The 11 Best Boba Shops In Miami - Miami - The Infatuation

"The food at Serious Dumplings is just OK, but the boba tea is what motivates us to return to the casual North Miami restaurant. It’s really good, available to-go, and there are tons of options. We like the strawberry milk tea with cheese foam (you can add cheese foam to anything, by the way). There are also tons of iced green tea options with flavors like lychee and passion fruit." - ryan pfeffer, virginia otazo

We stumbled on this modest restaurant while running errands. We were very hungry and our order hit the spot. We ordered the pork wonton soup, Peking Duck buns and the BBQ pork buns; well made and delicious. I usually like to gauge a Chinese/Asian restaurant by the wonton soup and their wonton soup was as good as any other well known restaurants. We were pleasantly surprised by a robot which brought our order to our table while playing a fun song. That was a real plus. The restaurant was clean and the service was quick and friendly. Yes, this is not a well known fancy franchise restaurant but I give it five stars because it delivered on all points for it's level of restaurant.

This place is awesome. Great food, and fast service from the robot which is unique. It was nice not having to wait for a server and then be checked on and bothered every couple seconds to justify a 25% tip. It doesn’t feel like you’re in west Boca when dining here, and that’s a compliment to the great atmosphere.

Google
I was really looking forward to the fried rice, but unfortunately, it completely missed the mark. It lacked flavor and tasted bland overall—definitely needed more seasoning or sauce. On top of that, the texture was way off. It was overly wet, almost soggy, which made it feel more like a stir-fry gone wrong than proper fried rice. To make things worse, there were huge, overpowering chunks of raw onion throughout. It threw off the entire dish. Definitely not something I’d order again.

Google
The soup dumplings were delicious, the gyoza was as well. There’s a robot that brings you your food. Pretty cool place.

Serious Sanji | Dumpling & Dim Sum & Bubble Tea – 9845 Glades Rd, Boca Raton, FL 33434 Every time we come here the food is absolutely delicious—always fresh, always full of flavor, and always at a price that feels like a steal. The dumplings and dim sum are perfection, and the bubble tea is just right. What really makes the experience fun and unique is the robot that serves the food—it always puts a smile on our faces! This place is consistently excellent, affordable, and enjoyable. We’ll definitely keep coming back!

Google
I love the dumplings here, and I always come here because of them. This time we decided to take a chance and try the orange chicken, and I can say that I wouldn't recommend it, the chicken isn't tasty and the sauce doesn't have much orange flavor, but the dumplings are incredible and super tasty! The service is super fast and the food is prepared on time.

This place is too far from my house. I was beyond excited to try it. I did not like the way that I was unsure about how to be seated. I am so confused about how to order. In a few minutes, the cashier came to take my order. She was friendly. Food came out by robot. The Shanghai green was OK, and wonton noodle soup was salty. Dim sum was bland. Wonton in chili oil tastes good. Chow fun was terrible. The noodles were very dry and hard. Overall 5/10. There is a food smell on my body. I don't like it. The food is quite expensive if compared to the quality. I had high expectations for this restaurant because I saw on Tik Tok. When I was there, I was disappointed.

Yelp
Wanted to try their Pork Pan Fried Dumplings and the Soup Dumplings... and curious about the robot. The chow was just ok. The robot delivering the food was cool to see. When the robot is the best part of lunch, there's no reason for me to return.

Yelp
This was terrible. Abnormally bad. Firstly, the atmosphere is not remotely friendly, you just sit down and order on mobile. You have to sign up on the website you got the QR code from to even finish an order , so might as well stand up and go to the front with the cashier to make your order before sitting back down. They don't have anyone serving you so you need to pick up your own paper plates, plastic cup, napkins and utensils like you're some plebeian at a potluck. You will not be asked how is the food or if there's anything they can make your experience less deplorable. Extremely different atmosphere than the Coral Springs location. The one at Coral Springs you're treated like you're at an actual restaurant with adequate service, there was actual wait time to sit down and eat there because people actually want to eat there. The Boca Raton location on the other hand , doesn't have any wait time and I can totally see why. We ordered sesame chicken (with rice), bok choy, cucumber salad, steamed pork dumplings (8 pieces), crystal shrimp dumplings (6 pieces), and steamed pork buns (3 pieces). Totaled up to 63 bucks. Compared to a regular dimsum - this was grossly overpriced for the quantity and especially quality you get. I only took a single picture of the first three items listed because of how visually egregious this was. The best items were the dumplings and buns because honestly - they were probably not made by these people and just heated up in some way. So let's talk about what they did make to some meaningful capacity. Chicken was essentially vague glued chicken nuggets drenched in a sauce that did not taste remotely like sesame - just weirdly tangy. Didn't try the rice , could've been the best thing there but I'll never know now. The Bokchoy was alright , it was just cooked with a very watery soy sauce and questionably cut garlic pieces- which tells me whoever is cooking does not know what they're doing. Last not but not least is the cucumber salad. Oh my God..... absolutely disgusting. Shriveled and old cucumber was used, as you can see. The marination? It does not exist just like the service of this establishment. They just threw this on top of some sugary sauce. The flavor of whatever sauce this is oyster sauce or some grossly sweet slight savory syrup . There was NO ginger, garlic, sesame seeds, sesame oil, chili flakes/oil, soy sauce, rice vinegar - basically almost anything that would qualify this to be a legit cucumber salad. Just basically a feeble borderline rotten cucumber with random poorly cut pieces of RED onion (???) and God knows what sauce sitting in the bottom. The chili oil that is on the table consisted of black burnt remnants of debris with oil- it had absolutely NO spice or kick to it- I absolutely have no idea what the hell is wrong with this place. We had a robot roll by to deliver our dishes and roll away once we picked them up. Unfortunately after this visit , I'm probably not even gonna bother ever going back to Serious Sanji at any capacity because this was abhorrent. I personally do not see this specific location surviving in Boca Raton for very long. I'll continue making an approximately 30 minute commute in order to enjoy an actual dimsum place that has decent service, justified pricing and authentic food.

Yelp
It's funny the name is called Serious Dumplings when your food is served by a robot, however, the food is quite serious... and delicious. The portions are ample to share. The restaurant is mostly self serve, you can order via QR code, food is delivered by a robot, you take your own plates, utensils and water from a central area. There are humans on site if help is needed.

Yelp
This is a good little place to try out some dumplings. They have a robot serving your food so it's really cool for kids. The employees are also friendly and helpful. Not all the dishes were to our taste but some dumplings were delicious.

Yelp
Food: 8/10 Service: 8/10 Ambiance: 8/10 If you love dumplings, they have a variety from steamed to pan fried in chicken, shrimp, steak and pork/chives. You can also get soup dumplings in the same options in addition to crab/chicken. If you don't like dumplings there's also various stir fry, fried noodles, and fried rices with the same proteins. They also have a dozen different boba flavors and various teas. You won't be disappointed, especially when the robot brings your food lol.

Yelp
Seriously good! This is on the top of my list for casual Chinese food. It blows away the tired menu's that we have become accustomed to. Their menu has a nice selection of dim-sum, soups, entrees, and milk teas, I stopped by for lunch and went with the Lychee Milk tea and beef fried noodles. The meal came out quickly with the cutest robot. She brought a smile to my face. Productive lil' robot too -- she was in and out of the kitchen at least 5 times in 2 minutes delivering people's plates. I'll definitely be back. This is a fun place to sample a variety of dim sum's.

Yelp
I was super excited to try this place. I have conflicting feelings. The soup dumplings and sichuan chicken were great! I did wish the soup dumplings had more flavor inside but one of the best in town. The duck bao bun was actually not my favorite as it had a very strong sauce that overpowers the duck. We also got pork buns and they had 3 tiny pieces of pork in them. I have had them elsewhere before and they were nothing close to the other places. Will be back only for soup dumplings and the chicken dish. The robot is cool and the fact that all to go boxes were readily available for customers were great.

Yelp
The food is good for the price and the place is comfortable and nice. But the worker are a bit inattentive to you. But I guess that is from being young I guess

Yelp
This place is so cute! I recently visited Serious Dumplings in Boca Raton. You can either order at the counter or from your table using a QR code, making it super convenient. The best part? A robot delivers your food right to your table. The dumplings were fresh & flavorful. There's no shortage of variety, so there's something for everyone to enjoy. To top it off, they also serve Boba.
google avatar

Yelp
New dumpling place opened up in Boca so I had to try it. The food was not bad, not as flavorful as I thought it would be. There's a cute robot that delivers your food to you. You sit down and scan a QR code and pretty much order from the table. Pretty simple, straight forward and efficient. Soup dumping - the consistency and soup was there but the flavor was lacking a little. Duck bao - not bad but had too much sauce on it. Overall 3 1/2 stars. The place is not bad! If you've never had soup dumplings before and you're in the area, give it a try!

Yelp
I was beyond excited to try this place. It's too far from my apt to justify driving here for just this place but my new job is down the street so I guess I'll be here often. I did not enjoy the fact that I was unsure about how to be seated. Guy seemed annoyed to say "sit anywhere and use the QR code to order". That might be a lil difficult for less tech savvy individuals. Food came out by robot. The food was good yall. And very warm. You can tell it was made right there in house. Would've been nice to receive my Boba tea before my food came. Very quiet and spacious place. Not a huge place. It's located in a strip mall so it could fill very quickly. But the decor was very quirky and I loved it. I would definitely recommend coming earlier for a lunch than a dinner bc this place is good.

Yelp
Came here at 6:30pm and it was packed! The robotic food delivery was instagramable for those who aren't used to it but honestly the restaurant is a bit small to have multiple robots AND customers getting up to grab their own silverware. Maybe place the silverware on table to avoid crowding? Anyway....food was ok for Asian food in South Florida. The dumplings were not made fresh. Coming from San Francisco I would have to say I could probably go to a local Asian supermarket and get the same ones that were served to me tonight String beans and house fried rice were decent. Noodles had a piece of an egg shell so I showed the manager and got refunded ‍ I guess the best bites were the Bao buns? A little ironic that this place is called Serious Dumpling when they are literally serving frozen dumplings? However, adjusted for Florida this place is a 3.

Yelp
I've been on the hunt for a great dumpling spot in Palm Beach, and I think I've finally found it! I tried the pork soup dumplings (I'm pretty sure that's what they were called), and they were absolutely amazing--so flavorful and perfectly cooked. I'm thrilled to have discovered this place! I also had some bubble tea, which was good, but I felt the Boba could have been cooked a little longer.

Yelp
Okay we did return. I was dragged here. It's hard to know how to rate this place. Zero service, zero ambiance, difficult parking. Tonight (a Monday evening at 6 PM) the place was not busy. You can order from your iPhone at your table, but I hate doing this. There are no menus available at the table. So you order from a desk where you walk in and pay at the same time. McDonald's is more user friendly. The food: The vegetable fried rice was actually okay. We also had some fried buns which were also fine. So I would give the food 3 stars. Nevertheless, I see no need to ever return.

Yelp
Cute restaurant, very cool how the robot brings your food to the table! They seem to be a bit understaffed - just one girl taking orders and another making the dumplings up front. The fried pork gyoza and shrimp shumai were fine, but nothing special. The vanilla boba tea was good. The grilled chicken skewers were not good - they looked like thigh not breast and the texture was rubbery and off. Cute place to come once for the experience, definitely fun for the kiddos also.

Yelp
I have been seeing videos all over Instagram of this restaurant! I had been dying to get there and finally asked a friend to go with me. The restaurant itself is tucked in a shopping plaza, in an older building that needs a little love. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted and told to pick a table. There are QR codes in every booth that you use to see the menu, place your order, and pay. I found this highly efficient, but it may be difficult for a less tech savvy person. My friend and I ordered the char shu Bao buns, shrimp shu mai, crab and pork soup dumplings, and a plate of chicken fried rice to share. That brought the bill to about $45. The menu is very user friendly with pictures and descriptions through the QR code. My favorite part about this entire adventure was that our server was a robot! Check out the video that I uploaded to this review. The robot comes directly to your table, instructs you to take off the food from whatever level of trays, and then says "it has to get back to the kitchen and bye-bye"! Not only was it cute, but you don't have to tip a robot, lol. There are a few sauces on your table, and paper plates / bowls available in case you really want to sauce the food up. I loved the soup dumplings. The flavor was great, they were perfectly cooked, and delicious. The chicken fried rice was really on point, and it made us wish that we had purchased our own plates instead of sharing. I was not a big fan of the shrimp shu mai as it was very fishy tasting. It was very off-putting. And the pork buns were absolutely divine! Perfectly seasoned, in a light and fluffy bun! I found the ladies restroom very concerning. There was a drain on the floor that was depressed about an inch and a half that I tripped on. I think it's definitely a hazard for the restaurant if an older person with a walker or cane were to enter, and I hope they take care of that soon. Overall the food was good, and I'm always excited about a kitchy thing like a robot! I definitely would go back and try some more things! If you're looking for a fun evening, give this place a shot!

Yelp
Was shopping at the farm stand and found this place by accident. Given the lack of good Chinese places in the Boynton Beach area I thought I would take some take out. It was great. Has spicy chicken , pork buns -shrimp noodles. No doubt too much food and leftovers for a few days but that is the way Chinese food should be. Food was fresh /service quick and the place looked clean. The place looks like a pizza place layout so dining is not fancy but I'd rather have good food. I will be back to dine in and try the food piping hot.

Yelp
We enjoy Dumplings so when my wife spotted a new place in West Boca on Glades Road we decided to stop for lunch. Having been open for lunch just fifteen minutes, the place was filling fast so I grabbed a booth while my wife placed our order at the counter. I had the Pork won ton with chili sauce appetizer, which was good but arrived, by Robot, luke warm. We shared an order of the Crystal Shrimp dumplings which needed some help of my chili sauce. They make the dumplings in house and you can watch them prepare the dumpling dough balls in a glass enclosure adjacent to the cash register. As we were waiting for our food I got to watch two employees cutting the dough and sorting dough balls. One of the balls dropped to the floor and was quickly picked up and placed on the tray... (well within the 5 second rule).

Yelp
It's worth a visit to check out the cute robot delivery system. The garlic greens were the highlight of our meal. The fried pumpkin fritters tasted good and had a satisfying chew. My tablemates liked the bubble tea. We weren't crazy about the flavors of the Dim Sum items. I'd go back if in the area to try the noodle dishes. They have a person cleaning up after you leave; I didn't like the accumulation of dirty plates and steamers on our table as we ate. Note: Everything came out together and fast. I recommend ordering as you go, placing small orders.

Yelp
I've been seeing videos about Serious Dumplings on Instagram for quite some time and finally decided to try it out! We were warmly welcomed in and seated. To access the menu and order, you scan a QR code on the same wall that displays your table number (you're also given physical menus). You can either order through the QR code or at the counter. You order and pay at the same time and then a robot brings you your food. We ordered the BBQ Pork Buns which were great. 3 really big soft and pillowy buns with a good amount of pork. The pork and chive pan fried dumplings were probably my favorite. Shang Hai soup dumplings are a classic. Not insanely hot either to the point where the soup burns your mouth. The pork and shrimp shumai were good, but couldn't really taste the pork, was more shrimp heavy. And finally the chicken fried noodle was fantastic. Good amount of chicken and veggies. With everything we ordered, plus 2 diet cokes, the total came to $64.48. Some items are definitely pricey. I really wanted the garlic green beans, but it was another $12 on top of what we had already ordered...for green beans? How's that more expensive than a dish with meat in it? Overall, I would definitely come back. It was tasty, the food comes out fresh and fast and I loved the giant ramekin of chili oil on the table.

Yelp
I would say serious dumplings was pretty good. It's been open for a while now, but I just recently got to eat there. We decided to try a few things when we visited. We opted for the soup dumplings, which were very good, pan, fried dumplings, beef with noodles and beef fried rice. The noodles and fried rice were very delicious. I love that the little robot delivers your food to you, which is really unique and makes it fun. Plus you can watch them make the dumplings by hand so you know you are getting fresh food. I've always heard about Durian fruit and I've always wanted to try it. So we had the Dorian crisps for dessert. It allowed us to get a little taste without having to eat just the fruit by itself. They were not bad! I'd like to go back to try some of the bobas next time.

Yelp
Serious Dumplings is a fairly new place that opened up. Regarding the service and ambiance, I think there are great. The person working the counter was energetic and enthusiastic, helping to make the overall experience very pleasant. I think the ambiance is also very modern and caters to the younger crowd these days. The use of robots to deliver food is unique and cool too. The food itself was ok. I thought the dumplings were on the expensive side for just an ok flavor. While they were decently made, I personally didn't feel like they were unique or amazing. Perfectly adequate. I think if I was specifically craving dumplings, I would not mind dropping by. I just wish the price point would come down a little :)
google avatar

Vincent U.

Yelp
This place is a lot of fun and serves up incredible food. They make most of the dumplings up front fresh. Their menu has a ton of great and unique options. Where else can you be served by a robot.

Yelp
We came here for lunch on a Friday afternoon. This spot has been several other restaurants, so we were familiar with the location. There's ample free parking in the lots nearby. The restaurant is small with booths lining each wall. You order and pay at the counter, or you can order and pay from a booth using the QR code. Each booth is numbered. Your food is delivered to you via a robot. There are two other locations in North Miami and in Davie. The concept is cute. And the food we had was good, but not great. In addition to the various dim sum and dumplings, they have appetizers, noodle and rice dishes, and specialty drinks including milk and green teas. Unfortunately, some of our favorites are not on their list. And some of the items on the menu are not available (or weren't the day we came, e.g. pan-fried shrimp dumplings). And it does take a while to get your food, especially as they were quite busy when we came -- even though it was right as they were opening. We decided to order a few things. One each for us; and one to share. My husband got their pork wonton with chili sauce appetizer. He said it was good but would have been better if served hotter in temperature. I got their steamed chashu pork buns. They were slightly sweet and doughy and stuffed with small pork pieces, but the insides had no real flavor. They were okay -- again not hot enough. To share, we ordered their crystal shrimp dumplings. They were fine. The thin dough is see through and the shrimp was the main flavor. It benefited from some of the sauce on his appetizer. This reminded me of a fast-food version of an authentic Chinese dim sum restaurant. Like I said, it's okay for what it is. And if you haven't ever had dim sum, you might like to try it. Kids might enjoy seeing the robot. There may be better things to order than what we got that are on their menu. And we might come back to try a few other items if in the area, but we certainly wouldn't drive out of our way to come here.

Yelp
Important: This is a self service establishment, however you will need to wait to request a table. Ordering is via QR code on the wall, scan with your phone to place your order and check out. A service robot will bring your food. All utensils, plates, water, to-go containers are at a service station in the center of the restaurant. You eat and leave, someone picks up your dirty plates. This restaurant was packed when we arrived at 1:30 on Sunday. Our wait time was 1 hour, I guess social media really helped this place take off. As mentioned in the beginning, this is a self service restaurant, but you're not told this when you finally get seated. You might sit and wait for a server but then eventually find a 4x4" card on the wall that says "Scan to order". You place your order and check out, save your receipt via screenshot unless you created an account. The reason I say this is because if you ordered a bunch of food, you may not remember if they missed an order. The food was mediocre, some were better than others. My favorite were the chili wontons (not spicy at all) and the pork pan-fried dumplings followed up by the shrimp dumplings and pork soup dumplings. A single robot making runs isn't efficient, especially when it stops to sing happy birthday while other patrons food is sitting waiting to be served. The line is too long and they have space for more seating. They need actual servers to run out the food so they can get customers in and out. Would I come back and wait 30-60 min for a table again? Probably not. Maybe once the hype dies down.

Yelp
Fun gimmick: you can pull up the menu and order at your table using the posted QR code at your table/booth, and the server will bring your drinks and a robot brings your dim-sum selections. Small kids seem thrilled by it, and so was I, tbh. The robot has a couple of pre-programmed fun and snarky quips it uses when dropping off your order, leaving your table, or if the kids get too excited and stand between it and the table. The dishes were pretty good, some a bit better than others (e.g., the Har Gao Crystal Shrimp dumplings tasted like overly salted chopped fish, whereas the steamed custard buns were ludicrously delicious). Food: mostly hits, a few misses Price per quality: teas were $5-$6, dishes were $6.50-$8.75, it adds up fast (we spent $89 for 9 selections and 3 teas) Service: it's a robot, so, kinda fun, and only took 10 minutes from order to table, but you get your own cutlery/chopsticks, etc. Ambiance: small joint, clean-ish, booth benches are as hard as hard gets, nothing special Drinks: every boba green tea you can think of, though the brown sugar boba seemed like agar rather than tapioca, and the thin plastic cups seem a bit small volume

Yelp
It's a busy place, customer keeps coming in throughout the night. Cashier is pleasant and we can also order from our phone. Food comes out in timely manner by the robot. We had the Shang Hai Soup Dumplings which actually has soup inside the dumplings! Crispy chicken has a crispy crunchy coating outside, taste pretty good. Beef noodle soup is not disappointing. Pan fried beef dumplings nice and hot and crispy serve with tasty tangy sauce. Taro boba tea is satisfying. Overall food quality is not bad.

Yelp
Friday night at 7:30pm and busy busy busy. Waited an hour for our food after placing the order. For this place to be fairly new, it looks a little dirty inside. Maybe from all of the traffic. The walls are scratched up, the floors are dingy, and hand painted murals painted on the wall look old. Ok enough of the bad stuff because THE FOOD IS AWESOME, DELICIOUS, TASTY and AFFORDABLE. We ordered via the QR code that's on the table as there are no servers in here other than a robot. YES A ROBOT!!! We have been back, on a Wednesday before 5pm, and that time they were out of most of the food we ordered the first time. I guess if it's not dumplings or fried rice the food is prepackaged because the mouth watering chicken, chicken feet, and other faves were "SOLD OUT!" Our faves are the pork pan fried dumplings and the MOUTH WATERING CHICKEN!!! We had the pork and chives pan fried dumpling but not again. They were ok. The Szechuan spicy chicken was prepackaged and hard and DRY, won't get that again. Everything else we've tried was good. ALSO the Thai Tea was good

Yelp
Not a place to dine in - take out only!! I decided to go back after my good takeout experience. Saturday at 5pm- It was packed. We waited about 20 minutes for a table and then another 10 for the table to be cleaned off so we could sit. There was a line out the door. Inside the place looks kind of dirty. The booth seats are hard and not super comfortable. We ordered using a QR code and the robot brings the food. Though a human brought the drinks. Took about 30 minutes for the food to come out. I think they're overwhelmed and understaffed. Sadly the Thai iced tea wasn't sweet. But it was too hard to get a human to help so I just had to deal with it. The orange drink tasted like water with orange syrup at the bottom. At nearly $7 a drink - this was very disappointing. But the dumplings and rice were very good. My recommendation is take out only. I wasn't impressed with the dine in experience. But I am impressed with the good.

Yelp
I wanted to give this a higher rating but the food overall was not as authentic as it should be. I was so excited to have a XLB restaurant open in Palm Beach! Unheard of. Brought my mom here and our family isn't an expert but we are close to it to say that the soup dumplings are not great. It's good enough for this area though. This restaurant is a self service restaurant. With that said, there is no service except for a robot who delivers your food to your table. Nice casual concept. Possibly eliminates tipping but we still left a tip on the table for the person who cleaned our table. We had a party of 7 and we ordered about $200 worth of food and drinks. The boba tea business seem to be doing really well here. Lots of people coming in just for a boba tea. We ordered 6 drinks and were all pleased with the taste. They had us order over our cell phone and they would deliver it to our table when the drink was ready. We also ordered our food this way. We tried a few items off their menu and I would say my favorite item would be the pork and chives dumplings. Those were delicious. We also liked the scallion pancakes. Those were pretty close to authentic. What we didn't like were some of the dimsum items. They did hit the table fairly quickly so that was pleasing. The shumai arrived and it looks terrible. The beef noodle soup tastes exactly like this one Taiwanese instant ramen packet that costs $0.70. The beef inside was tough. The eggs not flavored. The soup dumplings were thick and did not have enough soup inside. Would we come back? Perhaps. Is it absolutely delicious? No.

Yelp
Overpriced and nothing too special (other than the robot). Only one flavor of dipping sauce regardless of what dish you order. The food isn't bad, but nothing that deserves a second visit. The robot makes it fun for little kids, but there are better choices right nearby

Yelp

I can eat any from serious dumplings then you can eat inside or in car if you have no time. Serious dumplings foods and drinks have so many options amazing!!!! So cute there's robot that can bring you foods! Worker are nice!! they have patient with me because I'm deaf I'm coming often than starbucks!! Also try dumplings steamed with dip sauce chili it's super goood!!!!!!! And I noticed everyone comment reviews about waiting times but you gotta be patient because this place is not McDonalds and they're are cooking long time because it's cooking to taste delicious so be patient if you come in restaurant and remember this is not fast foods like McDonald

Yelp
Checked out this place since there isn't a lot of dim sum places in Palm beach county, let alone boca. The food is ordered through your phone, after you are done it asked for a tip, which is odd because the food is served by a robot, you get your own water, get your own utensils, pack your own to go, and my table wasn't pre bussed. Even though there was a decent amount of workers there. The food is "okay" the soupy dumplings were probably the same quality you would get from a frozen pack from a store, thick, chewy, not super flavorful. There are a lot of other items too, spicy dumplings fell apart and were lukewarm when we got them. Actually a lot of the food was. The drinks are really sub par if you are "into" boba. There's not a lot of options and all of them are dairy which is telling. There is a lack of a sauce bar which is more telling about the place. There seems to be a station in front where someone makes dumplings. If you want to scratch that dim sum itch and you live nearby. It's worth it, otherwise I would look else where.

Yelp
10/10 recommend this place! Best dumplings/chinese food in the area. Everything came out fast and was so good!

Yelp
I had high hopes for this spot. I'm still in search of a good dim sum / dumpling spot. I ordered about 100$ of food from here and basically didn't eat any of it I ordered the pan fried dumplings and the pan fried buns. The quality was so bad. Like they tasted microwaved and had no flavor. The meat was not Juicy and was so Dry. I had to question like did someone taste this before serving it because it's really not good. The only good things were the yummy dipping sauce, the tea, and the fried rice. But the pan fried noodles weren't good either. I think this place has an area of improvement to the flavors.

Yelp
Just finished lunch. I had the pork wonton with chili sauce and the pork and shrimp siu mai. Both were quite tasty but strangely served only slightly above room temperature.

Yelp
Not a fancy place. The gimmick is that a robot brings your food to your table. That was very cute. The food was OK. I don't know if it was good enough to bring me back.

Yelp
We were so looking forward to having an Authentic Chinese restaurant near us and I think some Higher Power must have intervened and poof "Serious Dumplings" appeared! On arriving we were seated quickly even though the place was packed. The decor is Spartan chic and clean. We got to our table and scanned the menu which was extensive and ordered on our phones. It is a self service place with paper plates with lemon infused chilled water. We picked our dishes and ordered on our phones and our food came out soon after served by a talking robot!! We liked all the dumplings and their fried rice and spicy chicken was very good! The Ma pao Doufu was on our "don't make it when we have guests list" or in jother words it was "interesting" lol We will be back when our personal Chef (moi) wants a break!! Fellow YELPERS if in the area give this place a try!

Yelp
I went there for a quick dinner and this place was really cute. They have robot to serve the food, there are no waitresses to take your order so you have to scan to order and pay online. They have a lot of options, specially if you don't eat meat. The food was really good and I would definitely go back there again.

Yelp
It's typical Asian food, people like the robot, I get take out. The food is good, the noodle dishes are wonderful, they say the dumplings are made in house but I've never actually seen anyone make them. The bubble tea is a nice treat. The prices match the location $$$.

Yelp
First I'd like to start off that I knocked off a star immediately for being turned away yesterday. My buddy and I got to the restaurant to order takeout at 9:30p, and we were told that they were closed (as we watched people eat and they were rolling new dumplings). We looked at the sign and it said they closed at 10pm. There is nowhere that says they close the kitchen 30 mins before the actual restaurant closes. So, I came back today. Huge line, it was busy. I ordered takeout, they told me 30 mins. But I noticed they were disorganized and people who were waiting for an hour were getting skipped by other families that got there after them. The service and wait time isn't great so I knocked off another star. The food itself is decent, the two items I ordered I really enjoyed. Soup dumplings and bbq pork buns were very good so I did enjoy the food at least. I wanted to try more items but it seems that I'll have to come back and try for another day where it's not ridiculously packed and with the amount of little workers they had there, it wasn't enough to handle the amount of folks dining in and out. I do recommend to try this place out at least once :)

Yelp
Food quality was poor... the service was even worse. No one comes to your table to explain anything. After 10 minutes i got up and placed the order at the front counter... the staff was cluless, and couldnt care less. PASS THIS PLACE UP...

Yelp
Our first trip to serious dumplings was a lot of fun. The unique service with Food delivery by robot is something everyone should experience. The festive ambience gives you a sense of dining internationally.. anticipate visiting more than once you'll learn how to have the most fun with each new visit. Boba tea requires a special pallet . Don't forget to return your dirty dishes to the lower trays on the robot when she returns to the table table with more food . Looking forward to going back soon. Great value, good flavor fun experience.

Yelp
Really the worst food I have had for a long time. I was lucky I ordered only 2 things on the menu. The damage is 30$. We have soup dumplings w crab meat. The skin so thick that taste like dough. Meat tastes bad. The only thing I like is you can order from your phone and the robot will bring your food so no actual human interaction. The food and drink is bad so it's not worth time and calories. So weird It was busy at the time we came. May be new concept.

Yelp
The food is nothing but amazing! This place is my guilty pleasure and i'm usually here about 1x every 1 or 2 weeks! The service is as fast as possible and they have an efficient way getting the food out fast! (Spoiler: it's a lil robot who comes out to serve you!) The ambiance is cute but the main focus is to serve you some delicious dumplings!! My go to order which I HIGLY recommend: Chicken Fried rice, (I've tried them all but this one's the best!) Pork or Chicken Pan fried Dumplings, Szechuan Spicy Chicken (spicy, sweet, and amazingly delicious). Their boba is also one of the best in Boca in my opinion! My favorites are Lychee Milk Tea w/ boba (50% sweetness) and the Brown sugar boba! If you haven't already been here, you gotta come!!

Yelp
Such a cute little casual spot! I loved all the appetizers I tried and really enjoyed the bubble tea. The staff was very friendly and the food came out on a robot, so cool!!

Yelp
Based on intelligence that was provided to me, I was told that Serious Dumplings are now making their own dumplings versus buying them frozen, and that the food had improved considerably. I was skeptical, but considering I was in the area that morning, I decided to go check it out again with Rachel this time around. Are they making their own dumplings? Yes. Are they are making ALL of them? That I cannot tell for certain. However, if the ultimate question is, has the food improved at all, I'm going to say that it's hard for me to tell and I'm not suggesting you go back. We did not like the shrimp har gow which tasted very fishy and mushy, and we only ate one dumpling and left the rest. They tasted about as commercial as those dumplings get. Soup dumplings were a bit on the doughy side, and I thought that the broth was not very rich in them. The pork filling was bland. Not horrible but not "good" XLB. The pan-fried chicken dumplings we also declared were not good they were underseasoned, had a large amount of cabbage content in them, and were mushy. The beef Sanji were the highlight of what we ordered, they were pan-fried nicely and had a wonderful ginger and scallion beef filling that was properly seasoned and they were juicy. Had they made all their dumplings like this I would've said by any means you should come back here. Because I was still a bit hungry, and we put most of these dumplings away (except the har gow which we left all but one over) I also ordered a shrimp fried noodle dish. The flavor was good although I would say it was overseasoned, very salty, and the noodles were overcooked. Shrimp were ok, probably frozen. Also, I thought the presentation was lousy compared to what was shown in the web ordering system. If you want a casual dumpling restaurant, I would say, drive down to Pembroke Pines and go down to Dumpling King. And if you want a smaller selection of very good dumplings, I would go to Mainland in Coral Springs. Sorry. Near this plaza I also suggest the homemade dumplings at Ramen Lab in West Boca Raton, all of which are excellent.

Yelp
I was really looking forward to this, but sadly it wasn't great-it was really mediocre, bordering on terrible. Ordered the pork and chive pan fried dumplings, bbq pork buns, soup dumplings, cucumber salad and the brown sugar boba tea. Milk tea was basically just milk. Barely any brown sugar, almost no tea flavor. Pork and chive was ok, but luke warm at best. Actually, nothing came out hot. Bbq buns were really sweet and just ok. Soup dumplings, not hot and just ok. CUCUMBER SALAD was AWFUL. Seemed old and shriveled. Sauce was straight SUGAR. Very, VERY sweet. Could not eat that AT ALL. This place is all hype with no actual follow through on the food. Honestly feel like I wasted my money. Will never, ever be back. Save your $$$.
