Accidentally found this fabulous place. We needed something good for lunch. I had no clue where we were going. I just liked the setup of the tables at the terrace. Finally it was quickly proven that this is a top Italian restaurant. Caprese was fabulous. Even the bred and the home made like olive oil is fantastic. Since we stopped for lunch my wife had to spaghetti carbonara and I had the lobster spaghetti. I wanted to try a Sauvignon Blanc with the paste but the sommelier recommended sg. that I was not familiar with but definitely suited my dish. Tiramisu is a must try. All dishes were fabulous, wine was excellent, service was professional. What else could you ask for? Perfect place, try it and you will not regret it for sure.

We were spending a couple of night at the Frederick Hotel and were given 2 free drink tickets upon arrival. After a show on Broadway Friday evening, we made it back in time to use those tickets before heading out the next morning. We both went with espresso martinis (one made with tequila) and we decided to try the chef special appetizer (and so happy we did because it was delicious!!!) Charred octopus over house made burrata — an absolute must! Service was very attentive and overall great and we sat on the enclosed patio which had great outdoor, pretty vibe. A great ending to our NYC trip.

Amazing truffle risotto! Worth the $. Other greats were the chicken parm and the orrechiette. Tiramisu is a must for dessert! Great experience with a live music for Mother’s Day. Staff was friendly and worked exceptionally well with a packed house.

Google
Delicious food and nice atmosphere. I have just one comment! the tables are very close from each other which I can’t feel comfortable having personal conversations. Also, it’s a bit pricey 😁

Google
The food was incredible, the pasta, pizza and the dessert were amazing. The place is wonderful and the servers were incredible even tho it was almost time to close. Thank you for an amazing dinner and experience.

The foods are super delicious. Celebrated my son's 27th birthday there. Excellent staff, great service. Thank you Cruiz , Daniel, and the rest the staff that took care of my family. 🧡

Google
Steak did not meet my expectations. Marinade and the quality of meat not what is expected from an Italian restaurant. It even needed salt and pepper, the sauce tasted like the ones bought at a supermarket. Not fresh The fries were good.

I was in NYC for a girls trip. We went to Serafina Tribeca. I am allergic to gluten and told the waitress. I ordered the Bolognese with gluten free pasta. I was told I had two options Spaghetti and Penne. The drinks were fabulous, the food came out my friends received the wrong pasta dishes. Our server noticed and took them back to be corrected. I was left with the Penne dish. You really have to go by trust when it comes to eating out with a gluten allergy, so I ate my dish. Before I could even leave the restaurant I was in so much pain, our server asked me if I was ok, and if she could get me a tea. I have never been in that much pain as I have not had a plate of gluten in 8 years. I did not complain while we were there, I just wanted to lay down. I have emailed the restaurant, but have not heard back. The food tasted amazing, but it is not worth going there if the likelihood for gluten poisoning happens on your trip, and our meal cost over $300. for the three of us.

Yelp
I had a fantastic time here! The pasta was absolutely delicious, though I expected nothing less. I also tried an incredible wine that was truly unforgettable!

Kimberly W.

Yelp
Enjoyed our evening here! Service was good. Waiter didn't know much about the menu when we asked questions or for recommendations. Nevertheless, beautiful rainy evening!

Tamara B.

Yelp
The service was ok, they weren't very attentive and sporadically checked on us. The rooftop was nice it was super cool to eat in the evening breeze with city lights as our backdrop! Loved the pizza super fresh and delicious! The Rigatoni Bolognese was also very tasty .

Yelp
Reliable Italian spot. Nothing more, nothing less. If you are craving a simple penne a la vodka, Serafina can satisfy that craving. However, do not expect mind blowing service (feels more like an assembly line) or attention to detail on the food (pasta was a bit overcooked). The menu will be familiar to all but if you're looking for more unique Italian, try another spot

Yelp
I was excited to dine at another "Serafina" restaurant location. My friends and I met up at this restaurant this past Thursday for lunch. I was so happy this place was close by from the subway station because it was frigid that afternoon. And I was so glad I made a reservation in advance because this place filled up fast. The staff were really nice and friendly. The ambiance was cozy. For appetizer, we ordered fresh Calamari. It was crunchy and nice. Although, everyone else liked the sauce, I wasn't crazy about it because I was used to eating it with marinara sauce. For my entree, I ordered the Ravioli alla Salvia (which is homemade spinach & ricotta ravioli served with butter & sage). The dish was decent, but I think they could have served it with more sauce. I felt like it was missing something. I also ordered the Torta Santa Rosalia which was pistachio ricotta cake with was served with a dollop of whipped cream. That was magnifico. It was heavenly. I should have ordered the Ravioli di porcini instead because that one has more flavor. I had this dish at the other Serafina location. My husband ordered the Pizza di Fabio and he really enjoyed it. Everyone else seems to have enjoyed their dishes as well. Overall, we had a nice time here.

Yelp
Went to Serafina's in the financial district and what a cozy place it is. It was a Monday night after the holidays get together with co-workers and this was the perfect spot to enjoy our food and conversation. The wait staff was accommodating and friendly.Food was delicious, great selection of wine too. I really enjoyed this restaurant and highly recommend it.

MaDonna W.

Yelp
Serafina is such a fun, adventurous, visually satisfying restaurant to dine in. We had the opportunity to sit outside in the beautiful patio or inside . We got there basically before the rush hour which was nice. Service was wonderful. The whiskey sour was delicious. The charred octopus was on point. The dressing on the kale salad was perfection. The service was good. It is a dog friendly restaurant. They have so many different locations. We got lucky as we were walking by on our way to Bryant Park. The food is very fresh. We saw many pizzas going by so we know they are known for their pizzas and they looked delicious.

Valerie N.

Yelp
Much to my surprise, I really enjoyed this place! I thought it might be overhyped like some other iconic NYC chains, but no! It was actually delicious and the vibe was fun and festive. The burrata and tomato app was delicious and the burrata was deliciously creamy. The tagliolini chicken pasta was good too! Drinks are good too. The decor is quite pretty, especially for the holidays. It can get loud since there's lots of happy people there and the service is great and attentive.

Jessica G.

Yelp
Came out with my boyfriend on a weekday date. We've heard great things about this spot and we're excited to try. We had the meatballs and a Brussels sprouts salad as appetizers to share, both were very good. This cocktails were okay, the service was attentive. The pasta portions are a good size, not enough for leftovers. I ordered the lasagna, loved it!

Yelp
We came here for NYE 2022 and it was amazing! Staff- The host was just so kind and accommodating as I was pregnant at the time and he did his very best to make sure I had a comfy seat. Our waiter was also lovely. Ambience- amazing you could really feel the NYE vibes in nyc. I'd do it again Food- large portions, I was impressed given how busy the place got. I'd order again. NYE celebration- this is the one spot I think they could work on. I'm hoping for 2023 they will make this a little classier- maybe they can convert the outdoor space into a nice bar/dance scene for people to ring in the new year. Although they probably need the tables. Price- average and fair. We tipped well because like I said the service was excellent!

Yelp
Quick lunch during a conference call. Nearby the Sheraton on 7th Ave, don't miss it. Ordered bruschetta as appetizer , it was super fresh and tasty with fine chopped basil. My steak came a little bit over medium, oposite to what I ordered, however, our server was super nice and apologized a couple times, offering to get me a new one. I declined because it was still good. Thank you Alex for your great service, I'll go back once in NYC.

Yelp
I've walked by this restaurant a few times since I started working in the area, and their floral arrangements are eye-catching. They have a rooftop that opens at 5 pm that I want to check out one night. I came by for lunch today with my coworkers. It was 8 and us and the table they put us at once exactly accommodating for our size. They eventually put another table next to ours once it was available. I ordered the Bourbon Peach and I was pleasantly surprised how the juice wasn't overpowering, yet still masked the potency of the bourbon. I would absolutely order it again. For lunch I had the Branzino Cherry tomatoes, which came with roasted potatoes and asparagus. The fish was tender and paired well with the wine sauce and tomatoes. The potatoes were crispy and asparagus was cooked well. We also ordered calamari for the table, and it was nice and crispy.

Charlene Y.

Yelp
Delicious to go. I ordered 2 Serafina pastas via UberEats to the hotel I stayed at. It came still hot in 2 neat tupperware. I liked the penne alla vodka. It tasted al dente and creamy. The acidity in the sauce was great. I didn't enjoy the other pasta, a farfalle al limoncello because it was too creamy for me and it doesn't taste right because I tasted it when it cooled down. Probably, a me issue. I also don't like heavy pastas. The serving of 1 pasta dish is already super filling. You will be full and satisfied after eating at Serafina.

Amanda T.

Yelp
Stopped here for some cocktails after a day out exploring the neighborhood. Enjoyed some delicious Paloma's and then a dirty martini. The service was a bit slow since we were sitting at the bar and they were quite busy, but it was a great spot to land for a couple hours and enjoy some drinks and people watch.

Stephanie T.

Yelp
Serafina is quite lovely. It is a chain restaurant so I wasn't expecting much but it's nice for a lunch or date. The portions are filling, not like other pasta places that serve you so little that you're still hungry afterwards. I would visit again once in a while since it is a little pricy. It's solid Italian food that does not disappoint.

Ellen C.

Yelp
I came to Serafina on a Thursday evening with no reservation, but we were able to get seated immediately. The restaurant is super cute with fairy lights and floral decorations outside. I think they also have three stories of seating!? Food wise, they have a large menu with a variety of items featuring salads, pastas, entrées, and pizzas. I ended up ordering their pesto, chicken salad. The portion was HUGE. It came as a chop salad piled up like a mountain with two pieces of flatbread on the side. This salad was so good oh my gosh. I ate the whole thing and I was so satisfied. However, I know they're known for more Italian foods I would come again to try a pasta or entree.

Josh G.

Yelp
Serafina has a few locations throughout the city, but does not feel like a chain of any sort. They offer a nice atmosphere and have friendly employees and reliably good food. I would recommend a pasta dish but only out of personal preference. Overall, worth a visit and suitable for any occasion from a happy hour to a date.

Jeannie T.

Yelp
Serafina has been around for as long as I can remember. Glad to see it flourish and pop up in different neighborhoods around the city. This was my first visit at this location but definitely not my first time at Serafina. Fabulous Italian food, simple and not fussy. The menu offers other secondary plates like proteins with pasta or without. So if you want to avoid the carb loading, then try the secondi menu. And of course, the Burrata salad. It's thin crust pizza is a favorite no matter which variation you choose. A must try. They always manage to get the crust just fire-kissed and never over done. Perfection. I think the simple but fresh ingredients make all the difference. My favorite appetizer is the meatballs. Never dry and excellent sauce, with a dollop of rich ricotta cheese. The homemade pastas are proportioned for one but I like to order a pizza and pasta to share for the table if everyone's undecided on their own entree. This visit, Margherita pizza and Penne alla vodka (not spicy, there is a spicy version). The pasta is al dente and the sauce was just enough. A hint of parmigiano, onions, cream based sauce, so good! Opens late (approx 10pm even on a Sunday). Great date night spot, casual get together or a sophisticated dinner party - you choose. It works. This location is connected to the Frederick Hotel.

Yelp
And you may find yourself, craving an Italian lunch And you may find yourself in another part of the city And you may find yourself, putting cotton balls in your ears from all the annoying music And you may find yourself with a mediocre portion, with mediocre taste And you may ask yourself, "Well, why did I go here?" Yelp
Had a work dinner here, and was pleasantly surprised by how great the experience was. The restaurant itself is gorgeous and spacious. Love the lively but homey atmosphere. Their menu is very expansive (both in their food and drinks), which can make it hard for an indecisive person like me, and everything sounded so good! For appetizers, we opted for the Bruschetta, Meatballs, and the Calamari. All were fairly decent and as expected. For my entree, I ordered the Farfalle Al Limoncello pasta. I'm a big fan of the bow tie pasta shape, and this came with a hefty portion. The pasta was perfectly al dente, but I was expecting a little bit more in flavor. It was a creamier pasta but a bit one-dimensional to me. But it did come with a generous amount of shrimp. Service was pretty consistent and good throughout. Definitely a solid place for a larger group gathering.

Aubrey D.

Yelp
The vibe here is amazing. I love the small details and everything, it's just a great place to go have a nice dinner. I went for a quick bite and our server was really nice but didn't seem to do much for us, I believe that the bussers work harder and I hope they get a percentage of that tip too!

Mia W.

Yelp
Sweet spot in the center of New York City. Go for the ambience and the excellent wine selection. Our meal was delicious and our server could not have been on more on top of things for a bustling Sunday afternoon. Be aware this restaurant caters to families so daytime, be prepared for noise and children during the day. If that's not something that concerns you, enjoy. At night, this place has all the vibes for a a great date as the views and food create an environment of serenity and yumminess. Will definitely go back, so many choices with reasonable portions and prices. Bueno appetito!

Kristin C.

Yelp
My favorite neighborhood staple, reliably excellent. Staff is friendly attentive and not intrusive. My favorite items on the menu are any of the starters with prosciutto, linguine el fierno, the mushroom ravioli, eggplant parm & shrimp with bow tie pasta in a light lemon sauce. Portion sizes aren't huge, but more than adequate. Oh.. do not leave without the tiramisu, even if you're stuffed, take it to go! YUM! I'd be LOST without this place, it's exactly what I want more often than not!

Dani C.

Yelp
The food was beyond of delicious. It tasted so good I could cry'. My server (Rabiel) was very friendly and seemed to know the menu very well. The atmosphere was really aesthetically appealing and I would definitely come back and it is a highly recommended!

Natalie L.

Yelp
Came here for a random midday lunch with family and it was great. I've heard about this place a few times so I wanted to try it out and it didn't disappoint. I tried all the pastas and they were all really tasty. The place was also pretty chic and cute. Our waiter was really nice, the only thing is that we were waiting for our check for a very long time and it wasn't a crowded day and we needed to leave, but besides that everything was great.

Sonja K.

Yelp
Great Italian spot, nice ambiance, good food, can't go wrong here. Cocktails were delicious and smooth, all the food options were great, we got bruschetta to split which was fresh and light, bread was perfectly crispy. Pastas we're Al Dante and sauce was fresh! If you're looking for good accessible Italian in nyc, can't go wrong here!

Erika H.

Yelp
Solid spot for a dinner that's causal, but still feels nice. The service is always good and there is seating both upstairs and downstairs. Lots of appetizers to choose from. The only negative was that the Burrata Prosciutto came with not enough Burrata compared to the amount of Prosciutto.

Arielle D.

Yelp
Anyone who knows me knows that I love to dine and write honest reviews about restaurants. I have written over four hundred reviews. I have dined in thousands of restaurants and I never sent back a meal or drink, primarily because if it isn't too bad I don't complain. However, Serafina is the exception. This was my first time at Serafina and I wasn't impressed at all. The appetizers were salty and the cocktails were watered down. You would think that the food would be better because of their branding and the hype built on social media--the experience was mediocre. Do yourself a favor and go to Little Italy. Thank me later.

Dave F.

Yelp
Expected better from this high-end Italian chain. Food was generally good (if in-stock), but the environment/ambiance was a let down. I chose to bring my coworkers here for a going-away dinner for an employee on a Monday night. It wasn't overly busy, but definitely more patrons than a single server can handle. Pretty sure our server was the only one responsible for the whole room, which we appreciate his ability to handle it. First, ambiance - They sat us at a small round table that was half booth and 2 chairs for the 6 of us, but the round table was really small in diameter and everyone's knees were hitting each other. It's really probably not made for more than 3 or 4, so I got to sit uncomfortable for the couple of hours we were there. The entire upstairs was empty, but that's also where the bathroom, so take note if stairs are not your thing. Menu-wise is also an experience. They just give you a QR code for you to scan. So every time we wanted to get another drink or something, gotta scan the QR code. Quite annoying. Food-wise, I actually think the appetizers and entrees that were actually in-stock were pretty good, but nothing over the top amazing. One of the beers I asked for was not in stock and I was given a different beer without asking me. They also had beer that wasn't on menu and I chanced out on one of those and it was pretty good. My coworker experienced probably the most frustration of the evening where the entrée and the desert he wanted were both out of stock. Unheard of IMHO on a early Monday evening, but he made do. They also never brought him his espresso, but that was addressed in the bill, no worries there. Now specifically for the food, we got the following for the table: -Meat and cheese spread tray -bruschetta -meatballs Meatballs were probably the highlight. The bruschetta is on par and the meat/cheese spread tray probably didn't come with enough bread. Off the specials of the day menu, I got the halibut with truffle sauce and truffle carpaccio which came over broccoli rabe and roasted potatoes. I actually thought this was quite good and probably something not found so easily. I wouldn't necessarily put up with everything in this review to come here to get it again, but I do recommend this dish. For dessert, I didn't see anything too interesting, so ended up trying something new - torta santa rosalia. Wasn't bad, but wasn't overly amazing. Maybe other locations are better, but probably gonna stick with more traditional red sauce joints next time for team dinners.

Jenny C.

Yelp
I sat outside on a hot day but I saw the inside was a normal brick rustic style restaurant. It definitely doesn't compare to the other locations since I think the other locations look a lot better in aesthetic. It doesn't uphold the same standard as the other serafina restaurants that are really popular. To be honest I enjoyed my penne arrabiatta because I thought that it had good flavor but the penne didn't feel homemade and it's pretty pricey for this kind of dish especially because I can make this at home but it's not bad. The cacio e Pepe was mediocre and not that cheesy or creamy so I don't think it was as great for the price you pay since it's like over 19 dollars for this dish. The cocktails were pretty good though- as I got the fresh cucumber mint and my party got a mojito. It was refreshing but definitely very average for New York.

E C.

Yelp
We mentioned to the server that a member of our party had a specific food allergy. The server wrote it down. We placed the order and the dish came with ingredients different than what was listed on the menu AND was exactly what the person is allergic to. We told the server. He said he had told the kitchen. We said but you still served what the person is allergic to and she ate it. He said the ingredient was not in it but it clearly was. He was incorrect but kept insisting he wrote it down, which is true but. the person in our party wasn't feeling well because she ate what she is allergic to so we told the we had to go. They brought the bill. No apology. No offer to take it off the bill. What a terrible experience. I will never go back.

Amanda B.

Yelp
Oh my gosh!!!! What a pleasant experience we had here! We walked in and were seated right away. Everyone we came in contact with from the host to the server, were so kind. The service was top notch and our food came SO quickly. We never had to ask for refills of water, which was helpful since we were SO thirsty from walking all day. I had the pappardelle with short rib and omg.... It was amazing. My date had the ubah hot pizza which - if you get this - proceed with caution! It is SO SPICY, but they will warn you about that! The atmosphere was such a cute vibe. This was my first time in the city and I couldn't have picked a better place to have my first NYC dinner. I'll be back!

Susan B.

Yelp
This is a very pleasant place. We sat upstairs . I think these old buildings with the worn brick and irregular floors are much nicer than newer interiors. I had the eggs Benedict with smoke salmon. It came with potatoes . I usually say hold the potatoes but thankfully I forgot. The potatoes with onions were fantastic. The eggs B was tasty. It was Saturday afternoon. It was very busy . I felt fortunate to get a table.

Christine E.

Yelp
I had the margarita pizza and tiramisu tonight, both were delicious! I am staying at the Frederick hotel attached so it's very quick and convenient- they can deliver to your room! The GM Pablo was super nice and took care of me. I am so happy and I will be back during my visit. The prices are really reasonable as well. Thank you Pablo!

Danny L.

Yelp
The food overall was very good, lots of flavor, well cooked, and generous portions. Hands down some of the best carbona I've had--had such a good smokiness to it. The cacio e pepe was also decent, and the pasta were cooked to perfection. We also had the kale salad, which was light and refreshing. Very modern feel--it's a bit dim at night but good ambiance. Service was also prompt and friendly.

Barbara C.

Yelp
LOVED our visit to Serafina, Tribeca! Dined on the beautiful rooftop! Decorated beautifully with an amazing view! Service was excellent, Food was delish and the cocktails were even better! We sat with the Empire State Building in our view, enjoying perfect cold Cosmos and I believe we actually manifested Chris Noth (aka Mr Big!!) to appear! He was very friendly, extremely handsome and walked over to chat with us at our table! A Dream Come True! We will definitely be back!

Vicki C.

Yelp
One of the reassuring Italian chains in NYC would for sure be @serafinanewyork ! Not my first time here, and for this occasion my favorite out of all would be the truffles crostini, which is on the special menu. The bread was not that crunchy, but the truffles spread tasted flavorful and really amazing! Both being truffles, the crostini was definitely better than the pasta in my opinion!

Jenny C.

Yelp
I have eaten here before. It has always been delicious. Even the drinks were good. I tried the I Octopus. It was cooked flawlessly and it was flavorful. We sat outside one summer afternoon. We were told that the rooftop was opened and agreed to sit there next we go. I am never disappointed with any dish I order. Spot by and enjoy the good food.

Michael A.

Yelp
Beautiful rooftop area with excellent service and food. Price is very reasonable for a nice dinner in manhattan

Meghna S.

Yelp
Serafina turned out to be better than I expected. Cute interiors with welcoming vibe and great staff. We were served well throughout. I'm on a detox so I settled for a chilled mojito mocktail. Refreshing but a bit too sweet for my taste. Bruschetta was fresh, crispy and delicious but the star dish was oven baked branzino. The fish was wrapped in some recyclable leaf (it wasn't banana leaf for sure) and served with a side of roasted potatoes. The best version of baked branzino I have had in a long time. Almost felt like comfort food. Though I will say this place is a bit over priced but so are rentals in Tribeca. Definitely a restaurant to consider if you happen to be in that neighborhood.

Marina A.

Yelp
The best cacio y Pepe and meatballs I've ever had. I love this place so much. Such a nice atmosphere and vibe. The service was impeccable and you really can't go wrong with going to Serafina Tribeca. Amazing!!

Jackie G.

Yelp
Love this place the employee are very friendly and welcoming. Shout out to the bartender Ramiro he always puts a smile on my face.

Dan C.

Yelp
Food was above average, good veggie and Italian fare all around. Literally the rudest waiter I've ever encountered: didn't pour water, came up to our table with POS and asked if we're ready, and he barked "next one" without looking up once the first person said what they wanted. I called him out on it, told him that's super aggressive and he just kept barking "next one". For serafina management, the guy was a short Asian man with a long ponytail. It was a unbelievably, laughably bad and aggressive service. Food was good though!

Santiago K.

Yelp
Great restaurant in Tribeca. Great ambiance. The staff is very friendly. You have the option on seating indoors and out. The food is really good but I bit overpriced in my opinion. The penne vodka is good, the sauce is delicious but it needs more ingredients on it, and maybe chicken. The Burger was delicious. The Checking cordon blue was definitely my favorite. Lastly, I think they should put other type of music instead of reggaeton, definitely not the ambiance for that type of music. Muy buen restaurante en Tribeca. Lindo ambiente.

Brian G.

Yelp
We are staying at the Frederick Hotel next door and made reservations before arriving here in NYC. We wanted to make a last minute change to the reservation time and they were very accommodating. Both my daughter and I enjoyed our meals. I had the lasagna and she had the Paglia a Fieno. We dined outside and took in the open air seating. Staff were masked and gracious. Thanks Serafina!

Marcella B.

Yelp
Took my family here after going to the ballet The service and food was awesome . We had the best cocktails ;basil and strawberry infused martinis It's was called the naked Martini and it was fabulous!!! We had the fried calamari / fresh breads for appetizer and they did not disappoint. As entree we had the sausage orecchiette, margherita pizza and Brussels sprout salad . Everything was excellent but the piece de resistance was the dessert . It was amazing !!!!!!! I would come back here just for the dessert alone We had the berry tart and the profiteroles. I can't even describe it . It was like biting into chocolate covered air and cream . Light and fluffy and divine . Our waiter was helpful and kind . Thank you so much for the suggestions and we will be back

Jessie B.

Yelp
The food was great! Large servings, probably could have split with someone. Also got the Caesar salad which was tasty!

B F.

Yelp
Really loud. Bruschetta shockingly salty. Cacio e Pepe pasta also tremendously salty. I drank 6 glasses of water to quench thirst as the night progressed.

Patty T.

Yelp
Yum!! Popped in for dinner with no reservations. Got seated right away, ordered a Caesar salad and truffle ravioli. Both were amazing!! Another go-to when in NYC!!
