September.

"You only have to venture across the threshold of September to appreciate the easy-going atmosphere. A stripped-back, minimalist vibe depicts the spacious interior, dotted with plants. It’s as if nature has merged with inner city Antwerp. Every detail of this establishment has been puzzled over and preened from the respect of the produce and attention to the seasons down to the ‘farm to fork’ concept. Veggies are the stars of the show, sometimes served with meat or fish. Ann Van der Auwera’s inventive and expressive cuisine is rich in character and occasionally sprinkled with the odd Italian accent. Rich in summertime flavours all year round." - Michelin Inspector

September is Michelin recommended for good reason. Every dish on the set menu was phenomenal. The wine pairings were on point and the server was kind and knowledgeable. They also have a vegetarian set menu but we chose meat and fish. Fresh, unique ingredients were beautifully presented. We had the sweet dessert and it was perfection. We left with full, happy tummies. Highly recommend.

Sunday night dinner at this cute little restaurant and it was absolutely delicious! Choice of two different set menus; one with fish and one fully vegetarian (we had the vegetarian). Optional to have it with wine (and saké) pairing. All tasty dishes were with fresh and seasonal produce; their oyster mushrooms even grown in their basement! Our waiter was very kind and really went out of his way to make it a great experience.

September. is located in the center of Antwerp and impresses with its "farm to table" concept and fresh seasonal cuisine with creative compositions. The service team is friendly and courteous and always on hand with recommendations. All in all, a successful evening in a cozy, informal atmosphere and with great-tasting creations.

Truly a disappointing experience. Each plate took an average of 30 minutes, some even over 50 minutes. We spent 2h45 in total of which 30 maximum actually dining. The portion size was ridiculously small (a starter was literally 1 asparagus and a half) and some cooked dishes arrived cold. On top of that an automatic gratuity of 12% and the two aperitif drinks that were offered seemingly part of the set dinner were added to the bill. Whilst the food did taste nice the price is exorbitant for what is served.

Inventive tasting menu with delicious non-alcoholic or cocktail/wine drink pairing. Was lucky enough to be able to walk-in even though their website said reservations were full.

New owners and it is not what it used to be. Basic cheap ingredients and poor decoration. The flatbread was the same sourdough served with the amuse, and the zucchini spread tasted like something from a basic grocery store. The bread was too tough to cut through, and the presentation was simply a thick slice of bread with spread on top. The ravioli lacked any decoration, served on a beige plate with a beige sauce, making for an uninspiring presentation. The vegetarian main course consisted of half a witloof, drowned in a sauce that tasted identical to what we had earlier. The waiter, a student from an art school wearing a light blue cap, had no experience and it showed in the service. The dessert was supposed to include chocolate, according to the menu, but there was none to be seen or tasted. Overall, the restaurant is overpriced, and the service falls well below expectations for this level of dining.

Everything was tasty but unfortunately waiting time in between dishes was really & really long! It took more than 3 hours to have 5 dishes. Most pointless thing was waiting for the menu about 15 minutes. Kitchen service time should be improved otherwise only good food cannot make this restaurant survive.

We had a delicious experience. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we asked for vegetarian options. I would go back soon.

Yelp
Had cappuccino and lunch at September. They didn't have any English menu but the staff was friendly enough to help me roughly translate the lunch menu located inside. It seems like the menu changes quite often which I find intriguing.... I had a salad with something like babaganuosh (aubergine goo goodness). Everything tastes very fresh and well put together, my guess is that the raw ingredients are of great quality. The coffee was also better then usual! Also a plus point for not being in the touristy area... If you ever get tired of eating oily frituur food in Antwerpen then maybe September could be a great break for you.
