Jacob’s Catch Bar & Grill opens at Serene on the Eastside | Eater Vegas

"Since early 2017 this low-profile hotel across from the Hard Rock has operated as a modest resort property that has cycled through several dining concepts. It replaced a boutique hotel and has previously hosted outlets such as RLX Restaurant and Sip N’ Savor, as well as a past concept from local chef Vic Moea. The property now includes an on-site Southern dining option just off the lobby and presents a bright, modern interior for both guests and visitors." - Bradley Martin

Sip N’ Savor Debuts at the Serene Resort | Eater Vegas

"Located at Serene Resort on 455 E. Harmon Ave., I found Sip N’ Savor stepping out of the property's shadows to offer a casual yet engaging dining and lounge experience open to everyone from breakfast to dinner. The compact indoor space expands into an outdoor lounge and includes a 14-seat private dining section, and weekend brunch runs from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It's situated across from the Hard Rock Hotel and is open daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.; the listed phone is 702-620-3322. Menu highlights include a $10 avocado toast, $8 omelets, and an $8 house-made stack of pancakes for breakfast; a $12 black bean burger, $12 chicken and waffles, and the $8 “chop chop” chopped cheeseburger on a hoagie roll for lunch; appetizers such as wings, calamari, pot-stickers, elote, and spinach artichoke dip; dinner entrees like Cornish hen, lamb chops, salmon, and vodka rigatoni; and desserts of deep-fried cheesecake and banana spring rolls." - Bradley Martin

The place is lovely, new, fresh and simple. The rooms are big and clean. Good price and nice free and spacious parking. The staff is lovely. You ove 200USD deposit when you go which is refundable. I find it a bit odd to have just 1 microwave in the lobby for all guests but that is how they decided it to be. However a huge no for me was the AC, after I changed the temperature, dust started falling on the bed and I am alergic. It would've been best if they changed the filters of the AC.

There are good things I can say about the hotel and bad. Let's start with the good. The price is good for what you get. It's clean. The bathroom is nice. Towels, sheets, pillows, blankets, a/c was all good. The front desk person working when I arrived was very nice and allowed me to switch from a king bed to a 2 queen room that I requested at check in. The door locked and could not be opened from the outside without a key, which is good, but the security bolt did not work. This is the start of the bad. The bed was soft and caves, the airplane noice is bad, woke me up at 6 am. Also we could hear the TV from the next room which was loud probably because the walls are thin and without proper insulation. So to wrap up, if you understand what you are paying for and it's limitations it's ok to stay here.

I had the best experience in my life there. I flew from Columbus Ohio straight to that hotel next day after getting married in June 2023. My wife and I were so satisfied with the room layout. It was the first time we saw one like that. 10 out of 10.

There's late check in and out if you have a later flight or just don't want to leave as early. The cleaning crew come every other day which can be nice but also sometimes annoying if you want to be left in peace. However there is a do not disturb sign to let them know if you don't want to be disturbed by them whilst in the room, or you can ask reception. They have a pool, gym and spa. I recommend the outside pool although there's sometimes debris floating on the pool. 100% recommend. It's a lovely budget friendly place to stay. It is located just off the strip. You can walk to the strip, but I wouldn't advise if it's really hot and sunny as it took us around 25 minutes to get to MGM Grand. Rooms were clean and simple. Some places in the room had dents and holes. I took pictures in case I was charged for damage.

We prepaid for our room weeks ago. When we were arrived we were asked to pay a $35 resort fee which we had anticipated. Then we were asked for a $200 deposit for the room we were staying in for a single night. We were frustrated and explained to the manager. He stated that this should be stated on our email from when we paid. It was not. We showed this to him and he pretty much blew us off and told us to call customer service. That's how our anniversary vacation began. I can see why they need a deposit though considering that the property looks pretty dilapidated and needs some serious improvements. Makes me wonder what kind of folk typically stay here. Edit: after my wife made multiple complaints to both the manager and 3rd party website we purchased the room from the manager did offer to give us free breakfast the following morning. He also showed her where in his original listing it was stated that there was a deposit. So I guess be cautious when buying from 3rd party websites.

Hi, we were put in RM. 1801 The A/C unit was not the best. Also the refrigerator motor was loud. With no safe in that room. They switched our room to R.M. 1810 THE STAFF were very nice and helpful. One day. we did not receive any room service. The bathroom is very nice. But it needs a dimmer switch very bright. Nice size rooms. Thanks.

I had a pleasant experience at this hotel, and the staff genuinely strives to make your stay enjoyable. It's important to note that they maintain a firm policy regarding negotiations after checkout. If you’re someone who tends to complain, this may not be the right hotel for you. Recently, I witnessed an interesting situation where a guest expressed concern about a $5 bill she claimed was taken by housekeeping. The manager calmly explained that there was no 'do not disturb' sign displayed in her room. They reviewed the security footage to clarify the situation. The manager also mentioned that under certain circumstances, housekeepers may consider small amounts left on tables or beds as tips. In this instance, it appears there was a misunderstanding, and the hotel was willing to offer compensation, like a complimentary drink or breakfast, but the guest sought a full refund, which was understandably declined. It was a bit uncomfortable to observe her discussion with the front desk about the missing funds, where she mentioned $9 instead of the original $5 she claimed was lost. Overall, I commend the management for handling the situation professionally. It's a reminder that clear communication is key, especially in hospitality settings.

There are no elevators. Stairs only but there is security and only two entrances into the building. The room was good but the door handle was broken to the bedroom door. The breakfast which was 9.99 a person was disappointing and there was no beverages. I would not recommend the breakfast. The sausage was dry and so where the pancakes. The eggs were rubbery and used the same spoon for the shrimp fried rice as just the plain eggs. The potatoes were hard so really not a good price for the quality of the food. Overall the room was clean and simple.
