Wonderful culinary experience. This was such a treat and such a brilliant way to try a Michelin guide and bib gourmand restaurant. The food does not disappoint and I can’t wait to come back here when I’m next in Milan. I had the meat tasting menu and I was delighted with the flavour and variety of food I had the privilege of trying. Exceptional value for money at only €35 as well. If you’re looking to experience Michelin quality food, without the stuffy and pretentious atmosphere, this is the place for you. 5 stars! Highly recommend this place.

Went for the special lunch menu for €10 + €2 (coperto)- appetizers (pic 2), main dish (has different options: vegetarian/vegan, meat- chicken, fish), with water 50cl and coffee included. The place has a very immersive, well kept and especially has a very authentic atmosphere. It was not very busy when we went, but maybe you should book in advance if you’re a group of more than 5 people, but it could totally host more, though not as big of a place as expected but has the adequate amount of tables considering the district it’s in. The service was positive, the waiter is polite, welcoming and available, the food arrived in a timely manner; and the portion size is more than generous (I couldn’t finish my main course and had the rest to go) Flavor wise, it didn’t disappoint, you can choose from three different sauces with varying and distinct flavors to accompany the bread for the appetizer. For the main course I got the chicken (meat) option, it was well seasoned and not too overpowering or too savory, which harmoniously blends with the perfectly cooked white rice and vegetables, which are also seasoned and cooked to perfection, a dish that could also stand on its own (not less compared to its meat counterpart). I love the traditional presentation like the plates and cutlery. The price to quality and quantity ratio is very good, especially for Milan; definitely a good deal (considering a Michelin star restaurant, as mentioned in the well crafted and detailed menu, which are not too overwhelming). So if you ever find yourself near the area, this place is a definitely a must try, especially if you want to try something new and are open to exploring diverse cultural cuisines. I 100% personally recommend this place and will definitely go back.

Landed in Milan the capital or pasta and pizza and we chose SRI LANKAN FOOD. The best decision we made! First off we arrived with no reservation, when you walk in you’re instantly greeted by the owner who personally seats you, he is the sweetest most kind man and you can see how attentive he is to every detail. Most of the other tables were eating the “sharing menu” we decided to share two dishes, 1. Chicken tiki masala (best tiki masala I have ever had) 2. Alams (which was a beef and vegetable stew cooked in turmeric) we also had a traditional starter (chapati with dips) and raita. We also decided to try both beers. At first, we preferred the Indian lager, but just like how wine changes taste after eating cheese, the Sri Lankan beer, Kamasutra, tasted even better after we started eating our dishes. Overall this place was a 10/10 the bill came out to 28 euro each (before tip) and trust me it was worth each and every euro 🤓🤤🙂

We were highly recommended Serendib restaurant in Milan by our friends. The service at Serendib is unmatched. We were greeted by the owner Suranga who went above and beyond, accommodating every request with a smile. The food was 10/10 we had the biryani and mixed Kottu Rotti which was absolutely delicious. We wanted to try out a Sri Lankan restaurant in Milan, and Serendib seemed like the best choice. The place is decorated with many references to Sri Lankan history and culture, which we found to be interesting. The food was great, the spicy level was good as well. We ordered the lunch special for EUR 10, which includes chapati appetizer and the main course with rice and curries. The chicken curry was not authentic, but tasty all the same. The watalappan and mee kiri were delicious as well. If you're a Sri Lankan in Milan, this is definitely a place to try out. And if you're interested in Sri Lankan cuisine, this would be a great place to start experiencing their delicacies.

Serendib hosted our small dinner event for a group I belong to. The food was freshly cooked and excellent, and the waiters were very attentive. The owner, Mr. Perera, welcomed each of us with a friendly smile. The price of 2 drinks and an appetizer buffet, followed by a main dish and mineral water, is very reasonable. The space is small, so when the restaurant is full, it can be a bit noisy.

This restaurant has a cozy and welcoming atmosphere with delicious food and friendly staff. The prices are fair, and overall it’s a great place to enjoy a nice meal. Highly recommended

(4.5 stars) Lots of thanks to Bib Gourmand for this wonderful, affordable recommendation not too far from the center of the city. I think this was my first Sri Lankan restaurant experience and it didn't disappoint. We ordered a bunch of the Sri Lankan dishes and they were all super flavorable. The chicken, lamb, and beef dishes all had unique preparations and were all very tender. The chicken tikka masala was the only think I didn't really love (just a very different sauce than you'd expect). Honestly the single best bite of the night was the vegetable samosas. Stuffed to the brim, not oily at all, crisp exterior, vivacious interior, and a beautiful golden brown color. Don't leave this restaurant without trying one, or maybe even a dozen...

Host rudely turned us away after showing our foreign covid vaccination card to sit down at the restaurant. Our vaccination card has been accepted in every restaurant across Italy for the last 3 weeks we have been here and is the exact substitute for the Italian green pass. When we tried to explain that to him, he would not accept it and rudely told us we were not allowed to stay. Which as uninformed as that was I get the rules change every day and the times are complicated and weird. But he didn't go ask for help and he wouldn't even listen to that everyone else has accepted this and look at the documentation to show that it is a suitable substitute. Instead he just kicked us out of a completely empty restaurant, which was the other kicker as it wasn't like they were swamped or even had a couple tables to take care of, no one was there and he could have taken the time to become informed and gain two customers. Would not recommend this restaurant.

Excellent service, excellent food, excellent experience. Looking for some authentic Indian food, we stumbled across this establishment based on the reviews in yelp and we weren't disappointed. Will come back when in the area.

Amazing food! We came here starved, after checking into our air-bnb nearby. We were not disappointed. Great service, happy hour for free wine, and most importantly, food had so much flavor and depth. All the appetizers and entrees were consistantly delicious. We will definatelyy miss it and recommend anyone who loves Indian food!

This is a gem great food service is awesome and good selection of Indian wine. Do it!

Was staying at Airbnb above the restaurant and decided to give it a try for convenience sake and I was IMMENSELY pleased with my decision. Wait staff was all super attentive, polite, and personable. I ordered a vegetarian dish which came in two parts which was more than enough food, especially for the price. Even though I am only traveling through Milan, if I ever find myself back I will definitely make a return to Serendib:)

We decided to try this restaurant, despite some mixed reviews and so glad we did!! Sampled a variety of vegetarian dishes, as well as a prawn entree. Everything was delicious and well seasoned. The service was attentive and friendly. I would definitely recommend this restaurant!!
