Serious Dumplings Review - North Miami - Miami - The Infatuation

"Serious Dumplings is a casual dumpling spot in North Miami that serves dim sum and boba tea. The dumplings are just OK—not quite worth going out of your way for. But the boba is great, especially the cheese foam options. While it’s not , Serious Dumplings still works just fine for an easy dinner (it’s takeout-friendly too), and will do the trick if you’re craving soup dumplings on a Tuesday." - Ryan Pfeffer

I keep finding myself bringing more friends here to try the delicious food. Everything we've tried has been delectable. Sometimes they're sold out of soup dumplings, which is disappointing, but understandable because of how tasty they are. We've gone through multiple bubble teas and the pearls are always cooked perfectly and the tea flavors are just right. Expect to have an experience similar to getting street food. Can't wait to continue making my way through the menu.

Google
Authentic and absolutely delicious. Everything was spectacular. The soup and the chicken wings were devoured in seconds which is why there isn’t a picture., as well a the passion fruit boba tea. The chicken wings must be ordered. We are definitely going back to try the rest of the menu. I loved the restaurant’s no frills, self serve style restaurant.

Saw this spot on Instagram and was excited to go. Unfortunately, when we arrived several items were sold out. So we tried several items left on menu. The green teas were great. Restaurant has a 35 maximum space so pretty small, we sat outside. The weather was great, so that wasn't bad. They brought the food out to our table. Don't be like us, if eating there don't forget your utensils right at the register, they also have takeaway containers same area. Very convenient. Food was enjoyable we'll be back

I've been wanting dumplings for awhile and decided to stop by for lunch. Jeff at the front register was soooo nice, friendly and helpful!!!! 😁 Dumplings arrived and they were really good and full of flavor. Also had some noodles too. The only thing I would say about the food is that is was a little too oily. Other than that, it was delicious and I would come again and get the dumplings and try their boba tea next time 😊🥟❤️

Google
Hands down the WORST soup dumplings. There was minimal options - no big. Everything is disposable paper plates or bowls. The dumplings were filled with straight up grease, not soup. The dough was over steamed and gooey/tasted gross. The Dan Dan noodles were flavorless with barely any sauce on them, and also just overdone old spaghetti. The Sanji tasted like it should have been tossed last week and had a moldy aftertaste. The gyoza - how you mess this up I don’t know, but they did. Filled with grease and flavorless. We saw this place on IG and thought it looked great. Oh wow. It’s SO bad. Do not waste your money here.

Google
Was so excited to try this place but was soon supremely disappointed. The boba tea was extremely sweet. The scallion pancakes had a pure grease taste, they were drenched in oil. Disgustingly unpleasant. The soup dumplings didn't taste fresh, the skin was hard and thick. Wouldn't bother coming back.

Google
Ordered pork pan fried dumplings. Tasted very good and loved that the dumplings were rotated in the pan to give texture to each side. Had 4 piece garlic wings which were very good, served with side of Siracha/garlic sauce. Final dish was vegetable noodle soup with ample veggies and noodles. Priced reasonably. Only a few tables as it is a small location.

Google
This serious dumpling spot is not appetizing at all, the look of the place gives the vibe that is not cleaned well. The staff was courteous and served the food ver quickly. However, due to the atmosphere of the place I kind of lost my appetite, there were flies flying around and though the food wasn’t horrible, their location at Boca had better flavor and felt fresher. The soup dumplings had a strange taste and they were very watery. The pecking duck bao buns were lacking in flavor. I don’t think I’d even order take out to be honest. But do be the judge of the place for yourself if you visit. At least in my personal opinion I won’t be coming back.

Yelp
Great spot to get good boba and good dumplings! I got the boba and small dumpling cup combo and loved it! It was a lot more filling than I thought it would be. I feel like you can split the dumpling cup between two people and then each person gets their own boba! The place itself is super casual, small, and simple, nothing crazy. They do have limited sitting so probably not the best for large groups, but definitely a great take out spot. Can't wait to come back and try out some more menu items!

Yelp
We ordered take out tonight from Serious Dumplings for the first time. We grew up enjoying Cantonese style food and so were looking forward to enjoying some dim sum. The Roast BBQ pork buns and the Peking duck buns were delicious. Just the right amount of sauce to add flavor without being overpowering. The pork and shrimp siu mai were flavorful. The pork dumplings were deep fried, not pan fried as I expected. Because of this, the filling inside was dry, but the sauce helped overcome this. The texture difference between the crispy dumpling and the soft inside was unexpected. The Har Gao Crystal Shrimp Dumplings were just OK. Without the sauce, it didn't have much flavor. The Vegetable Spring Rolls were crispy and the sweet and sour sauce was the perfect complement. The Dan Dan noodles was the only part of our dinner we didn't enjoy. The noodles felt overcooked and it lacked depth. It was spicy (which we didn't mind), but the noddles were pretty dry and didn't have a rounded flavor profile. They came with a small amount of meat on top. We will try some other items again another time. Hopefully by the next time, they will start serving soup dumplings.

Yelp
I ordered take out & was super impressed how quick they had the order ready. The price wasn't bad, they were just limited to mainly bobas & dumplings. The online menu was confusing because it gave you options for dif meals like noodles & such but when I called they said that they don't make that. Regardless, the flavor was amazing & everybody was content. The food joint was itty bitty but it's fine if you're doing take out.

Yelp
Cute place, great service, and horrible food. Maybe it's because I have been making dumplings since I was a child, maybe because I go to Dumpling King, maybe because I know good dumplings. The beef was really low quality and full of gristle. They were also over fried. The vegetable had some beige matter that was not vegetable and made me nauseous. I don't think I would ever eat here again! They tried to give me wonton soup instead. I ate it but it was not good wonton soup. Nothing green, not when green onion in it. The broth was probably pork and the wontons just had pork inside, no vegetables.

Yelp
Solid fast casual spot in Davie, in the plaza that everyone recognizes as Asian food central. I did get a sampling of different items and can 100% say my favorite was the chili oil wontons. Do not be intimidated because they are medium spicy at best. But the chili oil is very savory with a little vinegar to balance it all out. I'll definitely order that next time as well as the scallion pancake. It's on the thinner side however still good choice. It is so convenient how self service the spot is. Water, utensils, even plates - just go up to the counter and pick it up on your own. It's incredibly tough to pick in a shopping center full of great restaurants like this one but this is definitely the right move when you're craving dumplings.

Yelp
Boba and dumplings make for an excellent choice! We enjoyed the renowned boba paired with dumplings, specifically the chicken and cheese flavors. The ambiance of the establishment is relaxed, providing a great atmosphere to savor our boba. At a price of $9.95, the combination of boba and dumplings offers exceptional value. Please note that the dumplings were quite hot, so it's advisable to wait a few moments before enjoying them. To our surprise, the meal was more filling than we had expected. We look forward to returning to this delightful spot. We ordered the custard buns with weren't too sweet but was baked to perfection.

Yelp
Scallion pancake was good. Soup dumplings were okay. Noodles were okay. Regular dumplings were okay. Everything was okay and passable and if you are in the area, I would stop by. But there are other and better options in the shopping center. You can order either through the qr code or at the register.

Yelp
I have been wanting to come here for the longest time .. and all I can say is " why didn't I come here before?!" This place it's amazing the dumplings are sooo good and delicious, made to order and there's plenty options to choose from . The shrimp dumplings & the pork pan fried were delicious. The only downside is they ran out very fast .. so plan to come here early . A small little location , not that much sitting but you can always take to go . I can't wait to come back here again, and try more things.

Yelp
A wonderful variety! Everything is, of course, hand made, so availability varies. Had the chive pancakes, pork dumplings in chili sauce, and fried vegetable pot stickers.... All really good!! The staff is friendly. After you place the order at the register of through the app, they will bring your food to you, and bus the tables after you're done- all with a smile and genuine concern that you're happy. They have self-serve water. This is a simple, utilitarian restaurant. When we were there it was just about full, both inside and outside. They also were doing a lot of takeout.

Yelp
A new spot in Broward for soup dumplings! I was craving it on a late Tuesday night and was curious to see how this place would compare to Dumpling King's soup dumplings. The wonton noodle soup is so savory, it's what you'd imagine and expect from a well done soup broth with dumplings and noodles The pork sanji is really delicious, it's pan fried so the bottom has a crispy crunch to it but a soft top to give you the ultimate dumpling experience The soup dumplings were good, but the texture is a little tougher than I expected. The dumpling sauce was really well done, a combination of sweet and savory. Ambiance is a quick cafe that lets you takeout or a quick dine in. Things that I believe this place can improve on: -Utensils: We asked for soup spoons and were given small plastic spoons that couldn't hold the soup dumplings nor dish out the wonton soup well -Service: we weren't even greeted at the door... upon entering we were immediately asked if we were doing takeout or dine in. Throughout our time here we felt constant eyes checking on us to see if we were leaving so the workers could pack up for the night (it was kind of stressful). Keeping in mind this was around 8:45-9pm and they close at 9:30p. Regardless of the cons, I would say the wonton soup and dumplings are still worth a try if you're in the area

Yelp
The service was great and the staff were very personable; however, almost all of the dumpling menu items (the namesake of the restaurant) were unavailable. The items I was able to try (such as the Dan Dan noodles and Dim Sum Har Gow) 3.5/5 in terms of taste and quality. Honestly feel like the frozen shrimp dumplings ones the asian supermarkets are on-par, and the noodles of the Dan Dan were super overcooked and broke apart as I was trying to scoop them up with my chopsticks. I really want to give this place a fair chance, so I will have to come back when they have their main dumplings available to try and update my review accordingly.

Yelp
Serious dumplings is new to the Davie area and is just getting started. For now the menu is pretty limited to just pork and veggie options but I hope they will expand on that soon. I had the scallion pancakes and veggie gyoza and I enjoyed both of them. You have an option to place an order ahead of time or order when you get there. They have a pretty large boba tea menu as well so I hope to go more in the future. Overall it is a spacious environment and it is located next to an international grocery store. : absolutely love, will come back, can't wait to try more things and bring people here : pretty good, some quality issues, would return again : simple stuff, nothing crazy here, location could not be clean or employees not friendly : I may give this place a chance to improve at least one more time : I will not be returning here

Yelp
At my cousin's suggestion, we tried Serious Dumpling for lunch upon my arrival in Florida. Despite our shared love for Asian cuisine, the meal didn't meet our expectations, lacking flavor to say the least. As for the service, we chose to order via the QR code. Be aware that some items were sold out, so I recommend double-checking when placing your order. There is seating both indoors and outdoors. In this instance, we opted for outdoor seating, especially with the pleasant and cool weather. The spicy beef soup I ordered had no spice whatsoever, and the flavor was lackluster. Additionally, the noodles we ordered separately didn't meet expectations and differed from how they were advertised on the menu. Despite my high expectations, the food here was underwhelming. On a good note, I found satisfaction in the Shanghai dumplings, and my Thai tea was also enjoyable.
google avatar

Amber T.

Yelp
Was hoping this place was going to be a hidden gem. Unfortunately, it fell short in many aspects. The food was not worth the $50 spent- the dumplings not seasoned and semi fried. The dough was a bit raw. The noodles had no seasoning. The boba was not chewy at all and flavor was almost medicinal tasting. They were out of menu items despite being open for only an hour. The wait for our order was over 30 minutes. There isn't enough seating inside or out. Considering we are in south Florida, sitting outside in the heat with a bowl of hot noodles is not ideal. The staff seemed a bit all over the place. Bathrooms needed to be serviced. There are no trash cans for customers. The inside was extremely hot.

Yelp
This new eatery opened recently in the Asian mall on the NW corner of Sterling Road and Davie Road. Being dumpling lovers, my cousin and I were excited to try it. We arrived promptly at 11 a.m. on a Tuesday and the place was empty. It seats about 12-16 and is very small. We were immediately disappointed when we went to order and they did not have any soup dumplings (our favorites). We got an order of pork sanji dumplings, salt and pepper wings, and Dan Dan noodles. The wings were a bit salty, but tasty. The Dan Dan noodles were spicy, very peanutty (there was no warning, my husband would have had an allergic reaction), with a little chopped meat (pork?) on top. It, too, was just OK. The sanji dumplings were good, with a nice chewy dough. But a bit light on the meat filling. You order at the counter. And they drop it at your table. I can't say the service was bad, but it didn't stand out. I would give this place 2.5 stars, but there are no half stars on Yelp. With so many dumpling places cropping up, the food needs to be better to beat the competition.

Yelp
I had high expectations for serious dumpling & was excited to try since it is new to the area. The noodles with green onions & the cucumber salad were okay but those are things you can't really mess up. The pork fried dumplings were dry (could've been bc it was fried) but the filling was bland. For the soup dumplings, there wasn't a lot of broth/it was also very bland. The restaurant inside didn't feel/look clean & it was a Monday night so it wasn't busy at all. It just wasn't worth the experience. Hopefully, it improves since they are still new.

Yelp
So we arrived at the restaurant and ordered at the front. Inside the lighting is kind of weird. We weren't given any cups of water despite dining inside so it is more of a self service restaurant. We ordered the shang hai soup dumplings and pan fried chicken dumplings which were both yummy. We also ordered crispy chicken. The crispy chicken was awful. The coating of cornstarch didn't not stick to the chicken and the chicken was extremely powdery. When I asked about it I was told it was just the seasoning. But the chef cooked it one more time. Nothing changed. We still ate it to not waste food but it was unpleasant. For the price point I was expecting better. Would not recommend. Pretty lame.

Yelp
The dumplings are super good. Amazing! The soup dumplings were the best of them all. The noodle soup was mid. Compared to everything else it was a total waste. Barely touched it. The service was okay. They could have explained things better upon entry. The utensils and all containers or bowls needed are at the front desk. They don't bring these items to you with the food. You have to go get them yourself. That's no problem! But, the concept should be explained to patrons upon entry to allow a smoother dining experience. Other than that the dumplings are amazing and there are so many options. I'd like to try the Boca location at some point.

Yelp
Don't get me wrong the idea is great and they do make it fresh but I wouldn't come again. Firstly when you walk in, it feels like sauna and the lack of lights and decor make it like I'm coming into an abandoned store. The price was also high up there. This item with dumplings and the drink with no boba or anything extra cost $20. I would understand $16 but 20 is too much especially if the food isn't even that good. The drink was fine but the dumplings themselves lacked flavor and were rather hard, almost as if I was eating meatballs and not dumplings.

Yelp
I am surprised it took me so long to find this spot. It's only 2 minutes down the road. I placed a to-go order that was ready very quickly. I had the shrimp wonton soup and the pork fried dumplings. The broth for the soup was fantastic but the dumplings (wonton) got very soggy. Next time I will order the soup and ask the dumplings to be separated until I'm ready to eat them. The pork fried dumplings were very tasty and the sauce they came with was a perfect combination. I will definitely make this one of my go-to spots for takeout.

Yelp
Heard a lot about this place on social media which I actually used to live down the street from. Came around lunch time which was very busy but were lucky to grab a seat outside. Again seating is VERY LIMITED. Service was quick and they let us know to check their in store menu for out of items. I don't eat very much pork but the majority of the items we ordered happened to be that. The spices they used had a lingering spice I wasn't a fan of but that is just me personally. All in all at cute spot to try with an assortment of different types of dim sum and located in a plaza with amazing options that we did walk over to and try for dessert. Heard for a while this plaza in my old neighborhood Davie is an Asian food must visit.

Yelp
Delicious dumplings, great customer service, lengthy wait, but it was delicious. I love the dumplings here. The dough is not too thick and doughy, the filling is flavorful, and they have a variety of soups and entrees. It's more than just dumplings. I ordered the scallion pancakes, beef sanji, Peking duck bao buns, and soup dumplings. The sanji dumplings were flavorful with a nice crunch. The soup dumplings had delicious soup and filling. The chili oil on top made a great addition. The bao bun was my least favorite. The meat needed more sauce and flavor. The staff was friendly. The wait was a bit long for the dumplings. They accidentally gave my order to another table. They quickly rectified the situation. Plus, I was having a good conversation with my daughter, so it wasn't a biggie. Overall, I would definitely be back for another try. The dumplings were delicious.

Yelp
This is a quaint, small little restaurant. Cute litter statue outside. However the experience wasn't as great as I thought it was going to be. Maybe because there was so much hype on the Internet and my expectations were not met. Firstly, they did not have any vegetable dumplings and that's the main reason why we came. We figured the name serious dumplings meant they were really serious about their dumplings. They were only serious about a certain type lol . They also didn't have the dumpling cup, the one they advertise online . The scallion pancakes are delicious, the pork dumplings were okay (someone in our party order them and stated that), and the cucumber salad was good, but average just like the edamame. They had different types of noodles, but the flavors were pretty much the same. Ordering the green onion noodles was such a letdown. You can see the pictures. So many menu items were scratched off. That's what I should've taken a picture of. I hardly ever write a low review because everyone or every restaurant has its days. But this was just not as advertised. The table space is very small and cramped so I do not suggest going in large groups. Also, they do not have any real waiting service. You order the food at the counter and someone will bring it to you. That means constantly getting up especially, again, if you are a larger group and everyone's ordering different items... which can't fit in the small table. And the seats are uncomfortable. I've seen similar seats and other restaurants so this may also be the effect of having no space at the table and just being uncomfortable overall. A lot of the items on the menu were not available which was disappointing and affected the overall experience. Maybe we need to try the location further up north. So sorry but maybe this will help them out in some way to implement new strategies.

Yelp
So everything I wanted was sold out! I went in on a Tuesday around 3 pm, so I was a little disappointed. I opted for the soup dumplings the shrimp shu mai and the bbq pork bao buns ( did not name these correctly). The bubble tea was a winner. Authentic and flavorful with many options. When you get there they have you order online and bring to the table . It's small inside and not much space for seating so I'd recommend takeout. But I will definitely return so I can try the Crab Meat & Pork Soup Dumplings and a few other things. They do have you order over the phone and then pay when the food comes so I recommend placing ur order when you are on the way so you don't have to wait.

Yelp
This establishment offers an exceptional dining experience for boba and dumplings enthusiasts. I highly recommend visiting and savoring their delightful offerings. The customer service is exemplary, and I extend my sincere gratitude to the team for their outstanding hospitality.

Yelp
Went in for the viral boba bun cups. They were even better than I expected!! The buns were hot and fresh, as was the rest of our food we tried the soup dumplings & Bao Buns. Place was nice & clean. Easy to find. The cashier seemed a little stressed but was helpful. Would definitely come back for these!

Yelp
My wife and I came here to eat dinner, and this restaurant was busy. When we entered, we sat at the table and had to scan the QR code to get to the menu. We were able to have a paper menu, but you pay through the QR code while you choose the food that you want. When we chose a table, it didn't cleaning because there was liquid on the table but we just ended up sitting down anyway. The food was good, but there was some things that were lacking. The flavors and seasonings were spot on with an exception for the noodles. The pork and shrimp dumplings was hard on the outside, and it should've been soft. The Bao bun was a little cold. So it got me thinking that maybe some things were just warmed up but my wife and I know like it was very authentic. This place is a very casual dining atmosphere. It's quick, and the prices are very reasonable. The only reason I gave it a four was because of the unclean table and some essentials that the Food lacked. Over I would definitely go again because it was very busy and that just shows you that people really like what's being served to them.

Yelp
The social media hype was not worth it IMO. Located in a small plaza with ample parking with both indoor & outdoor seating. I had seen the mini bun cups on their Instagram but did not see it anywhere on their paper menu inside. Went with the crab meat & pork soup dumplings and tried the black tea with cheese foam drink. First I was given a ROSE black tea with cheese foam which I really did not care for. The cheese foam had disintegrated rather than stay fluffy on top which I had never seen before so it wasn't the best boba drink I've had. My brother tried their strawberry boba and same thing, it was ok. The dumplings were good but super messy. The container they were in kept leaking the soup underneath. We also got the plain noodles with green onion that were pretty good but nothing special. Would love to come back and give them another try & ask about the mini bun cups and make sure I get the right drink lol

Yelp
Excited about this new location in davie. I ordered online to pick up and everything was done pretty quickly. Beef Noodle Soup was very tasty and packed with noodles. $18.00 Crab Meat & Pork Soup Dumplings where not my favorite. They lacked soup and they tasted a little odd. $11.95 Pan-Fried Pork & Chive Dumplings were pretty yummy $10.75 Peking Duck Buns were absolutely delicious but lacked duck meat ( it brings 3 which I thought it was great for the price) $13.80 Pork Sanji weee my absolute favorite it was packed with flavor and had more soup than the soup dumplings. Highly recommended. $10.75 Overall I would come back to try it inside.

Yelp
Came here to try out their dumplings! Unfortunately they were out of their veggie dumplings! (Vegetarian). So I just got their spring rolls instead. I will say though that I was surprised at how good their spring rolls were. They were packed with flavor, and they give you 4 in one order. My friend tried the crystal shrimp dumplings and was craving more with how good they were.

Yelp
Well, it wasn't the best experience I had but it wasn't terrible either. We ordered take out and didn't wait too long. The ambiance was trendy and cute. It was a small establishment so my suggestion would be to take it to go because it was very busy. First thing I noticed was there were about 4 tables that hadn't been cleaned and it was hard to find a spot to sit down that didn't have dirty dishes on it. Although I get they are busy this is not very appealing to the eye. We ordered duck bao buns, pork dumplings, soup dumplings, Dan Dan noodles and original milk tea boba. The milk tea, duck bao buns and pork dumplings were all great and I enjoyed them. The soup dumplings didn't really hit the spot for me but my husband enjoyed them. You gotta like soup dumplings. The dumplings you can tell are made from scratch. Great flavor! Next time I'd like to try them steamed. The Dan Dan noodles tasted terrible. When I opened the container I was taken aback by how underwhelming it looked. The flavor was worse. Basically it was peanut butter spaghetti noodles with ground beef. Don't waste your money on this especially if you are a Dan Dan noodles fan like myself. I would try another noodle dish next time I go. All in all, my experience was good; not great. The staff was friendly and the food was good. Some of the dishes were a miss but that's okay. Check them out. Always good having another good dumpling establishment in the 954.

Yelp
If you've explored the dim sum world you'd know there's an art to getting the right balance/ratio of meat to dough to soup ratio. Serious dumpling has nailed it. The meat has so much flavor, not just the soup itself. Service is quick and is a to-go style where you can order and eat in the restaurant or take home to enjoy! (If you order the soup dumplings I recommend dining in). Overall the style is very modern with nice decor of the menu items. What a gem and hot spot for a dumpling place!

Yelp
Nice new dumpling spot in davie. Food was hot and full of flavor. Service was a 10 out 10 with great hospitality. The ambiance is affective for fast service. Will definitely be back and will recommend if your in the area and have time for a bite.

Yelp
The dan dan noodles are delicious. The service is not good. The person taking orders had AirPods in and was rude. When I walked in and said I was ordering for take-out, he told me to order via a QR code on the menu despite there being a functional kiosk and him being there. I asked him if I had to order via the QR code and he said "if you can." The webpage took too long to load so I asked him if I could just order via the kiosk and he took the order. He then immediately sat down at a table and got on his phone.

Yelp
A rising star lands in Davie, lets see if thet can improve and get a 4 or 5 in the future! My daughter shared this Instagram gem with me. So why is my review so low? 1. Ordered Dan Dan Noodles, see pics. Tons of noddles, no meat. The meat to noodle ratio was 3x noode to meat. Had to go find the crumbled meat. The flavors were there, but very little sauce, somewhat " dry". For $10 bucks, should be better quality, flavor. 2. Garic Chicken. Check my photos! Look nothing like photo. Looked like japanese fried chix. Heavy breading. I asked for extra crispy, fried well. Panko/ breading was nice but zero garlic, zero seasoning on chicken. Just no flavor. Sad because real potential for better! On the good side.... 3. Service was great. Guy running counter. His register ID on receipt said "Boss" , so he was BOSSIN! Very welcoming. Answered questions. Ran and served tables. He was all over that little shop! This is a small shop, 15 seats, low on ambience. Its a low-key, college feel. Dont go expecting fancy! 4. Tea was great. Winter melon 50,% less sugar. Nice to customize. 5. Every soup that passed by me as i waited looked heavenly and smelled divine. Large bowls, filled 0ast medium level for $13ish, unsure of quality, as to meat, taste. 6. Dumplings. BEST BEST BEST I ever had. If this place onky did that well, then Id give a 4. But when you offer dishes and you fail to execute well, then i have to rate as such. I paid $20 above for two failed dishes, yet one was the star. This one! GOOD NEWS! Im headed to BOCA spot to test the other location. Will trysoups and dumplings. I think Davie is very new and learning. The kitchen looked tiny so they may need to scale back and FOCUS on delivering the core menu first. 2 poor items out of 3 is a rough start! But i will be back to Davie next month since my I need a new years donut fix from that other Korean shop! Davie is a solid 2! Go over now. Load up on soup, dumplings, and egg roles abd tea. I'd skip the garlic chicken for now until it grew wings to look and taste like a garlic anything! Unless you opened the box to vet. Maybe I got wrong box, but that was NOT a garlic wing! Hmmm. I',m headed to Boca for movie and dinner and that location seems older, more established so Im expecting to feel the greatness!!! Lets see. Will post.

Yelp
We went there 30 min before closing and they still had most of the food items available ( I was afraid we weren't going to find menu items like others reviews mentioned but we did) we had soup dumplings and regular pan fried dumplings, they were pretty good. The service was fast, you pay at the register and they bring you out the food. The ambience was a little dirty and the place seemed a little run down but its okay, wouldn't go there for a fancy dinner.

Yelp
The service was great and the staff were so friendly. The food was decent but not what I expected. I didn't check yelp prior to going but the food did not look like the instagram pictures. The noodles were good. The honeydew milk tea was the best thing I had. I will go back for that.

Yelp
We have eaten here twice. Both times we ordered ahead (~15-20 min) and our food was ready when we arrived. The food is so good every time! We have tried a few dishes and all were equally good. I highly recommend this place! If you are worried about wait times, try ordering ahead.

Yelp
Dumplings were not very soupy. Not much broth when you bit into them. The flavors were ok. Not very flavorful. The Cha Siu Boas were not that good. You could tell that the cha Siu was reheated, probably microwaved. The bun itself was mass produced so there wasn't anything that stood out about it. I was really wanting this place to be really good and I was disappointed. Don't think I'll be going back.

Yelp
I was excited to hear that a dumpling place opening up in the Davie area but I thought the food was okay. Some of the items we wanted to try were also unavailable. We had the panfried veggie dumplings and soup dumplings, which were good. I was a little disappointed by the custard buns as I have had better ones before. The service was great and staff was friendly. There is also indoor seating. If you are looking for a quick bite, I would recommend coming here but there are definitely places better that serve tastier versions of their dishes.

Yelp
I came here on a Friday night with my boyfriend, very excited after seeing them on Instagram. They advertise a mini dumpling bowl on top of boba, which was not on the menu to order. The inside was small, not super clean and self service so you pick up all your own utensils, paper plates, water at the front and then order using a QR code at the table. We ordered a bunch of items and they started to come out one by one about 10 minutes later. The soup dumplings, sanji and shumai were good, but definitely not the best I've ever had. The crispy garlic wings were probably the best thing we ordered, next to the brown sugar boba milk tea. The Peking duck buns were honestly bad. They lacked flavor, had no sauce or that crispy salty bite of glazed skin you would expect with Peking duck. I think if you're new to trying dumplings for the first time, this is a low commitment and quick spot. I probably will not return to this location. I am interested in going to their Coral Springs location which seems to have a more extensive menu.

Yelp
The location is small like many reviewers mentioned but perfect for a quick lunch or to go order spot. We ordered Shang Hai Soup Dumpling Pork n Shrimp Siu Mai, Veg Spring Rolls, Pork Dumpling Pan- Fried and everything was delicious. And (2) Thai Iced to complete the meal which were just perfect. Service is good and staff is friendly.

Yelp
Food: delish but the soup could have used a little more seasoning. Ambiance: it's a small place but it feels cozy Staff: super friendly! Price: mid-range Dumplings: chef's kiss I had seen their posts on Instagram and this place looked good and I remembered seeing it coming soon when I had gone into Davie. I checked them out on a Saturday and it was quite busy. All the tables outside were filled as were all the tables inside. I wanted to order the mini dumplings that came with this cup because I had seen it advertised. Unfortunately the staff informed me that they had just run out because they make their dumplings fresh and they'd run out of the tiny dumplings. I decided to order food to go because I didn't have a place to sit. I got matcha milk tea with soy, the Sanji pork dumplings, and the spicy beef soup. Took about 20 minutes to get my order. They reassured me several times that my food was on its way. I don't think 20 minutes is a long time to wait. When my drink came up. I asked if it had soy and the girl making it said that she didn't see the marker for soy so she remade it with no fuss and apologized which was very nice of them. They were training a new person on the register so it seemed like a simple mix up. When I got home I liked that they packed the broth and the noodles separately. When I had the soup it was a little bit bland. There was a good undertone of flavor, but I think it could have used maybe a little soy sauce or maybe a little more chili oil because it didn't really taste spicy. The beef was good though and the vegetables and egg tasted fresh. The Sanji dumplings were delicious. The dipping sauce was fantastic. I'd go back just for those. The milk tea was pretty average. It was average price so I didn't mind it. The boba were soft, which I love. Overall a good experience and I look forward to taking friends by or picking up more to go.

Yelp
Tried the Davie spot based on new suggestion. Absolutely tasteless/flavorless for every single item that was ordered. "Spicy Garlic Chicken Wing" pictured. Not a hint of garlic or spicy. Don't understand the extra overly fried/grease crumbs thrown on top of the wing that fall right off, also with no flavor whatsoever. Other items ordered that were flavorless: Splash Noodles with Oil, Veggie Dumplings, Crab & Pork Soup Dumplings. Half the menu is "unavailable". $50 waste. Save your money, go down the street to Dumpling King for quality and value worth the wait/spend.

Yelp
This was the veggie pan seared dumpling was so delicious. I was a little skeptical since it was just veggies but it was amazing. Slightly crispy and delicious. The spicy noodle beef soup was so flavorful. The noodles along with the beef and broth were the best combination. The Shang Hai Soup Dumpling was a wonderful surprise . It was full of soup and meat but so worth it. My only suggestion is get there early I wanted to try the meat option of the pan seared dumpling but the location stated they ran out of meat due to being busy. Would definitely recommend going to try it out .
