NYC’s New Restaurant Openings - New York - The Infatuation

"Selune is a wine and oyster bar on a corner in Bed-Stuy that serves five types of oysters and a French-leaning wine list. They also have charcuterie, and seafood-forward small plates like smoked oyster dip and scallop carpaccio. A notable happy hour (available only at the bar) runs Monday-Friday, 5-7pm with $1 oysters, $10 cocktails, and $9 glasses of wine." - will hartman, willa moore, molly fitzpatrick, sonal shah, bryan kim

The NYC Bar Hit List: Great New Bars In NYC - New York - The Infatuation

"It’s summertime. Do you know where your nearest oyster happy hour is? The city’s newest can be found in Bed-Stuy, at a wine bar called Selune that’s doing $1 oysters—a dying breed—at the bar from Monday to Friday, 5-7pm. There also have drink specials, like wine for $9 and a $10 Negroni spiked with rum. Stop here before dinner at nearby Saraghina, and top a small, briny Wellfleet oyster with a squeeze of lemon and a drop of ponzu." - bryan kim, molly fitzpatrick, willa moore, will hartman, sonal shah, andrew ryce

The Best Oyster Happy Hours In NYC - New York - The Infatuation

"When: Monday-Friday, 5-7pm, only at the bar The Deal: $1 oysters; $10 cocktails; $9 wine If $1 oysters (that are actually good) paired with a $9 glass of French white sounds like an intriguing proposition, head straight to Selune in Bed-Stuy. It’s one of the only places on this list that’s keeping the $1 oyster trend alive. Even after happy hour, bottles of wine still start at $27, which as you may have heard is the cost of a glass at other places. Act accordingly." - willa moore, neha talreja, will hartman, sonal shah

Selune - Review - Bedford-Stuyvesant - New York - The Infatuation

"If $1 oysters (that are actually good) paired with a $9 glass of French white sounds like an intriguing proposition, head straight to Selune in Bed-Stuy. This natural wine and oyster bar on Halsey Street has a great oyster happy hour, Monday-Friday, 5-7pm. It’s only at the bar, so snag a seat there and then let a very French bartender make fun of your pronunciation of jambon in a very French way. Happy hour is the main reason to come to this corner spot with big windows, but it’s also a good last-minute option for a spritz with sage and orange, or a bottle of wine while you wait for a table at nearby Saraghina. Bottles start at $27, which as you may have heard is the cost of a glass at other places. Act accordingly. photo credit: Willa Moore photo credit: Willa Moore photo credit: Willa Moore photo credit: Jovani Demetrie Pause Unmute" - Willa Moore

Was so happy to visit this brand new spot in Bed-Stuy! Loved how the owners transformed the space with a beautiful bar, exposed brick, and nice seating options. The cocktails were so good! I also really enjoyed the curated wine list and the white wine from Oregon. The cheese came from a local farm in upstate and it was incredible. We also enjoyed the oyster dip. Very much looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend giving this brand new business a try!

I had high hopes for this place, but after two visits, I will not be returning. Both times I went for happy hour. The big issue was the service. On my first visit, the server asked if she could give us a free shot in exchange for a cigarette. That was highly unprofessional. On my second visit, we sat at the bar for 15 minutes before anyone even spoke to us. Once we were finally acknowledged, we ordered the happy hour white wine (grüner veltliner). The plastic wine glasses smelled gross, like fish and mold, and the wine was served lukewarm. It took over 30 minutes for the food to arrive, but they were busy so I understand. $1 oysters is an amazing value, and they were fresh, but they were covered in grit on the outside and filled with shell fragments on the inside. No big deal though. During our time there, 2 of us stepped outside for ~5 minutes while the other 2 people from our party stayed at the bar. While they were outside, the server repeatedly asked when they were coming back. Over and over again, basically harassing the 2 people at the bar over when the 2 outside were coming back, implying that some of us had dined and dashed. Mind you, there were still 2 people from our party at the bar who would have paid the bill. I don't understand how you can be so worried when we step away for a few minutes, when you ignored us for the first 15 minutes we sat at the bar. It was rude and disrespectful. I work in the service industry and was extremely disappointed in the service and treatment we were given. It's really a shame because the truffle croque monsieur and french toast were both delicious, and the inside has a great ambiance.

Google
LOVED my first visit to Selune's! The $1 oyster happy hour is such a deal. The oysters + the lemongrass sauce are delicious—a unique twist to a classic. I also very much enjoyed the espresso martini. Staff was friendly. Venue was lovely. Can't wait to go back!

Google
I was looking for a new happy hour spot in the neighborhood to catch up with friends, and this place stood out as a cozy restaurant with a great happy hour menu. They were super accommodating when we added an extra person to our reservation, which was much appreciated. One important note: happy hour is only available at the bar (not at the tables), so plan accordingly. That said, we still had a fantastic night! We ended up ordering a bottle of wine because the prices were reasonable and the wine list is excellent. The oysters are a must-try—the sauces are unique and pair perfectly. Overall, this is a great neighborhood spot for happy hour, wine, and oysters. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Google
I hosted my friend’s baby shower and right from the start, the owner, Marc, was very accommodating and helpful. We were able to have a private party at an amazing price. The food was fresh and, not to mention, delicious. If you’re planning a party, I highly recommend Selune!!

Google
This spot is a fantastic new addition to the neighborhood. Cozy and inviting, they've thoughtfully preserved the stunning original interior details. The wine list is impressive—extensive, delightful, and incredibly well-priced, with several bottles under $40. You absolutely have to try the Bed-Stuy Spritz, the oyster dip, and the Cowhill cheese.

Yelp
On the Monday of their opening week, a fellow Yelp Elite friend and I made reservations to check out this highly anticipated oyster and wine bar in our neighborhood. I'm happy to say that Selune did not disappoint! Even though it was their first day of service to the public, things seemed to flow pretty smoothly. The space is cozy but without feeling cramped. We switched from sitting at a table to bar seats in order to take advantage of the $1 happy hour oyster and drink specials. The HH oyster was the Big Rock, which was briny, medium sized, and delicious. Naturally I started with a dozen (there's a half dozen minimum) and later ordered a half dozen more. I wanted to try other varieties, but we focused on charcuterie instead. I can't continue without praising the lemongrass sauce served with the oysters. It was very unique and combined with a dash of ponzu made for a nice topping. From their charcuterie selection we shared the bresaola, the smoked duck breast, the gruyere, and the Camembert. Love love love! Accompanied by sliced baguette, these were perfect to split between two people. I really enjoyed the smoked duck breast and it paired well with both cheeses. My friend is a big fan of bresaola and was very pleased with what she ordered. On another trip, which is certain to happen very soon, I'd prioritize ordering the scallop carpaccio and the truffle croque monsieur. The chef put a lot of care into the preparation of the scallop dish and I'm very curious to sample the end product myself. For drinks, I started with the Black Spectrum, their espresso martini. It was light and refreshing, served very cold. I also ordered the BedStuy Spritz and the Ruby Red mocktail...but with gin. I know that defeats the purpose of a mocktail, but it was a top tier decision and I highly recommend doing the same. Our server, Erica, was so very friendly and helpful as we asked questions about the menu. She was very knowledgeable considering how new the restaurant is, and very attentive. I'm looking forward to bringing friends and family to BedStuy's latest and hopefully becoming a regular face at Selune.

Yelp
Selune Wine Bar is a moody dark, sexy, and intimate. Whether you're on a date, solo sipping, or just want to work with a glass of wine, this place delivers. Yes, the happy hour is laptop-friendly, which is a rare and appreciated bonus. The wine list is excellent fresh, crisp, and well-curated. The oysters? Phenomenal. Briny, fresh, and the perfect start. The small plates were flavorful, but the portions were just a bit too small for the price point, which is my only critique. Still, Selune is a spot I'll gladly return to. The ambiance, the service, and the energy all come together to create a beautiful experience in the heart of Brooklyn.

Yelp
Great vibe and music. The bar staff is attentive and friendly. I got sparkling wine and oysters from the happy hour menu. The oyster sauces are what I believe to be a typical red wine vinegar based, oyster sauce (?) it had more of an umami flavor and was my fav and then lemon juice which I didn't like so much. The carpaccio was a bit of a let down. The scallops were cut a bit thick, it was oily and the orange peel on top was very strong and left a sour after taste. I felt it could've used a bit of sea salt to counter balance the oil and acidity. Overall I would def return though for happy hour! It's tough to find $1 oysters.

Yelp
Visited Selune recently as a dear friend of mine is the owner and it doesn't hurt that it's only one block from home. All the wines are organic which I'm not familiar with but our server recommended a nice bottle of sparkling wine which we loved! We also ordered the smoked duck breast charcuterie board along with the gruyere board. Both delish! We also tried the snow crab salad which was lite and refreshing. The place is beautifully decorated and welcoming. I'll definitely be a regular.

Yelp
Every element of my meal showed care and skill. Great food, casual and fun ambiance, fantastic service and lots of smiles all around. The kitchen delivered beyond category expectations. The workers displayed genuine warmth. The cost is steep but the quality matches.
