London’s New Restaurant Openings - London - The Infatuation

"Somerset House is planning something big for its 25th birthday. Setlist is a new arts venue, with several chefs behind the food. Expect dishes from each, like a suya buttermilk chicken burger, pizzettes, baja fish tacos, and signature ice cream sundaes curated by chefs like Opeoluwa Odutayo, Andrea Montes Renaud and Laura Copp, Sophie Wyburd, and Terri Mercieca." - sinead cranna, rianne shlebak

Forget the dodgy tacos, Setlist is best for riverside pints - Review - London - The Infatuation

"We hate awkward conversations but unfortunately we need to have one with Setlist, the riverside terrace at Somerset House. The thing is, babe, you’re a bar, not a restaurant, and that’s OK. Despite the presence of three separate cuisine offerings that meander from a satisfying potato-clad saucisson pizzette, to West African classics, to one of London’s most truly offensive baja tacos by way of (potentially) Mexico, most of the food here isn’t essential for a good time. Instead, spontaneously summon a couple of friends who will encourage riverside pint consumption, another friend who can be entrusted with SPF top-up reminders, and momentarily cheat on your local pub garden with views of big red buses chugging along Waterloo Bridge. If you do get hungry, order the hench beef wahala burger which comes with sweet suya yassa onions and, like all of London’s most satisfying stomach-liners, will require a minimum of three napkins. video credit: Heidi Lauth Beasley video credit: Heidi Lauth Beasley video credit: Heidi Lauth Beasley Pause Unmute RESERVE A TABLE Food Rundown Saucisson Pizzette As impartial journalists we can’t hold this creamy, lightly herbed white pizzette solely responsible for the new grease stain on our tote, but it should come with a high risk of olive oil drip warning. The generous orbs of sausage and firm potatoes are a safe bet for mindless sunshine sharing, though. PlayMute video credit: Emily Hai Beef Wahala Burger Behold, the big old burger that probably makes 99% of London’s crispy, thin smashburgers feel a bit insecure. It’s not messing around—the patties are served just on the right side of medium rare, the slow-cooked brisket adds a little smokiness, and the subtly spicy kaanne sauce is a whole lot more flavour-forward than yet another run-in with ketchup. PlayMute video credit: Emily Hai Baja Fish Taco We’ve had fish fingers with more charisma and if there’s a synonym for ‘Sahara’ going spare, we’ll use it to describe this hard, crisp tortilla. Avoid it even if a ray of sunshine and your third pint are conspiring to tell you that habanero mayo sounds like a good idea. photo credit: Emily Hai" - Heidi Lauth Beasley

This place is amazing – I highly recommend it! Oona, one of the waiters, treated us incredibly well. She kept checking in to make sure everything was perfect and that we didn’t need anything else. The food was delicious and arrived very quickly, and the cocktails were amazing – really tasty! The weather and the atmosphere were also fantastic. Don’t hesitate to come here – you won’t regret it. Thank you so much, Oona!

Setlist is great for a afternoon or evening by the river! The atmosphere is quite nice and the food/ drinks were both tasty. Do note though that if you're planning to order food, ask for one of the long tables/ a table with a QR code. We got a smaller table and had to flag down waiters to order as we were unable to order at our table or at the bar.

This place behind Somerset House is a proper surprise. Mostly outdoors, with a holiday-in-the-Med sort of vibe, brilliant drinks, and a food menu that’s way better than it needs to be. When there’s live music, it turns into something really special. Best part? You’re in central London but not paying through the nose. Feels like a secret worth keeping.

I visited Set List Bar a few days ago and was thoroughly impressed by the atmosphere and professionalism. The venue effortlessly captures that vibrant London energy. A special mention to Adarsh at the front – he carried himself with exceptional poise and charm, setting the tone for a great evening. His welcoming demeanor and attention to detail truly elevated the experience. Looking forward to returning soon

I was lucky enough to attend a Birthday event here on Sunday the 7th of September 2025. I am not sure I have ever experienced such brilliant service from every single member of the crew. Right from the get go from being greeted with smiles, courtesy and respect. The whole event - from my perspective and other guests was phenomenal. Excellent food served with a smile and , bar staff were never overwhelmed, always ready to get anyone whatever drink they requested and - man, fast - it was crowded and busy and we never waited more than a couple of minutes to be served. #Kudos to the owners for employing such well trained, knowledgeable, well presented people who treated everyone like royalty! Highly recommended!

The atmosphere was nice, they played a selection of amapiano for setlist and a touch of bashment but mostly amapiano/afro house and afro beats. Absolutely loved the mango martini but the food was just alright. The sauce they put on the food is quite cold so makes hot food go cold pretty quickly. Would give it another go but probably just for drinks nothing more.

Great location especially the outdoor seating in summer. They had a fantastic DJ team playing really fun music on Friday night. Their food... Was okay... Not something I'd go back for to be honest. The nachos were tasty and so we're the fish tacos. The rest I feel needs more work. Especially the aubergine pizza... the aubergine just looked like mush on the pizza and had way too many seeds.
