"Señor Veggie has been serving up vegan Mexican food in Southtown for a hot minute. This is the place to get vegan puffy tacos, as well as an assortment of quesadillas, nachos, and empanadas. The restaurant is open for indoor service, and to-go orders can be placed online." - Polly Anna Rocha

Overall good food and good service! I went after the lunch time rush, so the restaurant was mostly empty. There was a server with dreadlocks who came and was very helpful in answering our questions about the menu as well as giving us recommendations. He was funny as well, so overall good waitstaff. The enchiladas and chalupas were yummy and pretty filling. In addition, the fried pickles were tasty as well, the tang and the crunch was something unique and if you like eating pickles, I would definitely recommend this. There was even extra left over for me to take back to my hotel. I feel like the food needs a tad bit more salt for full flavor but I liked it regardless. Overall, I was so happy to find a vegan restaurant in San Antonio serving hearty meals so if I ever visit the city again I would stop by Senor Veggie.

Insanely good food! A bit of a wait, but well worth it! The ketchup was even homemade. So impressed! This place could convince any Texan to give vegan a shot. With food like this it's totally doable! And our server, Danielle, was phenomenal...and adorable. Perfect mix of professional, courteous, friendly, and a bit of sass =) Loved it! Keep converting the world, Senor Veggie!

Definitely recommend eating here and would eat here again! Food was delicious, customer service was exceptional and my son loved the quesadilla. My family and I love trying different Vegan places in San Antonio, and I was so glad this popped up in my recommendations. Praying this business continues to grow from the inside out. Thank you!!!!

Yesterday was my first visit and the food was great! A big thank you to Oscar for the recommendations. Pictured is, the Empanadas, Eggplant sandwich and Good Karma bowl. I will visit again. Atmosphere was laid back. Parking was a challenge but that's location. Staff was friendly and attentive.

Food was delicious! I ordered the Jack fruit Mole, and my boyfriend ordered the Enchiladas. We both enjoyed our meal very much. I will say though that my rice didn't taste all that great but...Will be coming back to try out some more items soon! 😋😋😋😋 Yummy faces

The food was great. I am not vegan but we wanted to try it out. The nachos were my favorite thing that we tried. Unfortunately, my drink was never refilled and my boyfriend had a bottled root beer, no one brought water to the table after he finished it. I would recommend if this is your thing and think if you want to try it once, it's worth it.

I love that this place is both vegan and allergy friendly. Their menu is clearly labeled for gluten free items, and all items do a fairly good job of listing off the included ingredients. The staff is patient and is good at checking with the kitchen to address any additional concerns. As a celiac with additional severe food allergies, I very much appreciate that I've never gotten sick eating here. The food is consistently delicious and beautifully plated. Some minor drawbacks include: This place has made an effort to be accessible, but is not exactly wheelchair friendly. There's a ramp to the entrance, for example, but it's very short and steep, so I couldn't gave gotten up to the door on my own. The bathroom is wheelchair accessible (the door and space are well proportioned), but is missing the grab bars on the walls. Also, there are no handicap parking spaces - so my partner had to get my chair and I out before parking bc there was no space to offload otherwise. I absolutely understand there is limited space, both inside and out, but be fairly warned that you'll probably need some extra help to navigate this space if you're chair bound.

Delicious and fun spot for anyone (even omnivores). The food is fresh and made here. I had the spicy buffalo tofu wrap with the vegetable of the day (really delicious carrots). The wrap was spicy and delicious. They were out of vegan ranch but the cashew crema did the trick just fine. I am excited to try more items in the future as the menu is quite diverse. They even make cupcakes that look fantastic! They also have a decent beer/wine menu. The location has a feel of a fun dive. Edit: second visit I ordered the eggplant torta with sweet potato fries. The fries and ketchup (made in house) were great. The sandwich is good, but definitely fried and greasy. The flavor and quality were on point and the sandwich was pretty large.
