The Best Cocktail Bars in Seattle | Eater Seattle

"Follow the signs in this industrial neighborhood off Dravus St, and you’ll find the warehouse containing SennzaFinne’s distillery and tasting room. Once you step inside the fluorescent-lit hallway, you’d still never dream there’s a darling little cocktail bar at the end of it. SennzaFinne is a local amaro producer, and in fact, they have an extra good-smelling secret lounge stashed away down by the train tracks, only open from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays, where patrons can enjoy frequently rotating cocktails du jour among the open bins of calendula and angelica. A recent chalkboard special was the One from the Heart: mole-infused tequila, cold brew, spiced syrup, and SennzaFInne’s “Rustling Wood” amaro made with cedar, hazelnuts, coffee, chicory, and cacao." - Mark DeJoy

Terrible vibes in this place. Very sanitized atmosphere and uncomfortable stares from the owners. TLDR: Don't bother fighting for the 4 total hours they're open each week. My advice to owners, close the tasting room if you have no intention of receiving guests from the general public. Story time if you care why: Tried to go here for my wife's birthday since we live basically across the street and a nice cocktail close by sounded great. Plus they don't serve food so we brought the dog downstairs with us so we could stay a while. After spending about 15 minutes trying to figure out how to even get inside after arriving we were excited when we actually did. It even felt cool to be somewhere so tucked away. But once inside we were weirdly stared at by the owners like we didn't belong there, like we weren't dressed up enough or something. After 5 minutes of trying to make awkward small talk and ask them about amaro (never had it outside of mixed drinks, genuinely wanted to know more) I was interrupted by them blurting out that they don't allow dogs. I looked around and there were no other customers. NO other people but us and the owners and they don't serve any food and had no signs about pets at all. I said there was no signs, but we're sorry it's not a problem we'll leave. On the way back out they said it was because of not having windows? Not really a business for the neighborhood if you alienate the people who live across the street. Thinking back on it, the disco ball in a completely empty room right when we walked in should have been our sign to leave and just head to a friendlier spot. Seriously, this place gave us the ick so hard we had to go to a brewery afterwards to shake it off.

This place is awesome! Gillian and Joey were excellent and knowledgeable hosts for our tasting and the love they put into everything they make from the amari to the cocktails to the popcorn to the space itself is very evident. Truly a wonderful experience and incredible product - I can't recommend them enough.

Very cool experience! Joey and Gillian walked us through their delicious amari and taught us all about the process. Would definitely recommend scheduling a tasting and/or attending their open tastings on Fridays and Saturdays! Also the mole-infused tequila cocktail is amazing.

Sennza Finne is an absolute gem! The moment you step inside, you're enveloped in a warm, inviting atmosphere that's perfect for an intimate evening or a gathering with close friends. The Gillian and Joey are incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about amaro, making the experience even more enjoyable. Their expertise shines through as they guide you through their impressive collection. My husband and I are blown away by the variety of amaros they offer. Each one was a unique, complex and delightful walk through the smells and taste of our seasons. The perfect balance of sweet, bitter, and herbaceous flavors was simply divine. Whether you're an amaro aficionado or just starting your journey, Sennza Finne is a must-visit. I can't wait to return and explore their menu further with our friends. At the end of the day, it's clear the amaros are a product of Gillian and Joey's passion and dedication to the craft and each other.

Update Gin Gimlet - Temple Navy Gin w/Green Chartreuse and Sennza Finne Summer... Initial Visited the cute little Sennza Finne tasting room hiding out way in the back of a long hallway through a discreet open door at the end of a small hidden parking lot.... So take your time finding it! I am now working through the 5 pack I purchased. Frankly, I would put this product much more nearly in the category of "bitters" rather than "amaro" - much to my surprise - and great appreciation!! Typical amaros are packed with sugar which I despise.... There is a lot going on in these products and look forward to some years of exploration....

So freaking cute, you must experience this lovely place of AMAZING cocktail chemistry. All 5 versions of their amaro are beautiful and distinct, Spring, fall and Always are my current favorites.

Fun vibes and tasty amaro at this tiny bar. Yum. Went home with a bottle for further enjoyment. We could have easily spent longer than their 4-6pm hours would allow 😎 will be back!
