"Giovanni Bruno adds his own personal spin to nostalgic Italian recipes that he learned in the family restaurant. senzanome has been showered with awards since it opened in 1997. Today its stylish, uncluttered dining room adorned in soft warm colours is the epitome of good taste and perfectly in tune with the well-heeled Sablon district. Chef Bruno pays homage to authentic recipes, transforming them with modern techniques, yet always in a bid to allow the ingredient to shout its name. Italian generosity meets subtle craftsmanship as the Italian chef adds his own hallmark to familiar flavours. His signature dish: a velvety compact mousse of stracciatella with a tomato sorbet and basil-perfumed oil features three ingredients that are blended together in a knockout harmony of taste and aroma. We also recommend the braised seabass overflowing in savoury, sweet and spicy notes and liberally sprinkled in sultana raisins marinated in vinegar. Food lovers who appreciate an extensive choice will be in seventh heaven from the lunchtime menus and à la carte menu to the wine list – paradise for all five senses!" - Michelin Inspector

What an incredible dining experience at Senzanome in Brussels! 🇮🇹✨ The ambiance is elegant yet welcoming, perfect for a special night out. The Italian cuisine was exquisite — every dish was a masterpiece, from the antipasti to the mains. 🍝👌 A special mention for the dessert — it was absolutely divine! 🍰 The service was impeccable, and the attention to detail made the whole experience even more memorable. 🥂 Definitely worth every star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Tried lunch menu with 3 courses. Everything was extraordinary delicious, especially the appetizer and the cake. The only problem we had was having a serious stomach ache and uncomfortableness after eating the fish. It lasted for 10 hours. Ambient is basic, tidy and clean. Nothing special. Service was quick and on time, with enough explanations.

I had the Discovery Menu 175€ + Wine Pairing 75€ Bocconcini Scallops, vanilla celeriac, citrus fruits Battuta di Fassona, Piedmontese hazelnut, white truffle Egg 63°c, bacon, wild mushrooms Fregola chervil, sausage, N'duja, seafood, vegetable chips Fillet of deer, flavored sauce with cocoa and marsala, pomegranate, beetroot. Pre dessert Cake meringue and lemon 👅 9/10 - Seemingly this restaurant was voted as one of the best Italian restaurants (outside of italy) in the world. It elevates simple rustic type dishes, gives you a different take on them and let's the individual ingredients shine. 💰 7/10 - as with all michelin * places the price will usually be up there but you are not just paying for the food but for the experience and I would say it was worth it. 🏠 8/10 - had a table for 2 in the very back. Tables are spaced apart far enough to have your own feeling of privacy. Dimmed lighting and decor made for a comfortable and enjoyable evening. I do not remember if there was any music playing in the background. Bathroom is downstairs in a cave like room but clean. There is one room for women and another for men which provided both a urinal and seated option. 👨‍💼 8.5/10 - Staff started off a bit cold but slowly warmed up and became more friendly and 'human'. In-house sommelier very knowledgeable and provided a nice touch of photos of the small vineyards that some of the wines are made from. Staff generally speaks 3-4 languages and are helpful.

Overrated and too expensive compared to the quality. Good wine though

We got the longer tasting menu. It definitely got better as the courses got further along - the first three were average, the main was good and the two desserts were really very good! Ambiance and service were totally amazing!

Food was nice. Service extremely slows, but OK you go to such a restaurant in no hurry. The waiter didn’t make my guests feel very much welcomed though, when ordering the apéritifs he kept saying “no!”, “no!”, “no!” Instead of clarifying what he did actually have to offer. A bit or a comic yet sad experience.

Yelp
I came by for their lunch with a friend and had a wonderful experience. Got our reservation days mixed up but they were still able to accommodate us! Service was 10/10, can definitely see why they earned their star. They took our coats away, brought a stool for our bags, thoroughly explained every dish that came out. The food was very delectable, a good mix of experimental and recognizable flavors that made it enjoyable. Really enjoyed the desserts as well as the bread offering. Very clean inside with respectable space between the tables. Only 1 bathroom per gender but clean and offered many toiletries

Yelp
Senzanome is located in the nicer part of Brussels near the park, museums, and luxury shopping areas. The space inside is very clean and modern, and the decor is basically what I would like my home to look like. The kitchen is upstairs, which seems very tiring for the staff constantly going up and down, but the main level is just for dining. They are distinctively Italian. We were tempted by the photos of their pasta but ultimately went for the €50 3 course lunch with an add on dish from the a la carte menu. It's a good value and also makes for a less time consuming lunch. The other diners mostly seemed to get the pre fixe, as well, and most looked like they were here on business lunches. The wine list is impressively all Italian, and some of the markups are really quite reasonable, but they had a €24 pairing for lunch, so we went with that. They bring your wine over on cute airplane style beverage carts custom made for senzanome. Amuses: - Focaccia with Parmesan and lardo: warm focaccia with melted cheese and super rich pork flavor with the lardo - Toast with ricotta mousse and tomato confit; intense tomato flavor - Beet tartare with a beet purée - Grissini - Bread with olive oil Course 1: Risotto with arugula pesto, asparagus, and goat cheese cream. This was a very substantial portion. The risotto texture was great, and it was a perfect spring dish. Add on: 63 degree egg with white asparagus, grey shrimp, bacon, Parmigiano espuma. I love asparagus season in Europe. The grey shrimp were intense, and the bacon was very flavorful as contrast to the milder asparagus and egg. Course 2: Cod with fennel salad, bok choy, clams, fresh peas, and a pea purée. The fish portion was very generous, and this was quite filing. Dessert: Almond tart and crumble with raspberries, white chocolate orange cremeux, blood orange sorbet from Sicily. Beautifully composed, nice and light to finish our meal. The servers kept our water glasses refilled and were very gracious. They were also great about dietary preferences/restrictions. I'm not sure why the online reviews aren't better for senzanome, but then again, I don't really trust the starring system most people use anyway.

Yelp
Splendid restaurant at the Kleine Zavel. Wonderful Italian-inspired dishes in a comfortable and enjoyable setting. Very attentive and welcoming staff. Not cheap but definitely recommended for a nice lunch or dinner.
