"Since Seoul Street’s northside dining room is very small and its Korean fried chicken is immensely popular, online ordering has always been strongly recommended. The restaurant’s double-frying technique creates extra-crispy chicken, so the crunch is still there after the drive home." - John Reyes

Google
The best fried chicken I've ever had, both sauces are great but the hot is a must, the dumplings are great too. There's a wait on the chicken from 15-30 minutes but it's made to order and more than well worth the wait. The prices are great for the quality of what you're getting. Will definitely be going back

Google
I think 4 stars is apt for this establishment. Delicious chicken no doubt, that batter is incredible. Definitely go for the soy garlic or spicy both are tasty. The kimchi on the fries was delicious as well. Now for the cons. The chicken isn't mind blowing but the flavors are great, that spicy chicken is great but feels tamed down, could be the gochujang they use. The kimchi too had that great fermenty flavor but no spice or perhaps it's drowned by the cheese and other ingredients. Overall, I'd probably go again and I enjoyed my first experience there. 4 stars!

Google
An interesting twist on normal fried chicken. Ordered the medium combo with wings and chicken legs in half and half sauce, and the corn salad side. The chicken was hot, and super crispy!! The pieces were coated in just the right amount of sauce and not dredged in it. Though I felt the hot sauce was a little more spicy than I could handle. The side wasn't a salad at all, just sweet corn from a can packed in a disposable. Nonetheless it went with the chicken well. 2 stars less because despite the food being great, there is definitely room for improvement. 1. The wait was too long. If the server had informed us before we placed our order we might have reconsidered. 2. There is limited seating and the restaurant needs to improve on the cleanliness to encourage more patrons to dine in.

Google
Seoul street is a small, no-frills spot that offers some “traditional” Korean food like kimchi fried rice as well as more fusion dishes like kimchi fries. Pros: the food is fantastic, the prices are affordable, and it’s in a great location for people living on north campus Cons: the elephant in the room— the person who I believe is the owner is rude. He’s not friendly and he doesn’t seem to really care about the customer. HOWEVER, The interaction you have with him is very short, and the food is just so delicious that I don’t mind a minimal, unpleasant interaction. He’s not even usually the person at the register oftentimes. My recs: Korean fried chicken (soy garlic and spicy are both good, spicy is very spicy!) and the kimchi fries (I’ve had kimchi fries in various places across the country and none have compared to the kimchi fries here) Pro tip: order way way ahead and order online for pick u. They’re not the most responsive over the phone.

Google
Great Korean street food with a no nonsense experience. The place is a little rough around the edges and won't win any awards for upkeep but I'm here for the food and there was no disappointment. The chicken is tasty, both sauce options are good but I think next time I'll go all spicy. The street combo is a great way to get a sampling of a few different things from the menu, or just bring some friends and share. Drinks seem to be limited to the cooler in the picture so keep that in mind and the high chair could use a power wash so don't count on bringing a small child in to eat. All in all I'm glad I went and will plan to go back even with the 30 min drive.

Google
Delicious fried chicken, crispy & moist with out being greasy! The soy garlic was delightfully flavorful, call ahead or be prepare to wait, but the chicken is worth it, probably won't bother with the fried rice again...

Google
Really delicious chicken! You have to wait for it but they manage expectations well. Also huge portions—6 boneless strips and half size fried rice was easily enough for two hungry people

Google
Why is this place not known?????? It’s the beat Korean restaurant you could find in Ann Arbor. Drumsticks are really big, rice cake tastes like an actual rice cake.... Please visit this place so it doesn’t close.. I need this place in my college life.

Yelp
This is the BEST fried chicken in Ann Arbor! You MUST order online and there is only 1 person cooking and filling orders, so be patient. The chicken legs are huge and always super crunchy. We get chicken legs every few months and they are always consistently delicious. We also get the kimchi fries! Yum!

Yelp
Hidden gem! Probably some of the better fried chicken I've had (especially compared to chains like Wingstop which recently opened in Ann Arbor). We got the half & half 12 piece boneless strips and we had leftovers for like 4 days for 2 of us. Both flavors were very good so I'd recommend getting the half & half your first time so you can try both. The chicken stayed very crispy even after driving home after picking it up. One recommendation - if you like saucy chicken / fried chicken - definitely get the extra sauce! They weren't dry by any means, just not super saucy - and the sauce flavor was so good I wish there was more on it. Kimchi Fries were also so good. Even though it's covered in cheese and sauce, the fries were still super crispy. Bulgogi was a very tasty topper. ~Only~ downside is that you have to order so far in advance. I think we looked at the website around 4:30ish and the soonest pick up time was 6:45 PM. They are very upfront about the long wait times to prepare the chicken, so wasn't a bad experience just recommend planning for it if you want to try this place :).

Yelp
Drove in from out of town. I called ahead. They won't answer the phone for questions or food orders at all. It's hard to tell if it's open or not. Stools are on the tables, but I see this often these days to keep from having people waiting for carry out from sitting at all. The lights are on inside as well. I called again. No answer. I started the order online. Went to pay and it says it is either that their offline or closed. I can't tell. I saw a guy at the door for a brief second. He just turned the open sign, but the door is clearly still locked. He didn't see me standing outside at all. I could see he was in the kitchen. How annoying. Would update your VMs with a status of whether they are open or not. Guess another time. Wasted trip.

Yelp
One of the best korean fried chicken I've ever gotten. It is SOOO good. I recommend getting the combo. I got a the combo which came was 12 drumsticks and an assortment of wings / tenders (you get to pick). The sauce you can do regular or spicy or half & half. I did half & half. The spicy is quite strong so it's not for those who have a mild tolerance for spice. I really like the spicy because it's so flavorful. The chicken is SO juicy but so crispy on the outside. I am equally impressed every time I order from this place (very consistent quality). I also always get the kimchi fries - it's so decadent, plenty of fries, cheese, some sour cream, and topped with scallions. The chicken comes with pickled radish and corn so some nice side dishes to cut through the fat of fried chicken. The reason I'm giving this a 4 star is because the service could be better. I ordered ahead a couple days ahead for pickup but when I got there past my pickup time, there was no one at the register because they were all in the kitchen even once they noticed I was waiting. And then when I told them that I'm waiting for a pickup order that should've been ready, their response to me was that there's someone else before me who's waiting for their food so I had to wait an extra 10 minutes ON TOP of the fact that I arrived later for a pick up order that I place days ago. The food though is pretty great so you just gotta bear with the service.

Yelp
We used to love getting our fried chicken from here, but looks like it's under new management now (kimchi box) so the chicken is not as crispy and the glaze recipe is different. Sadly, don't think we will be returning due to this change.

Blanche K.

Yelp
these wings are HUGE and SO CRISPY!! the double fried wings truly shine with the crunch of each bite and the immense flavor. Classic korean fried chicken. The gochujang is spicy but addicting. Definitely need the pickled radish for a palette cleanser every few bites. The tacos and corn dog were a miss for me.

Yelp
I am surprised that this place is still here. Okay, the food is not too bad but the best Korean Fried Chicken? Come on, guys... this is mediocre at best. Service is terrible. This is from a person who values good food more than service - as long as food is good, I don't care about the service much. People who work here don't look like they care. Can you imagine if they care about the food they cook? I ordered the food and got there an hour later since it was quoted time. I waited another hour. Is there any update or any greetings? Nope. Was food so great that I can forget about it? Also nope. Please stop giving business to those people who don't care about you. By eating this place, you are reinforcing the bad behaiviour and bad business practice.

Isidro G.

Yelp
The food is okay but the service is awful and the restaurant is in terrible shape. The floors are dirty and oily, the walls are oily, and even the front door is oily. The empty coca-cola refrigerator in the front lobby also appears to have mold growing in it. When we walked in we were greeted by a very rude and simply over worked cook/cashier. Only one person working on a busy Friday night. I will not be eating here again and suggest anyone else looking at the restaurant to pass.

Yelp
Ann Arbor has a pretty decent Korean population so I'm surprised that there aren't more KFC (Korean Fried Chicken) spots around town. I think Seoul Street does the job for those in the area who are craving this kind of cuisine. The chicken is pretty good and pretty cheap for KFC. For $40 I got the XL combo (24 piece wings/legs and two corn sides) and kimchi fries. This is actually cheaper than a lot of KFC chains I frequent. My order could've easily fed about 5 people. The "kimchee" fries were about $6 but the portion size is huge and really easy to split with friends - there were a ton of toppings like kimchi, onions, cheese, and mayo. I pretty much felt like I got a good amount of food for what I paid. The fried chicken here is the star so I would definitely recommend ordering that - I'm not sure if I could say the same for some of the other menu items since I haven't heard people talk about anything other than the chicken. In fact, I've heard of pretty poor reviews for the other food here. Like at most KFC stores, there are two types of glaze options: spicy and soy garlic. I like getting half and half so I can try both. The spicy sauce was very mildly spicy and the soy garlic was pretty good (similar to what you might get in an average soy garlic glazed chicken). I liked the texture of the chicken skin but I thought it could've been crispier. However, my order endured a 20min car ride home so the steam inside the boxes might've affected the crispiness of my food. The service was meh. I ordered chicken to be picked up and the guy on the phone sounded a bit rushed/annoyed. At the store the workers still seemed a bit grumpy but they were really efficient. They told me it would take 45min to make the chicken but when I showed up in half an hour they quickly got my order done. Note: Seoul Street can be hard to find! Look for the Qdoba sign on the street. Seoul is in the same structure but behind the building - the entrance to Seoul faces the parking lot. I attached a picture of the outside to show what the front looks like.

Yelp
This is the best fried chicken I have ever had in my entire life! You can get them in soy garlic or spicy, you can't go wrong with either. Anytime I get Korean fried chicken from anywhere else I compare it to this place and nothing else compares to it. Bon Chon has nothing on this place. I occasionally get the Kimchi fries here and they are good as well. The only downsides to this place: - You have to order online. If you try and call he won't pick up. If you go there and try and order he won't take your order or will say it'll be 2 hours. - The chicken takes a while to make, around 45 minutes, but it's totally worth it. Just order ahead of time online and go pick it up. - He has weird hours, I think he's only open from 3pm-8pm. - his customer service isn't the greatest. Think of it like the soup Nazi, from Seinfeld. He's not going to be nice to you, but the chicken is super good, so it's worth it! Haha

Sharon L.

Yelp
This is a great place to get Korean fried chicken if you are a planner and are able to order in advance! The wings are very large and the garlic sauce is delicious. I like to order the garlic wings with the Kimchi fries+Bulgogi. I love their kimchi fries and the portions are very large. The only downfall for this place is that it takes a long time for the wings to be prepared so you may have to order hours in advance to be safe.

Joyce L.

Yelp
When you're craving something like korean fried chicken or even better kimchi fries... then try Seoul street! It is so so good and it is authentic korean sides and chicken ! It reminds of when I went to Korea and ate chicken every other week'! I do have to say the customer service can improve. As they should be more energetic and not hang up so quickly! It is just a friendly tip! I would recommend if you're of age try best with your chicken because it is a korean tradition to do so! This was my first time trying it and it was what people always say...it is amazing and worth the drive! I think they also deliver so for the central kids do not worry! I ate it after my dance culture show and it tasted sosososo good ! Tip: order an hour before so you can get the chicken... they do take a while to make it.

Paul W.

Yelp
I'll say this--Seoul Street is a great value. My wife and I got a 12 pc. box of boneless strips + a side of kimchi. Added a tip and still got out the door for under $20. Had plenty left for lunch the next day. Of course, cheap food is no bargain if you don't like it, but we were generally happy with what we got. The chicken strips were tender, and though the breading was a little soft when we ate it, that probably was unavoidable given the drive home of 10 minutes or so. The suckers were still hot though. And the "spicy hot" ones were just that. Not unpleasantly so, though I did need to give my tongue a rest between bites. The soy-garlic on the other hand were a little bland--didn't really notice garlic, but still good as a basic chicken strip. The kimchi was very good, if on the hot side. Definitely take advantage of the online ordering. You can choose your pickup time, and since most orders take 20-30 minutes to prepare, you can spare yourself a wait. I don't get fried chicken very often, but that may change.

Sagnik R.

Yelp
This place is very highly rated on Yelp for Korean fried chicken and I honestly don't understand. Maybe this was a bad day but the one we had was below average. The inside was not seasoned at all, the coat was greasy and had no texture. It's a sad day for Korean fried chicken when you feel Kentucky was a better option. Not coming back.

Rachel P.

Yelp
Tucked away into a strip mall, this place is my go to for Korean fried chicken. I have always split an order Kimchi fries and the soy garlic wings with a friend - perfect amount of food. Every time I've ordered over the years the quality and quantity of food has been consistent. This time around my friend and I grabbed takeout for a picnic. My only complaint is that whether you order ahead for pick-up or place your order to wait, staff isn't very friendly and seems annoyed taking/finding your order. I would highly recommend ordering ahead of time, otherwise you'll be waiting 35-45 minutes for your chicken to cook (which is mentioned on their website).

Stephen N.

Yelp
You're gonna have to call in and preorder. The place is understaffed, and if you're looking for any existence of customer service, you won't find it here. Actually wait, you can't even call because no one will pick up. You'd have to order online The chicken is decent, the only reason why they're still in business is because it's the only Korean fried chicken place in Ann Arbor. The best bang for your buck option here is the thigh, and their kimchi fries are just okay.. All the fries Ive had here are soggy.

Jessica K.

Yelp
God, I want to love this place so much, but it's such a pain to actually get your food from. The pros: - Best kimchi fries I've ever had. Like, seriously. The food of dreams. I have literally dreamt about how good these are. - Super crispy chicken. - Great prices. The cons: - An HOUR WAIT OR MORE FOR YOUR FOOD. No joke. I went in during a super slow time, and tried to order takeout, and was told I'd have to wait 60+ minutes. Other times I've called 30-40 mins in advance, arrived, and told my food still wouldn't be ready for another hour. It's ridiculous. - Difficult ordering process. Ordering online is your best bet, or stopping in IRL, running some errands and then coming back later.

Eric R.

Yelp
Wow! This place has possibly the best fried chicken in the world! I say "possibly" because there are probably some fried chicken places out there that I don't know about. But of the ones I do know about, this one is the best! Also, props to the owner. When I went there today, he was the only person working in the store, doing every job by himself like some kind of human Swiss Army Knife. He had a line of like a dozen orders printed out on the counter, and in what I can only describe as a dance of pure love for the art of fried chicken, passed from cooking one thing to another to serving customers with time to spare for the kind of playful banter that can only come from a gift of charisma that you can't learn--you have to be born with it. Give this place your business!

Abben H.

Yelp
Seoul street has some of the best Korean fried chicken. It is twice fried so it's super crispy and flavorful. They have soy garlic or spicy flavored chicken. You can also order an assortment of wings, strips, thighs or drumsticks. The prices here are also very affordable and reasonable. Similar to other people, the downside of this place is the wait and service. I always do takeout because the seating inside is a little cramped. I would recommend getting the thighs and drumsticks, but the strips are really thin and dry (not worth the convenience of being boneless). A always get the kimchi fries too!

Sindy W.

Yelp
MUCH LOVE FOR THEIR FOODS! But there a quite a few inconveniences that brings down the ratings: 1. Their service pretty much sucks - sometimes no one picks up the phone and they talk to you in a somewhat rude manner 2. If you order for pick up or order chicken in general, you want to give it an extra 45mins of wait time! So it's definitely not smart to dine in and expect to get your fried chicken soon! Good thing you can do the online preorder now so that you can time the pickup! 3. THEIR FRONT DOOR IS SO HEAVY!! OMG I STRUGGLE EVERY TIME IN AND OUT! PROS: 1. It's such a good options for larger groups! It's super cheap! 2. Food: [recommended] - korean style fried chicken: (soy garlic or hot & spicy are both excellent! The spicy one isn't too spicy but has a nice kick!) I prefer the thighs over the because the meat is just tastier and the pieces are bigger but I think in the combos you pay an extra $1. The boneless strips aren't great at all - kinda dry and sad, so always get the wings if you're choosing between the two in the combos! - kimchi fries: WOW this is really delicious! French fries with kimchi and a bunch of tasty sauce! MUST try! - I believe their korean tacos and kimchi fried rice are also super tasty!! But usually I just go for the first two recommended items!! Anyhow, please try this place! Their service isn't great and it's not the most convenient place to sit (kinda small inside) and dine in but the food and prices are great!

Rachel Y.

Yelp
As a big fan of Korean fried chicken, I had relatively high expectation and I am happy to say Seoul Street did not disappoint! The flavors were fantastic! If you want some Korean fried chicken, this is definitely one of the places to go in Ann Arbor!

Jeet D.

Yelp
Korean fried chicken joint in Ann Arbor. They have a 30 minute wait time after you make your order since they make the chicken fresh. Service: took about 15 minutes to get served even though it was empty, but the staff was nice - just busy. Parking: big free lot behind the restaurant that almost always had empty spaces. Ambience: small place (about 20ish seats) that usually has people going in and out. Doesn't really have the kind of vibe that I would want to sit and eat Food: the chicken is excellent. I got the 8 wings half soy garlic, half hot and spicy. The soy garlic was quite tangy and completely delicious. The hot and spicy was good, but next time I would get just soy garlic. The other Korean fried chicken place in town, Hola Seoul, has chicken of a similar quality, but the soy garlic here was the best I've had. Tips: call ahead about 30-45 minutes to place your order so you don't have to wait. Also don't plan on eating there, given that there's not too much space. Overall: I'm giving it 4 stars because it took a little longer than I would have liked to get served, but the food was excellent and a great meal.

Marin O.

Yelp
This restaurant is one of the best in Ann Arbor, definitely a Top 5 if not Top 3. The food is always of top notch quality, and I have never been disappointed with the food I get here. There are other reviews on here complaining about the customer service and friendliness of the owner, but I believe the owner is actually very thoughtful and kind with his actions, rather than sugarcoating everything with his words. One time he was running behind schedule a bit, and I waited an extra 10min more than my scheduled pickup time. Later when I sat down to eat, I noticed he had added an extra chicken to my order! He may be a man of few words, but his actions speak for themselves. The food also speaks for itself--this fried chicken is so crispy, saucy, and incredibly tender and juicy. The kimchi fries are also outstanding. The fries are crispy, the kimchi is crunchy, and if you add the bulgogi it adds the perfect amount of bonus umami flavor. This restaurant is 100% an Ann Arbor staple!!!

Nadia B.

Yelp
The location of this restaurant is not really visible from the street, so look in the strip mall where you see a Panera Bread. The owner here is rude and not very accommodating. I have been here twice to order the Korean fried chicken for dine-in and was told there were too many orders ahead of me, so I could not order any (not even one piece). I've had a lot of the other dishes which are okay, kimchi fries are pretty good. Place needs to be thoroughly cleaned.

Stephanie M.

Yelp
Seoul Street was one of my favorite food stops in Ann Arbor! I couldn't get enough of the kimchi fries (with bulgogi or spam) and the Korean fried chicken. Both were great pick me ups after a long day of studying! Whenever friends would visit me, this would always be a spot a dragged them too! While I loved the food here, I would recommend for people to order their food ahead of time. Also, be prepared to wait. I found the service to be understaffed/slow at times. Online ordering was always my go to, but there were a few occasions where there was a glitch in the system and I arrived to no order. Despite its flaws, I would recommend Seoul Street to anyone craving Korean fried chicken or kimchi fries. But do NOT come hangry, you WILL have to wait!!

Jodi Y.

Yelp
CHICKENWATCH2.0 Seoul Street has A1 fried chicken. My friend ordered take out from here so I never got to experience the bad service, long wait times, and uncleanliness of this place. Maybe that's why I think Seoul Street is so damn good. I've only eaten Korean fried chicken 1 other time & comparatively, Seoul street was way by better. I tried the sweet and spicy glaze on their chicken wings and drums. First of all, the chicken wings are really big! Like the size of my fist big. They fry the chicken on the spot so when you bite into the chicken you can feel the hot oil & juices gushing into your mouth. The sweet and spicy glaze isn't too hot so perfect for people who can't really take the heat. The only thing is that I wish Seoul Street is a little cheaper. If you order a 4 piece drum, it comes out to $2 a piece.. which i think is a bit expensive for college students living in AA. Also, this meal is pretty unhealthy... I'm guessing each chicken wing is 350+ calories. But honestly, that won't stop me from coming back

William W.

Yelp
I love Seoul Street, it's the most unique fried chicken I've ever had. Both the soy garlic and the spicy glaze are delicious, so getting your chicken 1/2 spicy and 1/2 garlic is recommended. I also highly recommend the fried rice, both the garlic and the kimchi are full of flavor. The Rabuki is something I first had here and it has really grown on me, so check it out too. All chicken orders take around 45 min and the store isn't the most comfortable place to eat, so I prefer to get carryout orders. So if you don't live In Ann Arbor, place an order, make the drive to town and take the meal to a park and have a feast

Zhao C.

Yelp
By FAR the best Korean Fried Chicken place you'll get in Ann Arbor! I come here whenever I need a dose of that Soy Garlic and Hot & Spicy, and each order comes with their delicious pickled radish. A personal combo costs around $10, and comes with 4 pieces of chicken (2 thighs / drums, 2 tenders / wings), so the price is very reasonable. The ONLY thing about this place is that the service time is horrific. Please don't ever order directly at the restaurant because you'll wait over an hour for your order - you need to place your order ahead of time online to make this experience worthwhile. They have some small seating inside, but majority of people order ahead, and then pick-up their order to take out. But even with their service time being so slow, the flavor and portions that this place offers is worth it! Their Kimchi fries are also phenomenal and I would recommend adding bulgogi for just a few more dollars. Definitely give this place a try!

Sean L.

Yelp
Owner seems like a complete jerk. We came in at 3:30 as it suggests on the website. The owner rudely told us we can wait til 5:30 for our food. Won't be coming here

Mark A.

Yelp
As you can guess by the name of the restaurant, Seoul Street this is a Korean restaurant. The actual restaurant is not much to look at, it is a small place that caters mostly to takeout but does have a small eating area. The important aspect however is the food. This is why the restaurant is so busy, the food is delicious and reasonably priced. You do have to wait a long time for it but I look at that as a positive thing , it shows that the food is freshly prepared and not just re-heated. The restaurant is located in a strip mall so there is free parking and they take all major credit cards and as said earlier you can either eat in or have it to go.

Anya R.

Yelp
I seriously don't get the low star rating - quality takes time and you just gotta plan ahead for it! I knew I would be meeting my friend there for lunch so I actually ordered hours ahead of time and set the pickup time for when we were planning to get there. Our order was hot and ready when we walked in :) We got the medium combo that came with 4 thighs and 4 wings. We did half and half on the glaze options. The meat was juicy and flavorful and were a good size. We also got the kimchee fries with bulgogi. This was ooey, gooey and a fantastic experience! All in all, no complaints. Good prices and we left stuffed and happy.

Suzanne S.

Yelp
Two words: Call ahead. I failed to heed this direction and was shut out on fried chicken when we arrived for a "quick" dinner before heading to a show at the nearby Arthur Miller Theater. It was a cold night and perfect for budae jigae. But I was told they weren't serving it right then. After two strikes, I opted for bibimbap with tofu and my dining companion ordered ginger fried rice with bulgogi. Both dishes were great and I would characterize the food as homestyle Korean. The bibimbap reminded me of food coming out of my aunt's kitchen more than something from a restaurant. That was refreshing. If you're looking for straightforward food and can roll with ordering snafus, Seoul Street is a great option. I'd love to come back and try the chicken.

Chantel M.

Yelp
Nice "fast" food option, but don't order the fried chicken if you are in a time crunch. The wings took 20 minutes to cook. While we waited for the wings, our kimchi fries and bulgogi tacos made their way out. Both were good, but the tacos had a more authentic Korean flavor than the kimchee fries. Then we waited... And waited... And we were still hungry, so we attempted to order kimchee + bulgogi kimbap, but were informed these are not made on weekends. Sad!! We settled on kimchee fried rice which was done BEFORE the chix.... Which took longer than 20 min. In fact it took double the initially estimated time. The kimchee fried rice was nothing to write home about, but the wings were well worth the wait. Huge. Juicy. These wings must be GMO they were soooo big. We did half spicy and half soy garlic. They were devoured in under 4 min flat! I've been dreaming of them ever since. Next time we will call ahead to order and show up late. Maybe then we will be pleasantly surprised and they'll be ready. :) I recommend the outdoor seating or takeout only because the inside is small and doesn't feel very clean. The staff is laid back. Almost to a fault. The dress code consisted of sweatpants and tshirts. Wish management would take care of these small issues because the food is really good!

Yelp
I've eaten in once before to my delight but a few days ago my fella and I decided to do a takeout order and it was also fantastic. As someone who has a bit of a phone phobia (seriously, I hate using the phone) the fact that this place has online ordering is awesome. You can also prepay so picking up is a breeze. Ordering ahead of time helps since the fried chicken does take a bit of extra time to prepare. That way you're not sitting around waiting for a half hour doing nothing. You can go about your business, pick up when it's ready and either eat in or take it home. We opted for the latter and everything held up perfectly. The rundown: The chicken (with the soy garlic glaze) was incredibly crunch and juicy. Some of the best fried chicken I've ever had for sure. I love the drumsticks, my boyfriend wanted the strips. Both were awesome (although the strips are fairly small, FYI, the drumsticks? HUGE). The soy garlic fried rice with bulgogi (steak). Excellent. Huge serving for a large sized order. I added scrambled eggs and it's awesome. Veggie mandoo--like little Korean empanadas or wontons. Stuffed with sweet potato noodles, cabbage, green onions, onions, and tofu. SO great. Deluxe fries - parmesan cheese, oregano, and the chef's special seasoning. These are the bomb dot com. For real. And they hold up remarkably well as take out. They were still hot and crunchy by the time we got home. Takeout took a little longer than they told us (I had to wait about 5 minutes after already getting there 5 minutes after my pick up time) but it wasn't a big deal. The price is also fab. All that food (easily 2-3 meals worth for 2 people) was only $30 total and most everything holds up pretty well as leftovers. The fried rice in particular is very good later. I actually prefer to eat it cold! Yep. I think this place is definitely going to end up on our regular take out rotation!

Yelp
I have tried their kimchi fries as well as their fried chicken and I have to say the fried chicken is truly meets the hype!! It is so crisp on the outside, savory in flavorful glaze, and tender inside. I wouldn't say the chicken is juicy, per de, but it is certainly tender and delicious! Great value too. The kimchi fries were also really good but not special. Regular steak cut fries with spicy mayo, chopped kimchi, and green onion sprinkled atop.

Yelp
Korean chicken from here is extremely great. Very similar to what you could get in Korea. However, it was just a service that I was disappointed with - I went into the store for pick up, and the owner did not say a word to me, not even thank you. I would visit there again just because the food is great, but if you don't want to experience the worst service, I will not recommend this place.

Yelp
What I got: 8 of their hot and spicy wings and kimchee fries The chicken wings are ginormous, so when you're paying a bit more for chicken wings, the quantity is reflective of the price. A big appetite person as myself successfully consumed 5 wings and half the kimchee fries before giving up for the night. The meat itself is a bit bland when you get behind the crispy golden exterior, perhaps a long brine or seasoning process would do them some good. But, the fried exterior with the slightly sweet, acidic, pleasantly spicy sauce is quite splendid. The fries are tasty if you LOVE onions. If I were to breakdown what is atop the fries, it would be 40% onions (raw white and green), 35% sauce (white and a spicy mayo or yum yum type), 25% kimchee. I am an onion lover but even for me, the raw white onions were a bit too much. If they were chopped more finely, or balanced with more kimchee, I believe the fries would be more tasty. Nice job on the fries themselves though- crispy holding up decently to the lathered sauces. Be sure to always order at least an hour before you want to have it either in house or take out, they get backed up quickly! If I could give 3.5 stars that would describe my experience best. All in all, a decent late night food.

Yelp
Definitely one of the best Fried Chicken I had in Ann Arbor; however, I definitely had to wait the longest I've ever had at a restaurant. The food without a doubt is amazing. Their Korean Fried Chicken is super crispy and the right amount of saltiness. The kimchi fries are pretty good too! However, they get soggy really quick so don't order a lot of chicken with it. Order the kimchi fries later so they aren't as soggy. The Ra-Bok-ki is pretty good too. Definitely the best and most authentic Ra-Bok-Ki in Ann Arbor. The price is pretty good too. Considering how good the chicken is, definitely worth the money. Also, I would like to especially commend them for having pickled radish on the side. Pickled radish is a must when you eat KFC(Korean Friend Chicken). If you want to eat KFC the "right" way, get the pickled radish on the side. Now for the cons. Like what most people said, the wait and service is pretty bad. It takes at least an hour to get your chicken. So don't plan on sitting down because you are going to wait forever for the food. This is why I always get takeout because you can do something else while you an hour for the food. The service is pretty bad too. The workers don't care about their customers. They are rude and sounds annoyed. If it wasn't for these complaints, I would have gave this place a 4 or possibly a 5 star. It is still worth trying out! Just remember to get takeout and don't sit down. Tip: The front door is really heavy so good luck getting in and out.

Yelp
Their fries are delicious! Their sauces for the KFC chicken is good but not great. It does take a long time to get your food since they have many other orders and it's fresh. Best bulgogi/kimchi fries I've had so far. I only had kimchi fries and KFC from one other place. The staff was friendly though.

Yelp
If you're on North Campus and you're craving Korean fried chicken, definitely come here! The kimchi fries are pretty good but because I got the food delivered, it was not as crunchy as I imagined them to be. Between the soy garlic and spicy wings, I'd say the soy garlic is better. The chicken pieces are battered nicely, not too thick or thin. The corn salad and radish that comes with the food are great and really compliments the overall experience. I would not get it again only because it is too far and delivery can take a while. But it's worth a try if you've never eaten here!

Yelp
One of the best Korean fried chicken ever. Their chicken is crispy and has a nice breading that isn't thick and over powering. The breading was light enough that it still gave it a nice crunch and held the sauce well. Their sauce is spicy with a nice kick, and a hint of sweetness. The pickled radish helped cool the mouth too. The wait is long, so make sure you order an hour ahead of time before you eat. I'm no longer living in AA and I truly miss this place!!

Yelp
I have complicated emotion with seoul street. I like their food and absolutely their hot glazed fried chicken. I suggest go with smaller pieces such as wings and tenders. They do not season the meat in side so if you ordered thighs, there is not going to have much flavor inside. But the outside is definitely crunchy and tasty. I like the half sized fried rice, come with fried egg as well. They might have bad reputation of being so slow and bad customer service..... They do not picked up their phone that much. I suggest go to their website and order. It is so detailed and specific of everything how you might wanted it. Also they are so specific about the pick up time. If it's 5:05, the food is not gonna get ready at 5:00 I guess I will have to live with it. May try their rice cake next time. It is not on the menu today.

Yelp
Well don't mistake it for a Korean restaurant because that it's not. That doesn't mean it's not good it just means it's not a Korean restaurant. This restaurant serves things like kimchi fries bulgogi tacos and things of that nature it's more of a fusion between American Mexican and Korean... unfortunately I was looking for a Korean restaurant but it was good... kimchi fries were good...the Bulgogi tacos were good. The fries were not good for kids a little too spicy but for a college town and someone looking for something a little different it's good.

Yelp
The best fried chicken. Korean fried chicken is a bit different .. double fried I believe for ultimate crispiness. I always get the spicy sauce. Sometimes it's wayyy too spicy but it's amazing ! I haven't tried much else from their menu. I also really like the kimchi jun (pancakes) and sometimes I'll get kimchi fried rice. My go to chicken place. Be sure to call 30 mins ahead in time because everything is made fresh. I wish they were closer to my APT and delivered to me O_O

Yelp
Great food. Long wait times. Order website doesn't work well on mobile devices. Most importantly - rude staff. I'm sorry, but the last point destroys any desire to eat there. Called with a very simple question after being unable to place an online order. In response got a bunch of attitude from a guy who wasn't interested at all in answering it. Being able to cook well doesn't give one license to be an ass. There are plenty of other Korean joints in town. Time to give them a try.

Yelp
Must consume in person to enjoy the crunch! Best fried chicken batter and flavor I've had in my life. Pollo Chaplin in Mexican Town is now in the #2 spot as Seoul Street has uncrowned them. Pollo is still great for a no glaze option. Kimchi Fries: The fries used or cooking method looks to have changed from other photos. These are indescribably incredible. Adding the bulgogi was a smart move. Wowzor. The kimchi, plus onions, spicy mayo, crunchy fries, and caramelized bulgogi was a flavor and texture combination that everyone must try once. The Chicken: Must consume in person to enjoy the crunch! Soy came out just head of spicy as a favorite at the table, but both are excellent and I'll probably always get half and half. I like the thighs most of all, they had the best crunch to the batter, and the sauce really got in all the nooks and crannies you get with batter on a thigh vs a drum or wing. Kimchijeon (or jun): Korean pancake made with kimchi was good, nice spice but not a wow item. Good side with a couple pieces if not doing the fires. The Radish: The pickled radish side is incredible here. Favored over the corn.

Yelp
I love this place!!! Kimchi fries are a must, but only if you have company to share it with! I used to like the mixed variety, but have found my tastes leaning away from spicy food. The soy-garlic flavor, however, still perfectly suits my tastes. Even though I'm out of state now, I make a point to come here every time I am in town!

Yelp
After having a bad experience with the owner. I kept reading the reviews and they are like "the owner sucks but the chicken is great" so I'm like. Alright let me gut this out. I'm a clown...... and everyone that says this is the "the best fried chicken" are clowns too. Clearly none of these people have had fried chicken east of Carpenter road. The chicken is cooked low and slow which means it absorbs a ton of the grease it's cooked in. Which may also explain the wait time (I ordered at 5:00pm it was ready at 7:30). The first bite was the equivalent to drinking vegetable oil. The hot and spicy glaze made it tolerable but I couldn't imagine what the plain taste like. The Chicken isn't seasoned and the random pick up times may lead to getting your chicken late and it drys out quickly. The heavy grease is hell on your stomach. I'm sad I listened to yelp reviews on fried chicken. I should've known better. I hate myself for what I experienced with this chicken. On top of that it's super expensive. So I played myself twice. Also the wings aren't wings. They are wing dings not whole wings.
