We celebrated my daughter’s engagement at SET Steak and Sushi, and it was truly an unforgettable evening! From start to finish, everything was absolutely perfect. The food was amazing — every dish was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The staff went above and beyond, making us feel so welcomed and ensuring the night was special for our family. The ambience was incredible, elegant yet comfortable, creating the perfect setting for such a joyful occasion. I can’t thank the team enough for helping make this celebration so memorable. Overall we had great time with good food and beautiful ambiance! Except waited 15 mins for our cocktails to be brought out, out of battery light and not working heater that asked few times to be fixed. Valet only with 2 hrs validation and would be $15 total Busy on Sat night so restroom was a long wait and full house inside out

This is a phenomenal spot in OC for good service, delicious food and excellent atmosphere. We tried many of their menu items and loved their spicy grilled octopus (really spicy) and tableside hot rocks. In fact, we ordered the hot rocks twice as it was so deliciously marinated with with balanced flavors. Sushi is very clean and no fishy smell and they use premium steak. However, you must try their desserts. We had dulce de leche conch shell as well as their warm chocolate pudding cake; BOTH ARE AMAZING! The place gets busy, so you might be asked to wait few minutes for your table, even with reservation, and service can be little slow, but it is perfectly okay; just enjoy the atmosphere.

★★★★☆ SET Steak and Sushi I stopped by SET Steak and Sushi for breakfast, and it was alright overall. I had the breakfast burrito, which was decent, but I was a little disappointed by the limited breakfast options — there really wasn’t much variety to choose from. The ambiance was nice though, calm and modern, which made the experience a bit better. It’s not a bad place to grab breakfast, but I think it would shine more for lunch or dinner.

Had a great experience at SET Steak & Sushi in Newport Beach. It’s located inside the Pendry at Fashion Island, so the whole setting feels elevated and stylish. The food was good. Definitely a spot worth visiting for a nice dinner or a special night out.

Went to celebrate a birthday. Reservations were no problem. Food and atmosphere were good. My only issue came when I got the bill. I had taken my own cake for the celebration and at no point was I told when I called when I walked in with the cake or when they offered to cut the cake that we would be charged a cake cutting fee of $8.00 per person. That was a total of $56.00 just to cut a cake that didn’t even cost that much as it was a small 8inch nothing bundt cake. I reached out to them via email afterwards but still have not heard back. So please be aware of this if you are planning to do the same. Also parking here is valet only.

The hospitality here is next level. The SWEETEST staff, they really made our night. Our server, Sarah, gave the best recommendations and was so accommodating! The host staff at the front were also so kind and complimented my dress. Even the other staff were so helpful whenever we needed anything and were so attentive and easy to talk to. They made for my sister’s birthday to be really memorable. The sushi SET was really fun and delicious. We all LOVED the mashed potatoes and the Branzino was delicious! The Bang Bang shrimp appetizer was also really good and I would recommend it.
