A little over four years ago, I walked into Serenity Star at one of the lowest points in my life, unsure of what the future held. Looking back now, I can say with complete certainty that this place saved my life. It wasn’t just a treatment center—it was a home, a family, and a foundation for the rest of my life.
From the moment I arrived, I was met with compassion, understanding, and a sense of belonging that I had never felt before. The staff at Serenity Star truly care, not just about helping people get sober, but about healing the whole person—mind, body, and spirit.
What sets Serenity Star apart is the love and accountability that exists in this community. The program challenged me to be honest with myself, to face my past, and to take responsibility for my future. The cafes that help fund the program taught me that a life of service is so important to my recovery and that our main purpose in life is to be of service to all of humanity.
Today, I am four years sober, and I owe so much of that to the foundation I built at Serenity Star.
