Best Thai Restaurants in Boston | Eater Boston

"This spot in the corner of Brighton has attracted a strong following from nearby college students. It specializes in a number of rice plates and noodle soup, including tom yum sukhothai, a spicy and sour noodle soup filled with ground and barbecued pork, meatballs, and other toppings to the brim and nam tok, a spicy pig blood noodle soup with toppings." - Erika Adams

Best Allston, Boston Restaurants for Delivery During COVID-19 Pandemic | Eater Boston

"S & I, one of the best Thai joints in town, is currently open for lunch and dinner, offering delivery via several services. Note: There are spice indicators on S & I’s menu; those with low heat tolerance should definitely stick to the milder dishes (such as the egg dish pictured here) as S & I does not mess around. Order: (617) 254-8488 / Chowbus / DoorDash / Grubhub / Uber Eats" - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

Google
Give it 4.5 stars. We stopped by Thai noodles to have dinner. We ordered yum salmon, khao kha moo aka braided pork knuckles with sauce and rice, and leng zapp aka spicy pork soup with rice. For dessert, we had crepe cake with mango. The crepe cake isn't too sweet, and the mango is fresh. The Yum Salmon was fresh, and the sauce was delicious and compliments the salmon. It wasn't spicy at all. The Khao Kha Moo with rice was delicious, too. Fall off the bone, and the vegetables go well with it. Leng Zapp was good, but it was missing more lime. The staff was friendly, the food came out fast and the price was reasonable. I would highly recommend this place. It is the same owner as Thonglor.

I thought Boston Thai food are all garbage until I met this restaurant. I have tried Thai food across many corners in the world, and this one is comparable to the one I tried in Thailand and the ones in the Thai immigrant community in Taipei. Taste is legit. Food is fresh. Thai milk tea is one of the best I have tried. Service is high quality and attentive. Price is super affordable. Folks if you want to have true Thai food in Boston you should not miss this one. 5 Starz.

The food here is SO GOOD. Originally planned to try Thonglor next door, but stumbled upon Sen Yai and immediately went in to dine. There was no wait (went around 8 pm on a Monday) the serving staff were very attentive and helpful with providing recommendations. *Not pictured* Their honey wings???? Unreal. Everything was well seasoned, flavorful, and warm. Will definitely be returning!

So many tasty dishes. Definitely will be back to try more of the interesting items on their menu.

Excellent service and love a visually appealing menu that isn’t a QR code. I was craving some boat noodle soup and this place does it more than perfect.

This Thai restaurant was recommended by a friend, and it did not disappoint—absolutely delicious! The Leng Zapp was amazing: the soup is sour and spicy, and while the first sip might be intense, it gets tastier once you get used to the flavour. The pork ribs were incredibly tender and flavorful—highly recommend! The pork leg had a slightly sweet taste, but it was well-seasoned and paired perfectly with the rice. The overall price is reasonable too. The only downside is the limited seating, so be sure to arrive early!

The pork leg rice was authentic and tender, more important, the price is decent👍🏽

I'm a big fan of the Thai place next door, so when Sen Yai opened, I was intrigued. Their menu mostly consists of noodle dishes, but there's a good selection of appetizers, as well as a few rice dishes. We ordered the Tofu Triangles to share and I got the Bamee Moo Dang noodle soup. The tofu triangles were crisp and came with a yummy sauce, and the noodle soup was perfect for a chilly day. The space isn't super big, but even on a Sunday around lunch time, we waited no more than five minutes. I would definitely come back to try more of the menu!

Yelp
I am a pretty diehard Thai food eater and have had a lot of experience visiting Thailand as well. Sen Yai offers a very different and unique Thai experience. Most of these items you probably won't know or have tried before as most are street food items. I had: Khao Na Ped (very good and filling, the duck, rice, sauce and ginger is a winning combo) Thai Dry Noodles (very very good, lots going on and can add as much soup/sauce as you prefer, though I dont drench the noodles much) Giew-Tod (Thai crispy wontons, I think shrimp, but we're easily my favorite thing I had) Overall a great spot, can't wait to try in person and try more from here.

Yelp
This place never disappoints. Always delicious, the staff are very nice and attentive. The lang zapp and the Thai style sashimi are my go too! The mango sticky rice is a must get after the meal and the pandan drink. The ambiance is very nice, cozy and chill.

Yelp
Went there again this week for a Laeng Sab and Nam Tok with wide rice noodles. It was the best Nam Tok I've tried in Massachusetts. Safe to say I will be a regular at this place.

Yelp
Please check this out This is my favorite Thai noodle for me right now It's very tasty if you want to try Thai noodle and salad like a real authentic you should come to try senyai Thai noodle. The server is very friendly with the customer. And the atmosphere represent Thai very well. Anyway this is the Thai restaurant that you should try it

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place since it opened, but it was a miss for me. Food was mediocre at best, not sure where the hype was as I saw it was packed before. The papaya salad was spicy and I give it 8/10, Pork Soup was a 7/10 and the other dishes were about 5/10.

Yelp
The first time we ordered takeout from here, we thought it was a bit pricey but the food was good and portion was ok. I usually have some leftovers when I go out to eat noodle soup at other places and the portion at Senyai was just enough for me with no leftovers. We ordered the Stewed beef with wide rice noodles and Duck with egg noodles. We thought, as long as it filled us enough and it tastes good, then we are fine with it being a bit pricey. A month later, we ordered take out a 2nd time and got an order for my parents as well for takeout (same order) and this time all 4 orders looked really sad. The portion of the noodles was so small that we had to make more noodles at home. I literally ate my order and I was still hungry. It was like a half order portion. Overall, the food tastes good but I would suggest to add more noodles so that people aren't still hungry after eating it. These are not "mini" dishes with "mini" prices. Unfortunately, I don't think we will be returning unless I feel like I just needed a snack.

Yelp
Really yummy new spot in oak square. Loved the Tom yum and I recommend their Thai iced coffee! I think they could use cooler menu items, and maybe more things considering how thonglor menu is huge and same owners. I'll be back but in the winter because it is hot in there

Yelp
I was super excited to try this place since I love thai food and noodle soups. I had never heard of this restaurant or the one next door so it was a nice discovery. I came around 7 ish to put my name on the wait and there was only one name ahead of me but it was a small restaurant. They told me 20-45 and I gave my number and came back about 40 minutes later. I saw on the list that they sat two parties of three that put their names on afterwards, which I would understand but they had tables that fit two or three and that felt a little weird. The overly nonchalant attitude of some of the workers was extremely off putting. We waited about 10 more minutes for a table and then ordered food immediately (around 8:10). We did not get our food until after 8:45. Everyone else who got sat before and after us already got their food. When the food came it was good but nothing special and certainly not worth the wait time. We both got the beef noodle soup, which I took photos of then deleted because I didn't feel that this restaurant was worthy of being shared via social media. I can't tell why but it seemed like the employees only care about moving tables in and out when it benefits them. They rush to get three parties their checks but when we ask for the check from one of the employees, she takes our card and leaves it where the computer is, taking her sweet time to clean off a table, seat a new table, and take their order. I had to ask someone else for the check. The food here is good but not worth the terrible service and waiting 35+ minutes for our food. I have had better noodle soups and better thai food with MUCH nicer service (ex: What A Soup). I personally don't believe in the common idea that Asian restaurants with bad service have better food because I have been to dozens of amazing Asian restaurants in Boston with good food and incredible service. I found the employee that I mentioned to be incredibly nonchalant and didn't seem to care at all about anything. The worst part was her not giving us our card back and having to ask someone else because she was blatantly ignoring us by cleaning off an entire table and seating them AND taking their orders. Another employee had to apologize and give us our check and she still didn't apologize or even notice. I was really disappointed in this place and I don't think it's worth the wait or the terrible service.

Yelp
Very authentic Thai. We love it. My wife is originally from Thailand and she can attest to the authenticity

Yelp
The Leng Zapp Mor Fai brought me back to Chatuchak Night Market in Bangkok and the Beef Stew Noodle flew me across country to my regular noodle shop on Koh Phi Phi Island! The price unfortunately brought me back to Boston! Great little spot!

Yelp
Very tasty, This is the Thai Restaurant that you must come to try. Warm and Welcoming Atmosphere. The best service.

Yelp
I have tried so many dishes here. They are delicious and authentic!! This is my go to place when i want to have Thai food. The service is very good and price is reasonable compare to the portion i get. The restaurant is clean and warm. Yelp
Incredible dining experience! AMAZING food for a great price. Small preselected hot pot servings or individual diy noodle bowls!! Sister restaurant to Thonglor next door and if you know how amazing Thonglor is you'll be just as amazed by Sen Yai!

Yelp
My friend & I literally just found this delightful little Thai Noodle place on our way to a pool night. We ordered Cheese Puffs for an appetizer and Bamee Moo Dang noodle soup & I ordered Thai Dry Noodle Soup (Beef, with a medium kick) and everything was absolutely delicious. Service was prompt & attentive. Priced reasonably. The restaurant was perhaps 6-10 tables. Went on a Friday night on the late side & there were still several tables of patrons. We will definitely go back.

Yelp
My favorite Thai restaurant in Boston area! Portion size is decent, service is good, and food tastes great!

Yelp
The administration at the restaurant was so chaotic. They can't arrange the order of meals correctly, and even can't remember the food ordered by the customer correctly. Horrible experience at this restaurant, not recommend.

Yelp
Cozy, quiet atmosphere. Service was prompt. Had chicken claws and beef with egg noodles. Broth was delightful as were the noodles, beef was a tad overdone. Sauce claws were served with was fresh with a nice kick and the claws were great. Will be back!
