Nut allergy friendly: They have no guarantee on sauces ("May contain nuts") but don't use any nuts directly in anything!
Located in the back right of the Conservatory food hall, this food truck-turned-brick and mortar spot has been mentioned as one of the best Korean fried chicken spots in Houston. After finally making it here, I would say it is a fair contender for the title!
We took 20 wings to go and ordered half of them fried "hard". Unfortunately, I didn't notice much of a difference as the sauces still meant that they did not travel well. I would highly recommend that they (or you) poke holes in the boxes to release steam, as this helps maintain the crispiness of the chicken if you're travelling over 15 minutes. Alternatively, get sauce on the side.
For the wings themselves:
Lemon Pepper: Universally our favorite wing. It travels the best since there's no sauce and remained crispy after 30 minutes. The flavors really come through.
Honey Butter: Second favorite wing. Very unique! Reminds me of the honey butter Chicken biscuit a little bit, and there's honey dripping off each piece.
K-Sauce: My third favorite. It had a bit of a kick, almost like a gochujang flavor but not as intense.
Soy Garlic: My friends' third favorite. I thought the flavors were a little muted here, but they were good. I think I'd rate these more highly if I had them when they were still crispier.
Furikake Rice: Nothing crazy, portions easily enough for two.
Corn Cheese: Also nothing crazy, one order fed three. Would highly recommend adding something like fried onion or garlic.
Overall, a solid wing spot that I would definitely return to.
