"Señor Sisig is rightly famed for their Filipino-inspired burritos, but the sinigang wings (made in collaboration with local rapper P-Lo) are yet another reason to visit this mini-chain. The wings are fried to order and packed with tangy heat from tamarind and fresno peppers. Dunk every drumstick and flat in the spicy tamarind sauce, then get a side of fries or chips to sop up the last drops of whatever’s left behind." - lani conway, julia chen 1, patrick wong
"Señor Sisig at Thrive City is a solid move before tip-off. The Señor Sisig Burrito with perfectly charred pork and garlic rice is reliably great, and the sinigang wings that have just the right balance of heat and spice are made for sharing with any fellow fans. Watch the many TVs from the dozens of appropriately colored blue and yellow stools. And when a game is spiking your blood pressure, there’s a sizable patio out front to take a breather and do some nervous pacing." - lani conway, julia chen 1, ricky rodriguez, patrick wong
"A seat at Señor Sisig’s Thrive City location—all appropriately blue and yellow stools—is the next best thing if you don’t have a ticket to a Warriors or Valkyries game across the plaza. On game days, this place is guaranteed to be packed, but with several huge flat screens, there’s not a bad spot to watch the game. Service is quick, so whether you need a round of celebratory sisig-stuffed burritos or an order of consolation sinigang wings, you’ll at least be satisfied with your food, win or lose. A few draft beers and plenty of canned options are available, including some tropical wheat ales made with guava or mango." - lani conway, julia chen 1, patrick wong
"Filipino Mexican street food mini-chain Señor Sisig has a completely vegan menu they dub Señor Sisig Vegano. It’s available at all of their locations, including the Mission and Ferry Building. That’s good news for plant-based eaters looking to wolf down solid jalapeño-heavy sisig tacos, loaded fries and nachos topped with vegan cheese, and french-fry-stuffed burritos. Pretty much anything on the menu can be swapped with either soy-based chicken or chili-coated tofu (we prefer the tofu)." - julia chen 1, lani conway, ricky rodriguez, patrick wong
"Señor Sisig has come a long way since its food truck beginnings, adding four brick-and-mortars to their mini-empire. The move at this Mission outpost, as it was back then, is still the pork Señor Sisig burrito—packed with garlic rice, smoky adobo pork, and a tangy cilantro cream sauce. The California Sisig, which swaps the rice for fries, is a fantastic alternative. Keep an eye on their Instagram to track any limited-time items." - gabi moskowitz, julia chen 1, patrick wong
