I am honestly shocked by how rude and unprofessional the staff was. I understand that tourist seasons can be exhausting, but the level of disrespect and indifference I experienced is simply unacceptable. I was at the checkout with approximately $500 worth of purchases, and I was met with no smile, no basic courtesy, nothing not even the minimal politeness you would expect in a customer-facing role. No greeting, half-muttered responses, eyes constantly looking down, and an overall attitude that made it very clear I was a nuisance rather than a customer.
What makes this even more absurd is that I usually leave sephora with at least one sample, even when buying far fewer items. This time, despite a substantial purchase, not a single sample was offered — not even one. It perfectly reflects the lack of care and basic commercial sense displayed throughout the interaction.
The cashier ( the one wearing heavy makeup with clearly over-lined lips) was particularly unpleasant. She kept whispering to her colleague while I was standing right there, which is incredibly unprofessional and disrespectful. Whether it was about me or not, the behavior alone speaks volumes. I have never experienced anything like this. If dealing with customers is such a burden, perhaps this is not the right job. Basic manners cost nothing, yet here they were completely absent. Absolutely disappointing.
