Came here after seeing a show at Lewis Playhouse because I was in a time crunch and needed something good to eat that wasn't fast food, but was fast casual. I've been wanting to try Seven Grams since it first came to Rancho and the day I visited was the first day I did not see a long line out the door. We dined in but this place is tiny so expect to wait for a table for a while or you can try sitting at the bar seats against the window facing east which is what we did.
There were 3 of us and we ordered the following: beef roll, scallion pancake, pork wontons with chili sauce, golden prime beef noodle soup. The total came out to around $50 including 2 soda cans and it was more than enough people for all 3 of us. Our server was really nice and brought us 3 bowls to split the soup and also 3 appetizer plates so we could share those as well. The beef roll by itself is enough for one person to eat and be full of of. It's think slices of beef with green onion, wrapped in a flour pancake a little thicker than a crepe. It's savory, simple and sooo good and I love eating it with chili sauce. The pork wontons are always a popular fave and are delicious and the scallion pancake is similar concept to the beef roll, minus the beef and it's light, savory and very good. The one thing I've never had before that I had here was the golden soup and that hit the spot. I believe it has tumeric in the broth or some spice that make it interesting. It's so tasty and the noodles, veggies and beef make the meal filling. This on its own would be more than enough for 2 people!
Once we were done, we asked for the bill and they charged us right at our table. The food came out fast and I'd say we spent 30 minutes total in there, so we were able to get fresh, hot food and eat it all and be on our way. After eating here, I craved all those dishes for a while and had to find somewhere closer to where I lived that served it, but honestly Seven Grams does it better!
