Atlanta Restaurants: Midtown Restaurant 5Church Is Opening a Second Location on Peachtree Road in Buckhead, Replacing Sage Woodfire Grill | Eater Atlanta

"An Italian restaurant adjacent to a dine-in movie theater at Colony Square centers its menu on handmade pasta and classic Italian dishes, including fettuccine alla bolognese (beef, pork, pancetta), mezzelune di aragosta stuffed with lobster, ricotta, and mozzarella, and veal milanese. The beverage program features cocktails and a globally sourced wine list. The dining room seats about 230 guests, with additional patio seating and a private dining room; the restaurant opens for dinner daily at 4 p.m., offers a weekday happy hour, and weekend brunch beginning at 11 a.m." - Beth McKibben

Went with my wife and a friend. Our experience was a mixed bag of great, good/average, and not so good. Great = The atmosphere, decorations, restaurant staff. It’s a beautifully decorated space - great interior decoration, extremely clean and well decorated bathrooms, and the staff we encountered were all extremely welcoming and friendly. The good/average = The food. The food good but not great - nothing special. The food looks good (photos included) and our friend enjoyed hers more than my wife and I. We both agreed - all in all - average. The not so good = the nickel-and-dime approach. We went for lunch, most restaurants give you bread, after 15 minutes or so - no bread, so I asked. Was told for dinner bread is included, but for lunch - table bread is $3.00 per serving. What?!! $3.00?? For bread?! They charge $3 for something every other restaurant includes… $3 for something that likely cost them at maximum no more than 0.50 cents!? And probably not even that. The waitress told us she gave us two “loaves” - I guess the $3 should only include one “loaf” but she gave us two. Now one “loaf” is approx 5x5” piece of focaccia bread cut into 4-5 pieces. Enough for 2 people so I guess that’s why she gave us two (one extra out of kindness). All in all - $3 for what should be given in good customer service and, “You’re paying $30-50 per person so the least we can do is include a .50 cent piece of bread.” Not them - Absolutely ridiculous!! That is the epitome of nickel and diming your customers! My wife and I later agreed we will never return. Too many other options we have to try in Colony Square.

This was a great place. We initially saw it by our hotel and wanted to go because it's my daughter's name, but surprised they had a brunch menu and excited to try it. Beautiful interior, great staff and food. Brandon was amazing, so attentive and helpful. He even laughed with us for our photo shoot and had great recommendations. The food was tasty. Will definitely visit again when we come back to Atlanta. Must have the zeppole, Italian donuts with lemon curd sauce. SO GOOD.

We had our rehearsal dinner & welcome party here, and it was fantastic for private events! Kelsey was so responsive during the entire event-planning process. The team printed menus for each of our guests. The outdoor patio served as a great holding-area while welcome party guests arrived, but we were still finishing rehearsal dinner speeches inside. Once the rehearsal dinner ended, we opened up the large patio door to allow flow between the inside & outside patio. The food was fantastic--we got multiple compliments from guests on how yummy dinner was! We are so happy we decided on Serena Pastificio for Friday of our wedding weekend.

First of all, this restaurant is very pretty. It has an atmosphere that makes you think it will serve organic food, and it is clean and stylish, but it also has a cozy atmosphere like a home. The server was friendly and the host was also friendly, but the food came out quite late. Maybe it was a weekday lunch. The restaurant was not full, but the server was late. In addition, most of the pasta and ravioli we ordered were a bit salty and did not meet our expectations. The mocktail was pretty, but it did not taste that good. However, the panini was very delicious. The bread was very well-baked, and the handmade potato chips were also quite delicious.

Came here to celebrate my birthday but was unfortunately disappointed. We made a reservation and stayed for about two hours and within the two hours we had 3 separate issues—none of which were addressed appropriately. 1. We ordered an appetizer that was run to the wrong table. The table next to us was a little confused but still accepted it thinking it was part of their entree. Rather than fixing the issue quickly, the waitress noticed this after we had finished our other appetizer and as our entrees were supposedly almost ready (we waited a good 10-15min more after). All that was said was “I’m sorry do you still want it?” 2. When I received my carbonara it was cold and already congealed into a brick of cheese. My partner had to hunt down the waiter and we ended up waiting another 15 minutes for them to return what looked like even more congealed reheated pasta. For reference, I was able to flip the whole chunk of pasta by entirely over in one piece without it losing its shape. Also, the waiter that returned my fixed pasta was oddly rude about it. 3. When I finally left after being disappointed, ends up the restaurant didn’t properly validate my parking and I ended up having to pay $27 just to leave. I had to call Colony Square parking the next day but it’s still pending and not a good topping on the cake especially after spending $300 and the aforementioned instances. In conclusion, I’d rather have spent the special occasion and money on a big-toe massage machine because I’d at least have something left.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This place was exceptional. It's beautiful on the inside — very calm, kind of moody and romantical cute 💕✨. I sat at the bar and was helped by two different providers — they were amazing 🙌. The customer service was impeccable. Then I ate the food and what a wonderful mouth party that was 😋🔥. I had mushrooms and a ravioli and the sweet potato crème brûlée.. Mercy.. 🤤 You should go — it's fantastic 😍🍷.

The food was amazing! The autumn seasonal menu had sweet potato gnocchi and it was phenomenal! The tiramasu was huge and marscapone forward (i.e lady fingers instead of a cake base). I don't drink so I got a Mocktail and it was so good I couldn't believe there wasn't any alcohol in it! Definitely will be back!

We were very lucky to grab a table while in the area without reservations. The staff were so kind and helpful with their recommendations. The truffle pasta and tiramisu were the stand outs of the evening!
