The Clerkenwell boudoir feels like it’s been the spot to sip champagne and squint at somebody or other in a booth for a few years now. Everyone from Florence Welch, to Alexa Chung, to Phoebe Waller-Bridge, to Harrison Ford has graced its artfully dilapidated walls by now. "Sessions Arts Club is home to waltzing candle flames and charming staff who serve nonchalantly elegant modern European food made for swilling glasses and seducing over. Since this Clerkenwell spot opened in 2021, people have been taking days off for 11:45am lunches on a Tuesday. "Sessions is the kind of place you daydream about when you’re thinking about the perfect grown-up restaurant for your birthday dinner. It’s almost entirely lit by candles, the ceiling feels 100 feet high, and the artfully dilapidated room looks like a setting for a raucous party scene in a Paolo Sorrentino film.
