My boyfriend and I just completed our second trip to Selkirk and couldn't have been more thrilled! We traveled from New York, he ski's and I snowboard. For anyone who is not familiar with snowcat skiing/boarding, the experience starts with a trip up the mountain in a brand new, very comfortable and warm snow cat, where the guides are happy to answer any questions. Once you get to the top, the views are unmatched, with no signs of civilization in sight, snow trees and mountains everywhere you look. From there, the lead guide will find you the best untracked powder as you make your way down the mountain, through the trees and back to the snowcat. An average run is about 45 minutes, then you will get back into the snowcat to travel back up the mountain, while eating a nice lunch, drinking some warm tea, and listening to some music if you like. After a long and very fun day on the mountain, you will come back to the lodge where you will find apres ski in full swing, you can have a drink at the bar and enjoy a dip in the hot tub until dinner. The food is always on point, extremely tasty and healthy, so you always feel great for the next day on the mountain. Selkirk truly provides a once in a lifetime experience. From the owner, to the guides and snowcat drivers, to the masseuse, photographer and kitchen staff, and of course the the most epic snow you will ever find, this place is the best of the best. We can't wait for next year and many more to come!

I think we can all agree that Selkirk Cat Skiing is in one of the most beautiful locations in the world. The snow must be experienced, you might find it’s equal but there is nothing better. What you may not know is the staff. Paul and Megan have put together a fantastic group of people. Guides, drivers, chefs, lodge staff. Everyone is motivated to make this the best experience you have ever had. My Dad has the distinction of being the oldest first time cat skier ever to hit the slopes at 84. This would not have been possible if it were not for the coordinated efforts of Paul, Liam,Adam, Rebecca, Clayton and Steve. I also have to put a special shout out to Lyndsay, who’s massages kept him going. I was a little nervous about this adventure and I cannot thank all of you enough for everything you did. We will remember this day. Much love to all the staff at Selkirk Jory Bocknek

I have skied at Selkirk Wilderness 3 times before and had a great time. However, I am extremely disappointed in the current management and the way they handled the covid-19 situation. They refused to follow their own written cancelation policies. I totally understand the need to cancel tours in 2019 and 2020 due to covid-19 but not to give their clients a 100% credit for the tours that SWS canceled was totally wrong! Their own policy reads that if the client cancels the tour there is no refund. But if Selkirk Wilderness Skiing cancels the tour, that the client is entitled to a 100% refund or credit. They need to adhere to their own policy.

I had an awesome time here. One of the Best skiing experiences of my Life. Every skier needs to try Cat skiing at Least Once. However Selkirk Snowcat/Wilderness skiing is a family run place, and Family run places always offer the best customer service and they treat you like part of the family here. Best skiing of my Life... Thank You SWS!!!

This was a massive scam...we had a trip booked with them and due to Covid they cancelled. Totally understandable. However, unlike others, instead of refunding us our money...they gave us two options: 1) Get a 75% credit towards next year (WHAT!? they wouldn't even give us a full credit towards a trip in 2021) 2) Get 50% our money money back THEN, after our whole group agreed to take 75% and do a booking in 2021 at ADDITIONAL cost, they sent a followup saying that the credit would only be available to us for the 2022 season. So our options are: 1) Pay more to get a reservation in 2022 or 2) Only get 50% of the $5500 we paid back Terrible way to conduct business and was a real bummer. Untrustworthy and just not OK. I would not do business with this company unless you are willing to pay for rock solid trip insurance.
