"When French owner Stephanie and her family decided to open a hotel in the sleepy village of Ferreries, people questioned why they’d chosen the quiet inland location - but they soon accrued a clutch of loyal guests. “People seem to love the authenticity of the village, and we’re equidistant from all of Menorca’s attractions,” says Stephanie. It’s true: halfway between bustling Mao and pretty Ciutadella, and within easy reach of the north- and south-coast beaches, Ses Sucreres is perfectly placed for exploring. And as Ferreries dodges much of the Menorcan tourist trade, you get to spend your evenings sampling tapas in the village bars and your mornings waking to little more than the sound of bird song. The hotel itself is a converted bougainvillea-draped house on a quiet cobbled street where children play. Despite the unassuming facade, indoors you’re met by a funky mixture of international photography, geometric prints, reclaimed desks and a very large portrait of a hound. This creative approach proves utterly beguiling.Note: in spring 2022 they will be adding a second building, with additional courtyard, café and decorative pool; plus, from 2023, a further 6 bedrooms. We absolutely loved our stay at Ses Sucreres in Menorca! Ignasi, the owner (what a wonderful soul he is), was incredibly warm, caring, and attentive — he made us feel completely at home from the very first moment. He even surprised us with a complimentary room upgrade, which was such a thoughtful touch. The atmosphere of the hotel is peaceful, authentic, and full of charm — you can truly feel the love and care that has gone into every detail. We stayed there as a family and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend — we’ll definitely be back!

If I could give ten stars I would. An absolutely charming experience and a lovely hotel. Ignasi is so kind, always available to chat or give advice about where to go. The breakfast is divine and the place is beautiful. A joy to stay in. Worth noting that the area is sleepier than the rest of the island, which we really liked - less touristy.

Staying here was an absolute delight from beginning to end. The place itself is a perfect blend of style, comfort, and soul. The atmosphere is wonderful, soft music in the background and delicious food. A huge part of the magic comes from the host, Ignaci. Look no further than this hotel if you like to stay in a peaceful hotel with style, where the owner couldn't be more helpful, where the breakfast is delish and the beds are comfy. This place is PERFECT! It might not be near to a beach but it's in the small town of Ferreries which is centrally located making it easy to get anywhere. Loved this place 10 out of 10!

What a special place Ignasi and his family have created here. It feels like no hotel we've ever stayed in - the spaces are beautifully designed and curated but in a way that feels so comfortable, welcoming, and home-y. Ignasi and his team are so kind and friendly - our 4 year old felt comfortable wandering the hotel by himself. Relaxing in the shared spaces, we got to know the other guests in a way we wouldn't have in another hotel. The breakfasts were generous and high quality. A truly authentic and unique place. We will be coming back.

Ses Sucreres is centrally located for exploring Menorca. The atmosphere is relaxed and invites curious guests to read and study the art. The outdoor spaces include a garden with a small plunge pool and a large terrace for lounging. Our room was spacious and clean. At breakfast local artisanal products, coffee drinks, and made to order eggs. The kind and welcoming host Ignasi, provided valuable local dining and site seeing information.
