"The award for the biggest pivot during the pandemic goes to Sesame Grill. The fine-dining, French-fusion restaurant was on the brink of closing due to COVID-19 but has since become a successful gourmet spicy chicken tenders takeout. The restaurant purchases fresh batches of chicken daily for its jumbo-sized tenders and marinates them with its own mix of flour and cornstarch. There is a mild option, but the spicy tenders are the most popular. The spice level ranges from mild, medium, hot, very spicy, and Carolina Reaper. The spicy seasoning Sesame Grill uses ranges from $68 to $110 per pound. The restaurant’s frying oil is changed twice daily and the coating for the chicken is made fresh to order. The Carolina Reaper spice level is sure to set your mouth and stomach on fire. The jumbo tenders come with fries, coleslaw, and a housemade dinner roll. Its makeshift new menu is based on customer feedback. It currently includes fried chicken sandwiches, jumbo shrimp, homemade chicken noodle soup, Thai Tea, and even fresh fruit smoothies." - Kristie Hang

The chicken here is so moist, not dry at all. The seasoning is there, I normally get hot or medium. The seasoning for medium seems to be more flavorful than the hot. The corn was delicious, maybe a little more seasoning and it would be good. Been here twice and has yet to disappoint!

Came here for the first time. Food was delicious. We picked from the pre set $29 menu. The crab cake was full of lump crab meat and the burrata was creamy. The short rib meat was tender and the pork chop was cooked just right. Both the creme brûlée and vanilla flan ended the meal on a sweet note.

Google
The chicken is unbelievably juicy (despite it being white meat), the fries are crunchy, and the sauce is pretty good! The 3 piece combo is plenty of food for an average adult (to be honest, just two pieces is quite filling), so it's quite possible to have two meals with the 4 piece combo, which is what I had (cost 10.75).

Google
Sit down dining js widely available. Beware restaurant is going through menu changes. They have eliminated all menu items except for the chicken related food. Lots of parking and drink places nearby. Chicken was extravagantly juicy

Google
Placed my order online when I found out they were open for a few hours on Thanksgiving. It was ready for pickup within 20 minutes. Place was clean and friendly, service was spot on. I ordered three different combos and a side of fries. Total came out to around $40 plus tax. Amazing deal considering the quantity and quality I got. Will definitely go back if I'm in the area.

Google
Amazing fresh food, huge portions and great people. This is a kids meal under $7 with a drink. So much better than all the other chicken places right now!

Google
Good food and Good prices. The staff were excellent, great service. I loved the burratta, 36 hr braised short rib, and bone marrow. I'd come back again to try the new York steak.

Google
Came for Dine LA and the experience for either food or service was phenomenal! Even it’s the restaurant week and all tables are full while Angela was still attentive to make sure our food were great. Love to come back soon!

Yelp
They are closed for good. So, so sad. Angela, if you open up something else please let us know.

Yelp
Parking: Sesame Grill is located in a small plaza. They share a small parking lot with several other small businesses. Parking is usually not hard to find. Food: I came here a few times when they were a sit down restaurant. The food has changed completely since then. They now serve pasta, Asian bento bowls, and chicken burgers/tenders. I tried their Spicy Garlic Crunchy Chicken bowl and it was alright. The chicken tasted like generic Asian fast food and the veggies that came with it were a bit undercooked. I think the veggies would have tasted better if they were cut into smaller pieces. On the other hand... their chicken tender is amazing. The tenders are huge, juicy, crispy, and flavorful. I would definitely recommend getting their tenders or chicken sandwiches

Yelp
On a Saturday afternoon in October, my brother wanted to have lunch here. It wasn't too busy at 11:30am and I ordered popcorn chicken with rice and salad while my brother and sister ordered chicken tender meals. This time we sat down to enjoy the ambiance. There was free water in the water jug and wait for our lunch. Then we met with the owner and checked on us. The popcorn chicken was good with rice and salad. It was fried nicely and taste like Taiwanese popcorn chicken. My sister enjoyed the chicken tenders, Next time I will try their new burger combo.

Yelp
Going From a French restaurant to a fried chicken tender joint! Bold move to survive the pandemic. Amazing quality and taste. If you like the sub par food served at well known chicken tender chains, then you definitely need to give Sesame grill a try. Excellent fried chicken tenders and They have some great tasting dipping sauces as well! Their Jumbo tenders are enormous ! The light and flakey breading is full of flavor and the chicken inside is deliciously tender and juicy. Fried Shrimp is also deliciously crispy outside and never overcooked on the inside. Must go back to try their many other offerings like pasta and curry katsu. They also cater for events! This place is run on a minimal staff but they do their best and service is excellent and personable. Be patient. 10/10 will be back.

Nik J.

Yelp
I am updating my review to talk about their pasta which I am eating right now. It's so delicious it's compelling me to write about it. Penne pasta with plenty of cheese, a homemade marinara sauce with little chopped onions for texture, ground AND sliced sausage, big slices of cremini mushrooms.... Man I can't get enough. And their jumbo tenders are still jumbo after all these years despite inflation. These people care that the customers get their money's worth.

Yelp
Updated hours. Open till 8pm Takes credit card In a plaza with lots of parking It used to be a sit down and fancy restaurant but the pandemic made them shut down and down size and change ideas. The owner is working the cashier and she cares alot about opinions. Now serve fried chicken tenders with other Asian rice bowls. New items are added to the menu Waffle Fries- get this!! It's better and more crispy than chick fila a. Can order half $3.95 and full orders. Fried chicken sandwich- $5.95. Can order hot style for an extra dollar. Huge chicken breast meat. Actually quite good. The meat is moist and tender. I would come back and get this again. 4 piece chicken tender combo $12.75: huge pieces of chicken breast deep fried. And a thousand island sauce. Comes with 2 sides. I chose vegetable roll and fries. The fries weren't special.

Arielle L.

Yelp
Absolutely glorious tenders. It may seem like a higher priced treat but it is such a great value. I cannot stress enough how serious they are about the JUMBO and the HOT in their tender descriptions. They're also remarkably crispy and juicy. So many places have let me down by having tenders that are neither genuinely spicy nor filling. Yet here I ordered a 4 piece a La carte and was sweating by the 1st tender and then full by the 2nd. This place restored my faith in hot chicken takeout and I will be back soon. Looking forward to trying other items on their menu as well.

Yelp
After hearing multiple recommendations for Sesame Grill and seeing it posted on SGV eats, I finally decided to give it a try, and I'm so glad I did. I opted for the 4 Piece Spicy Jumbo Tenders medium. The plate arrived with four generously-sized tenders that put Raising Cane's to shame. Accompanying the tenders were a fluffy Hawaiian roll, crispy fries, a super refreshing coleslaw, and two containers of their delightful signature sauce. The tenders were perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. The seasoning was spot on, and the medium spiciness added an extra kick without overwhelming the palate. The sides were equally impressive, with the fries being crispy, and the coleslaw providing a cool and creamy contrast to the main dish. Everything tasted incredibly fresh. The portion size was so generous that I had plenty to take home. The service at Sesame Grill was outstanding!! The owner was incredibly friendly and attentive! She kept prefacing that I was going to love the food and that it would be really good. And she was absolutely right! It's clear that they take pride in their work and strive to provide the best experience for their customers. I'm personally not a fan of Raising Cane's and would highly recommend giving Sesame Grill a try instead. The quality, taste, and portion sizes here are on a whole other level. I can confidently say that I will be back for more!

Chelsea C.

Yelp
I'm so sad to see this place go. I visited a couple times this year and they got the best chicken tenders. The owner is always so nice too.

Jessica A.

Yelp
I love the chicken from here. It's so crispy and delicious and not greasy at all! Love how you can customize the heat level. My husband and I always opt for the jumbo 5 piece meal and split it. It's that much food! The cole slaw is fresh and more of a sweeter type than a vinegary type. I always have the sweet potato fries as a side. The meal comes with a spicy sauce on the side which is great. We often order off their website for pickup. With all the new fast food chicken spots moving in nearby, we have to make sure to support this small business!

Rachelle L.

Yelp
Sesame Grill chicken tenders never disappoint - and as a pleasant surprise they are now open again for dine in! Tastes even better getting to eat the food fresh~~ Portion sizes are super worth it and the owner Angela is always so friendly and takes great pride in the food she serves- Sesame Grill's concept has changed because of the pandemic but her passion for food has stayed the same. Will always be back! Food: 5/5 Price: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Ambience: 4/5

Elina W.

Yelp
Best fried chicken tender ever! Friends have recommended this place and I feel like it was worth the drive. The tenders were very crunchy on the outside and moist on the inside. The owners here were very generous with their portions and provided amazing service. Definitely would recommend this local business.

Joseph W.

Yelp
Are they really closed???? They had the best best chicken tenders. I hope the owner can keep this going! I've been eating here for the past 25 years!

Tiffany L.

Yelp
Been coming here for at least 20 years, and the concept has changed drastically. It used to be a high end French Asian fusion restaurant, but now it is more of a quicker takeout restaurant. We come here about once a month to support small businesses like these, and really enjoy their food. I personally preferred the fried chicken sandwich over the chicken tenders, but both were good! We also got their spaghetti with meat sauce, which was really good too.

Crystal N.

Yelp
Second time coming here. My first time, they only had take out. But recently they opened their dine in! Their servings are HUGE and super juicy. The food came out quick. The old lady/owner was so sweet. She explained they recently got new lights and decor and hoping to expand their menu. It's very family friendly! This spot is located in a huge plaza. Would come again.

Dana-Lyne F.

Yelp
I live nearby, and have passed this place hundreds of times.  "I will try that place one day," I always said to myself.  Today was the day. The lady who took my order was friendly and welcoming.  I ordered the two-piece combo.  I thought it was a bit pricey until the plate was put in front of me.  Substantial portions worthy of the price. I am not a fan of cole slaw but this was quite tasty.  Crunchy, fresh, delicious.  The dinner roll tasted like there was a touch of honey in the batter.  I liked it.  The fries were good.  The chicken tenders were superb.  Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside.  HUGE!!!  I am glad I ordered the two-piece.  I am full. Whenever I can't think of what to eat, I will think of this place.  It's very good.

Suki L.

Yelp
Probably the best chicken tenders that i have had. Never thought i would describe meat as juicy but this is it. The tenders are large, crispy, tender and juicy all at the same time. This is small family owned business and the service is wonderful. Definitely worth the visit.

Christopher H.

Yelp
I have met my spicy food match! The portions are so generous and the quality of the food is fantastic. My partner and I both got the 4 piece chicken strip meal, and we each had enough food for two days. I asked for the "very spicy" level, and I was warned that the name isn't just for show. We got out order, and I could smell the spice level through the bag and I knew I was going to love it. They should rename the "very spicy" level to "oh, so you want spicy, huh?" because that's what it felt like, and I LOVED it! My partner got no spice. The chicken strips in both our meals were huge and perfectly crispy and so juicy. I can't wait to go back and try their other meals. The service was very friendly and welcoming. For the prices here, you get much better food, and larger portions than compared to some of the fast food chicken strip places that are popping up nearby. Don't skip this gem in Arcadia, you'll be glad you stopped by, especially if you love spicy food as much as I do.

Rowell G.

Yelp
Not a local in the area but, I highly recommend Sesame Grill to everyone. I ordered their Fried Chicken Breast sandwich with extra lettuce, tomatoes and pickle. For the price I paid, it was well worth it! Great service, the staff are friendly and accommodating. Definitely coming back!!!

Grace J.

Yelp
I discovered this restaurant during covid when I was looking for local restaurants to support. Reading the prior reviews, it seems they used to serve Asian fusion food with a French flair. However, they changed their menu to fried chicken tenders and sandwiches during covid. Since then, they have added different bowl options to their menu. As for the food, chicken tenders with their chick sauce are delicious and always perfectly fried. Their newest addition of popcorn chicken bowl with minced pork and veggies is definitely a plus. The minced pork is very flavorful that I wish they would make it an option on its own and not as a side. The veggies I received with the bowl varied between steamed bok choy or broccoli. Overall, it's a delicious meal which I find myself craving from time to time.

Kelsey K.

Yelp
I know why everyone raves about this place now! Forget about Raising Cane's and support this small business instead. Got the spicy two finger combo mild and it lasted me two meals, that's how generous the portions were! Mild is not spicy at all so I'll go for medium next time. Fries are crispy, large, and fresh. No complaints about the coleslaw either! Love that they include a small Hawaiian dinner roll and two slices of pickles. The owner is also super sweet and friendly to all the customers! Definitely a shop worth supporting :)

Angela C.

Yelp
Came back recently for some fried chicken and saw that they expanded their menu to include rice bowls/bento box style plates. I'm glad that they're offering more options, and something my wheat allergic son could now buy and enjoy with us. In addition to a chicken sandwich, we decided to try the #2 combo - Fried chicken tenders with Jasmine Rice and Curry Sauce. It was good except for the curry sauce. I would say it tastes more like a Hong Kong style curry, but it really lacked any flavor, and needed more salt. Maybe next time I'll try the tomato sauce, except I'm afraid it will taste like tomato soup!

Justina W.

Yelp
Ordered the five piece chicken tenders. It came with French fries, coleslaw, and a roll. The chicken tenders were very tender and juicy but lacked flavor. Also ordered pasta with meat sauce. It was okay. Nothing special. The sauce was eh. I prefer to eat the chicken tenders with Chick-fil-A sauce.

Della W.

Yelp
Picked up the most delicious and juicy tenders tonight for dinner, even better than chick fil a and raising canes down the street. The mild tenders were crispy and lightly battered....not to mention huge! My husband got the shrimp fried rice and liked the addition of bean sprouts in it. I ordered online and pick up was fast. Support small businesses and give them a try. Good food and great service are hard to find these days. The portions are big so we will be enjoying the rest tomorrow for lunch.

Kevin L.

Yelp
I finally decided to give Sesame Grill a chance after ignoring my friends' recommendation of this place. I ordered the 4 Piece Spicy Jumbo Tenders (mild). The box came with 4 huge tenders (Raising Cane's could never), a Hawaiian roll, fries, coleslaw, and two containers of their signature sauce. I was very impressed with the taste, texture and portion size of everything. It was all very fresh and tasted crispy and well-seasoned. I couldn't even finish everything cause they gave a very generous portion. The service was excellent as well. The employee (or owner?) was very nice and was very thankful for us supporting her local business. She also said that the frying oil is changed everyday which means that the food is always fresh. Anyways, if you're tired of Raising Cane's shrinkflation tenders, I highly recommend coming here and giving it a try. I would definitely come back.

Matt C.

Yelp
Sesame grill was always a special place for me. In high school it was the fancy place to go to bring a date. You'd dress up and be aware of your manners. The food was always great and it always seemed so busy. I will cherish the times I've eaten at Sesame Grill.

Brian T.

Yelp
I came here knowing this place just changed into a chicken tendies joint. I had to make the difficult decision of choosing between chicken tenders and chicken sandwiches. Ultimately, I decided I wanted nothing more than pure chicken in it's finest form, so I ordered the tenders. These tenders are HUGE, I ordered 4 of them because I typically order 5 from other chicken places like Chick-Fil-A or Chicken Now. I finished 3 of them maybe took one bite out of the 4th one. They are crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. The chickens also had a good amount of moisture on the inside. Their chick sauce is quite tasty and definitely goes well with the tenders. The meal also comes with fries and a sweet hawaiian bun. I enjoyed it as a fancy restaurant and I can now say I enjoy it just as much as a tenders shop.

Ty N.

Yelp
Best fried chicken in town! Had Raisin Canes recently, and Sesame Grill is way better. Chicken is juicier, crispier batter, better flavor, and bigger. 1 piece from SG is the same size as 3 pieces from RC. Price is very reasonable too. Plus, you don't have to wait in the long lines like those big chain chicken places.

Julia H.

Yelp
Haven't been back to Sesame Grill since I tried for DineLA when they were still serving Asian Fusion. Was finally around the area to be able to try their famous Chicken Tenders! We ordered to-go and went to a nearby park to eat. Tenders were decent sized, lightly breaded & fried, juicy, and real thick pieces of chicken! I was impressed. Love their thin cut fries, sauce for the chicken tasted good (reminded me a bit of ChickenNow), and the coleslaw was okay...much lighter than say KFC's. I also ordered the Oriental Chick Salad. I'm not sure what the dressing was supposed to be, but I didn't end up using it because it looked like a pink jello. Luckily the chicken had enough flavor and I don't mind plain salads. Both came with a yummy Hawaiian Roll. Staff was super friendly and service was really quick. We were told our order would be ready in 15 mins., but it was ready in about 10. Ample parking in plaza. Staff was kind enough to let us use their restroom, even though the restaurant side was closed.

Travis P.

Yelp
This place has changed from the old sit in style restaurant to more of a fast food pickup and go. Orders take about 15 minutes to get so call ahead if you don't want to wait. First off the portions are large and the prices are really good. This place is absolute valuetown. I got the spicy garlic crunchy chicken and it heavy with the sauce but not overly salty and slightly crunchy. It is a solid choice and quite delicious. The vegetarian egg rolls are easily better than a lot that I've had at other places because it was perfectly fried and still crunchy. They have a lot of new items such as curry and walnut shrimp that I didn't get a chance to try but might in the future. Come check out their new stuff, the food is overall really good and would come back.

Brandon S.

Yelp
I had visited sesame grill many years ago before they switched to a chicken shop. I decided to give them a try since I was craving some chicken tenders. I ordered the two piece jumbo tenders. The chicken tenders were huge and delicious. The exterior was very crispy and crunchy while the chicken meat was juicy. These were some of the best chicken tenders I have ever eaten. The sauce that was included made the chicken tenders even more delicious. The coleslaw gave a nice light taste to the heavier chicken and sauce. I did not really like the fries though as they were kind of stale. The Hawaiian bread was nothing special either. Overall, the price is amazing for the delicious chicken tenders. Even though I did not like the fries or bread that much, I will be returning for more.

Rachel W.

Yelp
I am so glad that we stopped here. I called for a take out order 15 minutes before closing- not sure if their kitchen was closed- but the lady on the phone was so nice and I didn't feel like I was bothering her. I got the shrimp combo and it totally hit the spot. Absolutely loved it! Thank you sesame grill for fulfilling my late night cravings, and thank you to the lady at the cash register (same that took my order)-- she was extremely sweet! I will be back- don't worry.

Natalie W.

Yelp
Angela is so nice and auntie like. Her food is even better. Im a pretty big eater and was able to share a 4 piece combo with my fiance. Ive never had a chicken breast so moist. The sauce was delicious. Great food and even better service. 5 stars!

Ray S.

Yelp
Sesame Grill's chicken tender is THICC. And juicy. Best tenders I've ever had and it's worth noting that I'm a big fan of that chain restaurant across the street. It's significantly more delicious and bigger than any other fried chicken I've ever had. If you like it spicy, I recommend getting it in medium because hot and the level above hot is really SPICY. Maybe even Fear Factor level spicy. This is what you should get here. When it comes to service, they're very accommodative and friendly. I recently ordered for a party and they had everything ready to go by my requested pick up time and customized party tray.

Lisa T.

Yelp
I was nearby at a doctor's office and I remember this place being not too far from here. I have been seeing these chicken tenders on SVG eats and Sesame Grill was on my list to check it out. I called in my order and it was ready when I got there. The lady who handed it to me was super sweet. She even put my order in separate bags because the chickens were piping hot right out of the fryer and she didn't want them to become soggy. I got myself an order of the 5-piece chicken tenders because I was sharing this. This was way enough food. I ended up eating 1 1/2 pieces. The chicken tenders were a good size. They were juicy, crunchy, and still hot when I took my first bite. I love how they call it fried chicken tenders because that is the precise description. The sauce was amazing. Definitely dip your fries and tenders in it. The meal comes with crinkle fries but I read you can change it to tater tots. Game changers. I love tater tots. I'm not much of a fan of coleslaw but I enjoy it. I ended up tearing some chicken and throwing it with the coleslaw for a bit of extra crunch and it was delicious. This place does remind me of raising cane but I do enjoy the chicken tenders a lot more here. Everything just tastes fresher. Overall, it is a solid place, and I would come back again!

Edith Y.

Yelp
So I've only tried them since they've pivoted from an Asian Fusion restaurant to the post pandemic chicken fingers. They have since expanded their menu to include other chicken products such as soups and sandwiches and gourmet bowls. I've tried a few of their items and they have done it all right! Their tenders are juicy on the inside and crispy and crunchy on the outside. Their fries are amazing too. I like both their crinkle-cut and seasoned waffle fries. Interestingly I like their crinkle-cut better. I think because they use a good potato ratio. I've also tried their shrimp which is really good! But I have to give a huge shout out to their popcorn chicken bowl! It comes with rice, minced pork, and veggies. Note they are a little scarce with the veggies. Sometimes 1 or 2 pieces of broccoli but I can honestly overlook it as their minced pork is soooooo good! For a place that specializes in chicken I wasn't expecting much but it really blew my taste buds away. The popcorn chicken is excellent but when I crave this place, I crave that minced pork. TLDR; everything on their menu that I tried was fantastic. Get the minced pork. You won't regret it. If they sold just the minced pork I'd buy a quart of it.

Vicky W.

Yelp
This is a throwback review. We ordered the food through Yelp and picked up at the store. The lady on the phone was so nice and friendly, she suggested us to get these two combos so we got to try their best signature items. When we arrived at the store, mask wearing is mandatory and there is hand sanitizer provided. The environment is very clean and neat. When we arrived at the store, the food was ready within minutes!! Every items is freshly made upon orders. Customer service is very good and we felt so welcomed. These are probably the best friend chicken tenders I've even had for a long time. The outside is SUPER crunchy and crispy, the inside is juicy yet well seasoned. I'm drilling again while writing this review now lol. Shrimps are so fresh and you can taste the freshness in every single bite; the meat is tender enough to bounce back when you bite into them. Actually we went back to Sesame Grilled at least 3 more times after this visit

Jenny Y.

Yelp
I have never had chicken tenders so...well, tender. I don't know how they make chicken breast meat so soft and juicy. I suspect they use Harry Potter-esque magic. The pieces of chicken are huge. I am not a small eater. I do well at a buffet. But after 3 pieces of the tenders, I'm done. It comes with a soft Hawaiian roll, fries, and coleslaw. They're very good about substituting fries out for double coleslaw if you wanna cut down on starch. And don't get me started on the dipping sauce. It's amazingly addictive. So recently they've introduced Taiwanese style rice dishes. If you know me, you know I have a weakness for Taiwanese/Chinese style rice combos. BUT! If you ask, they can substitute rice for veggies if you wanna cut down on carb. They don't advertise it, but they're very accommodating. The only downside of this place is--- why isn't it down the street from me?!

Jennifer L.

Yelp
During pandemic, sesame grill switched from French cuisine to fried chicken tenders. Loved their spicy tenders and chicken sandwich. Crispy and not too dry. Big portion too. But the fried shrimps were not that great though. Shrimps weren't very fresh and the cocktail sauce was like a jelly that I couldn't dip it atI'd skip those.

Mike M.

Yelp
Best fried chicken breast in town!! Love their milk shakes too, made with real mangoes

Mandy F.

Yelp
Thanks to SGV eats on Facebook, here I am at Sesame grill for chicken, I have been to this establishment before the switched over to serving chicken during the pandemic. Ordered online, paid and was able to go in and pick up. Quick and easy. Even packed it in a huge box so I didn't have to fumble around with 5 orders. Chicken was so juicy and tender, just fell right off, the dipping sauce is good and you can tell its homemade. Not some generic sauce from a bottle. I got tater tots! These pieces of chicken are huge and filling. I ate 1 piece and a few tater tots and I was full. I shall be picking at it throughout the day. Staff was super friendly when picking up.

Wally S.

Yelp
The food is amazing!! I had the 3 piece combo and a garlic chicken rice bowl soooo delicious! If you want tenders this is the place

Lydia S.

Yelp
Found this place after the pandemic hit so never dined in. This is my go to place when taking my daughter to the Orthodontist. The portions are so large that I order their 3 piece tender combo and it feeds me for lunch and dinner. I usually grab the spicy (hot) level when I want something spicy. When they say it's spicy, it's spicy. There is the strong spiciness but with flavor. The tenders are always juicy and made fresh. There are 3 levels of spicy - mild, medium, and hot - all tender, juicy, and flavorful. This restaurant is a place worth trying.

Christina T.

Yelp
Can't believe I waited so long to update my review ! 5 stars all the way , dine is open now and so amazing ! Food is always sooo good and beats the other chicken places ! Huge portions and shareable plates !

Kimberly T.

Yelp
This place is the definition of bang for your buck. I heard about this place serving up chicken tendies in the SGV eats page. My first time trying their tenders was with a group of friends trying their reaper spice level and ultimately paid for it. Despite how extremely spicy it was, I went back to try their food again on my own to try it out for myself. They are GENEROUS with their portioning. The tenders are bigger than the length of my hand and they're pretty thick. The breading is crispy and the chicken isn't dry! I ordered the chicken sandwich for myself and it was GOOD AS HELL. Half of the sandwich kept me full. The sauce is the real mvp too. As for drinks, I highly recommend the mango smoothie! They use real fruit and the mango pulp was pleasant to snack on. Ordering online was relatively easy and there is plentiful of parking. Service is great too. Yay chicken!

Solomon K.

Yelp
Finally leaving a review after coming here when they pivoted to chicken tenders during the height of the pandemic. Their chicken tenders are MASSIVE and always fill me up. I'm not a fan of their spicy tenders and I think the sides could use some work, but I'll look past that because the service is also amazing. I told the owner once that I didn't really like their spicy tenders and she gave me some for free to try because they were experimenting with their recipes. The hidden gem though is their pasta. The texture & the taste are all there and I'm planning to get party trays of the pasta for my parties! I jokingly tell my friends that the best pasta in the area is made by nice, old Chinese lady (she's amazing and super hospitable!!) They're in a plaza with a giant parking lot so it shouldn't be a problem to park! Probably gonna go grab some after I write this review....

Yelp
Sesame Grill has been one of my favorite Pandemic-era finds, thanks to the good folks over at the SGV Eats Facebook group! While I can see from reviews, and photos, and updates from the owners themselves that this spot was a very different place pre-Pandemic, I'm more than happy with the spot that it has become! Sesame Grill now specializes in chicken tenders and chicken sandwiches. Think Howlin' Rays, but different...dare I say, better? Their servings are generous, and the chicken really is the star. Huge pieces and always deep fried to perfection, with crispy coating, juicy, succulent meat, and quite a bit of a kick if you choose to order your tenders spicy (they really are very hot! Don't say I didn't warn you!), you really can't go wrong. Prices are reasonable as well. A 3 piece order of tenders comes with cole slaw, fries, and a piece of their freshly baked bread for only $8.75. Prices go up in intervals as you add pieces, and there is an extra charge for spicy chicken. They also have an assortment of other offerings, including fried shrimp, egg rolls, different types of fries, and other special dishes, such as ravioli and chicken soup that are pro by the owners on the SGV Eats page. Call ahead and place you order for quick pickup, as sometimes there can be a wait at the door during peak hours. Either way, it is worth the wait to support this local business and their delicious food! So overall... -The good: Generous portions of their amazing chicken tenders and enormous chicken sandwiches! Tasty and freshly made. Truly some top-notch chicken. -The bad: I ordered medium spice chicken tenders once and was unprepared for how spicy they were! They pack a lot of heat and flavor! -The ugly: Upcharge for spicy is somewhat high. Difference is $1.50 for spicy. I'd be more inclined to order them without the upcharge.

Yelp
Found this restaurant on SGV eats and so glad I did! We wanted a try a little bit of everything, so here's the breakdown. Chicken Tenders Combo: HUGE and delicious! Thick pieces of juicy chicken tender. My only caveat is I wish it was seasoned a little more, but that's what their sauce is for. The bread and coleslaw are pretty good too. Two chicken tenders will leave you full. Fried Shrimp Combo: Jumbo shrimp and so good! Definitely get it if you're a fan of shrimp! Waffle Fries: This MAY be the best waffle fries I've ever had. Super crispy and served hot! Chicken Noodle Soup: A little on the salty end. If they could just make it a little less salty, everything else was really good. Chicken Alfredo Ravioli: A little pricey for 5 ravioli but they are huge! Inside is STUFFED with chicken, but unfortunately, it's a little dry. Mango Smoothie: Good, but it tastes a little artificial to me. Worth the value and delicious food!
