The 26 Best Restaurants In Mumbai

"For over 20 years, three dishes have had fans flocking to this momo-mad city’s only dedicated Tibetan restaurant: the spicy then-thup soup with hand-pulled dough, aromatic bamboo rice finished with wine and served in a bamboo jar, and, of course, the momos. Their thin, adeptly pleated dough and juicy pork filling surpass many of those found at momo shops that have proliferated the city. What else has worked in the favor of this no-fuss Oshiwara spot is that it’s consistent and affordable every time. Fittingly, this spot with red tables and chairs, and color-blocked red-orange-yellow walls is less about the atmosphere, and all about the food. If you’re branching out from the essential three items, ignore the Chinese menu at the back of the book, and go for pork spare ribs, thukpa, and jasha sausages. " - roshni bajaj sanghvi

The best pork momos in Mumbai. Being from Kolkata, I never realised Mumbai could have such authentic tibetan food in such a small price budget. This place is clearly a hidden gem. Pork momos, Ema Datshi, Tingmo, Denzin De, Pork chilli, Shyafaley are some of the highly recommended items from me and also the owner of the restaurant.

I've tried different things on the menu and everything has been great, including pork/chicken momos and starters & chilli garlic noodles 🤤 so good. I love their accompanying sauces also. Excellent service, too. Highly recommended.

After all the buzz around Suraj Lama Momos, someone suggested we try SERNYAA and we’re so glad we did. We visited the Malad outlet — a simple, low-key spot with a true Tibetan restaurant vibe. Here’s what we tried: 1. Pork Momos (Pan-Fried) – Total flavour bomb. 2. Denzin De – Comfort food done right. 3. Tai Chin Jhasha – A bestseller, and rightly so. Also, shoutout to that black cabbage side/dip — insanely good. Honestly, I had to pull up the menu to remember the names, but every single dish was a burst of flavour. Even the drink on the side hit the spot. Everything we’ve tried here has been consistently good. A peaceful, hidden gem that deserves way more attention.

If you're a foodie who enjoys authentic Tibetan food then this is your place. Don't just a food by its outdoor. The taste is cooked in the kitchen. The food is really great! This simple restaurant is more that the facade.

Nestled along a bustling Andheri link road, this cozy Tibetan food joint offers a perfect escape from the city's chaos. Despite the lively surroundings, stepping inside feels like entering a peaceful retreat, where the aroma of freshly steamed momos and simmering broth fills the air. The momos here are —juicy, flavorful, and served with a spicy, tangy dipping sauce that enhances every bite. The wonton soup is another must-try, with delicate dumplings swimming in a soul-soothing, aromatic broth. It’s light yet deeply satisfying, perfect for a quick, comforting meal. For something more substantial, the Suzila rice is a great pick. Served hot and brimming with well-balanced flavors. The generous portion sizes make it ideal for sharing. Despite being located on a busy road, the warmth of the staff and the comforting food make this spot a hidden gem. Whether you're grabbing a quick bite or settling in for a leisurely meal, this Tibetan eatery is well worth a visit.

Tried the pork Momos. The momos were pretty good, but the sauces were lacklustre. The chilli sauces were bland , and they had an unappealing dry soya based sauce. Also, the momos were not heated enough (little cold in centre) and didn't taste super fresh.

I've been enjoying their food since the last 15 years or so and their food is to die for. Remembering uncle John always. The momo, especially the pan fried ones, truly one of the best in the city. I tried the jhol momo during the winter season....and sernyaa never fails to deliver. They were scrumptious. We devoured every bite. Always hungry for more. Sernyaa may you always remain nostalgic and wonderful. Must visit when in Mumbai.

The restaurant is tiny but the food is amazing. Really good cheap Tibetan food with amazing aromas is what we found. We had vegetarian dishes and they were quite good!
