Serafina West 105 (UWS)

I had the best experience giving a private lunch party at Serafina 105th St. for 50 people. We held it in the lovely private room and thankfully the summer weather permitted it to extend to a few tables outside on the patio adjacent to the private room, which has its own entrance. Everyone who attended, said it was perfect! The manager, Vicente was so helpful at every step, from planning the buffet menu, seating arrangements, sound system for my music playlist, to a video screening on the giant TV. The whole staff was very friendly and attentive as well. They all added to the happiness of the occasion. The food was delicious, pasta primavera, rigatoni bolognese (my favorite pasta), lemon chicken ( moist, flavorful & addicting), and more. Fabulous appetizers- especially the calamari, which were huge and tender, and several more. There were specialty drinks and wine. Finally creamy Italian desserts shared by the table. The room is very nice with a long banquet along one wall, and big doors separating it from the main dining room, which is pretty with very high ceilings and a Love sign. Everyone loved the party through out the generations, everyone made us feel at home. I highly recommend Serafina 105!

Always liked Serafina but I think they’re doing better now. Service was fast and food was delicious!! Burrata was so good! Braised beef with mashed potatoes and vegetables was Sooo delicious. Chicken and the salads were also great !! Perfect meal for a rainy day.

The service was excellent - friendly and attentive staff throughout the meal. Unfortunately, the pizzas were disappointing, lacking in flavor and texture. On a positive note, the salads were fresh and well-prepared, offering a nice balance to the meal.

Amazing! Loved it. Our host Gabriel was very attentive and nice. Didnt feel rushed at all. I loved my ravioli. It was so good I ordered another one! The tiramisu and the chocolate sensation were amazing. My mom and aunt ordered the salmon and they really enjoyed it. Lovely ambiance. Will definitely return!

Great experience, Friendly Wait staff, surprisingly was able to easily make a reservation for 7 on a Saturday. The brunch menu had delicious options, food was very fresh and good. Not too noisy, pretty restaurant, nice for pics, almost the entire restaurant sang Happy Birthday to my daughters and the desserts were delicious, I tasted the molten chocolate lava cake fresh and good. I will definately eat there again. My entire group was pleased.

I had higher expectations for food but it ok. The ravioli seemed undercooked on the edges, and the taste was so-so. My daughter enjoyed her pasta arrabbiata and fries. The place was nice, clean, and well-lit. The staff was friendly and helpful. My only comment was that a supervisor was "scolding" our receptionist when we entered and seemed to keep at it randomly even by the time we left. It felt unprofessional since she could have done it at a more private location or the back, or even after closing. I felt terrible for the staff since she seemed nice and helpful when I asked for things.

came to sit at the bar and was pleasantly surprised that serafina, a place I would regularly regard as a sit down restaurant, had a back bar with amazing the decorum and atmosphere. Eric our bartender was super charming and charismatic and makes one hell of a martini. was able to eat at the bar and watch the game, adding much more joy to my dining experience as well as amazing banter with the barkeep!

What a lovely dinner experience! Carlos, our attentive waiter donned smile and gave us wonderful drink recommendations! He even customized a delicious hot toddy for me that tasted so good, it was hard to resist another. Thank you for giving us a great experience!

Got to eat at Serafina before seeing a show in the city this weekend and it did not disappoint! Their pastas and pizzas are all made in house and their desserts are so fresh (the gelato is so so good) The staff was exceptionally great, as we were gifted our desserts for free after a little spill. I highly reccomend checking them out!

We had lunch this most recent July 4th. It was pretty empty. We sat in the nicely-shaded outside space. The kids' menu has a lot of pasta options, and the little penne is very cute. The kid margarita pizza is huge and could be easily split. I really enjoyed my Brussels salad. It was perfectly dressed and had great texture. My partner's wagyu burger was excellent. The fries were just right. The champagne cocktail was refreshing. Pricey, of course, but very solid.

I was impressed by the quality of the vegan spaghetti squash. I could taste the distinctive flavors of the pine nuts. The ribbon-cut veggies were nicely al dente. The tomato sauce was gentle and not overwhelming. The crème brûlée was good if not great, hitting the mildly sweet dessert spot. As someone from the Detroit, Michigan area, I wish we had Serafina there.

OK I see you Serafina. Was pleasantly surprised at how good the food was when we dropped in for a Saturday morning/afternoon brunch. Our family met up with 2 other friends on a super nice Saturday and the restaurant was very quiet when we arrived. Throughout our meal there were probably only 2-4 tables occupied. Maybe uptown restaurants get a lot more business during the evening? During brunch hours, customers can order from the regular menu or brunch menu. After reviewing both menus, the regular menu definitely intrigued us a lot more. The brunch menu was very typical of brunch menus and we just felt we could have ordered those dishes anywhere. Here's what I had a chance to try that our table ordered/shared: RISOTTO PORCINI Carnaroli rice with porcini mushrooms - OK, this dish alone would convince me to come back! This was the entree I ordered and boy was I glad I made the choice. At first, I was a bit hesitant to get this as I know some restaurants can royally screw up risotto, but Serafina does it justice and some more. In all honesty, this might have been one of the BEST risotto dishes I ever had - definitely one of the best in my recent memory. It was that damn good! It was perfectly cooked, not too soggy or dry. Major props to the chef who churned this bad boy out. LEMON RICOTTA PANCAKES served with blueberry compote, butter and maple syrup - The risotto already had me at 1st bite, but, my goodness, these lemon ricotta pancakes were something else. I thought the risotto was amazing until I tried these pancakes. Rarely does any food knock my socks off these days and these pancakes really blew me away. I thought I had tried some of the best pancakes in the world already at places like Clinton Street Baking Company or Cafe Luluc in Brooklyn, but, major major kudos Serafina on producing some of the finest (if not the finest) pancakes my tastebuds had ever touched. Not only was the tart, yet not too sweet flavor amazing, but the soft, fluffy texture of the pancakes highlighted by the ricotta was really something. If you ever come here for brunch, GET IT. STEAK & EGGS eggs any style served with grilled skirt steak & French fries - Steak & eggs is what it is, but the skirt steak was very, very, very, very good. Perfectly cooked at medium temp and super tender and juicy. Once again, one of the best skirt steaks I've had in a very long time. They hit this one right on the nail. MARGHERITA PIZZA - So they had to come back to Earth at some point. I didn't really get to try the pizza until it got all cold, but it was OK. Honestly, this is not a fair assessment because it did look really good when it came out, but I never had a chance to try it when it was piping hot. This was as casual and quiet of an experience we could have at a restaurant and my expectations were quite tempered, but, boy were they exceeded. Serafina just totally turned any notion I had of it inside out and upside down for the better. The risotto, pancakes and steak & eggs were major slam dunks and there aren't many restaurants I would return to a 2nd or 3rd time because of all of the different restaurants at our disposal in NYC, but Serafina would WITHOUT A QUESTION be one of them I would go back to in a heartbeat.

OMG the food is AMAZING! Serafina is a NY chain restaurant and you know we don't like chain restaurants here but Serafina continues to be a reliable one. The Tartufo is my absolute favorite- so good we forgot to photograph the dish. It will be the reason I return! Caesar salad- delish! Chicken parm- delish! Alla Vodka pizza- delish! Everything was delish! The cocktails are good but could be stronger. The staff was kind enough to seat us around 9:15pm when they were closing at 10pm. Love the ambiance of this location. Intimate and comfortable to dine. Thank you:)

We were spending a couple of night at the Frederick Hotel and were given 2 free drink tickets upon arrival. After a show on Broadway Friday evening, we made it back in time to use those tickets before heading out the next morning. We both went with espresso martinis (one made with tequila) and we decided to try the chef special appetizer (and so happy we did because it was delicious!!!) Charred octopus over house made burrata -- an absolute must! Service was very attentive and overall great and we sat on the enclosed patio which had great outdoor, pretty vibe. A great ending to our NYC trip.

Apparently isn't a "real" Serafina and does not take Serafina gift cards. The only location it applies to per management. Just FYI before you eat average food you wouldn't normally eat unless it was free

I'm was so happy to be invited to a dinner meeting First the greeting by the staff coming in to the dining area The aroma of the special sauces,the selection of appetizers and the special menu of entrees, my waitress and the General manager gave a 5 Star treatment, the pizza was divine so delicious. The decor was very amazing with the large photos of famous people who had eaten there very impressive and beautifully decorated the music and synergies made for my new go to place for special occasions.. You cannot skip the desserts and the expresso

Had a lovely dinner here with family. We shared our apps, which were all good. My favorites of the apps were the Crostini di Sofia, which had prosciutto and mozz, and the Meatballs, which were super soft and tender, YUM!! For my entree, I ordered the Grilled Salmon, which paired perfectly with the sauce drizzled on the plate and crispy potatoes. Lastly we got a variety of their sweet desserts, the BEST one being the Panna Cotta, in my opinion. The Cheesecake was also yummy. The service was very attentive. Hot coffee was accidentally spilled on someone in my party, but the servers quickly resolved the situation by providing additional dessert for them to take back. Overall, a great, comfortable spot for an intimate dinner or a large party!

While staying at the Fredericks hotel I came down to this restaurant quite often. The atmosphere is very nice and warming. I actually went to this restaurant every night for dinner while I was there one night I even ate outside and surprisingly it was very warm in the outside area. The hostess and waiter were very nice and accommodated me very well while I was there. The first night I had the red snapper which was OK. It was good but the vegetables that came along with It was the best part actually they were sautéed to perfection. The second night I had the pizza which was very good. The crust was very fresh and amazing. And then the last night I was craving a burger so I had that and the truffle fries. The burger was wonderful, but the truffle fries were OK. I've had better from other places, but still good. All and all this restaurant is a great pick if you're looking for something quick to eat with a great atmosphere.

What a perfect meal for our last night in New York. We made a reservation for 8:30 online which was an easy process. The inside was beautiful and felt like a relaxed vibe. Our waiter, Junior, was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu. We started off with calamari and bruschetta which was a smart move. The calamari tasted fresh and was a treat to share among the four of us. My daughter and I split the lobster ravioli with a side of brussel sprouts. Both were full of flavor, the lobster ravioli was heart shaped which was a cute touch. We also has espresso martinis which were too good. Such a fun night, lots to see in the restaurant, and excellent service. I hope we get to go back again on our next trip to NY.

I went onto the Searafina website, placed my order directly. then picked it up in person only to be billed a Doordash fee. They had absolutely no involvement, yet they billed me their fee. Rectifying this on Doordash website is impossible. Their website is set up to send customers in circles with the hope we give up. Searfina, get rid of these people. They reflect badly on you. I don't plan to order again. The food isn't exactly outstanding either.

We live on the Upper Westside and Serafina 105 has become our favorite restaurant. The food and service are consistently excellent. My wife and I especially enjoy sitting at the bar enjoying drinks, appetizers, dinner, and dessert. Dalton, an exceptional bartender, always makes our experience exceed expectations. He's knowledgeable about the menu, provides helpful recommendations on cocktails, and makes us feel welcome. He's an asset to the Serafina brand.

Came for a birthday dinner and had a good time for a pre night out meal. We shared a few appetizers across the table which included a salad and calamari. Both were pretty standard but the portion size made it easy for sharing. For the entree I opted for the spaghetti alle vongole which came with a very fresh clam white wine sauce. The clam flavor was just what I was looking for, I just wish there was a bit more of an even coating on the spaghetti. Some noodles I had were quite dry, while others were bursting with flavor. I paired my dish with an aperol which was to my liking. Overall, not a bad dinner and would recommend this place if you're looking to accommodate for big groups.

The food and prices are acceptable. Service good. Nothing too daring on the menu. Rather bland. BUT, my reason for two stars is not based on the food, but the check. The check arrives quite clearly marked that a 20 percent gratuity is on the bill. However, there are two more places on the receipt to add even more. One is headlined "Add a tip" and the other is"Suggested tip." When settling up and preparing to leave, it is easy to not scan the bill and just add the tip. With Serafina's suggest tip one's gratuity could add 45 percent to the final bill.

Very cozy and nice. Long wait for service and both nights a waiter with shoes that click was distracting, but otherwise the seafood specials were outstanding.

Upscale Italian establishment in the Upper West Side. Perfect for a fancy date or outings with loved ones. Food was delicious but I personally do not feel the prices matched the portion, but that could be due to my bigger craving for pasta Went during a very busy, peak time and our server was swapped out with another available tending each time we asked for more water. In addition, several areas in the back were not open (maybe not enough customers) and we were seated in a densely populated, tight space. After we finished eating, we were unable to linger a bit to chat - the table was needed for other customers, which is understandable but disappointing the other empty, set tables were underutilized.

Very disappointed in this order. I have no problems paying $27 for Rigatoni Vodka with chicken if I get the proper portion. The small take out container half filled definitly did not meet expectations. Also, and im not just saying this the but sauce wasnt very tasty and the little bit of chicken I got was over cooked. No side salad or anything. One small piece of bread, the bread was actually the best part of the whole meal. The picture is after I took a little out of the container, but not much. Very disapointed, not likely to order again, or recommend.

I went here on Tuesday for dinner and I sat at the bar. The bartender, Dalton, was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. I had their white pizza (which was really good and has a thin crust.. which I love) and a vodka cranberry (which was also good). It was not particularly busy but then again it was around 5:00 pm on a Tuesday night. I will definitely be coming back again in the future.

All over the above ! The food was cold. After I ordered the pasta they didn't bring my bread. Usually they give that to you in the beginning with water! So after I ordered bread for the table and pasta which was half way done. The server gets bread from a side room where they throw dirty towels in a hamper. And right next to that the server got my bread. It was cold and dirty like it was used bread. Also the pasta was cold and it came way too fast after ordering like it was sitting there for ever

I love going here for brunch. I typically get the Lemon ricotta pancakes; they're very good. Reasonably priced as well.

I'm going into this review offering some grace because I've never run a restaurant. Before I even ordered a thing, a woman waltzed through the dining room to the bar and berated the bartender for adjusting the volume on the sound system. It was disgusting, offensive, and wholly unprofessional. I feel shame for not walking out; also, I was starving. The bread was not impressive, but the olive oil and Parmesan gave. I had a pomegranate Galvanina that was out of this world! The shrimp farfalle also did not disappoint. 5 stars for the food and service; 0 stars for the lady with the trash personality. Why are they playing gym music so loudly anyway?!?

We visited the 105th St location and is was fantastic! Food and service was excellent. Anita was our server and she was great. Perfect atmosphere and meal!

My husband and I went to Serafina for the first time, after seeing a play. Serafina's did not disappoint. The interior style is trendy yet warm and inviting. The entire staff was super accommodating and lovely. The food was very good. We started with the lightly fried artichoke and burrata appetizer and it was cooked perfectly-I only wished there were 4 artichokes as opposed to 2. For our entrees, my husband got the chicken parmigiana and for myself, the carbonara. The chicken parm doesn't come with pasta, but you honestly don't need it. My husband is a self proclaimed chicken parm connoisseur and he said it was one of the best dishes he's had. He also loved the sauce, which can be a hit or miss at some restaurants. My carbonara was cooked al dente and the sauce was as authentic as you could get. For dessert, we shared the Seven Layer Sensation which is a chocolate/ hazelnut torte/cake and it was heavenly. Not too rich, but not too dull either. The gelato paired with it was probably the best vanilla gelato I had ever had. So happy we decided to walk in on a whim.

Uuugh so good, the service was really good, kept bringing us water ahaha. But the food was SOOOOO GOOD, probably best eggplant parm I've had, and omfg the shrimp pasta?? Literally nut ugh so good I could have it for the rest of my life and not get sick of it the sauce was so freaking good I need the recipe rn. Only downside is it is a bit pricey but good for a fancy night out or date night, 9/10 recommend

Just such a classic Italian spot! Always get the Penne Alla Vodka and it is super delicious! The Nutella Focaccia is AMAZING!

We stopped here for a drink and a bathroom break after a day of bike riding. Great staff. They gave us a take outside so we could watch our bikes. We had a few really good drinks. We talked to the waiter who was very nice. The food looked amazing but we had reservations some where else and didn't want to spoil our appetite. We also had front row seats to the 10000 bicycle rally/ protest/ takeover. I don't really know what it's called but I read that this happens all the time in NYC. We almost joined in just to say we did that. We will be back. Thanks

Went at 6pm and the whole restaurant was empty, such a red flag. We stuck it out and got 2 pastas to share. Our food was so bland & not seasoned. Very disappointed so we sent one pasta back. The service was fine, we tipped 25% as we know it's not the server's fault but was just really unimpressed.

Great pizza ! We really liked the pizza here although they offered a lot more. The pizza was in a wood fires grill. Nice. Lots of sports on if you are in to that. The margarita pizza was especially good. Pretty quick too because we were on the clock. We would come here again.

The café offers to its customers the most suitable choice among elite coffee blends, mostly of Italian origin, and a set of traditional Italian pastries, capable of transmitting the flavors of the most seductive Italian culinary culture. Meanwhile, modern-meets-rustic at best, with the warm lighting and plush seating, one is invited to linger over plates and glasses. Waitstaff are friendly and knowledgeable, making recommendations among their personal favorites or explaining the dish's origins. Very inviting atmosphere. The café also offers light meals such as fresh-paninis and salad preparations, all from the freshest of natural ingredients, on top of coffee and pastry. The café surely has to offer something for delight, either it be plunging into the day with a 'forte' espresso or lounging over a long lunch--sometimes people just need to indulge in something 'dolce.'

Gotta hand it to Serafina. We dined in utter tranquility in their outside cabana. No loud music, hysterical laughter or shouting, which can destroy a meal in certain places. Service was impeccable. Went for a personal event which the staff handled beautifully, 2 of whom warbled the whole of Happy Birthday. Had great versions of pasta alla vongole, house special ravioli, mushroom risotto and Caesar salad. Not fancy but nice and homey cucina like mama made. Our waitress produced a nice vin santo, a lively vino, as the finale to a perfect dinner.i

I've been to a lot of italian Restaurants and the food here was so good. The waiters were super nice also and with te AC we were really comfortable. I recommend it a 100%, especially the tiramisu.

In the area we decided to come here for dinner since we were also celebrating a birthday & it was convenient. They Start u off with some bread & olive oil, not bad. Drinks we had both white & red wine, both good went well with our food. Appetizers we tried the Margarita pizza , freshly made out the oven, nice thin crust very tasty, Next up the Prosciutto & Burrata was delicious great tasting burrata , great when paired with the bread & olive oil. we also tried the Fried Calamari , this was good as well. Main dishes I had the Petto Di Pollo Milanese, whoa .. this is quite the large piece of chicken , nice tasting chicken good for sharing , nice little salad. Hubby had the Spaghetti Carbonara , this was very good as well. For dessert we all had the Crème Brule , very nice .. light tasting hint of sweetness it was very good. Nice looking place, nice brick oven for fresh pizza, service was good & prices are typical to the area & other Serafina locations , over all we had an enjoyable meal.

A lot of pros - incredible taste, portions are great, atmosphere at night is wonderful and great for dates. I've seen families and groups of friends go too. Waiters are extremely friendly as well. Drinks were amazing. I definitely will come again. One of the best italian restaurants

Food was good, got the fettuccine Alfredo, was so tasty & creamy. The vodka pasta was pretty fucking great just wasn't as flavorful as I expected it to be but all in all the food was good, however I asked the server for water and he offered me sparkling water I asked is it going to be free. This man looked me in my eyes and said yes come to find out it cost 5 bucks with some change. I told the server Jerry but Jerry just had an attitude & said it wasn't free & I said your server told me it was free he went ahead & still said it wasn't free he then looked at my sister in law & told her how he was gonna charge her for it also bc that he seen her drink some so I told him it was mine and told him how his worker told me otherwise but I left it at that and just paid for it. My experience w the food was good but Jerry you gotta fix yo damn attitude mister

Great service and my pasta was absolutely delicious. Good prices . Perfect lunch place ambiance . I don't have a pic of my food as it looked too good and I couldn't resist it .

So we actually ordered in from here for 5 adults and 3 hungry toddlers. I was impressed with the schnitzel pizza and regular pizza! YUM!!! We devoured this and I must say, this food was FRESH and tasty! Perfectly lightly fried and thin, just like we like 'em! I'll be ordering from here again!

We came to Serafina for a quick lunch. After briefly looking at the menu, we had high hopes. There was a wide variety of options available with good prices for a restaurant like this is New York, and even one in general. We ordered gnocchi and pasta and patiently waited. And waited. And waited. For these mere two dishes, we had to spend a hour in total at the restaurant. Despite that setback, we still enjoyed the restaurant. The food was delicious with relatively large servings sizes. In addition, the space was large with beautiful decorations and overall good ambiance. I would recommend coming to this restaurant but beware, you might or might not, have a long wait ahead of you.

There may be a wait, but hang in there as the food is very good. Service is good, not great or excellent. We were walk-ins about 8:00 on Friday evening of Labor Day weekend and were seated (2 of us) in about 15 minutes. My wife had the Faroe Islands salmon and it was cooked perfectly and she enjoyed it. I had the lasagna al forno and it was very good as well---worth the trip. As it is right across from hotel we stayed at, and will likely be staying at again in the future, I'm sure we will have return visits to Serafina.

Serafina is an italian food staple here in NYC. We ordered it for dinner at work and I decided to try the cacio e pepe. It was great! Definitely tasted classic and fresh but could've used just a bit more salt in my opinion. But definitely willing to stop by here and try other meals.

I have to shout out the service here. I think the level of care by waits staff and management is top notch. Also wonderful for kids. Tennis racket pasta and a margarita pizza for the kids is my recommendation. Take a family here, enjoy the patio you won't be disappointed.

Appetizers of crostini and bruschetta were very good. Bruschetta especially delicious. The prosciutto on the crostini was excellent. I had the cacio and pepe spaghetti and it was disappointing. Not enough cheese and the cheese was too mild. A pecorino cheese should have more flavor. I will try them again.

Will not go back. Ordered salad with shrimp. It had 30 small hot shrimp on top of lettuce. Tried it but something wasn't right after trying it a few times. Told the waiter that the lettuce was wilted and the shrimp was not right. Still charged me for it and spent hours on the toilet
