"Open for about five years, this popular Mediterranean cafe in Belmont keeps its shakshuka on the simple side, showcasing the eggs in a spicy tomato sauce. It’s available during brunch, from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sundays." - Rachel Leah Blumenthal

I'm amazed by the high reviews. I ordered the half chicken sandwich and salad. Likely the most unappetizing chicken sandwich I've eaten. The pita was dry and the chicken blah and unappetizing. The salad was over dressed and too tart. Sorry for 10.50 I expect a lot better. And seriously look at the size of the portion :) If you can't do a decent chicken sandwich I'm not tempted to try the other offerings. I won't be returning.

I live down the street from this place and was really intrigued by their offerings at first, then came the reality. Initially the cafe looks welcoming with nice desserts on display and an open kitchen. However, my main issues with this restaurant are the following: 1. They do not stick to their hours - very often, I'll find them randomly closed for almost no reason. 2. They run out of food even when it doesn't seem to be crowded. They are usually very unaccommodating when offering other options... no passion. 3. I have never met a friendly employee there.. most of them seem to be really fake or act like they're doing you a favor. 4. We placed our first big order and the food was mediocre at best for the price. There are much better options in the area for the price and same kind of food. Go elsewhere!

Incredible flavor, incredible quality, astounding prices. Every dish felt very gourmet, like it should be worth twice as much, and to be honest I think I would pay twice as much too! Wonderful selection of dessert pastry, various goods, and delicious Mediterranean specialties, made 100% in house, and flavor like nothing I'd had in a long time. Staff was very helpful in explaining names I wasn't familiar with and open to conversation about the food and the business. 7/5, come here and see for yourself.

Consistent, enjoyable food. The fries somehow stand out as worthwhile on their own, but the meals and wraps always hit the spot. Once in a while the register is being manned by a new employee who makes it difficult to pick up an online order.

This is my favorite neighborhood spot! The food here is so fresh and delicious, especially the tomato tarragon soup, roast chicken, and lavash. Brunch and coffee here are also phenomenal. The staff is lovely too! I go here at least every other week.

I stopped in because I was hungry and there was a place to park on the street. I am not really a fan of Mediterranean food but did find a half roasted chicken meal on the menu. It came with a lot of sides that I didn’t have much interest in but did get french fries with it. Took it home and it was very good. Although I don’t have interest in the rest of the menu I would stop in again for this chicken. Very clean restaurant.

In town visiting and came here for dinner. Everything was so delicious. I really enjoyed the butternut squash soup, hummus, falafel, and ice tea lemonade. The space is comfortable with big windows with lots of natural light. I wish I lived here so I could come all the time!

We love this place. We live in the neighborhood and it makes a lovely walk to dinner. The Sunday brunch is our favorite, and a great way to simplify entertaining our friends. We're lucky to have great food like this in Belmont.
