My friend wanted to go this wine bar since it got a brief mention from the NYTimes. We came after dinner on a Sunday night. It was very dark and there was no one else there. I was wondering if it was even open. However, there was a delicious aroma of fresh baked bread, which was a little strange considering it was night time.
The owner was a very nice guy, and very conversational too. He mentioned that he usually had more customers, but there was a food festival that night.
After we were seated, we decided to try a tasting of 3 different pours, and each pour was quite generous. It was actually a nice atmosphere, except for the slightly creepy, pitch dark staircase to the bathroom upstairs.
