaurant didn't have the soda I selected, had to pick an alternate. Restaurant is 5 miles from lodge. Order arrived at 8:20pm. COLD. I ordered and paid for double cheese and pepperoni pizza. I received what looks like a generic frozen pizza with minimal topping. When I called the restaurant, they were not concerned at all. It is what it is. For $50 plus a medium (16") pizza should be at least warm.

Looks can be deceiving. Definitely check this place out. This place has some good wholesome food. Very happy with their breakfast. Eggs, pancakes and especially their sausage. Delish!

Selina's was good! Local diner, right on a major road, cozy old fashioned diner vibes and great food! The volume you get for those skillets were fantastico! The price was very good, especially compared to other restaurants in the area. We got breakfast food, and it did not disappoint. Both taste and quantity were satisfactory. One hiccup they made is that they forgot to include whip cream on my belgian waffle, which I believe I paid extra for. Also, not sure how belgian that waffle was. Fun fact, Selena Gomez has been here. But I'm pretty positive this diner was not named after her. Give Selena's a try before you try other places. I believe Selena's outcompetes neighbors in value.

We were looking for a breakfast spot on our way back home from camping nearby. We stopped by Selena's and they were able to accommodate a large group of 15+. The breakfast was great and i couldn't finish my entire portion of chocolate chip waffles, eggs, and fries. I wish they had turkey bacon but they only offer regular bacon/sausage/ham. The only negative part is the coffee. It's basically water.

Good eats! Typical diner food and really good service. We had the fried calamari as an app, juicy steak bits souvlaki platter w curly fries andddd it came with the most delicious cup of chicken tortilla soup so good! Everything was just like 12 bucks on a lunch special. I'm from NYC so prices like this are unheard of and definitely welcomed. Go here and if you're over 6ft...DUCK!

Amazing pancakes. Overall the menu had very reasonable prices. Nothing we ordered was not at least solid - but the pancakes were the best. Service was fast and great.. This diner is much better in everything than most Manhattan diners at about half the price.

Super cute! We had the Hungry Man Special and a Buffalo Chicken wrap. The buffalo was was spicy, but delicious! The Hungry Man was enormous! Excellent service, especially given how busy they were. We will be back!

Found Selena's while on a trip back home from Niagara Falls. We stayed in the Catskills in Hunter, NY. Selena's was the only restaurant open so we tried It is a cute little roadside diner and very clean. Service was great. Our food was very good and came out hot and prepared exactly as we requested. Coffee was good and hot. I would definitely eat there again if we're ever in the area.

Excellent food & service. We had the French dip - great au jus, sandwich & fries were perfect, and omelette with sausage and home fries with peppers & onions. Bagel on side was toasted with butter on the griddle. Cherry pie was delicious. Waiter was terrific and funny. All around great place.

Best option we found for lunch in Tannersville. We skipped the few "fancier" options just down the road and enjoyed real food with local history.

Neftali "Nick" Lopez has been operating Selena's Diner since 10-01-2000 and is a local landmark restaurant. They pride themselves on providing good food at reasonable prices with portions that won't disappoint. My favorite is to create my own chicken and waffles. I order their delicious golden Belgium waffle and a order of their awesome wings. Plain works. Combine them and your in heaven. The other best option is their biscuits and gravy. Yummmmmm! I also heard their pies are great but I was too full to try any of them. Definitely worth the trip to or from Hunter Mountain.

Great diner! My girlfriend got the breakfast (at 2pm) and I got the grilled chicken Italiano sandwich. All amazing! Fries were perfect, small cup of slaw, bacon done perfectly. The waiter was nice. We will be back

Only based on that one take out order I had. Ordered a spaghetti and meatball. Very very average but the sauce was a let down... basically just tomato sauce nothing extra like basil, on some spaghetti. This is probably more interesting for breakfast one day

This is our favorite diner by far!! Always so good. The wings are absolutely delicious and the Alfredo is my favorite meal. My girlfriend got the BBQ chicken salad special and it was yummy! French onion soup is always good as well. This was our first time eating inside the restaurant and the waitress was very delightful. Support this small diner and get some scrumptious food!!

This 5 star rating is based purely on a diner scale. Is this one of those trendy diners with 12 hour smoked brisket hash browns and buckwheat pancakes with a side of avocado toast? No it's not. It's a old school diner. It's got a cheeseburger deluxe platter that comes with a pickle and a small cup of Cole slaw. It's got the typical eggs and home fries breakfast served all day selections. It's got a senior menu for the old school crew that will stare at you when you walk in. They stare at other locals as well so don't think it's because you are a out of towner. They also serve pizza which is surprisingly good on a diner scale. Various pies and pastries? Check! Coffee not good but not terrible? Check! Waitresses that are nice but also won't take nonsense? Check! Get the check then pay at the front register? Check on that check.

We were looking for a place for early dinner. A lot of places are closed on a Tuesday here. We saw some great reviews and it was the closest to us. The ambiance was lack luster and the service okay which is the main reason for the 3 stars. Surprisingly the food was good. We ordered pancakes, pasta with white clam sauce and a portobello mushroom burger and calamari and zucchini fries. The pasta was pipping hot and huge portion. Had good amount of clam bits. Not too salty. Zucchini fries were also really good. The calamari pieces were small but not oily and good batter. Burger came with good amount of mushrooms and beef had good flavor. They do ask you how you want your burger cooked. Overall it was good for a quick dinner. No frills. Large portions. Would have given 4 stars if the service was a little friendlier and quicker. To be fair they only had one waitress when we arrived. Also they do serve breakfast all day long. Not sure if that is normal for diners. Hope this review is helpful for those looking for a quick bite/hot meal in the area.

Five on diner scale. Old school art deco exterior, same interior meets mountains. I stuck with my favorite grilled cheese and tomato on rye and fries, added blueberry pie. Busy waitresses but nice and efficient. Big portions delicious after a long hike. Mix of locals and not. Senior menu with side of jello! So love this place!

Great classic diner. Turkey club is awesome, plus we got chicken noodle soup which was delicious!

The breakfast food is tasty, but it would be nice if they told you it was cash only up front. No signs visible on the front of the building, so we were lucky we had enough cash on us. Nowadays, if you're going to go the cash only route, you should be VERY upfront about it. Believe it or not, there are alot of people that don't carry a ton of cash on them anymore.

Wow. When I opened this wrapper I could not believe my eyes. My grilled cheese was CLEARLY left on the grill too long. Devastating, as this is my favorite grilled cheese. Never the less, I ate and enjoyed my sandwich. It was delicious. But the bread, unfortunately, wasn't doing it for me. Still has #1 spot in my heart and will be returning.

Solid local diner with plenty of parking when people are not heathens. Service has always been solid but as many places can be short staffed. This is a true family business and hope they continue to serve hungry hikers and locals!

I typically do not like diners, but this place is by far my favorite. Best omelettes, best chicken fingers, best service (super fast) and they are really affordable. Tonight we had the Ruben and the buffalo chicken wrap with curly fries- delicious! Absolutely enjoyed the service and the food, it keeps us coming back for more every weekend. Love it!!
