Such a wonderful experience! I will definitely be coming back. The service was excellent! The hosts were accommodating and answered all of my questions. They made everyone feel like a regular customer they know. The utensils were laid out and easy to navigate. The atmosphere was incredible and you can tell the owners put incredible thought and attention to detail into the decoration and layout of the restaurant. A tteokbokki craving was the reason I stopped by (and it exceeded my expectations!) but I also ordered Manduguk at the last minute and the broth was so flavorful! The sides… OH MY GOSH the SIDES! The best part of my meal and they make them fresh daily! I will definitely be back!

This place was absolutely amazing. I don't think I've ever had such incredible service anywhere else. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and able to order right away. While we were waiting, the owner came over to talk to us and was truly the sweetest. Her staff was just as kind, apologizing for any delays and quickly bringing anything we asked for. The food is a bit on the pricey side, but for quality Korean food in a city like Lubbock, it felt worth it. I also appreciated that they had all the utensils and extras laid out so I could grab exactly what I needed. Everything we ordered was delicious. We got the dumplings, fried shrimp, kimchi stew, and bulgogi beef. My boyfriend chose the spicy version of the bulgogi, and it wasn’t our favorite, but I think that was mainly because of the spice. If we had gone with the regular version, we probably would have loved it, since the beef and seasoning were still very flavorful. The dumplings were also really good and were gone in seconds. The shrimp was decent, though not particularly special, so I might skip it next time, even though the sauce it came with was very flavorful. The kimchi stew was the highlight for me. I absolutely loved it. Even though it looked like a small portion at first, it was actually very filling. It also came with a great variety of traditional side dishes, which they happily refilled when I asked. I really enjoyed getting to try different kinds of kimchi I hadn’t had before. We ordered extra rice to go with the stew, and it made the whole meal even better. The entire experience was wonderful, from the warm service to the cozy environment and tasty food. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend it.

Google
The food is amazing. I grew up in Southern California where they have some of the best Korean style plates and this place made me feel right back home. Amazing food, amazing service, I came in during dinner time and was still served within 20-30 minutes. I highly recommend to anyone looking for some quality food in a calm and delightful setting.

Google
Without a doubt one of the best restaurants in Lubbock! Food is authentic and delicious. The owners and employees are soooo nice, and eagerly welcome everyone with compliments. They gave us extra rice for free, and an extra side of potatoes. And since it was so cold today and I was shivering, they even had a space heater to warm me up. I’ve never seen such outstanding service. Also have to mention how cute and homey this restaurant is! I’ll definitely recommend this place to my family and friends!

Google
I can’t say enough good things about this place. It was one of my favorite restaurants in town during my years at Tech and it still remains a favorite place, even though I’m not in town much anymore. The new location is incredible and the people are just wonderful. The food is exceptional. I always used to get the Dolsot Bibimbap and got it again this visit. It’s still amazing and I recommend it to anyone. The food, service, and atmosphere combine for an excellent dining experience that shouldn’t be missed.

Google
This place is an absolute must stop if you are in Lubbock. The food was full of flavor and unique in many ways. The staff was amazing and explained all their food. I will definitely be returning.

This is such a fantastic place. The portions are huge, the service is amazing, and the food is so savory. First time being here with my sister and we loved it. Very much worth the food and deserves more recognition.

We've been to this restaurant twice now and have had a wonderful experience each time. The food is absolutely delicious, and the atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. One of the highlights is the owner, who is incredibly sweet and kind—it really adds a personal touch that makes the experience even more special. While water is self-service, similar to how it's done in Korea, the overall service remains attentive and thoughtful. Every visit has been smooth, enjoyable, and memorable. We’re already looking forward to coming back again soon! Highly recommend to anyone looking for great food and genuine hospitality!

Yelp
Admittedly, I'm not an expert on Korean cuisine. But when I saw a reserved table with 7 local Korean men who gathered to share a meal for 45 minutes at this restaurant, I took it as a sign that this is the real deal. My guess is that they gather here regularly, perhaps weekly, to share an authentically delicious Korean meal. The large screen menu at the counter where we ordered had very helpful photos of the appetizers and entrees. We were not disappointed by the food. For appetizers, My spouse had a pork egg roll, which he enjoyed. I had an order of fried sweet potatoes, which I had not previously eaten. They were piping hot. Once they cooled down a bit, they were very delicious and filling. Because my spouse has a small senior citizen-sized appetite, we decided to share the Kimchi Jigae with tofu. The vegetarian stew came with rice and sides that included pickled cucumbers, pickled radishes, and kimchi. We were able to get more sides upon request. If we had wanted more rice, we could have had that as well. This was just the right amount of food for us. It was absolutely delicious. The service was great. The young man who took our order was very helpful. The server was very polite. And the Korean chef and proprietor checked on our satisfaction with the food, as well. I wish I had taken a photo or two. I would definitely return to this restaurant.

Yelp
I would have given this place 10 * it was absolutely AMAZING on point Korean tasting food. They gave so much for the price had to take home my leftovers, wasn't about to was it. Love there fish take atmosphere no need change the water or feed the fish lol. Place is very clean and the staff is so courteous and friendly. The owner she was also amazing went to every table to see how things was going and if you need any more of anything let her know. Her setup was so cute and convenient with utensils plates even take out boxes. She needs to open this restaurant all over the United States. It's that good and very tasteful yummy food. I was so into Edie. I forgot to take photos.

Yelp
We certainly didn't go to Lubbock expecting authentic and tasty Korean but definitely found it here. The husband/wife owners have it dialed in! We have Korean in-laws and they would agree - this place does it right. We tried all varieties of food: steamed (dumplings), fried (pork cutlet), baked (beef bulbuli((?)), and pan seared (seafood pancake). The medley of all was fantastic. Definitely make this a stop!

Yelp
This is THE place to go if you want good food. the pricing is extremely reasonable and everything tastes like it was made with love. The servers and owner of the place are extremely sweet and always check up on you, and the dining area is cozy and comfortable. If you need a place to calm down or a date night, this is where you go. I reccomend the spicy or mild pork tenderloin. If you don't finish it, take it home and put it in the fridge. Microwave 1-1.5 mins and it tastes even better.

Yelp
Food was delicious and quick. Owner quite possibly might be the nicest guy ever. Super helpful and makes sure you're satisfied with the food! He also gave me some good recs for koren food in my home town of Dallas. Must try!

Kaleb V.

Yelp
Great food, clean restaurant, excellent service, and they bring your food, surprisingly fast. I would recommend this to anybody.

Yelp
Still the best Korean food in town, homemade, with the best katsu as well. Side dishes are generously refilled and completely delicious (especially the bean sprouts!) The folks that run this place are the best human beings you will ever meet, and I would continue to recommend this place as bringing solid culture to Lubbock before we started getting the new places! This will always be an original OG legendary place ~

Yelp
Amazing food, lots of options! Lovely owners :) Probably the best Korean food in Lubbock

Yelp
The food here is possibly the best in Lubbock. The service was great. These people are always happy and act as though they're actually honored to serve you. They're proud of their food and they should be!!
google avatar

Mrittika G.

Yelp
The chicken was both fresh and tender! The portions were quite large and definitely can be shared between 2 people. All the pickled veggies on the side were unlimited and paired perfectly with the spicy chicken.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely delicious and friendly every time. The person at the register is very helpful and I appreciate how they took the time to explain dishes I haven't heard of.

Chunho S.

Yelp
Great seafood pancakes. Great hospitality. Very authentic food. Probably the best Korean restaurant in West Texas.

Yelp
The food was amazing!! I had the Bulgogi and my granddaughter had the bibimbap and both were great portions. And for someone who has never liked kimchi from a jar; to know it was made in house and so freaking delicious was an incredible find. Also the kimchi garlic stems were good too. What made it special however was the gentleman and lady who went out of their way to explain the dishes and provided great service! Would definitely recommend and next time in Lubbock will be back.

Yelp
Food was okay, the bulgogi was in small pieces and I feel like there was a lot of fat and tendon in it rather than the meat. Service was not impressive. We essentially serviced ourselves but I don't mind that. But was annoying was that I was eyeing a table at the restaurant where a family was sitting because it looked cozy and warmer (I was feeling cold), so when they left, my husband and I moved there. A minute later, the owner comes Ava tells us the table is reserved and kicks us out to sit in the table next to it. I'm thinking, we got here first, just save the other table for the reservation. But I didn't want to be rude so we complied and moved over one table. We waited over 30min (my husband literally set a timer because we had a beer to see how long it would take...and he lost) to get our food, during which time we witnessed another couple leave the restaurant and took their food to go because the food was taking forever. Anyway, we finally get our food after 30 min of waiting, and I look over at the table we got kicked out from and no one had arrived to sit there. We eat our meal and packed our leftovers in to go containers, another 30min or so, and still no one was there!!! When I looked around the room, I saw they blocked the tables in the corner and I was pretty sure they only blocked them so they can force us to sit in the middle and make their restaurant look full through the window view from the outside! I was appalled that they literally made customers who were already seated, get up and literally move to another table and lie about the reason, just for that reason!!! This to me is poor customer service as they're not serving the customer and not taking into consideration the comfort of their current customers. Instead they prioritize using current customers to advertise themselves, which is very selfish and not customer oriented . Oh, and they were renovating while customers were dining in there!!! I normally don't care not do I blame them, but this just further shows they don't care about the ambiance they are creating for their customers, but rather want to put their workers to use while they're on the clock rather than have them stay overtime to help with putting up their new menu board and TV screens.

Yelp
We stopped by Lubbock for a night on our way back from a skiing trip and wanted to get some Asian food for dinner. Seoul came up as one of the top rated one and happened to be very close to our hotel, so we decided to give it a try. This is not a full service restaurant. You have to order at the counter and get water and utensils yourself but the owner is super friendly and happy to explain to you what all the different menu items are. We went for our usual favorite dish, La Calbi, Bibimbap, Tofu stew, and also tried the Jap Chae (glass noodle). I used to live close to the Korean Town in Garden GroveI so I have had a lot of good Korean food. I think La Calbi, Bibimbap, Jap Chae all came out as you would expect from a good Korean restaurant though not something that will make me remember though. The tofu stew is not comparable to those I had in Garden Grove or in the LA area but still tasted good (but I still haven't found a Korean restaurant in Texas which can make similar Tofu stew either so it's definitely not a disappointment.) In short, food here is fresh and all tasted great (we cleaned all the plates). Prices are very reasonable as well. So, it's definitely a go-to place if you have craving for Korean food in Lubbock.

Yelp
Luckily, my job has allowed me the opportunity to travel from coast to coast in the United States. Having eaten in many places, I will say this is the best Korean that I've ever had. Not only is the food fabulous, the owner is an absolute delight. Make time to come here. It will be well worth it!!!

Shay D.

Yelp
The service was amazing! Very friendly and explained what all the different dishes were. The food was wonderful! We loved everything that we ate!

Yelp
Seoul Korean Cuisine is my favorite restaurant to eat at! I love the owners! They treat you like family!

Yelp
Excellent food! You know exactly what you're getting every time! The best hospitality in Lubbock. The owners are very nice and attentive. The food is homemade, fresh and delicious. Absolutely the best Korean food in town.

Yelp
Wow! What an awesome place. My boyfriend and I just went in today for the first time after a friend recommended it. The service was so amazing and the food was even better. Definitely will be coming back.

Yelp
I didn't have high expectations for Korean food in America. I thought it would taste quite different. But I was wrong! All of the food I ordered was so flavorful and fresh! I was so touched by the taste of the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant. As a Korean I can guarantee to you, this restaurant serves real Korean food. Some of the dishes had better tasting meat than the dishes in Korea.( I guess because they make it with Texas beef. ) Also, the owner is very kind, as well as her staff! Thank you again for your kindness and delicious meals!

Yelp
Another yelp winner on a long road trip. Lubbock is the last place I'd think of for authentic Korean food but many positive reviews caused us to give this place a try. We eat vegetarian and the restaurant was extremely accommodating in making dishes with tofu versus beef. We had the Dolsot bimbimbap and jap chae. Both were really delicious and very authentic. Our original jap chae came out with beef and they were extremely apologetic and made another dish asap. We also asked for another kind of tofu (versus the fried that came with the bimbimbap) and the owner even offered us a choice. He said he had just taken over the restaurant a month before. The female chef also greeted us and said she made the Kim chi and other tasty sides from scratch. I love supporting local and even better first generation immigrant families trying to make their way in our country. What a wonderful find and we will come back on our next road trip. FYI he said they are moving close by so it will be an upgrade from the current tired digs.

Yelp
This was my parents first time eating here. The person that waited on us took the time to explain the dishes and what was in them. We ordered the Japchae, Beef Bulgogi, and Bibimbap and a couple of egg rolls. They were all very delicious. The kimchi and the Korean radish sides were tasty as well. The restaurant was mostly full, but not busy. The staff checked on us multiple times and made a special effort that my parents had a good experience as we sat at the table.
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
A bit of a disappointment....not sure if it was untrained cooks or Americanized dishes, but not one of the main dishes we ordered tasted authentic. A fully cooked rubbery egg on the bibimbap, soggy udan noodles in the soup, and poorly carmelized bulgolgi. But, the appetizers and traditional sides were pretty good, and ambiance was nice.
google avatar

Robert B.

Yelp
Wow!! This place was such a huge surprise, totally inconspicuous from the outside, but warm and cozy feeling inside. The owner lady was so incredibly nice and encouraged us to try all the different sides as well as give us as much as we wanted. The marinated squid was fantastic and well worth seconds. The egg rolls and gyoza were both fantastic. I also got the tonkatsu but the chicken version and it was crunchy and delicious, not to mention huge!

Harrison W.

Yelp
This place is absolute trash, terrible service, rude staff. everything is dirty. I can not even find the words to describe how terrible this place is. would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.
google avatar

Ferrin A.

Yelp
Perfect Korean food every time! The owners and staff provide amazing service, quickly refill the kimchi that is a bonus (and free!) that comes before your meal. The ambiance is so comfy and cozy, with lots of light, beautiful wooden floors, and paintings all throughout the restaurant! It's a wonderful place that feels like home Highly recommend for the best traditional Korean food in Lubbock!
google avatar

Michael H.

Yelp
Simi-self service restaurant. You walk-in, order your food and pay upfront at the counter, get your own utensils, and drinking water. They will bring you food and refill any side dishes. Food tastes good but giving them 4 star because I gave 20 percent tip upfront and wasn't informed that they are simi-self service restaurant. Anyway, the food was good :).

Raechel E.

Yelp
Seoul is hands down one of my family's favorite restaurants in town. The owner and staff are always so polite and kind. The food is always fresh, made to order, and everything is so good. You can't go wrong with the spicy pork or beef bulgogi, but everything we have tried is delicious. The dining room is no frills, comfortable and clean. We love Seoul and highly recommend this awesome lubbock restaurant.
google avatar

Yelp
Great food. Friendly homely service. Good presentation and cleanliness. Very friendly and calm environment. Definitely be back.

Yelp
This is the best Korean food I've had since living in Seoul. The man working the counter is an absolute delight! If you haven't tried this place, you need to. I plan to make it a regular stop when I travel here for business. Amazing food.
google avatar

Jill B.

Yelp
Amazing food. Get the dumplings and egg rolls. And they bring you endless kimchi and other fermented food that are made in house and delicious. We had many different main meals and all were delicious.
google avatar

Leigh S.

Yelp
OMG OMg. This place is awesome!!! The outside is a little dilapidated but the inside is bright and clean . The service was outstanding The little snack of peanuts, m&ms and pistachios was a nice surprise and enjoyed Egg rolls were outstanding Fried sweet potatoes was different but oh so tasty and the helping was generous Steamed dumplings were fresh and tasty with plenty of sauce We had a pork main dish #17 made mild and it was sooo good The owner brought out some complimentary kimchi, bean spraouts and friend fish. There was a fourth item but I don't remember what she said it was I've never tried kimchi and it was tasted but I inhaled the sprouts and fish before my husband could even try them lol Love love rice this place and it is now a new favorite

Caylin W.

Yelp
From the service, to the food, to the atmosphere, this establishment was exceptional. As a connoisseur of Asian cuisine, I was worried to get my hopes up in Lubbock; nonetheless, this place smacked. Highly recommend. They also had a college discount!
google avatar

Kit F.

Yelp
New location in a nice, open, hardwood floored space. Same great food. Everything is single handedly made by a lone Korean woman (the new owner now that the couple who used to run the place are retired to Dallas). Staff are pleasant kids from Tech. Bulgogi is rich, flavorful, satisfying and comes with four different types of kimchi. If you're used to hot food, mild and medium will be bland to you. "Spicy" it isn't, even at the hottest level, but still leaves a bit of a tingle. Bibimbap is also great, served piping hot in the traditional stone bowl. Banchan (vegetable) options are limited; you can't order sigeumchi namul or hobak bokkeum here, or anything else that resembles a side dish of veg. Plan on getting your meat and rice here and cooking a quick veg dish at home. Once you order, you'll get your food in 15 minutes. Can't beat that on a late night.

Yelp
The owner Sue was warm and wonderful! The food was great and I would go out of my way to eat here again!!
google avatar

Jon H.

Yelp
My mom and I stopped by here on our way back to California from Georgia. We were super excited that there was a Korean restaurant in town and the food was great. The husband and wife owners are extremely friendly and nice. They did us a solid by letting us eat in the restaurant during their mid-day closing hours because my mom and I were on day two of our road trip to CA and we were looking forward to eating here since the day before when I found the place on Yelp. We were getting tired of eating fast food and being Korean ourselves, we were craving the Korean food for about two weeks. I'm not leaving this review because they were nice but to let everyone know the food here is amazing and authentic.
google avatar

Yelp
The service was top-notch. Food was amazing fresh and everything came out so fast. 100% recommend

Yelp
Everything is great! The servers and owners are amazing and make sure you are enjoying your meal. As a hardcore foodie this restaurant has become one of my personal favorites.

Yelp
The restaurant is clean, the man taking your order is super sweet and the food is fresh and DELICIOUS!!!!

Yelp
This place had it all. Our waiter was incredibly kind, the ambiance had me grinning ear to ear, and the food was nothing short of amazing. While I myself am not Korean, I can certainly say that almost anyone would enjoy what's here. Not only that, but the owner of the restaurant was incredibly active within the establishment, willing to explain anything to the customers and checked in on how people liked the food. This attentive service went above and beyond, and really left an impression! This place is a hidden gem for Lubbock's standards, and I can only hope that this review helps get it seen by more people.

Boudicca O.

Yelp
The food was wonderful! Truly a great addition to unique flavors in Lubbock. The service was also great. We were walked through menu items we had questions about and given good recommendations. The whole place was nice on the inside as well. The only downside was that it was a bit pricey. Where usual West Texas pricing was expected, we were met with Dallas type pricing. Other than that, I recommend it.
google avatar

Jacquelyn G.

Yelp
The food is so good! You get alot for what you pay for. The service was great and kind. It felt very clean and peaceful inside:)
google avatar

Cowboy S.

Yelp
The food was exceptional. The atmosphere was calm and homely. I enjoy Korean food but this excelled past my expectations. I enjoyed the self-service drink stations too. I spoke personally with the chef and she was a very sweet lady with a heck of a hand at cooking.
google avatar

Laura V.

Yelp
So many great things to say about this place including the other diners. My nephew and I arrived during a rush of take out and delivery orders being filled. The staff was incredibly patient in helping us navigate their menu and decide what to order. We didn't mind the delay. It provided my nephew and I plenty of time to catch up. The owner and staff were exceptionally kind and apologetic for the delay. As they say everything for a reason. My nephew and I met and chatted with other diners while waiting. It was a great experience. The food and complementary mochi were delicious.
google avatar

Cindy L.

Yelp
Legit flavors, great prices, large portions, and very nice staff. Considering that there isn't a Korean grocery store around the corner, the quality and variety of the food was a pleasant surprise. My only minor quibble with my Bibimbap was that the fried egg on top was cold. Otherwise the Bibimbap was a lot of food and very good. The banchan (little side dishes) that accompanied the entrees were delicious. The Kimchi Pancakes were also tasty. We'll be back!
google avatar

M V.

Yelp
If you want great Korean food this is the place to be!! The Bibimbap Dolsot, Soondubu, Tteokbokki and all the sides were delicious. We left so full and so happy. The owners are so generous and kind. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Korean food AND those who are not familiar with Korean cuisine bc the owners will gladly explain what the dishes consist of. Highly recommend!!
google avatar

Julie C.

Yelp
Absolutely the kind of place you crave after the first time. I'll gladly try the whole menu. Great portion sizes as well.
