"Creative appetizers and tapas, plus a “Skinny Menu” and a rustic-meets-modern decor sets Sergio's apart from other Cuban restaurants. For more than 40 years, the Cuban mini-chain has been serving a large assortment Cuban specialties like the vaca frita empanada with the special cilantro sauce, croquetas and tostones rellenos, along with the new-er health-conscious Skinny Menu items like cauliflower rice and fire-grilled vegetables." - Mary Jo Almeida Shore

Google
I had a wonderful breakfast at this location and highly recommend it. The ambience was beautiful, the food was well-prepared and fresh, and the staff were very friendly and attentive. There was a great variety of breakfast options, making it an excellent dining experience overall.

Google
Down here for work and was recommended this restaurant for good Cuban food. I and 3 co-workers dined here and had a really good experience. We all ordered different items, and all were good. We had an issue with one of our meals, and that was taken care of on the spot. I can't remember the young man that was the bar tender on 2 June 24 but every one of the drinks that he made for us were perfect 👌 They were just right and we made sure he was tipped well! I will say I tried the plaintains/fu fu, I didn't really care for the flavor of it. To me, it tasted like it was potentially sour/spoiled, but I didn't ask for anything else because I was full off the rest of the plate. We had an older gentleman who was our waiter, and he was excellent! The cuban coffee I ordered was perrrrrfect! So far, the best I've had! Great experience!

Google
Came here for my graduation dinner and was thoroughly impressed by the service and the level of care that was given to us. Juan was incredibly nice and friendly took very good care of all of us and helped us set up our tables in a timely manner. Definitely come here again for the next event🩷🩷

Google
Food was great, definitely worth a visit! Staff was very friendly and helpful, service was a good speed, not so fast that I felt rushed, but not so slow that I was annoyed and waiting, a good speed for a relaxed meal, but probably fast enough to have if you’re looking for a fairly quick dinner. They also have robots to carry food from the kitchen to tables, where human staff will meet the robot at the table to actually place food on the table. It’s neat, and doesn’t remove the human element from the service, so guests still interact with humans as normal.

Cynthia Brockman

Google
So very good . Livan was one of the nicest waiters I have ever met. He helped pick out the best food to represent Cuban food. Excellent service and wonderful food .

Google
Everything was great. Food is always good. Keep in mind that the portions are very big. Some of them can be good for 2 people if you don't eat much. Service is always fast and courteous. Now they have robots bringing your order from the kitchen to you table. I got the cuban special fried rice. They have a special area that you can reserve for special occasions like small weddings, engagement, etc. Lots of free parking outside.

David Valdes

Google
This place never disappoint. I been here since they open just 15 ~ 20 times. The service keeps getting better. Staff is super friendly and the food is the best in Miami. The robots they have taking the food to the tables are a show of their own. Drinks were strong and well done. Food got out quick and exactly as we order it. This place has a handle on every detail you can think of. I will keep coming back. You guys Rock.

Google
We had our daughter’s baptism party at Sergio and the service was spectacular then we decided to have our baby shower here. We had Leo and Melissa for our Service, the food and drinks were amazing.

Nasha W.

Yelp
We love this place when we don't feel like cooking breakfast or dinner. It's typically not too busy, and you can get seated within 5 minutes, if not immediately. The service is usually pretty great and everyone is attentive and food is reasonably priced. On our particular visit we ordered Ropa Vieja. With rice and beans and Maduro it makes this a solid meal that never disappoints. Our server Juan was friendly and very attentive. His positive attitude made our visit enjoyable. I wanted to take photos but we were hungry, so hopefully next time!

Jennifer M.

Yelp
Great service but that's about it. I've lived in Miami my whole life and never in my life have I tasted a croquetta like this one. I actually don't know what it's made of. The black beans were trenched with cumin. Steak was amazing. The imperial rice was literally cheese, chicken and rice. No red peppers no green peas etc..... just so heavy on the cheese. Desserts: Torreta it's like a French toast but this definitely was not what it usually should be. The flan tasted like it was made from a box. *** $100.00 later. I think what gets me so upset is that we truly want to support restaurants during this economic downturn but they serve you lowest grade of food but charge you for top notch quality food. Just so disappointing!

Lauren W.

Yelp
Came during happy hour to treat a visiting friend to some quality Cuban food. Drinks were refreshing, the food even tastier. The service was quick and efficient, we didn't have to wait long for our food I love the Cuban decor, it makes me feel very welcome to dine-in

Alex G.

Yelp
This is one of our favorite weekend morning breakfast spots in Doral. They open early, the place is immaculately clean, the staff is amazingly friendly, the ambiance is super relaxing, and most important, the food is superb. If you're into healthy eating, there's good variety of tasty dishes to satisfy your cravings. I usually have their breakfast special, el mesclado, with ham and house potatoes; it includes cafe con leche and Cuban toast, for a very reasonable price. The croquetas, empanadas and pastelitos are all made from scratch and fresh every day. Start with one of those while you wait for your meal, or take some to-go... you won't be disappointed.

Marv P.

Yelp
Great place to grab a delicious lunch at a reasonable price! The servers are very attentive and caring, to the point that they recognize you after a few visits. If you're looking for big portions and reasonable prices for lunch, then Sergio's is a must.

Dennise M.

Yelp
Love my Sergio's ! One that has drive-thru ! (Which they all should)lol very convenient! Their empanadas!!!! All yummy !!! And the empanadas they have are not sold everywhere ( vaca frita) (fav) A home cooked meal , yummy and convenient. Delivery, pick-up and maybe drive-thru Always busy, and fast past restaurant.

Morgan C.

Yelp
Went last month food service usually good but been there three times lately. Food is half the size . Good service but i mean my ropa vieja was leas than a child s portion. Rice beans pork lechon super small. We shouldn't have to pat for this . They are certainly successful they can give more food specifically when prices are up.

Ashley P.

Yelp
I came after church to have breakfast and this is the second time we come for breakfast and the service has been beyond horrible. The food came out cold and in pieces , I decided we need another breakfast spot after church , I wish I could give this place a better rating but I can not . The waitress saw me posting a review on my phone and literally attacked me trying convince me not to post a bad review that she realized she wasnt the best and things were not warm and still delivered to our table then to give me the reason she was trying to convince them to give a discount .she pleaded that this is their bread and butter and leaving a bad review isn't good for them, she said she was the manager which was a lie . As I was leaving the real manager came over to try to make it right but at that point it was the point of no return , everything That could go wrong went wrong .

david G.

Yelp
The food was great and the service outstanding , our server was juan and he went above and beyond . would recomend the pan con bistec .

Gabriela M.

Yelp
The food was cold and took ages to get to the table. Was missing part of the order and when it came the portion was extremely small. The butter in the toasted bread tasted off, the scrambled eggs had no salt, the ham was extremely salty and the pancakes were bone hard. The coffee tasted burnt as well. Croquetas were served while being cold on the inside. The place is also extremely hot with one of the fans being broken. They are severely understaffed and it was evident in the service. They have these server robots that cause people to stumble including the staff as well. With a drive thru, sit down restaurant and a pick up place this restaurant needs a lot more staff and bigger portions. I ordered the "big breakfast" and the portion wasn't enough for a small child. A shame to see a restaurant that used to be a Miami staple fall to such low standards.

Maria G.

Yelp
The service was excellent. However, the maduros were not nearly close to what a Cuban maduro should be like. It is an insult to any one who has ever had one before or has cooked. Last week I was at another Sergio's and the food was just as bad. It was cold, it went to the wrong table, and sides were missing. Get it together.

Aleida H.

Yelp
I ordered a Cuban Sandwich, at Sergio's Restaurant at 1640 NW 87th Ave, Doral 33178 and I got a ham and cheese sandwich with 3 slices of ham and 1 slice of cheese, pickles, mustard and mayonnaise. There was no pork, when I complained a young man came and tried to explain that the pork they use is a kind of ham, etc. the bread was warm but not toasted, which by the way I ordered "well toasted". Their menu shows Cuban Sandwich with the correct ingredients, including pork. I wonder how many people were getting a ham and cheese sandwich when ordering a Cuban Sandwich.

Ken C.

Yelp
A big fan of clean places with excellent food and fast service with wonderful servers! What's not to like. Will be back for sure!

Ali C.

Yelp
The drive thru . The attendee didn't even let me finish my order and was with the worst attitude over the speaker. Cutting me off all the Time on my big order say obnoxiously "anything else?? Are you done????" Super disrespectful. Look I get that job is not the best, but actively trying to be nasty is never gonna be a win/win.

Yelp
Very yummy food. Great sides. Nice sized portions. Service was attentive. Ambiance was like a local diner type eatery. Also had a small "to-go" window with various fried foods that were also yummy. Good place to catch a local Cuban meal before heading out of Miami.

Miriam T.

Yelp
We have been getting food from this Sergio's for years and little by little the quality of the food has been deteriorating. Tonight we ordered bistec empanizado with Moro and tostones, 2 Cuban sandwiches, bistec with rice and fries, pan con bistec... well let me tell you that as us Cubans say esto le puso la tapa al pomo! We will not be getting food from this restaurant again and will be letting everyone we know not to either. This place is a rip off and a disgrace. All the food was old and cold we ended up throwing it out and going out to pick something else up. Not to mention the Cuban sandwich literally had 1 slices of ham, 1 little piece of pork, and a piece of cheese and did not in any way look like a $12 sandwich.

Juliette M.

Yelp
I ordered the ground turkey meat from the Flaca menu & was in shock at the amount I got for the price of $18. I feel scammed & will not be returning ever for dinner again when there are better places than this for sure!

Jonny O.

Yelp
This location has a drive through which is convenient if you are on the run. The cafecito is hit or miss here, Cuban sandwich is ok. Not bad if you are on the run

Ana P.

Yelp
Their logo states they are a Cuban Restaurant, however, nothing Cuban about their over priced Fricase de Pollo. ($19.00) No salsita, no carrots, no potatoes and the rice was probably days old.

Carolina O.

Yelp
Excellent place! The food is amazing and service is superb! Highly recommend for all type of occasion. Fidel, our waiter was first class!!!!

Talitha C.

Yelp
Coconut french toast was a different take on french toast using cuban bread. You can definitely taste the french toast. The scrambled eggs were good. Waitress was attentive and cuban coffee was good. They give you bread before your breakfast. Great place for families a lot of seating.

Jorge M.

Yelp
Food too cold for delivery! I recommend this place for dining . I ask for pan con bistec was cold and the bread was hard nothing fresh at all!

Kathy G.

Yelp
Beware of this so called "Fresh Fruits" in their breakfast menu. Walked in to have breakfast on a not so busy morning and ordered their scrambled eggs with a side of fresh fruit and was surprised of what i was served. MOLDY GRAPES! I immediately called over the server to explain how disgusted i was and her explanation was that there is another person responsible to check the fruits for the day. OK, i understand but c'mon you are walking over the plate to me, it was so noticeable that even if it's not your responsibility to check the fruit you could have avoided for that to get to the table and avoided an upset customer. Where has the work ethic gone? where has the quality gone? it's just so disappointing.

Hector R.

Yelp
This place is my go to for Cuban coffee and Cuban pastries. I go every morning, I know most of the staff they are very friendly and welcoming. Being Cuban myself I love Cuban coffee and they make it just right. Definitely recommend.

Leo C.

Yelp
Attractive ambiance and friendly, cuban-familiar service and conveniently has a drive thru. But the food has fallen off. Sergios used to care. But it's going down the same path as other places that start strong. Picadillo was half the size of a normal portion, and worse still, it was mediocre as was the congri. I double-checked to make sure we hadn't ordered some lunch-special size. We hadn't. The roast pork was OK. The yuca was excellent. There is no excuse for an established place like this to lose focus on what matters most: deliver quality food. They went from solid to below average for Cuban cafeteria food.

Michelle G.

Yelp
Excellent food, waiters and waitresses are super nice and helpful. Very classy perfect for parties. A++++

Dea F.

Yelp
First time trying Cuban food and must say it reminded me little bit of home! Their own version of French toast was soooo delicious!!!! The fried rice was soo good too, it had a fried plantain on the side I think. (Not sure if that is what they called it). Definitely will come back next time we're visiting Miami!!!

Morgan C.

Yelp
I have been coming to Sergio's for years. But lately the food has been subpar. Really the problem is the portions are ridiculous. Super small even less than half the size you get in a regular restaurant. The food is so small compared to their past servings. Why should we be blamed for the economy. So charge us more and give us half or less than half?! I had a ropa vieja that my ten year old would eat it in . 2 minutes. My wife had chicken a la Blanche was rubbery no flavor horrible the worst meal ever. Less than half the portion . The only thing good were the black beans. Even the wine was a horrible pour and the price was 13! Two sips wine is gone. People should really stand up to restaurants that are screwing the clients . Pathetic at most . Is management aware of this? Area manager or CEO? I wonder

Hany P.

Yelp
This place is either a hit or miss depending on the cook ‍. In my opinion as time passes the less authentic they become in their cooking and seasoning.

Martha M.

Yelp
The worst food and dinner service I have ever had. First of all the food took forever to be served and there were only 2 other tables taken in the restaurant. We ordered the chicken croquettes and they were extremely dry, obviously reheated. We also ordered the flat iron chicken steak and it was so tough you could barely cut it with a steak knife, the black beans were terrible and the white rice was burnt. No one came to see if we needed water or if everything was good. We had to get up and tell the waiter we wanted our check. A different waitress we had never seen before came and gave us our check. She never asked if we needed any to-go boxes or water or anything. No one seems to care there.

Scarlet M.

Yelp
The Sergios in Doral is prob my favorite because they have a drive thru! I love love love their coffee ... and empanadas. These are just my preferences for a quick bite. They have an amazing Cuban breakfast menu and check out La flaca (healthy) options. I recently went for lunch and they have great specials and the VERY large portions. I tried the lechón with congri and tostones. Unfortunately it doesn't seem fully staffed which understandable with the covid situation but I highly recommend this place.

Erica R.

Yelp
Sergio's was one of my final stops during my short visit to Miami last year, as a friend and I stopped for breakfast on our way out of town. If you're craving a reasonably priced breakfast spot then Sergio's is a fit... though I'm not sure how Cuban in style you can consider the breakfast options. They seem pretty generic (eggs, fruit, Cuban toast, a protein like bacon, ham, or chorizo...), but perhaps breakfast isn't especially prone to including more Cuban flair? This girl needs a cafe con leche and maybe some crambled eggs with ham, chorizo, onions, garlic, and bell peppers... preferably served with black beans. ... okay, you get the point. I felt breakfast was lacking. Service was fine though. Out of curiosity regarding Sergio's other offerings, I recently ordered some empanadas (chicken and beef) from Sergio's via Goldbelly (they link to https://www.goldbelly.com/sergios from their own website), as well as their guava pastry (I love guava and definitely wish there was more guava-related items available up North). Unfortunately, the empanadas arrived and were mostly broken or had severe tears in the dough... and juice from the chicken empanada pack had spilled on all other packaging. Certainly not the most effective packaging to begin with, and there were no instructions or anything in the shipment either to give info on how to cook the items (they have some details on the Goldbelly website, at least). I'm not impressed, so don't plan to order from them again in the future. P.S. photos of shipped guava pastry and beef empanadas (from Goldbelly) included for reference.

Julie C.

Yelp
So I decided to try this location because it used to be really good back in the day and I had a mango a Mojito and I am a steak sandwich which wasn't even good it was dry and no flavor and I had told the waitress specifically that I didn't want those fries and she gave me them I said I didn't want but then she got me the right French fries the service is slow they took forever with the drinks because my friend had ordered a guava drink they it was a processs to make I don't think I'll never ever go back for the food I'll go back to the drinks

Jay R.

Yelp
Very good place for either quick food ie. croquetas, empanadas, pastelitos... or a good sit down place to enjoy very good quality Cuban food ie. ropa vieja, vaca frita, bistec empanisado. Great quality food all around. The entree pricing is a bit high for a non marquee restaurant. On a side note....I think the croquetas (when done right) are among the best in Miami. Certainly better than isla Canarias.

Jessica G.

Yelp
I've been coming to this restaurant for years but the last two times I've ordered take out. The chicken vaca frita has been burned to the point I can't eat it. They forgot my black beans again. Besides the the fast that they said 15 minutes. I got there in 20 minutes. In the drive thru I had a car ahead of me. That placed their order. Instead of them having them pull into the space and give me my food. I had to wait until they cooked their food, while mine was ready and getting cold. Unacceptable not coming back to this one. Going back to the one in Coral Way. Get your shit together.

Melissa D.

Yelp
Food came out quickly, was delivered by a robot which the kids were fascinated with. Server was helpful but not overly friendly. It was busy and the food was all coming out quickly. Our food was tasty

Jorge P.

Yelp
Dropped by for breakfast and haven't been to a Sergio's for some time and now I know why, first it took some time for someone to take our order fine no problem we ordered an omelette with chorizo, mushrooms, onions, and Swiss cheese with a side order of tomatoes with unions, it comes with Cuban toast, well the toast arrived it was cold the omelette arrived ten minutes later missing the chorizo and it wasn't an omelette it looked like a crepe they said it was made with five eggs must have been quail eggs had to scape the pan that it came in to get it out and as for the tomato salad with unions no unions, well won't be seeing Sergio's ever again avoid at all cost.

Jim D.

Yelp
Juan was a rude server and I have had angel previously. I love the food here and I suggest you come here just avoid one server. Angel is the best server in the restaurant! Highly experienced please request Angel when you visit. The manager on a Monday night had an issue it appeared with her server Juan as he spoke over her while she was trying to recover the situation, but it seemed to be resolved as he messed up two orders in our group of 5 and didn't seem to care. Mistakes happen that's fine it's how you recover the situation. He argued when we told him the situation, he walks away instead of help. One star taken only because Juan. He was very argumentative and if anyone yells over their manager over and over while the manager on duty was trying to handle it is unethical. If Angel wasn't present to help from afar while still attending to his tables we would have to end ties form our company ever coming here again. Sucks that one bad employee can ruin your experience. No I do not need to pay extra for onions on palomilla. Juan argues it doesn't come with even if the menu said it does. I mean the whole world knows what palomilla is when they order it. Angel and the manager apologized but that poor manager got cut off everytime she attempted to speak as if we were not allowed to speak. I told her I was leaving a review and she did not care. She walked off and did not recover the situation. Angel recovered it by inviting us back which will not be happening as he's not a manager. We only done in Doral because a huge team of us work here so no more visits to here as there is dozens of amazing restaurants that treat you ethical

Kelsea L.

Yelp
Delicious Cuban cuisine from a local favorite. They have healthy options, lunch portions, happy hour, and great dinner entrees. Outdoor seating is available and there's plenty of parking. They also have the typical walk up window too if all you need is food to go. Really nice ambiance as well!

Karla M.

Yelp
This place has been a hit for family nights, especially when you need comfort food! Tip: always ask for garlic bread for the table; they don't offer it, but if you ask, they'll give you some, and it's pretty dang amazing I'm a sucker for Moro and Sergio's always satisfies that craving! I couldn't get any pictures this time around but I recommend croquetas shredded mojo chicken breast chimi-chicken maduros moro garlic bread Only reason why I'm not giving it 5 stars is because the servers can be more attentive and this is the second time we sit at a dirty table.

Mercedes G.

Yelp

Silvia Y.

Yelp
The service was good and the food was great! The Vaca Frita was delicious. Our waiter, Leo, was amazing.

Jenny M.

Yelp
Located in the same building where a storage facility is located, if it weren't for their Sign you wouldn't know there was a Sergio's there. The decor inside is a mix of very retro to modern . Plenty of seating and a large enough bar. They even have a small cafe in the front in case someone wants to quickly order some coffee. There are plants of options to choose from their menu. The service was also fantastic.

Ligia S.

Yelp
Super! The staff is very personable and efficient. Hands down the best mimosa in town! The food is fresh and oh so tasty! Everything on the menu is true Cuban cuisine with an added flair to it. Thank you Pavlo for your added personal touch to assisting me with my service dog in making sure his area on the floor was impeccable.

Javier R.

Yelp
Breakfast at sergo's is good, delicious and the price is right. The decor is excellent and they have plenty of room for large groups. The service staff are nice and helpful when you ask questions about the menu.

Israel S.

Yelp
The restaurant is located below a storage building , it doesn't reflect the level of service the service that we had was great service Leo our server did excellent he went above and beyond with everything!!

Milaydis Y.

Yelp
Great service food was amazing nice and quite during lunch time and don't forget to try the espresso coffee!!

Cristi R.

Yelp
Used to be a regular at Sergio's but the music!!! Unbearable.... They have a Brazilian playlist replaying on a loop an d NO ONE at the restaurant has access to the music. Apparently the Managers control the music. Now, the service is A+ and the bartender is the best but EVERYDAY it's the same music Please, a little Cuban music at a Cuban restaurant!

Javier P.

Yelp
Arianna served us and she was great. we had a big group and she was patient and pleasant and accurate in her service. Everyone was very pleased!

Chris S.

Yelp
Drive-through service is beyond deplorable, employees have no sense of being there lack of sense of urgency, and have no customer service skills they act like you're doing them a favor by buying food from them. Re-training is definitely needed and as an employee doesn't want to be there, they should turn in their resignation.
