Sergio's was one of my final stops during my short visit to Miami last year, as a friend and I stopped for breakfast on our way out of town. If you're craving a reasonably priced breakfast spot then Sergio's is a fit... though I'm not sure how Cuban in style you can consider the breakfast options. They seem pretty generic (eggs, fruit, Cuban toast, a protein like bacon, ham, or chorizo...), but perhaps breakfast isn't especially prone to including more Cuban flair? This girl needs a cafe con leche and maybe some crambled eggs with ham, chorizo, onions, garlic, and bell peppers... preferably served with black beans.
... okay, you get the point. I felt breakfast was lacking. Service was fine though.
Out of curiosity regarding Sergio's other offerings, I recently ordered some empanadas (chicken and beef) from Sergio's via Goldbelly (they link to https://www.goldbelly.com/sergios from their own website), as well as their guava pastry (I love guava and definitely wish there was more guava-related items available up North). Unfortunately, the empanadas arrived and were mostly broken or had severe tears in the dough... and juice from the chicken empanada pack had spilled on all other packaging. Certainly not the most effective packaging to begin with, and there were no instructions or anything in the shipment either to give info on how to cook the items (they have some details on the Goldbelly website, at least). I'm not impressed, so don't plan to order from them again in the future.
P.S. photos of shipped guava pastry and beef empanadas (from Goldbelly) included for reference.
