All the meats and especially the soups were good, and orders came out quick. I liked the kimchi, banchan, and sauces. The reviews about the compulsory tipping were concerning, but our server was nice.

Went with friends for lunch/dinner with a party of 8. Once we entered, we were greeted and sat at a table. Staff were very friendly and sociable. I found the restaurants aesthetic very homey. We ordered the All You Can Eat with a choice of 3 meat and 3 soups. Plenty of small sides came with it. It was pretty expensive but it’s Korean BBQ, I think it was worth it.

I REALLY DO NOT MIND SPENDING MONEY IN A RESTAURANT WHEN IT IS HONEST. WIFE AND I ARE 67 EACH. I ASKED THE WAITRESS WHEN WE FIRST SAT DOWN ABOUT THE ALL YOU CAN EAT $49.00 MEAL. SHE SAID YES. MY WIFE ORDERED SOUP FOR HERSELF I ORDERED THE ALL YOU CAN EAT FOR MYSELF KNOWING IT WAS JUST FOR ME. WHEN WE WENT TO LEAVE AND PAY THE BILL THEY CHARGED ME FOR 2 PEOPLE $49.00 EACH FOR THE ALL YOU CAN EAT EVEN THOUGH MY WIFE ONLY ATE HER SOUP AND NOTHING ELSE. I ATE A VERY LITTLE BIT OF THE MEAL / MEAT AND A FULL PLATTER OF UNCOOKED MEAT WAS LEFT OVER THAT WAS NOT TOUCHED. I NEVER WOULD EXPECT TO TAKE THE LEFTOVER UNCOOKED MEAT. THEY WOULD NOT LET US TAKE THE VERY FEW SMALL AMOUNT OF COOKED PIECES OF LEFTOVER MEAT HOME. WE WAS CHARGED $172.00 DOLLARS. MY WIFE COULD NOT EVEN TAKE HER 1/2 BOWL OF LEFTOVER SOUP OF $46.00.00 WE HAD TO LEAVE IT THERE. I HAVE LIVED IN HAWAII OVER 47 YEARS I WILL NEVER EVER TELL ANYONE TO EAT THERE AND STAY AWAY RUDE AND NOT HONEST.

We came here on a Saturday, noon. There are couple of stalls in front of the restaurant. They have lunch specials for certain dishes and they also have an all-you-can-eat yakiniku. We ordered a bibimbap in hot stone bowl, spicy barbecue chicken with seaweed soup and small bowl of rice, and bulgogi with mixed rice in hot stone pot and spicy tofu soup. To start off, they gave five banchan (small dishes) of kimchi and veggies. They offer to refill two of them, if you ask. The bibimbap was delicious, they give bottle of bibimbap sauce where you can squirt as much of it onto the rice. The spicy barbecue chicken was good as well. Not sure if it is mixed with gochujang and other spices, but the spice level was more mild and sweet. This dish comes with a small bowl and seaweed soup and rice. The bulgogi with mixed rice in hot stone bowl and a choice of either seaweed or spicy tofu soup. The bulgogi dish was marinated well and wasn’t salty. Went with the spicy tofu soup, it came out piping hot! The spice level was a three out of ten, but it was favored well. I think they used half of a tofu. The mixed rice in stone pot came out last cause it is made to order - dip it in the tofu soup to soften it up. They gave a metal pitcher containing hot water for you to pour into the stone bowl and scrape off the hardened rice, if you like rice crackers then definitely do it. Each set was $15 - $20. The staff was friendly and super nice. Really prompted. There is also a call them on the table where to ask for them. They take all major credit cards and cash. Parking might be a little harder to come by at night cause there is a “club” next door.

Google
Korean BBQ buffet was better than expected! Especially for only $21 per person. You can request pork, beef brisket, galbi and/or chicken. No children prices. We also got complimentary soup and dumplings. Definitely other Koreans in there so that was a good sign. Will be going back soon.

Google
A good place for lunch or dinner. The lunch menu offers generous quantity while maintaining the level of quality. Dinner seating available as booths or private rooms for groups of large families & friends. Yakiniku (BBQ) offered as Ala Carte or All-you-can-eat, good value considering the quality and price. Attentive service, the staff is considerate to not over serve guests and they will attend when you're in need, often predicting your needs. Other dishes typical to Korean cuisine are done well and just as one would expect, no shortcuts. Banchan (반찬) included with meal.

Good food, good service! Large party of 16 people with 4 grills going makes for a hot experience. Otherwise a 5 star.

4 of us did the AYCE. Sue took care of us and she was amazing!! Showed us how to use the cooker and everything! We left all food and meat decisions to her and she did not disappoint!! The whole meal and experience was wonderful! 감사합니다. To the reviews saying they don't treat "non Koreans" the same, where YOU rude? Because we were the only non Korean table in the place and we received EXCELLENT service, EXCELLENT food, and were treated like everyone else!

Yelp
My Fiance and I came here last Friday morning after a quick work out at the gym. Needless to say we were very hungry and ready to eat! We got here a little bit after they opened and were immediately seated. It was pretty empty inside but it was still very clean and the decorations really made it a nice comfy spot. The staff were very prompt and attentive We ordered the all you can eat and since we got there a little earlier we were able to get the lunch prices. All of the meat we ordered was fresh and delicious! I believe our favorites out of what we ordered was definitely the marinated Kalbi and the pork jowl. Be prepared though they give big portions so come hungry! We also ordered a side of lettuce wraps which was extra. Also the Banchan was amazing! Apparently they have a rotating banchan selection but the ones we were given were so good, we could have eaten them the entire time and been happy. The staff was very prompt and very attentive, I'm not sure if it's because we were the only people there getting the all you can eat but they brought the food out quick and even got it started for us on the grill. They would also come and cut the meat up for us and add more to the grill. At times it did seem they were rushing us a bit though, but they were so nice and the food was so good it didn't really bother us that much. Over all Seoul Garden Yakiniku was a fantastic eat and we Will for sure be back, the portion sizes and good prices is what will keep us here! If I were to criticize anything from this experience I would just say let us go at our own pace when we are cooking and eating haha

Yelp
When my family decides to dine out, which is not very often, we always find ourselves coming back to Seoul Garden Yakiniku. It has been our go-to restaurant for the past two years, and each visit reminds us why we continue to return. The food is consistently satisfying, the atmosphere is warm and cozy, and the staff always make us feel welcome. As a family of five, we usually skip the all-you-can-eat option and instead order a few of our favorite dishes to share. Our usual lineup includes brisket and bulgogi, both flavorful and quick to grill. We also order Japchae, which is always a hit at the table. It is comforting, perfectly seasoned, and generously portioned. The soft tofu soup, Sundubu-jjigae, is another staple that we all enjoy sharing. On our most recent visit, we decided to try a couple of new items: the chicken stir-fry and the tteokbokki. Both dishes leaned toward the sweeter side, but they were still very enjoyable and made great additions to our usual spread. Shortly after placing our order, the banchan (side dishes) arrived. We received kimchi, fish cakes, marinated cucumbers, potatoes, spicy radish, marinated sprouts, and salad. The selection changes slightly from visit to visit, but the flavors are always consistent and fresh. We also received some seaweed and fried mandu. Overall, every time we eat here, we leave full, satisfied, and happy. Some nights are busier than others, but the restaurant always feels welcoming. The service is one of the highlights of dining here. The staff are attentive, kind, and never make us feel rushed. Seoul Garden Yakiniku truly feels like part of our family's dining routine, and we are glad to have a place that feels as comforting as the food they serve.

Yelp
Food was fine. Ambiance was alright. Everything around you is a bit dirty. But... How do you demand 15% tip when you didn't bring our food, didn't refill our water and we had to keep calling you to give us our bill... AND WE WERE THE ONLY TABLE THERE??!!?? How does that make sense? Bill was about $91 and we gave you $9 dollars to be generous. And I hear you complaining in Korean 15% tip is minimum? Hahaha don't make me laugh. you're lucky you even got anything.

Yelp
It's my favorite place for Korean now. Their prices are reasonable and the flavors are on point. Everything taste authentic, and the food is always fresh and hot

Yelp
I am such a sikdorak girlyyy but... think Seoul Garden might just top them off a tad bit. The portions here are very generous and their sides are sooo good! My boyfriend and I went for lunch and the service was pretty quick. He did mention to me that they get busy during dinner time so I would keep that in mind. If you are ever craving Korean bbq try to place!

Yelp
Seoul Garden Yakiniku Overall: **** Recommended **** Food: **** Value: *** Menu: ***** Ambiance: *** Service: **** Parking: ***** free in front and behind restaurant I was first introduced to Seoul Garden by a Korean friend who loved their seafood soft tofu stew. Since then, I've been to Seoul Garden many times, primarily for lunch and I order their combination plates, steamed BBQ Kalbi or their seafood soft tofu stew. They give you more varieties of banchan (side dishes) than other Korean restaurants and their banchan is good. They introduced all you can eat lunch yakiniku for $28.95 and all you can eat dinner for $38.95. As you can see, from the video, it comes with the seafood soft tofu stew, salad, mandoo, banchan, rice and your choice of 12 items. The video contained in this review is their all you can eat lunch yakiniku. They kept coming back and asked us if we wanted more of anything and they kept changing the grill. Whenever I dine at Seoul Garden, a large portion of the customers are speaking in Korean, so I know I'm going to the right place. They also have large party rooms in the back. Comparison: Seoul Garden Yakinku - has better banchan, quality of meats, seafood soft tofu stew, mandoo and parking. GEN Korean BBQ - has a larger selection of items to choose from and is newer. Bottom line: It depends on what you like to eat and which of the two restaurants has more of those items. RATINGS & RECOMMENDED ORDER: All You Can Eat = A Steamed Kalbi = A Kalbi = A Fish Jun = A Seafood Soft Tofu Stew = B Yelp: https://yelp.to/4n1_1vb0gD Website: https://www.seoulgardenhawaii.com/ YELP: Sorry! They allow only one 12 second video & the remaining to 3 seconds, with maximum of 10 pictures/videos. The full video can be found elsewhere: MiltonIn808 RATINGS KEY: A = Really Good - one of the best B = Good - would order again C = ok - similar, nothing special D = Not very good - wouldn't order F = Terrible - avoid

Yelp
I don't understand how a restaurant with terrible service could demand their customers to tip at least 18% minimum? 0 stars

Jonson Y.

Yelp
Terrible experience, terrible service. Tipped 15% and the old lady that was serving us still demanded that we should tip more. They honestly could do better.

Yelp
Probably my new favorite AYCE Korean bbq spot! I love their beef belly! Pretty similar to brisket and I feel like a lot of other places don't carry beef belly. Other favorites include the beef bulgogi and pork belly. They have a wide variety of banchan which is really good. I also like how they give fried mandoo and cheese corn as a side too. It is pretty pricey than other places, I've only been for dinner which costs around $50 (including tip). Maybe next time I'll go for lunch when it's cheaper. Service is pretty quick and attentive. The restaurant is spacious and has a lot of booths. Definitely recommend this place for your new Korean bbq fix!

Yelp
Came for dinner and got the AYCE option. I was surprised at how many different banchan there was; it included Kim chee, fish cake, shoyu potato, shredded daikon, mustard greens, green salad, cheese corn and even soondubu (tofu soup). The soondubu and kimchee were really good. The kimchee was made in house. The soondubu had a good seafood flavor and had bits of clam and squid. The meats we ordered were brisket, pork jowl, beef belly, short rib, marinated short rib, and pork bulgogi. All of them were good but I think we liked the brisket the best because we order it 3 times. I like that it was thin and got caramelized and crispy. There were 2 sauces sesame oil and salt and a sweet soy. I like the salt and sesame oil better. It I was told to use the salt with the pork and the soy based sauce with the beef. Service was amazing they brought lots of meat each time and replenished banchan quickly as requested. They even replaced the grill multiple times. There was garlic on foil on the grill which was a great addition to some of the meats. They also rubbed a piece of fat on the grill each time the replaced it so that meats wouldn't stick and also add flavor. They also came intermittently and assisted in cooking, putting things on the grill turning the meats or taking them off when they were done. Theres options for both AYCE and prepared dishes that are brought to your table. If you choose AYCE everyone at the table has to order it too. There's some parking right up front and also the back of femme niu just let the security guys know you're eating at Seoul Garden.

Yelp
Had lunch to today with my favorite sister and Brother-in-law. We decided to check out Seoul Garden Yakiniku. Thanks to fellow Yelper Auntie Nadine.C she post this place and it was pretty good. She also mentioned the hours on Yelp and Google opens @ 10:00am we got there around 10:15 they was still closed. Actually their new banner sign shows open @ 11:00am . We was lucky there was a worker and he opened up around 10:30am so we walked in . The food was very good I really enjoyed their Kalbi came out on a sizzling platter and it was very soft. The fried Mandoo was tasty as well along with the tofu stew. Their stir fried squid was ok little on the spicier side even it was mild level lol. Service was ok just a little slow on the refills of the water . I was surprised with the Bachan they provided a good selection of varieties. Prices are very reasonable sorry didn't get the price for the All you can eat buffet because we ordered family style . Definitely will be back in the future support local

Yelp
My new fav Korean yakiniku! My first time was with my husband for my 30th, & I'm so glad we came here bc the stew is so die for. Either miso or soft tofu stew, they're BOTH hands down the best stews I had on Oahu. Parking is either right out front (limited stalls) or parking behind the building next to Club Femme Nu. 2nd time here for Mother's Day & hubby got to treat us! I'm so happy to be here with my family. Definitely our go-to yakiniku in town now. Can't go wrong with the reasonable prices AND complementary sides were also tasty! It's not a big fancy updated place, but the restaurant really shows the Korean authenticity.

Yelp
I had lunch one Saturday here with Auntie Nadine. She suggested we try this place and that it was all you can eat. I'm always down for places like this. We got here around 10am, because that's the time it said it opened on the app. However, they have new hours. They're now open from 11am-11pm. At least we were there early and found parking. After getting seated we perused the menu. They serve a la carte lunch specials which were a few dollars less than the AYCE, so we both just got the AYCE. We ended up getting the short rib, beef brisket, pork belly, beef tongue, bulgogi and pork jowl. I really liked the beef brisket and bulgogi. Along with those came a whole bunch of banchan sides. The corn cheese, fried mandoo and soft tofu stew were the best out of the sides. It was a lot of food. The male server helping us told us that they've been in service for twenty years. He helped cook our food. He also gave each of us a piece of Korean cinnamon candy after our meal. The cinnamon candy was yummy. Thanks to Nadine for taking me out again for my birthday. It was the third time. She's so crazy that woman, but I appreciate her. Thank you Auntie! Love you!

Yelp
All You Can Eat lunch in Honolulu, Hawaii... I heard about this place and always wanted to try it. My gal pal, Angel, was game to go, so, I picked her up "early" - for better parking. All of the free parking spaces in the front were open - yay! I also noticed a sign that indicated that more parking is available behind the building. It turned out that Seoul Garden Yakiniku opens at 11am - not 10am. I submitted an edit to Yelp - hope they update the information soon. I called the restaurant anyway to reserve a table for us. The lady who answered the phone said that they would open at 11am, but the door opened early for us! Thank you! We both selected the AYCE option (instead of one of the lunch specials). It seemed like a good deal for $28.95 because we were hungry! The banchan (including a green salad and tofu soup) was overwhelming! So many choices! We ordered the first round of meat: four items (short rib, beef tongue, pork belly, and beef brisket). We were able to do another round of two meats: bulgogi and pork jowl. The servers helped us cook a bit because we were too busy eating. Our grill was changed twice! Service was efficient and friendly. The male server said that they've been in business for twenty years! (Their Instagram page states that this business opened in 1999!) Wow! I wouldn't mind returning for the beef brisket, marinated short rib, and bulgogi! Note: It seemed a bit warm inside because the door was left open for fresh air and ventilation. There was a fly bothering us. A rotating gadget was placed on our table to chase the fly away - it worked!

Yelp
Okay, first off, that cheese corn they serve on a sizzling platter is AMAZING. I highly recommend getting that. Next, the banchan was PLENTIFUL. Usually the other yakiniku places give you a few dishes here and there but we had a plethora of various mini-dishes and that keeps you happy while you wait for your grill to heat up and the meat to come in. Now, on to the big question, how was the AYCE? Ok, well, it may have been because it was a slow day, but service was great. Aunty kept coming back to tend to our table consistently, frequent and generous with the water refills, and the plates of meat kept coming in; we would ask and she would deliver. This is huge with me; I notice that with most of the other yakiniku places I go to, by the third-to-fourth serving that you request your meats, they start skimping out on portions and your order starts getting smaller each time! Well, over here it was quite the opposite; I guess the downside is that the sliced portions they give you are way too thick for bite-sized so you gotta spend some time cutting it but I'll take that any day over the skimpy portions at other places like I mentioned. Also, I noticed we only had the salted sesame oil as dipping sauce so it would have been nice if we had another sauce option like a shoyu-based one. Still, the fact that I'm a guy who likes to put away a lot of meat for my money's worth makes me extremely satisfied with this place's service for catering to these needs, lol. Again, I'd like to emphasize that cheese corn. Oomph! I'd come back again just to order that.

Yelp
Went there for lunch today. Excellent service and the food is great. This is our second time and will be going back. Definitely our favorite spot to get Korean bbq on the island. The meat quality is good. The only complain is if you go with kid who is under 10 you still have to pay $25. My son is 5 years old and he barely eat anything.
google avatar

Yelp
I personally didn't eat here but a family member of mine shared their horrible experience. She said the food was good however she left a 15% tip (due to not being checked up on often) & one of the workers had the audacity to chase her down & tell her she HAD TO LEAVE AT LEAST AN 18% TIP. Their group was small maybe about 4 of them. I think this is completely unacceptable & rude. Tipping is not required. My family member is too nice. I would have took my tip back. It makes me wonder if they do this to all their customers. Haven't ate here for more than 10 years but after hearing this story I'll pass. I refuse to be forced to tip at least 18% especially when the service sucks!
google avatar

Moani K.

Yelp
Walked in at 9:30 Yelp shows they close at 11. The huge neon sign showed open.the big banner in-front of the restaurant shows they open till 11. Stood in front waiting to be seated. 9:45 comes and they lady in the back eating says the kitchen closes at 10..... So we stood there for 15 minutes just to be told the kitchen closes at 10 but the hours show they close at 11. Horrible We're now at sikdorak lmao

Yelp
Happy with the food, love the ambiance and the decoration of the place. Service? Totally ruined my experience. They did not offer the "all you can eat" menu. Had to be told by our friendly neighbor seated next to us (party of two, me and my boyfriend) about the deal. Brushing that off, we took their advice and asked for the all you can eat menu. Everything was going ok and decent, just pressed the button of service once for more salad, miso paste and one more round of meat. All was good, up until the end of paying. Never in my entire life was I given back my receipt to add more "tip" because the written amount isn't what you hoped for. Tip is a token of GRATITUDE, not something an establishment has immediate privilege to have. Truth I'm not a wow great big ol tip throw money left and right, but I give what I can within reason. To be given back the receipt and said "leave 10% you have to leave 10%" and then being asked if I was local and from here. First of all, what does my residency have to do with the amount of gratitude? Which I am, BUT TOTALLY BESIDES THE POINT. Locals know the point of cost of living in Oahu and to LOUDLY give back the receipt and COMPLAIN of the tip that was originally written by your customer ato complain "it's not enough" by your standards? Never coming here again. If you have the money to blow + want to be submissive and have someone tell you the tip x amount. Sure I recommend this place. Knock yourself out, but as for me and other fellow customers who want to be serviced with RESPECT. Keep walking and skip this restaurant. Update: I'm still extremely bothered and angry. Calculating again, how the lady server said "Leave at least 10%" Regrettably not calculating and my boyfriend adding cash more in the tip. my original tip was 10% anyway! SOMEONE REPORT THIS RESTAURANT TO THE CONSUMER PROTECTION OFFICE. THEIR RIDICULOUSLY RUDE, SHAMING AND BULLYING PEOPLE TO TIPPING
google avatar

Leif E.

Yelp
This place is my second favorite AYCE on island. The jjigae is great. The corn cheese is my favorite. The sides are pretty good. People misunderstand Korean restaurants-- you need to take charge and tell them what you want politely. They aren't there to baby you, but sometimes they will if you put them in a good mood. The mama always takes care whenever me and my friends go. We're overdue for a visit again. See you soon!
google avatar

Jayme K.

Yelp
Food is just okay. Service is non existent. If you dont tip 18%, they will chase after you!

Yelp
Delicious yakiniku. The yakiniku combo for 2 actually feeds 4. Great assortment of banchan/namul. So empty your bellies before going. The waitresses came to check on us multiple times to make sure we were attended to. They are quick to respond to the call button on the wall. Casual environment. And nice staff.

Jacqueline T.

Yelp
The food was great. The service was fine if a little slow. They weren't rude. But when I was leaving $20 tip after paying the 190$ bill in cash, the ajumma said "15% minimum. 30$". I gave her the 30$ and left after telling her that tip is being nice. Not a minimum. And you know what. That's the kind of impression that makes a customer think "I'm never coming here again." I don't care that this is one of the cheaper and easier AYCE in town. That kind of interaction is never how I want to leave a meal. TLDR; I was told 15% tip is minimum (and mandatory) and told to adjust my cash tip.

Yelp
Customer service is one selling points for businesses and this store definitely disappoints. When me and my friend asked the lady how much for dinner, we said that we'll think about it and apologized but the lady who approached us did not say anything and just rolled her eyes and turned head with straight up attitude. Since our first impression wasn't great we definitely wouldn't go back and try eating here. Was disappointed since I heard their food are great.

Yelp
My brother-in-law Craig T suggested Seoul Garden Yakaniku for lunch. Read the Yelp reviews from Auntie Nadine C and Fran C. Both were favorable, so I agreed. We went there early, and the drive time was really good from Kailua so we got there at ten o'clock. Posted on the sign outside was open at 11 o'clock. At about 10:30 a man walked past us and opened the door. We soon followed him, and we got seated. Note Google, Yelp, and the Seoul Garden website has an opening time of 10 o'clock. They do have an AYCE menu. We decided to order family style. For the three of us, we ordered Soft Tofu soup (mild) with seafood. The Kalbi short ribs, mandoo, and spicy cuttlefish. First to arrive was the Banchan and seaweed soup. The soup was cool and not that flavorful. I was empress by the selections of Banchans. The spicy cuttlefish and mandoo were average in taste. The tofu soup had a good flavor, a lot of tofu, but was sparse on the seafood. The winning dish was the Kalbi. Full of flavor and very tender. It had that slight char. Excellent dish. Enjoy

Yelp
Since I was on vacation and had a bit of time on my hands, one of my homies that I've known since high school wanted to take me out to lunch to catch up with each other. I told my friend that I had no particular place in mind, and to keep lunch simple, and that's how we ended up at - Seoul Garden Yakiniku. Over the years, I've been to this restaurant just a hand full of times, but I wanna say the last time I probably ate here has easily got to be over 20 years ago. The parking situation is rather tough with just a few parking stalls in the front of the restaurant. I'm not sure if there's more additional parking available in the back of the restaurant, but when I came here yesterday for lunch, there were two parking stalls that were open infront of the restaurant when I arrived. As I walked into the restaurant, we were greeted right away, and directed to sit at booth. Glasses of water, & menu's were brought to our table, and shortly afterwards our waitress came by to take our food order. After looking over the menu I decided to get the BBQ Chicken from the lunch menu, and my friend elected to get the Lunch Special which consisted of 2 items of these choices - (Kalbi, BBQ Chicken, Mandoo, Meat Jun). He ended up getting the Meat Jun & BBQ Chicken for his lunch special. Both of our lunches came with a bowl of white rice, & banchan to share - (Korean side dishes). What can I say about the grub? I would say it's your typical Korean BBQ fare. Nothing outstanding about our meal, but I gave Seoul Garden Yakiniku an overall score of "4" due to the food & impeccable service we received. Would I come back here should I be craving Korean BBQ? Sure, why not?

Yelp
Hate to edit my review. We came again and had no issues with the food. It was awesome as always. We did have an issue regarding the tip. Gave 15% and once we left, the lady chased us down to our car and demanded we tip 18%. Never in my life has that happened so it was a shock. I wanted to see if it only happened to us but to my surprise, many others had the same issue. I will still recommend their food but beware, if you tip bad, they will point that out and even chase you to your car and demand more.

Yelp
If you guys are looking for the best all you can eat kbbq, then you can't sleep on this gem. Located across from the 24 hour fitness on Kapiolani @seoulgardenyakiniku is serving up not only the best kbbq, but service, and price ! I know most people love the large variety that other places like gen, but out of all the AYCE Kbbq places I've had on island this is the best. They have parking right in front of their restaurant, a service button table side for when you're ready to order or need anything. The meat portions are huge every round, and the servers here are very attentive and make sure to refill your waters, ban chan, and change your grill without you even needing to ask. Seriously 10/10 experience! You have to check these guys out if you haven't already !

Yelp
The AYCE K BBQ comes with a ton of sides, and good quality meat. There is some parking right out front, and the restaurant is big so it doesn't feel too chaotic and crowded. The service is on the slower side - we had to ring the bell and ask for water a few times before we were actually served water but all in all, it was a great experience! On the pricier side but not too outrageous.

Yelp
My second visit here was really great. My first visit was maybe more than a decade ago before I even moved here or when we first moved here. I think the location and parking was what deterred me. But now that Chois kitchen is closed, I'm looking for a new Korean restaurant to replace it. Wandered over after going to something at the convention center. It was not full for a Saturday lunch. Inside is like a Korean village house looked pretty legit. Not modern but good ventilation system. Wish they would close the front door bc flies. A super friendly man greeted us and he was our server. Very nice, lotsa jokes, very attentive. There's a button you press if you need service but he was on top of it. Checked on us regularly. Maybe the best service I've had at a Korean restaurant here. I had the dolsot bibimbap and it was great. Could've used more veg but still the stone was super hot and made a nice nooroongi. Good enough banchan. The hub got naengmyun and it was good. Overall very happy with the food. The price seems on par with other Korean places. I think I heard there might be parking in the back? Not sure but if the parking was better I'd come here a lot more. Gonna try it again - of the places I've tried post Chois garden closure, this is one of the better ones. The neighborhood isn't the best with the massive construction next door and the nudie bar on the other side but whatevs. I gotta get my bbb fix.

Yelp
One of the better AYCE Korean BBQ on island You probably see more Koreans here and at Han Yang (also another AYCE), whereas you see more locals at GEN, and Sura . Yes prices have gone up a little , but where else hasn't ? The AYCE includes cheese corn, tofu stew, and mandoo. Check out my pic I'll post on what meats you can get. The aunties here try their best !

Yelp
I haven't been here in a while! The prices really went up... but I see business is better now. Last time I came here it was kind of dead so I was worried. So seeing it busy despite the prices was nice. Good sign was also seeing all the locals ~ we ordered the premium all you can eat(dinner time menu) I can't remember all the meat choices but it's a lot. Let's see there was brisket, pork belly, pork cheek, chicken etc. all the good stuff. And of course it comes with lovely banchan and a mini stew! While enjoying our meal I really liked the vibe. It's just nice and cozy. The servers were top tier too! Consistently changing the grill before it started getting any nasty burnt bits. Kept the meat coming with really big portions with every round we ordered. Very fresh with no smell. Also! Usually I leave kbbq smelling Smokey but the servers adjust the grill perfect each time so I give them a bonus just for that. I really did all the banchan and stew a lot but the kimchis and fishcakes always have a special place for me. I always love love love the stews here and soups but I remember it being spicier but either way DELICIOUS. I will definitely be back but more so for a special occasion or a good reason due to the price increase.

Yelp
My brother wanted to try this place, he said everytime he passes this place he said 1 day I'll try it. Well he called me and said before he starts the new school year he said we go lunch. I'm gamed. Saw Aunty Nadine post about the time that this place opens. Yelp says they open at 10:00. Google says they open at 10:00. Or we'll who to believe we decided to go in between times 10:30. Well we parked and a Korean man came out from the night club next door and I said he must be the owner to open up and sure enough I don't know if he is the owner but did open the door before 11:00. We went in he said any place and started to bring water and menus to us. Well we didn't want to cook so we ordered family style 4 dishes. Kalbi short ribs, fried mandoo, spicy squid with vegetables and soft tofu soup with seafood. The banchan was plentiful and tasty. The kalbi short ribs was soft and had good taste. The tofu soup was very good not spicy. The fried mandoo was ok. And the fried squid was a little chewy but ok. The seaweed soup wasn't hot even though it was served in a metal bowl. Everything was very good. Don't mind coming here again. It was getting very busy after 11:30. I guess it's the lunch hour. Lot of Korean people was there I think we were the only locals. Will be back in the future.

Yelp
The cost of AYCE and what you get, I say the price is so worth it. It's practically a steal. You get seasoned lettuce, corn, soup/stew, mandoo and an endless supply of banchan and meat. I was very impressed by the free stew. The Miso Stew was *chef's kiss* -- I am comparing their Miso Stew to any other AYCE Korean BBQ places that offer "stew/soup" in their AYCE menu. Gens is nothing but water with gochujang paste dissolved in it, or other places that have 1-2-3 pieces of Tofu and that's it. The Miso Stew had everything a miso stew should have - pieces of shrimp, mussles, and pieces of squid in there. YUM. I like how the workers bring a ton of meat the first round, and they help you cook it. I don't really like the wait at some other AYCE places, for the second round of meat. The wait is so long that your grill is turning black because you already ate your first round. But here I notice the down time is pretty much none. For example, the workers come around pretty often that you're hardly out of your favorite banchan too. It's a little tight if you are a party of 4, but either than that... my family and I do enjoy coming here.

Yelp
Listen up everyone... Before coming here I read the reviews about the service and somehow was not deterred-simply because it was located next door to a strip club. If there's anything I know, it's that this must be THE late night grub spot to be at! That being said, let's get into my food testimony: -We were greeted with a smile and immediately seated. -The food came out fast! I believe it was AYCE for $27ish bucks... -They assist with cooking from time to time. -The place was clean. -The all said bye to me after we left lol. I thought the service was excellent btw. Pro tip: Start by eating the meat and salad first, then go for the rice mid meal. Thank me later!!!

Yelp
I don't usually leave bad reviews but this visit was not satisfactory in the least. Their food is great, but the service falls behind slightly to put it a nice way. My friend and I come here often, and it is usually a friendly experience. But the first foreboding omen of the coming (highly unsatisfactory) experience came when we had just gotten seated and the server asked us which four meats we wanted, BUT instead just chose the meat types for us after waiting a whopping total of 10 seconds. We were in a daze after that. Also unfortunately, on this particular Wednesday, there were tons of tourists from Korea. There were only three servers so we were understanding and told them to take their time. However, we did not know this would mean (1) being sat on a table with a broken call button, and (2) being checked on a total of twice in the time that we were there. To make it worse, our grill was unhealthily charred, and when we managed to ask to *possibly* have our grill changed, they refused to and attempted to wipe it with a paper towel instead; of course, it didn't work. However, everyone has a bad day at work, so we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt. This does not, however, excuse the treating people rashly and rudely. I am very honest with my tipping, and will always stick to a 15% minimum; +5-15% if the service is amazing, and -5% if the service is subpar. On this day, I stuck to the latter. The lady at the window stared at the tip on the bill and exclaimed, "10%?!" -- Yes, 10%. If I were ungrateful, I would have tipped "0." At this point, I attempt to take the bill back and add the 5% she threw a fit over, because I am a terrible people-pleaser. However, the sprinkles on top comes when she pulls it out of my hand and throws the bill on the desk in front of her without another word. Big ick. The food is great, admittedly. However, I would not recommend coming here, if you (1) like choosing your meats (2) don't like using a charred grill for 1.5+ hours, (3) are an honest tipper, and (4) are easily offput by passive aggressive comments and behavior from grown adults. Will not be coming back anymore.

Yelp
I'm leaving this review for my Grand-daughter who is only 17 and didn't know better. She was dining with her friend who was also 17. I'm extremally upset and want people to be aware of how these employees treat their customers. When my Grand-daughter went to pay the bill she paid with a card. She didn't include the tip on the card because she was going to leave cash. The server had the nerve to ask about her tip. My Grand-daughter said I was going to leave cash. When she gave her the tip this woman had the audacity to tell her it wasn't enough and she had to give her more to make 18%!!!!! My Granddaughter used her birthday money to have a nice meal and gave a 15% tip which wasn't even deserved because the server spilled kimchee juice on her and didn't even apologize! She gave the Rude woman more money because she felt bullied and threated. How dare they intimidate a teenager like that. And now I see they do that to others. SO RUDE!!!

Yelp
Went for lunch ayce and it's a deal for $30. The tongue, bellies, Jowl and octopus were all winners. The boneless kalbi was a little tough and the worst of all that we tried. But good, attentive service and the ventilation that sucked the smoke was strong so you're not smelling like a bbq when done is always nice. Will be coming back again

Yelp
My wife and I wanted Korean for her birthday dinner and it ended up being a poor choice. Made reservations for 7p, not needed, was almost empty. Stood at the door when arriving and no one was there, finally was seated. We decided against the All You Can Eat and went Ala Carte. They moved us to another table since we didn't need the grill. I had the Kalbi, which lacked flavor. My wife ordered the a beef bone soup. The broth made it almost inedible. Think mop water. We actually didn't even take away after maybe 4 bites. It was also creepy that one of the waitresses just kept staring at my wife. It made her uncomfortable and we were out in less the 30 mins. This place is not nearly on par with other Korean restaurants.

Yelp
We saw this restaurant on Instagram, being reviewed by a foodie person. With good faith we figured looks like a great date night place let's check it out. Called to make reservations and was yelled at "what time you like come" when we were just asking how busy they were... took for granted that maybe language barrier, whatever let's just go. Everything was good, the sides came out and took our order no problem. A little pushy but figured it's a busy place. The real issue is when it came time to pay. My boyfriend went to the counter to pay and I walked outside to get fresh air. He eventually comes out and we are walking to our car when the lady comes out saying he didn't tip 15%. We eat out a lot and if the service is good, the tip reflects it. But In no way is there a minimum of what should be tipped! I'm sad we didn't read the Yelp reviews before we went cause I'm sure I would not have gone here knowing this. YOU CANNOT EXPECT 15% TIP IF OUR DRINKS GO DRY AND YOU KEEP SPILLING FOOD EVERYWHERE EVERY-TIME YOU BRING SOMETHING TO THE TABLE. &&& THE PLACE WASNT EVEN BUSY. MAYBE 20% of the tables had customers. We try to support local when we go out for date night. But honestly go somewhere else that will appreciate your business & ultimately give you better service. They chased us down because our tip was $2 short of being 15% and even the amount we gave them I thought was generous for the mediocre service we got. And now they lost future business over $2. SMH.

Yelp
Located across of Ala Moana with about 5 parking stalls in front. If you park in the back lot you will need to pay $3 for parking. When walking into the restaurant it is bigger than you would think. They even had smaller rooms for groups of about 10. We were in the back of the restaurant without any other groups around us on a Saturday night so it was very comfortable. We ordered ala crate which ended up coming out more expensive than the all you can eat but there is more variety in what you can order. All the meats were very tasty I would say some of the the cuts were thicker than I would like but tender that I did not mind. My favorite had to be the kalbi soaked in there sauce. It was so soft it melted in my mouth. We also enjoyed the harami and the beef tongue which was very tasty and the portion sides were fair for the price. The service was very quick to deliver food after being ordered except for refilling water which took awhile. They also changed out the grills often which is very nice as you need to continue grilling saucy meat. In general, I would definitely go back as everything we ordered was good!

Yelp
Pretty real legit Korean food. You can get your moneys worth by getting the AYCE. Fill up on marinated kalbi and other meats.

Yelp
Since childhood, many of my relatives often told me that Korean cuisine (Hansik) represents the taste of Nature from the mountains, the sea and the Four Seasons. Sometimes, they'd bring food over to our home or we'd go over to their homes. But, mostly, we'd just go out to Korean restaurants so we'd not bother our relatives. But, hey, my family is Chinese and we found out that the Korean food that our relatives would bring to us was actually a HYBRID of Chinese and Korean foods, otherwise known as "Junghwa Yori or 中華料理". For us, Korean cuisine is not only delicious but is one of the healthiest Asian cuisines as its key ingredients are rice, noodles, meats, seafood and tofu. There are the side dishes called "banchan" that include the famous fermented (pickled) spicy vegetables aka kimchi. Dining at a Korean restaurant means you're going to be treated to a sumptuous meal especially when AYCE Korean barbecue is offered and/or you have the option of ordering from the menu like at Seoul Garden Yakiniku. Upon entry into Seoul Garden, we noticed that they had good ventilation as the restaurant didn't have a strong smoky smell. My husband's nephew and his fiancée invited us to dine with them and we gave them liberty to order for us. The server who we called "ajumma" immediately brought us glasses of iced water and menus. Then she brought out 6 small side dishes (banchan) which included kimchi and namul (seasoned vegetables). Next, a sizzling platter of cheese corn and mandoo/mandu (dumplings). We received cauldrons of doenjang jjigae (soybean paste stew), soondubu jjigae (soft tofu stew), kimchi jjigae (kimchi stew) and miyeok guk (seaweed soup). Platters of different cuts of meats (pork and beef) and seafood were delivered. When the grilling began, we pulled down the exhaust fan so we wouldn't find ourselves being smoked, too. Let's just say that we double ordered on several items and each time a new platter was delivered, the ajumma changed out the grill. We liked the variety of soups/stews, banchan, meats and seafood while the AYCE offered us a good value at less than $30 per person. Service was prompt and efficient. Oh, at each table, there was a call button that we could've used to summon the ajumma but we didn't need it even when the restaurant filled with more diners. Thanks to my husband's nephew and fiancée, we finally got to try this Korean BBQ House and we look forward to returning soon.

Yelp
Love going here authentic Korean yakiniku. Like the other reviews says you have to know how to communicate what you want and you'll have a great experience. Cant beat the price for the ayce.

Yelp
This place was not as I expected at all. The price per person were a little expensive and the inside is super crazy loud. The servers were a little irritated which is understandable but still I would definitely choose this as somewhat a last minute choice. The meat are not seasoned only about one or two things the rest you gotta depend on the dipping sauce that they gave you.

Yelp
$30 for one plate of noodles with vegetables way too expensive it doesn't say it cost $30 anywhere on the menu for that and when I tried to ask why it was $30 the server wouldn't show me what I was being charged for on the menu

Yelp
This place is just A M A Z I N G! ! ! The service almost made me cry as dorky as that sounds... It's so hard to eat at places w/2 kids 2 yrs and and 4 months old!!! The servers truthfully felt like family... They were so nice, even feeding my 2 yr old at 1 point. Understanding when Oliver dropped his plate. Brought Nori as a little snack. Tina and Dance and several other servers who's names I didn't catch were just so damn attentive and kindhearted. Feels harder and harder to find servers or honestly ppl in general these days that are that pleasant and hardworking. I haven't even mentioned the food yet?!!! The sides are amazing and the portions are delicious!!! We are heading back w/more friends ASAP!!!
